This was our 2nd visit to Northumberland Cottages at Breamish House this year. The views are just incredible and we just had to come back for another visit. The hosts Richard and Fiona are just so warm and welcoming, helpful and very knowledgable about the local areas. The Kennelman was equipped with everything you could need for your stay. What can I say? Wow!!! I booked the Coach House with no expectations as quite often cottages aren’t what they seem but this Cottage delivered more than it described on the packet. The location is excellent…approached from the village down a long private driveway, it’s 5 minute walk to the Running Fox Cafe, Plough Pub and bus stop. We actually jumped on the bus to Alnwick, 20 minutes and visited the unmissable Alnwick Gardens and Wooler in the other direction to visit and dine at the whiskey distillery. We book these types of cottages a lot for family Holidays and it’s safe to say this was definitely one of the best. Northumberland was beautiful and these cottages made the perfect home away from home. Both Richard and Fiona couldn’t do enough for us and would interact with us having a little bit of fun every time we saw them. The cottage was perfect, with a lovely outside space and collection of garden games which were kept in great condition and provided a lot of entertainment. We were welcomed by owner Richard who was an excellent host, providing us with local information. The cottage was ideal for 2 people, very well equipped with absolutely stunning views in all directions. Great pub & cafe within walking distance. Location was great for visiting places like Alnwick & Bamburgh.
