What a wonderful time my family and I had at Capercaillie. The house was even more impressive than the photos on the website. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and two lovely seating areas. And a delicious welcome basket catering for my gluten-free husband. The grandchildren (2, 5 and 8) loved the safe, enclosed garden with its barbecue hut. But the high spot was the 'meet and greet' the heritage animals and chicks. They also loved the play shed.
This is our second stay at the The Lamont @ Airhouses (first was back in 2021) and we enjoyed this stay just as much as the first. The Lamont is clean, cosy and very comfortable, the view is stunning and location is so very peaceful. The walks around the farm and hillsides are great and of course all nice seeing all the animals too. Great that all rooms are ensuite and the wi-fi was great too (very important for the teenagers) :o)
Lodge was excellent, clean comfortable with great views across the countryside. This was the third visit and not disappointed. Hot tub was marvellous, and there was plenty of wildlife and animals to view. Close to melrose, Kelso, Edinburgh for days out. Thanks to Damian and everyone involved with airhouses ,keep up the good work.
This is my second stay at the Buchanan and this time I brought my son and daughter in law for a 3 night break and their dog Otis. What an amazing place. The lodge was immaculate throughout and of a very high standard. The hot tub was an added bonus especially since it was the warmest weekend of the year!! On arrival a bag of goodies was waiting for us in the kitchen. This included tea ,coffee, jam, shortbread and a delicious iced loaf. What a start to a great weekend!! We had a trip to the lovely town of Melrose and also visited the beautiful beach at Bamburgh which is certainly worth a visit....more
Just leaving now after a wonderful stay at The Lodge in Airhouses. We stayed here once before about 9 years ago and everything is just as good, I'm so glad we returned for another stay. The accomodation itself is top class, lovely cosy lodge with everything you need to enjoy a self catering holiday. Every cooking utensil you could hope for, bath towels and leisure towels, lovely shampoo/shower gel etc. Even got a smart TV with Netflix available and some board games. The property was clean and tidy and we had a welcome pack. There is a shop on site for necessities. We were on a farm so viewed the sheep, horses, goats, pigs and llamas. The hot tub was great for relaxing in. Cooking was in a covered fire pit.
