We enjoyed this perfectly equipped apartment and the amazing view and we definitely want to come back. Next time we hope for a little better weather with less wind and more sun so that we can enjoy our afternoon tea on the balcony.
The house is in an excellent location, just a short walk from the village centre with excellent views from the balcony. We were lucky with the weather so enjoyed some beautiful sunsets during our stay. Upon arrival, we had to spend a few hours cleaning as various areas were grubby... Glasses were dirty (we put them all through the dishwasher - we wiped down the shelf where the glasses were kept and the cloth came back brown), there were food crumbs in drawers, placemats had food splatters on them, sticky spills and mucky paw prints in various places on the floor, build up of cobwebs and dus...more
A super house for a stay in delightful Criccieth. House is very warm and snug, with all conveniences. We can't wait to stay again next year.
what a stunning beautiful location. I have never stayed anywhere before as stunning as this. Peaceful, relaxing but a short drive to the village for essentials. Definitely recommend the butchers in the village. Was met by Beth the owner who Aldo baked us a scrumptious cake and supplied us with eggs from her free range chickens. The cottage was super cozy and comfortable..home from home!!! I don't often return to the same place, but I will DEFINITELY return to The Retreat. Left feeling that I had made a new friend in Beth. Lovely lovely host .
This cottage was ideal for us. We loved the venue with the art gallery and cafe next door. It was quiet and the owners were at hand only if the need arose. The cottage itself is well equipped and the decor and furniture was to our taste. We loved the art work on the walls. We would book the cottage again when staying in North Wales.
The accommodation was superb very well thought out and practical. The views were wonderful to wake up to and Patrick and June were charming. This is somewhere very special to stay and we left feeling like we had fully recharged our rather failing batteries.
we had an amazing holiday in this clean large &spacious holiday house and amazing views ideal for large group
This is a beautyful cosy cottage a stones throw from Llanrwst and convenient for all the highlights of North Wales
We stayed here for 5 days for our wedding anniversary. The location is perfect for local walks, amenities and getting to more distant places by car. The cottage is very cosy, clean and generally a lovely place to come back to after a day out in the fresh air. There are some lovely restaurants and pubs a stone's throw away from the cottage. Overall would definitely recommend.
Had a wonderful stay house was spot on great base to see local area would reccomend it Garden secure for the dogs Views front and back fantastic
Super stay in a lovely apartment, wonderful views plus every comfort.very well equipped beautiful decor and close to many lovely places to visit.
Great setting for chilling out with nearby walks and cycle tracks. Garden was great space enjoyed by dogs and humans. 6adults and house was great in that enough space for socialising yet quiet nooks for down time if people wanted own space.
The owners of the cottage are amazing, really helpful and friendly. The location is superb, close to all the natural attractions. The gallery and coffee shop are a must; tastefully done and a great place to relax. The grounds are equally beautiful. The cottage itself is really nicely done with all the comfort you need. I would say this is the most beautiful cottage I have been in for a very long time. The only problem was that the kitchen and downstairs (apart from the bathroom) were too cold as the radiators in those areas did not get warm enough. We reported this to the owners and I am su...more
We stayed for one week, 4 adults, 3 teens and 2 dogs. Plenty of room and close to centre of town, within driving distance of plenty of activities such as canyoning, zip wire and fishing. Conway itself was gorgeous with a beautiful harbour and interesting shops. The house had a lovely view of the castle from the decking at the front of the house. Lots of dog friendly pubs and restaurants too.
Our second visit to this property and the much improved weather compared to last year meant we could take advantage of the decking area.
How to I begin to review this beautiful place?! The drive was nerve-racking due to the single track roads, at times our 1litre car struggled with the steep declines and inclines! On arriving, and slowly driving up the steep slope to the house, we found the key and were welcomed into cottage by the underfloor heating and immediately removed our shoes! Once unpacked, kettle on, we wanted to message our loved ones. Sadly, no phone signal or wi-fi to enable us to do that. A lot of the reviews in the guestbook mention this as being a positive, whilst I agree it’s fantastic to disconnect, there w...more
We had a great week in Angelsey just before the latest lockdown. Ty Ni is a nice house with plenty of space and a nice kitchen and bathroom .Beaumaris is really nice town with a fantastic pub round the corner (George and Dragon) and on the main street nearby the Bull does really good food. The local fish and chip shop (Neptune) is worth a visit. The coast path around the island is well worth doing we only had a week but we hope to come back soon.
The location of the cottage was perfect .It was a short stroll through a park to get to the centre of Conwy which was a buzzing little town with lots to see and do. i would say it was a little small for four people but just right for 2/3. It was immaculate on arrival with a treat of a bottle of wine and welsh cakes a nice touch. A good base to explore the north wales coast , Anglesey and Snowdonia. A must is to walk the walls of the town giving you stunning views .Everything you needed was in the cottage,. Not much of an outside area TV reception very poor and no internet. Also a blind needed ...more
We had a good week staying in Sea View cottage. The accommodation was small but perfectly adequate for our stay as a family of two adults and one child. The cottage was well equipped and the welcome goods on arrival were much appreciated. The parking was a little bit challenging as limited space but saying that we did always manage to get a space. The cottage was very well situated within the town and only a short walk from all it had to offer. It was also well located for exploring the wider area. Overall a very pleasant week.
The cottage looked lovely from the outside, but overflowing bins right outside door put us off. This wasn't just the previous visitors' rubbish, it looked like it had accumulated over a longer period. Inside the cottage was clean with anti-bacterial soap left for our use and spray for the worktops. Unfortunately the freezer had not been checked as one of the drawers was not clean.
On a positive note this house was comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. The house is close to Conwy and surf snowdonia. The carton of milk and loaf of bread left by the housekeep was thoughtful especially as the local shop opens on a part time basis was was closed when we arrived at 16:00hrs.nearby villages within driving distance have pubs serving decent food. Unfortunately there were many negatives about this property including: 1. No front door key provided. Which means that in the event of a fire escape from upstairs rooms probably doesn't comply with fire regulations for m...more
Needs modernising , very tired, too much personal stuff about .Conservatory leaked in a few places when we had heavy rainfall. Location great , perfect for the beach and restaurants. The garden was really nice with a path leading to the beach.
