Exceeded expectation, great location as a retreat but also only easy to use as a base when wanting to visit Edinburgh and other surrounding attractions. Beautiful farm.
We loved our time at the Lamont. It's a great size but still has a cosy feel. There was great communication with the owners throughout and everything was beautifully clean for our arrival. We loved feeding the animals and having a wander with a coffee from the cafe. The hot tub is fabulous and we all agreed its one of the biggest and well kept ones we have been in. It's my second time and I'll be back!
The property was spacious and comfortable with all the equipment necessary for any eventuality. The wooden floors were excellent for a dog friendly property as was the stair gate at the top. The location was exceptional and the amenities on the farm were great. We didn’t use the cafe but the shop and being able to feed the animals were an added bonus. The barbecue hut and hot tub were great fun. Friendly, helpful owners, great communication. Highly recommend.

We stayed in The Buchanan last week. I had been looking for a last minute hot tub place and we stretched the budget to book the Buchanan. I'm so glad we did. It was fabulous. Huge fluffy towels, super comfy beds, loads of room, a wonderful welcome pack and a massive hot tub. All surrounded by the most gorgeous countryside and the cutest animals on the farm. Everyone we spoke to was absolutely lovely and I honestly can't recommend enough. Wonderful location and setting. The pod had everything you could need wrapped up in a neat little package. Had a wonderful weekend stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone considering it.
