We stayed at Shoreline for a team stay away and were lucky enough to let two neighbouring properties including this one. The views are out of this world and best appreciated in person. Fittings and furnishings are to the highest standards and the detail comes with Sonos speakers / Aesop products, fluffy robes and a lovely welcome pack of local goodies! There is a short walk to find lots of restaurants and cafes and even a crazy golf which our team had lots of fun at. We also hired bikes to take jaunts along the flat promenade to neighbouring Sandgate and Hythe. Such fun and a brilliant l...more
Perfect. This wonderful sea view property provided everything we needed and was an excellent location for our short stay to visit family. From the moment we walk into the property it provided a lovely ambience of comfort which was spotlessly clean. Bedroom bedding was first class and the bathrooms and towels were of an excellent standard. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been longer! We hope to return.
The property and gardens are beautiful and from the moment we arrived, we started to relax. Thank you to the owner for being so helpful and we would definitely stay again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a little gem of a place - beautiful setting and so peaceful, great staff, amazing food and when you think it can’t get any better you step inside your cabin and wow, the attention to detail and the high standard of finish, on top of the cleanliness. Can’t wait to return Thank you all
This was our second stay here - we love this house. Early June and the wild flowers were in full bloom, making the already wonderful views just stunning. We found ourselves staring out of the huge windows for hours, watching the wildlife and the constantly changing colours of the landscape. The house is so beautifully designed it is a real joy to be able to stay here. The welcome hamper was a very thoughtful touch. Thank you so much, we will be returning.
We have just spent a long weekend at this fabulous house. The views and location to the beach are spectacular. The house is perfect and every room is beautifully decorated and well thought out. The kitchen was better equipped than my own. We will definitely be returning!!
We booked the Shoreline Beach House in Folkestone for a quiet weekend away from the City and were not disappointed. The house was incredibly beautiful and pictures cannot do justice for the stunning views at every level of the house. Amenities were modern and every piece of kit needed for the kitchen and for a wonderful few days out at the beach were provided. The rooftop terrace was also a real treat, allowing for perfect outdoor dining chasing the last of the summer sun. The site management team were also incredibly welcoming and helpful and prompt to reply when needed. We especially appreci...more
We loved our stay at The Bull Pen - beautifully appointed accommodation in a tranquil setting but convenient enough to explore the local area. We booked the property as we had a family celebration to attend nearby but would love to return for longer to be able to explore the area more fully. Highly recommended!
Beautifully presented historic building, rural location, personal touches. Made me feel very special!
A delightful flat right across from the beach, a short walk into Sandgate for shops and restaurants, nice decor, good facilities and plenty of room for 4
We spent a week in Oct 2024 at the vine cottage un Patrixbourne. 1st we chose the location, close to visiting relatives. Also very convenient for the trips we made - Canterbury, Whitstable, Broadstairs, St. Margaret's. The Vine Cottage was well maintained and also very well equipped. It was very cosy and homely. Especially the beds are a dream. All was very clean and tidy in particular when considering that this is a dog-friendly stay. We did not see any traces inside or outside in the garden. One or two glasses and cutlery were not perfectly clean, but this might have been an oversight and...more
It's a great family place with a great setup. Perfect for a get together, barbecues, beach walks ... and a pub 5 mins away!
The house was so light and airy, fabulous quirky décor, sociable open plan kitchen living area. Super views right across Margate sea pool, beach & harbour. Location excellent right on the Prom (direct access w gate key) only short walk to everything in Margate town centre. Being on private road it was very quiet, literally lie in bed & all you can hear are the waves. We were lucky with a very hot week, so glass doors at the back open all the time on to lovely patio garden with hot tub. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay at Bedgebury Oast, the house was wonderful and in a very secluded and pretty location. The house had everything you could need and we really appreciated the little basket of goodies left for our arrival. A wonderful well kept house that has been maintained exceptionally well. Bloom Stays were excellent in making sure we were taken care of and accommodating our requests. Would not hesitate to book again
What a beautiful place! The barn has been renovated to the highest standards and every detail has been thought of. Extremely comfortable sofas and beds, plenty of crockery and cooking appliances and of course the location meant it is very peaceful. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a base to explore the lovely surrounding areas.
