Me and my partner enjoyed our 3 day stay at swallow cottage in Skegness Chestnut farm it was peaceful and will be returning again to try out Conker Cottage.
A very comfortable cottage with enclosed garden. Perfect for fishing and relaxing. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of places to eat within walking distance.
We have used CHESTNUTS FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 YEARS AND USUALLY STAY TWICE YEARLY . ITS LIKE HOME FROM HOME TO US .WE HAVE STAYED IN A GOOD FEW OF THE COTTAGES OVER YEARS . WITHOUT ANY MAJOR ISSUES , BUT IF WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING IT WAS SORTED IMMEDIATELY . MARY AND THE STAFF ARE WONDERFUL FREINDLY PEOPLE .
Was spotless and had everything you could want for a very enjoyable stay and the husband and son in law enjoyed the fishing what more could you ask for
Fantastic stay in this 1-bed cottage annexe in a beautiful part of Lincolnshire. Communication with the hosts was very clear and informative. Extremely quiet, private area overlooking a wildlife pond and fields, the cottage was right next to a small working farm with some goats. Very peaceful environment with all the facilities you could need for a rural retreat! Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit the Wolds or the coast.
We visited again with our son, his partner and our two grandchildren. We love the enclosed garden at Rose which is exactly what 2 young boys need for playing out. The boys helped feed the animals every morning and loved the playground. We have been visiting the farm and the country cottages with our extended family for over 35 years and they never disappoint. Many happy memories of holidays with our parents too.
We have stayed here 3 times and hope to return again next year if not before. Accommodation is spotless and nice having a fenced garden for our dog. Staff are unbelievably friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.
We absolutely loved it here. Visited out of season. short walk into village with nice pubs. Lovely walks and the animals on the farm are lovely, especially the goat. It was spotless. So comfortable and well equipped. I will be returning again in the future.
We had a great stay and communication with the host was excellent. It was a really good location, only a 10 minute drive from the beach. Everything was clean and well looked after and had everything you could possibly need.
We really enjoyed our stay at Conker cottage. A big thank you the staff team who work hard to keep the place to nice. Really friendly staff. Really appreciate the enthusiasm when allowing kids to feed animals etc. it makes it very special. Cottage was lovely and well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had a great time and honestly can't think of much but her are a few Suggestions/comments: - Gate around play area? The site is obviously next to a very busy road a short walk from the play area. Daisy cottage was lovely, very clean and with everything you need for a holiday. It is on a working farm with extra facilities for children. Play areas and even a tennis court. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay there.
We love coming to the Chestnuts every Easter, years ago we could all fit in Ivy and Rose together but we have spread into another 4 cottages but always congregate and party in the Easter House, as the kids now call it. We scatter chocolate eggs throughout the garden area and let all the young ones loose on Easter Sunday morning, they absolutely love it and most of them are old enough now to go on their own to the games room, the park area and the large enclosed play area to play football or tennis or just run about. A lovely stay once again at the farm. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Great location. Highly recommended. Unfortunately this time we did find out the cleaning wasn't up to the usual standards we have found on previous visits and we had to rewash most of our and pans before using as several had food deposits on them.
The barn is an absolutely lovely place to stay and so much room. The bath was a little tired and one of the outdoor seats but apart from that it was perfect! We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again.
