The apartment is very well equipped, spacious and surprisingly warm, considering the high ceilings and spaciousness. We understand that the apartment sleeps six (with two bed spaces on the ground floor sofa pull-out bed). However, as there were only two of us, we found the cost for one week rather expensive. Maybe that's the price you pay for an unusual location! The kitchen is very well equipped and we had everything we needed for home cooking on the days we stayed in. It seemed strange to come out of the front door and see tourists wandering around - not an issue except that some of the...more
Comfortable and spacious apartment, tucked away in the countryside. Very well equipped, so cooking was no problem. We had a great stay. Staff were super friendly. Staying at a heritage property feels special. The locations are unusual and you feel as though you’ve experienced a different aspect of Jersey, away from the standard holiday hotel. You do need a car to get around because of the tucked away location.
Excellent and comfortable stay everything we needed . It was so interesting to find out all about the history of the tower. Excellent stay would go again.
What a unique location. Lovely to spend time there with friends to catch up and enjoy an amazing building. Very well done. Thank you for this opportunity!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful location The only thing we would suggest is not to use chemical cleaning products. It set off an allergy with one of us
A remarkable place to stay, almost an isolated, cliff-top cottage, but central to the main urban centre of Jersey and the nerve centre of its network of busses. The cottage was comfortable and we appreciated the basic provisions waiting for us on arrival. We were also lucky enough to have three warm, sunny mornings to enjoy breakfast sitting in the garden gazing at the sea view. Just two small reservations about the cottage. We would have preferred the bedside tables to be larger than they are. And, we found the tin opener quite inadequate for the purpose. Preferring not to mimic JK Jerome's...more
This is a gorgeous location, at the end of a narrow track. No problem getting our car to it, but glad we didn't meet oncoming vehicles! Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, good sitting areas - 2 indoor and at least 2 outdoors! Given the type of property (an historic fort), this was very well converted and had nice touches such nice paintings and photos on eth walls of local area. Staff were very helpful. Lovely walking along coastal path, including nearby hamlet and port with beach cafe that serves food all day and every evening! Definitely recommended - and also, suggest you join as m...more
Had a great stay at the radio tower. We had everything we needed to make our weekend a success. The views are amazing and we were lucky to see a beautiful sunset.
The family had a wonderful and unique stay at The Stables which is within the Hamptonne Country Life museum. The staff were really friendly and the flat was a great home from home. We helped feed the chickens, sheep and pigs every morning. Ideal for anybody with a love of animals and don’t mind a rooster as an alarm clock. We would definitely stay here again.
Another great stay at La Rocco tower. We were lucky with the weather. Sunset views from the top of the tower were stunning and clear skies for start gazing in the evening. Seeing quite a few shooting stars. Kayaking there and back was kept interesting with a little swell and a few waves on the beach. A top mini adventure.
We stayed in Barge Aground over a very windy weekend and it felt cosy as we hunkered down after a brazing walk. It is well equipped with enough utensils for six people and plenty of dvds and games. At this time of year we did feel that the end of the lounge by the kitchen would have benefitted from extra light whilst we were at the table. It was another fantastic adventure in a Jersey Heritage Let.
We were very fortunate to have blue skies for our one night stay to the tower. Our guide Peter was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. There is nothing to fault about a stay Seymour. Being in nature and enjoying great company.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Fort. Quiet and peaceful, off the beaten track but quick and easy to get to. There are 2 smaller rooms to sleep in. Loved the big dining hall with a large fire place.
Basic accommodation but good fun. Beautiful sunsets and lovely beaches around the Tower. Lovely walks. Enjoyed our stay.