We had a fantastic stay at Bushes Oast. It’s a beautifully located and high end decorated house. With a view to long greens were we saw several deers passing by it was a delight to stay there. The cottage is really close to Hever Castle and Pennhurst Castle and a ten minute drive to Sevenoaks, so by train not far from London. My family enjoyed every minute of it! A hidden gem!
Very comfortable cottage in dramatic Dungeness. The heating was on when we arrived which made for a cozy start to the evening. Comfortable bedding and lovely thick towels. We enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at this property for a weekend as a part of our corporate retreat. Both the property and the location are absolutely stunning, and the photos do not do it justice. There are so many things and activities to do and so much space for large groups. We are planning to book the same property again for our next trip!
Plumcot Halt is a really well designed, cosy house, making the most of the space. Comfortable bed, very well equipped kitchen and lovely, top quality soft furnishings. Spotlessly clean. We were made very welcome, as was our dog. There is plenty of information about walks, places to go, restaurants etc. We had a lovely, relaxing, peaceful stay and hope to return.
We had a really great stay at The Hayloft, unbelievable value for money! The views were great and we had such a peaceful time away. The house has a nice layout with the living space upstairs, making the most of the views. The property is also in easy reach of some great days out in Kent. We are very picky with where we stay and we would highly recommend The Hayloft!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dunes. The house and garden have been converted with real attention to detail that sets it apart from many other properties in Camber. It was very comfortable and had absolutely everything we as a family of 6 needed over our Christmas holiday. The open-plan space is great if you are looking to spend family time together.
We had a lovely stay at Perry Farm. The garden was absolutely spectacular, and the kitchen and outdoor area functioned wonderfully. The only reason I reduced the comfort score to a 4 was because we were lucky enough to get a very hot weekend and all of the bedrooms were naturally quite warm as a result (even with windows open). We were not able to find any fans, though perhaps they are available. Regardless, it was a fabulous stay, and I would highly recommend Perry Farm, as I think the weather was quite an anomaly for the season.
The Oast and cottages were just lovely. Quant, cute and typical English feel to them. The communication from start to finish was amazing. The housekeeper, was particularly easy to communicate with and was very helpful and friendly. Would definitley recommend and will be looking to book another one of Blooms properties.
The apartment is situated on the beautiful grounds of the owner with a lovely view over the environment. The livingroom is spacious with enough room for sitting, eating and cooking. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable and clean. So is the bathroom. We enjoyed the little terrace very much. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The village Sandhurst has a nice village shop for basic needs. Villages like Tenderden within 15 min drive have all other facilities. Sandhurst was ideally located for visiting the beautiful manors and parks/gardens like Sissinghurst and Great Di...more
Our entry in the guestbook: “We only arrived yesterday, but we can already say WE WILL REMEMBER THIS ONE! I slept like a child with the breeze in my face, and the meal at the Providence Inne was just delicious! Later : our week flew by, just like that and we loved it! Even our dog relaxed and enjoyed the great views. Thanks for the service and information - what a lovely house you have. “ The G. Family, Germany, August 24.
Top two floors of a very comfortable and charmingly decorated cliff-side Victorian villa. Spacious with excellent views, easily walkable to/from Folkestone and a friendly host. As you are toward the top of a cliff face, there are a fair few steps involved so not for the mobility impaired. But the climb is definitely worth the view.
My Jacapoo and I thoroughly enjoyed our few days @ The Nest. If you asked me to describe my perfect cottage, The Nest is it. So cute, cosy and what a setting! The perfect beach for walking, swimming and throwing a ball. I only live in Hythe, but The Nest was a special treat for my Birthday. So, a big thank you for sharing your lovely cottage.
