Wildernest is a haven set in the coastal hills above the delightful Aeron Valley. It is a place to opt out, relax and be yourself. A former spiritual retreat, Blaengors farm, is now being managed as an exemplar of sustainability
Thoroughly enjoyed our mini break in The Stoep at Wildernest. We wanted somewhere out of the way, to recharge our batteries, that was quiet and in the countryside, and Wildernest fit the bill. Our hosts were there if we needed them and The Stoep was fully equipped for a comfortable stay for two. We will most definitely look to return.
Our second visit to Wilderness as it's the perfect place to escape, switch off and relax - we stayed in Ty Twt this time, and enjoyed the extra space compared to our previous visit in the Airstream. The accommodation is comfortable and equipped with everything that you'd need. Lots of great places to visit for day trips close by, but also somewhere you can hide away in for the day. Perfect!
We were lucky enough to spend a few days at this delightful farm.
The weather was on the wet side but it hasn't spoiled our time at all, only made our walks feel quite adventurous. There are plenty of walks around Caredigion including the celebrated Welsh Coast route. The bit between New Quay and Llangrannog was particularly scenic.
The place feels remote and peaceful, with birds tweeting in the thick bushery and meadows to stroll around. The Crawfords very helpfully put together a map of their vast grounds.
Our cottage was really lovely. Jude & Hugh clearly put some heart and thou...more
I was looking for a few days away to relax and regenerate and this beautiful, peaceful place provided all that was needed. The weather helped too with the beginning of autumn and few sunny days and barely any rain! Hugh and Jude were fantastic hosts.
The airstream was cosy, compact, had everything you needed and (apart from the noise of the fridge) was in my opinion, perfect.
