Vale Farm Cottages are traditional barns that have been converted into cosy cottages combining character with modern living. Nestled deep in the heart of Wales within the picturesque Hamlet of Lower Chapel, these beautiful cottages are surrounded by scenery that could not fail to impress.
Situated on the Edge of the Brecon Beacons amongst beautiful countryside on a traditional working farm which is close to Brecon, Builth Wells, Hay on Wye, Crickhowell and Abergavenny. Located on a traditional working farm with cows and sheep. We also have a small play area for children with swings and a slide, plus a large grassed area for playing ball games.
Vale Farm Cottages cater from 4- 11 guests, they all feature original oak beams in all the rooms and have spacious living rooms with French doors opening onto views of Pan-y-Van and the Black mountains in a farm court yard setting, ideal for al fresco dining or a barbeque. A great location to meet up with family and friends, large enough to cater for groups and business trips and with the optionally of having The Coppice function room.
We had a great weekend in the vale farm house. There was 10 of us ranging from 70years old - 9years old. The house is a fantastic space with great views and all of us had a great time using the Facilities especially the hot tub. We wish we had booked longer and will definitely be back. Great information in the welcome pack, we enjoyed one of the recommended walks.
Firstly Brecon is a very nice small town with nice shops and nearby walks. The cottage is aprox 15 min drive and lovely Builth Wells less than 30 mins. Your host Danielle is a phone call away should you need her. Cottage is comfy and warm. (We were in Hornbeam) The kitchen is good with ample cooking equip. We ate in for all our evening meals. We had 2 sofas in lounge and 2 very comfy beds. Good bathroom and shower with plenty of hot water. We would have ate on the balcony but it was a rainy week! Lovely views and possible to do walks from the cottage. The icing on the cake though is the warm...more
We had booked out all the available accommodation apart from the farm house for a family gathering to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday. We enjoyed the facilities including the pool, hot tubs, games and playpark - there was something for everyone. The views were amazing and the host welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the celebration.
We had a beautiful stay at Vale Farm cottages , the cottage was lovely and perfectly clean . Danielle is super friendly and helpful! The views on the farm are absolutely stunning , the perfect location for a Brecon Beacons adventure and lots of photography!
We had all the cottages and found the fact that we could gather together in the courtyard, use the function room and enjoy the pool and jacuzzi made Vale Farm Cottages the perfect family venue.
Our hosts were friendly and helpful.
We loved the location and enjoyed a week
of varied activities in a beautiful setting.
I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Thank you Danielle, I will be back sometime in the future.

Lovely location with great views and very welcoming and helpful hosts. Many of the fittings and fixtures in Walnut cottage were rather worn, e.g. the main bed was very squeaky, the mattress is lumpy and uncomfortable, I had to repair the fridge shelf with duct tape, windows didn't open and there were a lot of tall weeds in the garden and planters which doesn't create a good impression. I think the owners plan to revamp the cottage soon. One of the other cottages, Wild Cherry, had a very loose balcony railing which wasn't secure.
We enjoyed our break at Wild Cherry cottage. Comfortable and clean. Daniellle was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to help with a large group.
