The property is the best I’ve rented and I’m aged eighty ,so I’ve been in a lot.Welcome pack covered everyone including the dogs .Pool was lovely and warm and well used by the big kids and little kids Only one thing to moan about and that was the location of cutlery,not the lack of it ,but which of the drawers and cupboards was the required item The cottage was superb and we all enjoyed the pool,games room and accommodation. Thank you for a most enjoyable holiday The cost charged for the dogs was a bit over the top .
The location and facilities are best in class. Coupled with The Lodge Hotel being so close was excellent. Everything is within walking distance. Don’t hesitate to book!
A minor point why have the front gates been left in such a state. It there in your face every time you pass them - Even a coat of paint would help in curb appeal
From the moment you approach the property you know you are staying somewhere special. The history of the building makes staying at The Old Lighthouse amazing. We were a family of 8. There was plenty of room and it was great that everyone had their own bathroom. Living area spacious with plenty of seating both outside and in. Loads of crockery, cutlery etc. Property was very clean throughout. Children had fun exploring the dungeon and the tower. Steps very steep so only under supervision. Very close to beach and an ice cream parlour and cafe right next door. Easy walk to Old Hunstant...more
We have stayed in many of the cottages belonging to The Lodge, including this one on several occasions. We were, as always really impressed with the cleanliness, the quality of the furnishings, (which includes new lounge furniture since we were last here) the kitchen equipment and the towels and bedding. Everything is superb. We also loved the new toiletries and the fact that they were full sized dispensers which meant they didn’t run out. The welcome hamper was lovely too. This was a very pleasant stay and very comfortable. The facilities were very good. We did mention that the door to the games room would not close and lock whilst this did not cause us a problem we were concerned about the security for you. All in all a nice place. We have booked the Albatross for March next year, please don’t sell it in the mean time.
Wonderful stay for all the family. So much space. 5 mins walk from the beach. We would definitely return and stay at Hippisley. Thank you.
A great stay in a very comfortable, spacious cottage. Ideal for a multi- generational family and dogs. Provided with a lovely welcome hamper , excellent toiletries and fluffy towels. A couple of minor issues were dealt with promptly - very helpful staff. Great location for everything the North Norfolk coast has to offer.
