Five properties set amongst 633 acres of farmland with stunning views to the Lammermuir Hills. Each property has its own outside hot tub, all have ensuite bathrooms.. The Lodge sleeps 2, The Ramsay sleeps 4, The Lamont and The Buchanan both sleep 6 and the Capercaillie sleeps 10. All properties are within walking distance of each other. Many couples enjoy plenty of space so there is a special price for just 2 people in the larger properties. There are lots of walks, treasure trail, puzzle trail, jogging route, woods to explore on the doorstep. The area is renowned for walking, cycling, golf, and fishing. Edinburgh is a half hour away as is the Coast. The Scottish Borders itself has a lot to offer the visitor as well.
Airhouses is the perfect place to unwind. It is one of Scotland's undiscovered gems with a quiet beauty which changes with the Seasons.
Exceeded expectation, great location as a retreat but also only easy to use as a base when wanting to visit Edinburgh and other surrounding attractions. Beautiful farm.
Had a superb time at lodge with family. Very well equipped, super clean and cosy lodge. Enjoyed feeding the animals and walking around farm.
Damien was so accommodating, and went above & beyond to help us when the snow came. Thank you for making our week so enjoyable-we will be back soon.
Our family have stayed at the Capercaillie a few times and it's always amazing! The house is fabulous and has everything you need and the kids love seeing the animals every day! Looking forward to the next time!
We loved our stay over Christmas, lovely welcome and the surprise gifts were so nice, we loved feeding the animals as well. We also liked the little cafe on site. The lodge and hot tub were perfect and the views were amazing. We ordered quite abit of the local produced to be there when we arrived (support the local economy) which was really convenient however we were a little disappointed with a couple of the items, but this did not ruin any of our stay at the lodge. I would say it is a little on the expensive side but we were lucky as we got a discount for our stay, however we throughly enjoy...more
Lovely and clean, everything you need only positive feedback would be an air fresher, a clock and hand soap at the kitchen sink.
Lovely grounds, we didn’t manage to book a taxi to go for a meal and the price was quite high as we were rural (we stayed for an occasion so wanted to have a nice cooked meal) quite costly but a lovely getaway.
Airhouses is set in the most spectacular countryside. This was our fifth visit but we were still able to find a new walk from the door of The Lodge ( to the start of "Walk with Cuthbert the shepherd", pilgrim trail). Other more familiar walks were as lovely as ever.
The hot tub, even with flurries of snow, was great fun. The Lodge is a perfect size for two and is very well appointed. We would strongly recommend this as a holiday destination.
Such a wonderful holiday for my birthday. Everything about the Rowan Pod was incredible - the hot tub was such a treat and we spent evenings in the BBQ hut which was so cosy. The farm is beautiful and it was such a bonus that our little dog could come too - she had the time of her life. We will definitely be back.
