I stayed here for 2 nights for work. The holiday home is decorated beautifully, super comfy bed, lovely hot shower, and a well equipped kitchen. The place was absolutely immaculate and smelled like I was walking into a spa! I would highly recommend and will be back next year! I was given all the arrival information in advance and it was all easy to follow and led to a seamless check in/check out procedure - thankyou!
We had both the Challenger & the Goldings for a girls weekend it was fabulous we were in the hot tub and had a great cocktail evening. Great scenery and very relaxing.
The house was so light and airy, fabulous quirky décor, sociable open plan kitchen living area. Super views right across Margate sea pool, beach & harbour. Location excellent right on the Prom (direct access w gate key) only short walk to everything in Margate town centre. Being on private road it was very quiet, literally lie in bed & all you can hear are the waves. We were lucky with a very hot week, so glass doors at the back open all the time on to lovely patio garden with hot tub. Highly recommended.
Beautifully presented historic building, rural location, personal touches. Made me feel very special!
We spent a week in Oct 2024 at the vine cottage un Patrixbourne. 1st we chose the location, close to visiting relatives. Also very convenient for the trips we made - Canterbury, Whitstable, Broadstairs, St. Margaret's. The Vine Cottage was well maintained and also very well equipped. It was very cosy and homely. Especially the beds are a dream. All was very clean and tidy in particular when considering that this is a dog-friendly stay. We did not see any traces inside or outside in the garden. One or two glasses and cutlery were not perfectly clean, but this might have been an oversight and...more
The property and gardens are beautiful and from the moment we arrived, we started to relax. Thank you to the owner for being so helpful and we would definitely stay again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We booked the Shoreline Beach House in Folkestone for a quiet weekend away from the City and were not disappointed. The house was incredibly beautiful and pictures cannot do justice for the stunning views at every level of the house. Amenities were modern and every piece of kit needed for the kitchen and for a wonderful few days out at the beach were provided. The rooftop terrace was also a real treat, allowing for perfect outdoor dining chasing the last of the summer sun. The site management team were also incredibly welcoming and helpful and prompt to reply when needed. We especially appreci...more
The cottage is perfect to explore Kent with a family. The house is comfortable and well decorated. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. Really a top experience !
We had a lovely stay at Bedgebury Oast, the house was wonderful and in a very secluded and pretty location. The house had everything you could need and we really appreciated the little basket of goodies left for our arrival. A wonderful well kept house that has been maintained exceptionally well. Bloom Stays were excellent in making sure we were taken care of and accommodating our requests. Would not hesitate to book again
A fantastic stay for a family event. A lovely welcome pack Thankyou so much Access to the beach was such a pleasure
Perfect. This wonderful sea view property provided everything we needed and was an excellent location for our short stay to visit family. From the moment we walk into the property it provided a lovely ambience of comfort which was spotlessly clean. Bedroom bedding was first class and the bathrooms and towels were of an excellent standard. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been longer! We hope to return.
A delightful flat right across from the beach, a short walk into Sandgate for shops and restaurants, nice decor, good facilities and plenty of room for 4
We always love being on the beach, and this certainly ticked the box, with the front door opening onto the pebbles. And sitting on the first floor balcony looking at the beach and the sea, in a fluffy towelling robe, was magical.
Beautiful property, very comfortable, spacious home from home feeling. Lovely walks and plenty of places to visit locally. Will definitely return!
Wow, the Thatched Barn was beautiful and such a fanstastic restoration, everything you could wish for is provided and is of very high standard and quality. Quiet location for excellent relaxation but easy access to motorway if needed. Restaurant/pub recommendations for evening meals were excellent, but remember to book.
Super clean, very quiet, great location - easy walk into town centre, lovely hosts so helpful and friendly.
Had such a lovely time at East Cottage, the rooms are really lovely and it has a cosy feel with log burners. The bathroom is also lovely with a powerful shower. The only tiniest improvement would be some shower gel/shampoo/conditioner provision.
I would just like to say that the correspondence from start to finish was excellent. The property was just a WOW. Everything was just amazing and of excellent standards. The views from the property are wonderful. I thought there was no sharp knives and then I found the hidden drawer ( I should of known, as I have one myself). I had an excellent time and it was so convenient for my family to see me. I would most certainly stay here again and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the local historic sites, Hever, Penshurst, Leigh, Tonbridge also Tunbridge Wells. We stayed at this property for a weekend as a part of our corporate retreat. Both the property and the location are absolutely stunning, and the photos do not do it justice. There are so many things and activities to do and so much space for large groups. We are planning to book the same property again for our next trip!
