Stayed here for the weekend for my daughter’s 16th birthday with friends. The accommodation is stunning and so much space. Parking is a real bonus too as we had other family pop in for birthday wishes. All the staff were so kind and helpful. I will defo be staying again super soon x thanks you
Our winter stay at Elizabeth Castle was fantastic! Having the entire castle to ourselves made the experience unforgettable. We loved exploring the private beach, bunkers and taking long walks across the grounds while the children played on the grass. It was incredibly peaceful and the apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Chris, caretaker, was exceptionally kind and attentive. When we ran out of milk, he offered us some without hesitation and he even gave us a lift back to the shore during windy, rainy weather because he knew the children would struggle. His thoughtfuln...more
I highly recommend Archirondel Tower: cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped. It is a quirky design on 3 floors (plus access to the roof for stunning views), which has been beautifully and sensitivlely renovated to give a luxurious feel whilst maintaining the history of the structure. I loved the door that opens from the bedroom giving you a view of the beach from your bed! Perfect for enjoying your morning cuppa. There is a balcony too if you are lucky enough to have some sunshine during your stay. We were only there for 2 nights, but came away feeling refreshed and relaxed. It’s...more
What a fantastic place to spend and share with family. So much to do and explore. The facilities are great.
We stay in Kempt tower once a year and love it everytime. The beds are comfortable, lots of towels provided. Always warm even without putting the fire on. The only negative is the couch, if 12 people stay than about 4-5 will need to sit on dining room table chairs and not comfy chairs, the couch only seats about 5/6 and there is one other chair.
A spontaneous few days away . What a beautiful quaint little cottage with the benefit of being right by the sea . A lovely short walk to a few fabulous restaurants which cater for all tastes . Highly recommend if you want to get away and take a step back in time . The glass tiles above were an added touch to show the roof in all its glory .
The best part of the fort is the views to either side of both bays. I would recommend it as a very good place to stay.
We were very happy with our week-long stay in January despite the bad weather! The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need for a very pleasant stay. Located in a charming agricultural museum, we were surrounded by rabbits, hens, and roosters, which made for a very bucolic experience. It was very well heated, and we didn't suffer from the cold at all, despite the wetess. One small thing, however: we arrived in heavy rain at night (6 pm) with no lighting in the parking lot or on the street. Luckily, we were able to call the assistance service, and a very kind woman came to guide...more
We had a fantastic experience in this very scenic and historical setting. Comprehensive instructions were sent well ahead of our stay so we knew what to expect. On arrival, we parked directly outside and on accessing the tower, we found it to be very clean and tidy as well as being comprehensively equipped, with plenty of cutlery, crockery, glasses and some essential provisions provided. Having a fridge in both the kitchen (on the the 5th floor) and in the lounge (on the 6th floor) was a nice touch and eliminated the need to traipse up and the down the spiral staircase for that mandatory apéri...more
Another great stay at La Rocco tower. We were lucky with the weather. Sunset views from the top of the tower were stunning and clear skies for start gazing in the evening. Seeing quite a few shooting stars. Kayaking there and back was kept interesting with a little swell and a few waves on the beach. A top mini adventure.
We stayed here 16 years ago and had to return to this wonderful place. Most of it was just the same but it was a shame to see the antique furniture had gone as this really added to the space. We wanted to mention that sleeping in the main room was difficult due to the green emergency light which was very bright. We had to use the bunks instead which were comfortable. It it such a wonderfully unique location and we are looking forward to a return visit soon. Thank you.
We were very fortunate to have blue skies for our one night stay to the tower. Our guide Peter was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. There is nothing to fault about a stay Seymour. Being in nature and enjoying great company.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Fort. Quiet and peaceful, off the beaten track but quick and easy to get to. There are 2 smaller rooms to sleep in. Loved the big dining hall with a large fire place.
Basic accommodation but good fun. Beautiful sunsets and lovely beaches around the Tower. Lovely walks. Enjoyed our stay.
