We had a lovely 3 night winter break at Mazzard Farm. We stayed in Bramley Cottage with our 2 girls (almost 2 & 4yrs old). Although it’s only 1 bedroom it was very spacious and the girls loved it. It had a good shower & bath, comfy beds and well kitted out kitchen. The toy room in the courtyard full of bikes & cars was welcome entertainment and the settling was very peaceful. It was a bonus to find a wonderful restaurant in walking distance down the lane too. With easy access to the south Devon beaches it was the perfect place for 3 night escape from Bristol. This was a short return visit after a previous stay as we had business to attend to in the area. As before, we found Pippin Cottage warm and comfortable and Ruud and Jacqueline the owners were extremely attentive and happily answered any queries we had.
Fantastic accommodation in a wonderful setting, exactly as shown on the website. Hosts very welcoming and friendly.....the warm scones a real added bonus. Highly recommend for anyone looking to base themselves in this beautiful part of the country. Will definitely be looking to return before the next bout of serious tar barrel carnage.........if you've never seen it, get it on the bucket list.
We had a 3-day stay at Mazzard Farm in December, and found it very convenient but quiet. The bonus was the EV charger which was charged at a very reasonable rate. The cottage was spacious with the usual mod cons. We would highly recommend - it's the perfect location for a quiet getaway.
Great communication from the owner with regards to the issues with water during the drought and he was very helpful when it came to using the EV Charging point. The setting was lovely and so peaceful. Beautiful countryside and the properties were immaculate. The children were able to play on the many areas in the garden where there were toys, swings and tents and had a lovely time. Thank you Ruud and Jaq for being so friendly!!!
Came for a second time with friends for a quiet weekend writing (have also stayed in a family group on other occasions ) Beautiful peaceful place with eco ethos . Accommodation warm, clean and comfortable. Loved hearing owl hoots at night. Recently opened field kitchen a short walk away serves great lunches. Jack and Ruud were as always the best of hosts.
MAZZARD FARM is off the beaten track and super rural. Charming setting with rustic feel. Not super modern or super clean and no major creature comforts but that didn't bother us that much. They are great at thinking of everything you might need for your stay, although some mini bin liners for nappy changing would have been useful. We were asked to strip our beds, which I personally didn't fancy doing on my holiday but is suspect this is for covid reasons.