We stayed at the Coachhouse for a weekend away to celebrate my daughter’s 21st with close friends and family. The house was perfect for what we needed and we all had such a lovely weekend. We would have loved to explore the grounds more but the weather wasn’t great but we loved the garden area with the hot tub! Brian and Sara were great hosts and immediately dealt with a small issue we had when we arrived. Would recommend The Coach House for a lovely break away and we will definitely be coming back.
A beautiful property renovated to a high standard set in beautiful grounds with distant countryside views. We were made welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a pit stop for a couple of nights before heading home via Le Shuttle (10 min drive away). Lovely local pub close by for a great meal & Folkestone harbour arm provided a wonderful summer’s evening of entertainment.
What a wonderful stay at Farriers Cottage. It somehow looked even better than the photos, super clean and super spacious. Woudl highly recommend.
Oyster Shore was a great property to stay in. Nice and bright and airy with a great little garden and patio area for those sunny afternoons and evenings. It was really comfortable and had absolutely everything you needed - we only missed maybe an airer for indoor drying (beach towels and beach wear) and an indoor broom (Its a large kitchen floor with a dustpan and a brush!). Fabulous location, just off the high street, and a handy supermarket at the end of the road which is open until 11pm, for any shopping needs. You could walk through one of the many alleyways off the high street, giving...more
My family loved this stay at The Old Schoolroom. A beautiful house, very comfortable and well equipped with lots of charm and character.
We have stayed in Sandgate before and really like it . This was a last minute booking and bloom were excellent in providing details of the stay and entry arrangements . There was also a little something in the fridge which was much appreciated !! The house is wonderful great position over the sea and we used the terrace a lot ! Really enjoyed the house and the perfect sea views from the master bedroom and shower . We would stay again as so perfect for walking into Folkestone or Hythe and trying out various restaurants . Would recommend thank you !
As you arrive down this hidden a way sandy track of a road, rolling along on sandy waves to the most perfect destination. This is the best bit of Camber if like us you want to avoid hilly climbs up sand dunes. It is a flat walk to the beach and takes but a minute. Lark Rise is a tardis of a building, you walk into a huge open plan kitchen, dining, living room. You feel as if you have been transported to Montauk. The peaceful garden has a perfect “end of garden” cabin, a little ( actually not so little ! ) self contained studio. A hot tub bubbling away ready to invite you in. It has eve...more
I stayed at Pebble Fish with my husband & 4 kids (20, 16, 14 & 11) and we all loved it. Thank you to Jane for a great stay. She was readily available on the phone and by message for queries and help. The hot tub was fab, and my teens were blown away by the games room. We enjoyed the bbq too. We’ve stayed in many cottages over the years, all over the country, and this was by far our favourite.
Channel View is a lovely place to stay. Lee & Sonia were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. The place is a credit to them both. They have put so much work into this amazing place. The views are spectacular. We will definitely be coming back to visit again.
Wow, what a stunning view! And the house was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. We hired for a 50th celebration and had a private chef to cook for us which was amazing. The English coast path is accessible from the house and you can walk straight into Folkestone. Communication with Bloom Stay was easy and they were always on hand to answer questions. All in all, a fabulous weekend
We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived, and the positive atmosphere remained in this wonderful apartment until the last moment. It is centrally located in Whitstable, the perfect size for 2 people (not too small and not too big), well equipped with the essentials that you don't want to carry around on holiday, especially for the kitchen... Very clean, everything in the apartment in good condition. We were a little worried about the parking situation (on the street) – maybe we were lucky, but we found a parking space every day in the immediate vicinity of the apartment (last week of ...more
Rented the Roost as we were going to a wedding at Goodnestone Park which is only 10minutes away by car so ideal if you are attending a function there. The Roost was really well equipped with a lovely welcoming host. Welcome provisions were provided which was a really nice touch. We were blessed with hot sunny weather so the lovely courtyard garden was put to good use. Would highly recommend this property
I love this place. This was my second visit and as before it did not disappoint. Everything I needed. Clean. Host is super! Sitting in the swing chair every morning with my Tea was one of my favourite things to do. Excellent location right on the beach. I cannot fault this place!
