Everything was great apart from the sofa which was not the most comfortable to relax in the evening.
I was looking for somewhere for my siblings and I to stay to celebrate my mums 90th. This meant we needed somewhere with a ground floor bedroom / bathroom. In addition, we also needed somewhere i could bring my dog and have room for her crate overnight without it constantly being in the way. We ended up booking 2 * 2 bedroom properties as that gave us the most flexibility. The properties were clean, spacious, modern and the little extras like tin foil, decent coffee etc made it even more comfortable. We had an amazing stay in Boxsteddle (2 bed) All the little touches - coffee machine, dishwasher/ washing machine along with what you need to use them is an amazing touch and makes for a restful stay. Bedding and towels are also a touch of luxury, this tired Mum really appreciated all of the above! Location is quiet and has beautiful surroundings with lots to do within easy reach. Our dog also had the best time!! Definitely be returning!
Stylish, comfortable, well designed and well stocked. I really appreciated the real glass flutes, not many places included those and enjoying a glass of fizz with the view was wonderful. I loved the wooden interior, it was too cold for the outdoor bath but we will definitely come back for that in the summer.

This was our 3rd stay at Barrow Hill Barns & it did not disappoint - we will be back. The setting is stunning and the surrounding area/countryside beautiful with fabulous walks and hostelries. The well-appointed and spacious yet cosy "barns" are a delight to return to after a day in the winter rain and cold, and the beds so very comfortable with lovely linen it is difficult not to stay at home all day. Perfect staycation for the two of us & 2 dogs. Great location for walks, whether you wanted to stay on site or go further afield. Peaceful given the rural location. EV charge point to ensure we were never left without electric for the vehicle. Half an hour drive from most places we wished to visit which wasn’t unreasonable. 1hr-1.5hr for further afield such as Bournemouth / Poole. Would recommend, will definitely be back with more family to stay in the other properties.
Very comfortable warm cottage. Parking next to the door. Stunning view of the countryside. Quiet at night for a good sleep. Great walking area.
We stayed at Long Meadow over Christmas with our daughter and our dog. It is a first accommodation we stayed in which despite us having dogs, it was so lovely decorated and clean. Other places we stayed in previously, would give you wipeable sofas only, no pillows or blankets. The accommodation is big, very warm and comfortable. The kitchen has so much equipment in it, never seen that in other stays we done either. It overlooks fields and is sooo quiet which is just what we wanted. Lovely, quiet and picturesque location. Accommodation is great with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The folder located inside had some fab suggestions for pubs, restaurants and walks. All in all, a great stay!
