Five properties set amongst 633 acres of farmland with stunning views to the Lammermuir Hills. Each property has its own outside hot tub, all have ensuite bathrooms.. The Lodge sleeps 2, The Ramsay sleeps 4, The Lamont and The Buchanan both sleep 6 and the Capercaillie sleeps 10. All properties are within walking distance of each other. Many couples enjoy plenty of space so there is a special price for just 2 people in the larger properties. There are lots of walks, treasure trail, puzzle trail, jogging route, woods to explore on the doorstep. The area is renowned for walking, cycling, golf, and fishing. Edinburgh is a half hour away as is the Coast. The Scottish Borders itself has a lot to offer the visitor as well.
Airhouses is the perfect place to unwind. It is one of Scotland's undiscovered gems with a quiet beauty which changes with the Seasons.
We absolutely loved our stay at airhouses and we will definitely be returning.
We stopped in the Hawthorn pod and it was the nicest pod we’ve ever stopped in - and we’ve stopped in a lot. It was super clean, in an amazing location and the facilities were incredible.
We arrived the night Storm Arwen hit, and despite the local village losing power, water and some of the the farm buildings being damaged, the owners and staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They made sure we had access to everything we needed and quite frankly if we could rate higher than 5* we would!! ...more
Having had to postpone our family Christmas gathering by a year, we were delighted to find that the property was more spacious than expected (we originally booked this with COVID precautions in mind) Carol has been so helpful with our booking and the information given really helped me plan the holiday for our 3 family groups spanning 3 generations. For this trip, the notes on local food suppliers was invaluable - we enjoyed quality products from Shaws and Purple Plum which I could preorder. Before the holiday, I was given a link to an online welcome pack which was full of useful information fr...more
This was our 2nd week long stay at Airhouses, firstly summertime in The Lamont and now this time we enjoyed bringing in the New Year in the comfort of The Ramsay. We were greeted once again by Damian who took us through some of the improvements which have taken place since our last visit, including a new Worcester Bosch boiler . Stepping over the threshold, we were once more impressed by the cleanliness of the property and also the welcome hamper full of goodies. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to cook all our meals and to prep the fruit & veg for our daily trips to feed the two donkeys ...more
Another fantastic stay at Airhouses, this is a great retreat with everything you need and extremely welcoming team. Having stayed in nearly all the accommodations, we are never disappointed. When the weather is good there are lovely walks to do and when the weather is more challenging there are lovely walks and a hot tub waiting to take the chill off and chill out. Feeding the animals is great fun and they are always happy to see you if you have some apples and carrots. 100% recommend this for a break from busy lives to spend time together and enjoy the countryside. Thanks again - see you ...more
Had a wonderful relaxing last minute weekend at the Buchanan lodge, highly recommend.
Lodge was gorgeous, in beautiful surroundings and was well kitted out with everything you could need.
The owners have really tried to think of everything, they provide a lovely welcome pack and there is also an onsite shop should you need some essentials (gluten free options available too which was lovely to see).
Exactly what we needed and we would definitely come back again.
Loved our 3 night stay in The Rowan Pod. It's in a beautiful setting, surrounded by hills, trees, & fields. Spent an hour in the hot tub each evening, bbq our dinner & breakfast in the bbq hut. The pod is quite spacious, with the (comfy)bed & bedding folded away, then to have seating & a table to sit at, was great. We had a really small fridge, but there was a larger one in another small hut, so plenty of storage for food & drinks. Shower & toilet area looks small, but shower was great, did not feel cramped at all. Some nice walks around the farm, with lots of petting animals, mostly rescue. ...more