Fab stay and would highly recommend. Has everything you need for a perfect stay. Hot tub a good addition
We arrived by taxi from Ashford Intl station after a speedy hop from London, no trouble at all to reach this tranquil destination. With an entire app of information sent earlier we were fully prepared and so excited to see everything this beautiful place had to offer. The Hut is so thoughtfully accommodated that we wanted for nothing at all - we were greeted by local treats and enjoyed beautifully scented, luxurious showers straight into fluffy bathrobes (jet lag was no match!) A sunset walk among the sheep (and a sweet visit from the littlest lamb!) brought us fully back to life after a long ...more
This was a last minute booking for my partners birthday and It was everything I expected and more. It was located on a beautiful farm with sheep and chickens. The host provided everything you could've thought of, and we LOVED that it most of it was local produce. We will definitely be booking to stay again, couldn't recommend it more.
As a family we booked all 3 huts had a great time fresh air, big skies and amazing weather. Can’t wait to do it again , fire pits wine juice and fun
The Hayloft is an ideal place for travelling to the towns and attractions of east Kent or for simply relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. It has wonderful facilities,.like the jacuzzi, and is furnished throughout to a high standard. The master bedroom was extremely comfortable, but as my wife pointed out, it was missing a dressing table and mirror, which, considering the properties high standard, we would have expected. Making hair dressing difficult. The views from the open plan kitchen and sitting room upper floor are exceptional. But, because of the velux glazing, the house bec...more
Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side during our stay but it made it all the more atmospheric and cosy inside the Shepherds hut. We had all the amenities we needed and loved the thoughtful touches of tea, coffee, milk, bread and jam and more which as left for us. Our son loved being surrounded by sheep and chickens and absolutely loved the bunk bed! Christina was an amazing host, offering suggestions for dinner locally and treated our son to helping with feeding Larry the lamb in the morning. Thanks so much!
Excellent stay, our group spans 3 generations so the large lounge and seating areas were fabulous. John's handover was good with lots of information to assist us with our stay. We had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed a marvellous stay at The Willows. A veritable oasis of calm that felt private and remote, but just a short distance from surrounding towns. The property was well-equipped, high-spec, and we wanted for nothing. The hot tub was great, and an indulgence in the height of summer! Most welcoming and hospitable hosts. We'd love to stay again, and would highly recommend without reservation.
Beautiful house! 10 minutes away from a lovely seaside town! Couldn't have asked for a better place to hold a hen weekend.
Lower Standen Farm is one of the most fantastic houses we have ever stayed in. It is perfect for large groups and has absolutely everything you would need including an incredibly well equipped kitchen. The garden is also gorgeous and the pool was so lovely too! We have already recommended the house to everyone and want to rebook for a winter weekend ourselves so that we can make use of the inside space as well!
My family and I stayed at the lovely Old Post Office for two nights to celebrate my 30th Birthday and had a wonderful time. With close proximity to Canterbury for the restaurants, a brilliant HotTub, stunning garden and beautiful design throughout the property, it was super spacious and perfect for our stay. The tiny details of this property really add to the superb quality - the finishing touches are immaculate. This is a very beautiful house and we had an amazing time - the host was super prompt with any questions I had and really went out of his way to make it a wonderful stay. Our ...more
Some of the toilets could do with locks! Table tennis was an added bonus! very enjoyable stay - would come again!
We loved this cottage and want to return at some stage. Very well located right next to bus routes and the station so you don't need a car to explore the local area. Little touches such as night lights give it that extra bits of thoughtfulness.
I always research where we might go on holiday and having seen a press article in a renovation publication I knew what to expect when booking West Cottage.at Dungeness. The property enjoys sea views from the lounge and master bedroom, and from the kitchen the old lighthouse and the entrance door across to the new lighthouse. The owners has created a calm home with quality furnishings, comfortable bedrooms and in an amazing location. We took advantage of our immediate location, the garden, the beach, the Fish Shack, Prospect Cottage and a walk to the now decommissioned power station. We had ...more
We had a lovely stay at the pheasants cottage in Kent! The house was very clean and cosily! We also were able to bring our dog so that was a big plus! The owner was very nice and approachable. We defenately recommend staying here for a holiday!
