I loved staying here We were in the estate cottage Fire was built and ready to light when we arrived Some provisions on arrival Inc fudge (which I loved ) and a bottle of Prosecco We used the hot tub which was fabulous Wildlife and surrounding estate magical We were also lucky to still see some seal pups at Horsea Staff couldn’t do enough. Wow where to start!!! Well, we had the most amazing weekend stay in the Gatehouse North celebrating a 40th birthday. The house was beautiful and totally exceeded our expectations. We loved the decor, styling and quality of the furniture/fixtures/fittings etc. and we felt like the property was finished to a really high standard. It really was a luxurious stay. The hot tub and games room were fantastic additions to the property and definitely key features we looked for when booking. Thanks to Hayley who was great in making everything seamless. A few points to note below: - The Agar was not that hot and was difficult to cook on - More cleaning products could be provided (sponges, kitchen roll, cloths) - Top floor bathroom shower temperature control didn't work - The fire was great, more wood needed on weekends - BBQ wasn't that clean or needed to be replaced (we didn't use) All minor points other than the Agar which proved challenging when cooking
A picturesque cottage, fantastic for a quiet new years break to relax and recharge just beware of the steep stairs after a glass of fizz ;)
