We had a wonderful 48hrs away from everything and everyone. Bathing with the sounds of birds singing and watching the squirrels was a treat. The bluebells below were also beautiful..just go !
Loved staying here! Amazing view of the sheep. Great facilities in the lodge. Maps are provided for local walks and only a short car ride away from the town. Restaurant Six is a must!!
We spent a lovely week in Ramadan. The countryside location is so quiet and idyllic and the Barrow Barns are cosy and clean. Definite Recommend
We have stayed at the barns a few times now - we have dogs so it's great to find somewhere to stay where dogs are not a problem. They are only 10 mins from the centre of Petersfield so convenient for all the supermarkets and other shops.
We had a lovely relaxing stay at Barrow Hill Barns (Pump Meadow property) over the Easter break. House is beautiful, modern, very comfortable and clean. Every room has its own en-suite and they are very spacious. Kitchen/dining area/living room, are all spacious and well equipped. Also has a laundry room if required. We had our small dog with us and there is an enclosed garden which was perfect. Outdoor furniture allowed us to relax outside also and enjoy the sunshine and lovely views. Having sold our house and failed to find a replacement, we hit upon Barrow Hill Barns by good fortune. We have now been here for five months and stayed in Orchard, Pump Meadow, Long Meadow and Farlass. They are all beautifully built and avoid overlooking each other, very well equipped with everything - from cutlery to towels to bedding - of the highest standard and modern. They are located within easy reach of Petersfield and all its facilities. Rob is a wonderful host. We cannot recommend these highly enough.
The location is splendid, with rural walks in several directions. We love the file of suggested walks, plus pubs, in the house. Redgates is beautifully designed and appointed, and makes for a really comfortable stay. Plenty of cushions and pillows, bedlinen is crisp, coffee capsules and dishwasher tablets are provided, and everything works. It is fabulously peaceful. We come every year, and fit as much walking and birdwatching in as we can. We have stayed numerous times at the barns because they are a lovely, relaxing and comfortable place to be. Wildlife and lovely views on your doorstep. There is so much to do around, just one example is the number of gardens to visit all unique and different even after just a week. It's not just gardens, there are historic houses, great walks, the coast & beaches, cities to visit, so much for everyone. The Barns are spacious, comfortable, well equipped and private.. So much to like and enjoy.
Barrow Hill Barns was recommended by a friend and we really enjoyed our stay there - in both Long Meadow and The Hide. The property is tucked away on a country lane and each cottage faces a different direction, which makes it feel very private. The view from Long Meadow is exactly that and can be enjoyed outside on the patio or inside from the living/dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barrow Barns. Holstocks was well equipped and beautiful throughout. A lovely big bed and en-suite. The garden was secure and absolutely perfect for our dogs. The warm water dog wash was also much appreciated! There are plenty of beautiful walk making it a perfect location. We would definitely visit again.
We spent two nights at The Hide after two nights at Long Meadow, a cottage on the same property. Although smaller, The Hide was perfect for a cosy couples retreat, with a log fire and outside tub with amazing views across the South Downs and night sky. The property was clean and the mezzanine bed very comfortable. The skylight was a lovely touch to watch the stars and gently wake up to natural sunlight in the morning. We would definitely recommend Barrow Hill Barns and look forward to visiting again.