We all absolutely loved this barn - from start to finish the booking process, organising key collection and return was super easy and friendly. We had our ten year anniversary party here with friends and family, we loved the tennis and swimming and the hot tub being exclusive was an added bonus! There are so many utilities included we only needed to bring food and drink! The only other thing we needed to get way foil and kitchen roll but dishwasher tabs, tea and coffee all provided which we loved. We would come back in a heartbeat.
Spent four days with children and grandchild in this wonderful house with stunning view. Would love to live there!
We had a wonderful stay at this well-equipped apartment. The location is perfect, just a short walk to both the beach and the Highstreet. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, making the entire experience even better. Highly recommend!
I stayed for my hen weekend and the whole group said how amazing the stay was! The whole house and grounds were finished to an excellent standard, it really had everything we needed. We were so lucky with the weather and we’re able to make full use of the facilities. We also did not realise how beautiful the location was and we all enjoyed going for walks outside the property - the views were breathtaking! We would recommend this to anyone. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful in every way possible. Thank you for making my hen weekend an unforgettable stay!
What can I say.. The house that gives, perfect spot on the front and both the kids and the adults had a superb weekend. Bloom Stays were a delight to book with. We will be back :-)
A great cottage but the furniture was not easy to get out of (too low) and "normal" channels could not be accessed on the tv - no signal. Information guide had no info about local events or eateries. Otherwise it was a great cottage and we would return if we wanted to see more of Kent
We loved the place and the location. We were really comfortable, the area felt safe, and the location was great - we walked to Whitstable just about every day. Only a few comments: I think it was mainly clean, but the fridge needed to be cleaned out and sanitized again. It had a sour odor, and we had to wipe it out. I wish there had been some restaurant recommendations in the actual house notebook/guide. I don't remember seeing anything but catering in the email you sent with recommendations. But a restaurant guide with days places are open would be great. Since we were three early...more
We had a fantastic time in Dormestone House, our only wish was that we had longer there. From the beginning the customer service was excellent with all my queries being answered promptly and great suggestions & contacts provided for activities I was interested in booking. (We booked a private chef for the evening and also beauty pamper treatments for the Saturday morning through recommendations which were wonderful) The house is truly stunning, the interior decor extremely tasteful, warm and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment for cooking. The pool and tennis co...more
This is a lovely house right next to Westgate Gardens, so a stroll across the road and through the gate in the wall and you're by the river for a gentle stroll into town or a run by the river. The house was immaculate, the garden a delight to sit in of an evening. The only slight down side was too low down sofas and too high up tv, so not great for anyone with a bad back or neck, but other than that it was very comfortable. The house was also ideally situated to get to other destinations - highly recommend Whitstable, Wildwood and Wingham Nature Park and Canterbury high street only a fiv...more
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The host is kind and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed; he also had excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. The oasthouse itself is a tasteful, comfortable conversion, which is cosy and delightful but keeps enough of the original fabric and equipment to be fascinating. Part of the building is a recently-built extension, but this is in perfect keeping with the original building. Moreover, it is superbly appointed, with plenty of everything you need for a comfortable stay. The surrounding village is utterly charming. We would...more
Celebrating an early Thanksgiving, we wanted a house where our friends could come together, hang out, eat well and make the best of the Kent countryside. At Lower Standen Farmhouse we were all to do and enjoy all of these things. The house has been beautifully restored with the prize going to the wonderful kitchen/dining room. Surrounded by glass overlooking the lush garden, the views and colours are an ever-changing joy with the underfloor heating meaning that we spent most of our time here. No lonely feelings for our chef ..... she probably had more help this year than ever before! Bedrooms ...more
Beadles is a beautiful property in Sandwich Bay, located at a nice quiet road, easy walking distance from the beach. The house feels historic with interesting elements to it. It felt spacious, accommodated comfortably 12 of us. The children loved the property, the garden, the playroom. It was a perfect house to host our extended family, get away together quality time.
