We enjoyed our holiday in Douglas’s Barn. A nice location. We stayed there quite a number of years ago, when it was different owners. We felt it could do with a bit of an updating regarding decor & furnishings especially as it is a 5 star gold luxury self catering. In that respect we were a little disappointed , having stayed in a number of 5 star self catering cottages, which were of much higher standard.
We stayed at Tom's Barn for a week over Christmas with our two dogs (our second visit) The barn is very comfortable and spacious, it has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need, including condiments and tea/coffee etc. The barn is warm and cosy, the fire is a welcoming sight. We slept well, the beds are very comfortable. It's very quiet and peaceful, with only the sound of hooting owls outside. Absolute bliss .