Excellent cottage very conveniently situated in the heart of Kent. A short drive from the lovely village of Wye. Wye has lots of charm and great facilities including restaurants, pubs and a Co op. Also has a train station with regular services from London to Canterbury and the coast beyond. Great if you don't want to drive every day. Also lots of footpaths from Wye for great walks on the North Downs. Close to roads that made it easy to tour the county. The cottage itself is modern and well equipped; everything we needed for our stay. Altogether we had a fantastic holiday. The only slight ne...more
Being our first visit to England, I was a bit surprised just how old most accommodations were. It was very refreshing staying at The Loft because it was "new", up to date and clean. Enjoyed our stay very much.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The setting was perfect for a much needed break away from London. The accommodation has been very well thought out and there is everything you need. We look forward to returning one day soon!
We loved our stay, homely and comfortable, with amazing view of the sea and immediate access for those early morning and late evening swims. Couldn’t have been happier here for a quick weekend break.
Had a lovely short break at Radar. Accommodation is exactly as shown in the photographs and in an amazing location. Radar is beautifully designed and had everything we needed for our self-catering stay. A harvest moon reflected on the water and a pink sunset behind the power station - what more could you want?! Had such a good time, we've already booked to go back!
Good and quiet location. Good size. We enjoyed walking to Leeds Castle from LSO, and driving to Knole House, Chatham Historic Dockyard (we pre-booked the ‘Call the Midwife’ tour, and made some rope in the ropery), Down House (Charles Darwin), Canterbury Cathedral and St Augustine’s Abbey, Walmer Castle and gardens and Dover Castle (Double helix staircase, underground tunnels and super keep)
Great location, great dining area supported by fine kitchen facilities. Comfortable bedrooms. Everything as advertised. Thank you for our stay.
This was our second visit to Water's Edge as a family with ages from 2 to 76 plus Molly our dog. The house is amazing with large rooms and great communal areas. The kitchen and catering areas are superb and one evening we employed a chef who also was most impressed with the facilities. Great location for the beach and plenty of local restaurants in New Romney and further afield. No hesitation in recommending.
Honeywood Lodge is a pleasant hideaway with ame parking and walk paths. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and within reach of Canterbury High Street. The heated swimming pool was a must have bonus. Had a lovely time with my family. Will definitely do it again.
The house was in a fantastic location, with a clear uninterrupted view of the English Channel, sunrise and sunsets. The garden was lovely, and the interior comfortable and clean. We had some issues and have a few suggestions for future (as we would love to stay again). The downstairs wet room, could do with some handrails, and the shower seat should really be a fold down one fixed to the wall, as this would be much safer than the free standing stool (which my elderly parents did not trust to have a shower). The other big issue, is the bottom stair, this is quite dangerous because it is the sam...more
We had a great time here for my boyfriends birthday. The hot tub is lovely and the surrounding area beautiful with lots of amenities. Feels very private even though you're next to 3 other huts. I'd really recommend it and will be coming back to stay
Beautifully appointed and maintained. Can’t fault Wheelwright’s for a short stay. Communication very good. Definitely recommended. Handy for activities we had planned in Hastings and Tonbridge. Thank you!
Cart Lodge offered a lovely, comfortable welcome with beautiful views and plenty of good walks from the door to enjoy. Very well appointed, and great to have a good sized secure garden to relax in with our dogs on the very warm sunny days we were lucky enough to have for our visit.
We had a lovely stay and really appreciated all of the lovely touches. Beds were comfy and great facilities. Thank you
What an amazing place to have our honeymoon, truly the perfect environment to relax in! We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows in the fire, and walking down the the farms lake. + There were some wonderful touches added to the property, including a lovely welcome hamper, some local cheese, and a little pack for a dog! Beautiful toiletries were provided, and were now considering switching to that brand! - The property stated there was a microwave, which unfortunately there wasn’t, the socket on the right side of the bed didn’t work. The hot tub chemicals weren’t checked t...more
Our extended family of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) had a wonderful stay at the Canterbury Barn. The barn is beautifully decorated, with lots of space and stunning views of the Kent countryside. The children loved the hot tub and there was lots of room for them to play and run around. It was easy to get into Canterbury and the local areas. Thank you!
This was a delightful place to stay with real character and charm. If the weather hadn’t been so glorious I would have enjoyed playing the piano! It was great to be immersed in the unique landscape of Dungeness with fabulous views from the main bedroom. If I owned the property I would be living here all the time. Highly recommended. We will be returning next year!
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est exceptionnellement décorée et c’est un véritable coup de cœur.
We absolutely loved Oast Barn Cottage and our stay in Kent. A lovely cottage for us with our dog - big garden to run around in. Location was great for getting to places such as Faversham, Canterbury, Whitstable to name but a few! Helen our host was absolutely lovely, kind and helpful throughout or stay - nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was cosy and very comfortable and exactly what we wished for. We were both very sad to leave and hope to return soon to see lots of other things we weren’t able to see this time. Thank you again Helen for a lovely 2024 Summer break!
We really enjoyed our stay at The Kennels. The accommodation was very comfy, very clean. We loved the big garden and the surrounding. Was a home from home.
Lovely to be able to come and stay at Figgy again. Just noticed a slight deterioration all looking like it needs a decoration A big Freshen up needed. !! Painting etc. all looking.a little bit dull & grubby ! not quite clean enough for me. Didn’t get that feeling of clean. But I brought my own cleaning bits any way Still didn’t spoil my time with you. But I would be hesitant to rebook until TLC improvements have been made.
This weekend away was a long time coming and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to come. Dungeness is a beautiful, beautiful place. The sound of the sea and the shingle when you walk on it is so therapeutic. And then the house....it is utterly breathtaking! Everything has been thought through from a design side and a practical side. Everything we needed was there, even the things we didn't know we needed were there! The view blew me away everytime. I even woke early on our final day so I could just state out of the window! Sophie was absolutely lovely; helpful and available whe...more
Excellent accommodation in a fantastic setting. It suited us perfectly. Michael and team were excellent and very helpful whenever needed. Very helpful to have WhatsApp as a means of contacting Bloom Holidays.
We had a great time at this cottage, just what we wanted, a house in a very quite location but near the city of Canterbury with everything there, the house is very comfortable, loads of couches, a brand new kitchen, and the Hot tub was perfect we all set in in the morning and in the evening, we would love to come back soon.
Accomodation was very nice, looking like an ancient postcard. Only recommendation: Don´t be afraid of noise from busy mice in the walls.
Our expectations, based on the listing was that this is a large country house – this it is except that it is in a town. A nice place but unusual in many ways. 5 bedrooms, some equipped okay with wardrobes, bedside lights etc, others without. All wardrobes in the main bedroom were locked, a low coat-hanging frame was provided which wasn't much use. Drawers were full of the owners clothes, two drawers left empty for guests though one of these had a pair of men’s pants in them, we felt best not to use them. Upstairs there are many locked rooms, there's a "Gym" which is very much the owners p...more
Great cottage. Immaculate. Good area, quite a big walk to Hythe and the sea. Not good for anyone with walking limitations unless you are driving everywhere. Good walks out from the cottage, pub at end of the road. Parking easy, enjoyed our stay
We had a really enjoyable stay. The cottage is small but lovely - very comfortable and had everything we needed for a quiet week away from it all. The welcome pack of local cheese, apple juice etc was superb.
We stayed at Cavallo Barn from 25/02 to 17/03 We enjoyed the location, the quite and the kindness of the owners, always there to help. The apartment offered all the amenities advertised and all was in good working order. We would love to have the opportunity to go back one day. S & L Budroni
Absolutely loved staying at the pump station. I took my elderly mother and senior dog for a relaxing week and it exceeding all our expectations. The views, the snack shack right across the road with great fresh seafood, the peace and quiet.. everything was just lovely. We will certainly try and come again.
We had our 25th wedding anniversary getaway at Little Sunray Dungeness. The property was really great just as quirky as the photos implied but comfy and practical at the same time. So many seating areas to really make use of all the views. Very well equipped for cooking, baking, playing board games or watching films. Though we did none of these because it was all about the location for us: open the back door to the sound and smell of the sea. Next door to the Power Station which looks impressive by day or by night, The light house, the stream train, the nature reserve! Great for walks s...more
The property was lovely all the bedding was super comfy so sleeps were great. The garden space was lovely as was the hot tub especially having the regular checks with it. A couple of things I would say that didn't make it a 5 star for me; - The upstairs shower was not working, and the upstairs sink leaked water so left us with 1 bathroom instead of 2 - Noticed rats in the garden. I am not sure if this is normal being that there's lots of greenery but for someone not comfortable with rodents made me a little nervous spending time in the garden. - The pots and pans were not the cleanest. ...more
This past weekend we celebrated my sisters bridal shower and it was the perfect location for a nice relaxing girls getaway. The house is so nice and spacious, with views of never ending fields. We were able to go visit the horses next door and it was a short drive in to town. Overall, we all had an amazing time! The owner was very kind and helpful too.
House is in a lovely location and has a beautiful large garden. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen well equipped. We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather on Friday and Saturday so we're able to make use of the pool and outdoor games. Couple of things were looking a little tired, table tennis bats were 'flapping' and we got out a game having forgotten ours, and the 'bomb' was not working. We had a very enjoyable stay but didn't find this house quite as welcoming as the last one we stayed in. Also, felt a little chased out by the cleaners who arrived at 9.45 while we were loading...more
This is our 2nd time in fog signal building, it’s in a beautiful part of the world and we will definitely be back again next year. The property is in need of a little TLC in places, the decking by the French doors needs replacing, and a new sofa would be good. However these are minor issues, they don’t retract from the wonderful place and vibe truly magical place . Steve Mammone 26-09-24
The condition of the cottage (regarding maintenance, comfort and cleanliness) could do with some updating for instance: the deep freezer was full of ice at our arrival; all knives are quite blunt; the kitchen chairs are quite wobbling; the bathroom fan was out of order and maybe this is the reason that there is already mold in the bathroom; the garden bench and table are very heavy, no change from sun to shadow and vv possible. the changing of the bedlinen and towels (we had a 14 day stay) was not according to the information booklet in the cottage;
Had a fabulous weekend, the house was clean, big grounds, comfortable layout of the house. Only few minor details - no amenities in showers and only one hairdryer for the whole house
We had another relaxing stay at Bonnington Cottage - our second visit since Christmas! A lovely period cottage with mod cons. The property is easily accessed and situated in the beautiful Kent countryside with plenty of walks within a stones throw. The dogs loved it too! It won’t be long before we’re back there again.
nice apartment , if you like to sleep with the windows open.If you have small children, they may feel the wind coming from the windows. The windows in the apartment are classic wooden and we, who came from Central Europe, felt cool from the windows. Everything else is fine.
Excellent location for a family holiday and Canterbury and surroundings is a beautiful place to visit. The rooms and the dining and sitting room are spacious and comfortable, the place is quiet, there is a nice public garden just bellow . We just had problems with the hot water installation and couldn't use the bathrooms securely and comfortably. I suppose this can be mended and changed so that the place would be perfect. The attendent parking place is a much appreciated.
We really love the property - great location, good condition. There were a few items we would love the owners to address. There was only one easy chair in the kitchen (last time we stayed there were two) - it meant we weren't able to sit together drinking coffee looking out on the amazing view as we had last time and that was missed. The cushion on the sofa bench in the lounge is now pretty lumpy so it's not comfortable to sit on. It would be great to replace that. The lounge would also benefit from a second lounge chair - the other one is great and really comfortable. The bed ...more