The house was a lovely space for our yearly friend christmas trip away - spacious living room, big dining table and a fully equipped kitchen. The house was warm and the beds very comfortable!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dunes. The house and garden have been converted with real attention to detail that sets it apart from many other properties in Camber. It was very comfortable and had absolutely everything we as a family of 6 needed over our Christmas holiday. The open-plan space is great if you are looking to spend family time together.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wave Cottage. This cosy cottage was bright and welcoming, beautifully furnished and decorated with a seaside vibe. Located on the edge of the beach you are able to witness both sunrises and sunsets and all the skies in between. And all that sea! The bed was extremely comfortable with quality bed linen and the shower was fab. The kitchen is very well equipped, with dual views over the beach, and a cupboard full of items so you don't have to buy just for your stay. A very thoughtful extra! There were also several other thoughtful extras which enhanced our st...more
Our stay was just perfect in every way (yes!....lucky enough to have fabulous weather too!) Even more lovely than expected and so peaceful with stunning views from bedrooms and lounge/large lounge balcony. Beautifully designed with a fresh nautical theme but not over 'done'. Spacious, airy and beautifully positioned for Sandgate to Hythe one way and Folkestone the other
beautiful place. Had a great stay! It's a good location with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the countryside in the near vicinity
The Oast and cottages were just lovely. Quant, cute and typical English feel to them. The communication from start to finish was amazing. The housekeeper, was particularly easy to communicate with and was very helpful and friendly. Would definitley recommend and will be looking to book another one of Blooms properties.
Lovely cottage. Right on the seafront. Everything we needed. Weather was not great so we were in more than intended. But very comfy set up for just hanging with friends. We had a lovely weekend. My only concern were the floors were very slippy and would possible not recommend for anyone less able
Owner couldn’t do enough for you, everything you need whether you stay in or site see. Definitely recommend.
A beautiful property renovated to a high standard set in beautiful grounds with distant countryside views. We were made welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a pit stop for a couple of nights before heading home via Le Shuttle (10 min drive away). Lovely local pub close by for a great meal & Folkestone harbour arm provided a wonderful summer’s evening of entertainment.
What an amazing place to stay! The house is stunning and the views are incredible. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to cook up a large family meal. We loved the additional kitchenette on the first floor which meant we could make tea and warm baby bottles without needing to go downstairs. The master bedroom was the highlight for us and waking up to watch the sunrise over the horizon over the sea was a beautiful experience. The house was big enough to make sure that we all had space without being on top of each other, but could also spend lots of quality family t...more
Absolutely phenomenal! Sonia and Lee were absolutely amazing, so accommodating and attentive. The property was extremely clean, spacious and cozy! Little details like having an Alexa in each room was fun. The hot tub was fab and the views from the terrace was even better! Loved it ! Thank you x
Just go you won’t be disappointed… hot tub great beer & the kind of food to have with a beer. The wife loved the hot tub I think it’s the bubbles a jets get her a bit excitable. Lucky for me Will definitely return soon.
My family loved this stay at The Old Schoolroom. A beautiful house, very comfortable and well equipped with lots of charm and character.
As you arrive down this hidden a way sandy track of a road, rolling along on sandy waves to the most perfect destination. This is the best bit of Camber if like us you want to avoid hilly climbs up sand dunes. It is a flat walk to the beach and takes but a minute. Lark Rise is a tardis of a building, you walk into a huge open plan kitchen, dining, living room. You feel as if you have been transported to Montauk. The peaceful garden has a perfect “end of garden” cabin, a little ( actually not so little ! ) self contained studio. A hot tub bubbling away ready to invite you in. It has eve...more
I stayed at Pebble Fish with my husband & 4 kids (20, 16, 14 & 11) and we all loved it. Thank you to Jane for a great stay. She was readily available on the phone and by message for queries and help. The hot tub was fab, and my teens were blown away by the games room. We enjoyed the bbq too. We’ve stayed in many cottages over the years, all over the country, and this was by far our favourite.
Wow, what a stunning view! And the house was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. We hired for a 50th celebration and had a private chef to cook for us which was amazing. The English coast path is accessible from the house and you can walk straight into Folkestone. Communication with Bloom Stay was easy and they were always on hand to answer questions. All in all, a fabulous weekend
Stunning property in a lovely rural location. Convenient for Canterbury. Host was helpful. Will definitely use again.
I can not rate this place enough, beautiful , simple and clean,jo - our host was helpful friendly and now was too much. pebbles was nicely decorated and had everything you would want for a short stay, tbh id live in it given the chance ! the views are great, our particular stay was met with a big storm and the sea was crashing , we sat in our room for hours chatting memorised by the sea and watch the world go by. a short walk was folkstone in one direction with much to offer and sandgate the other direction. giving this lovely place even more appeal. We cannot wait to return....more
We stayed for 5 nights in Channel view, and felt very much at home. Golden sunrises and sunsets, the views were amazing. Every photo is post card worthy! The house is very well equipped and so convenient for cooking. The gifts made us feel very welcome, the linen was crisp and comfy, luckily we had gen Z kids with us who can work with Alexa ;) We hope to return!
Rented the Roost as we were going to a wedding at Goodnestone Park which is only 10minutes away by car so ideal if you are attending a function there. The Roost was really well equipped with a lovely welcoming host. Welcome provisions were provided which was a really nice touch. We were blessed with hot sunny weather so the lovely courtyard garden was put to good use. Would highly recommend this property
We had a really wonderful stay in the huts which had been beautifully decorated for Christmas. We'd love to go back!
We stayed at The Hayloft over a very sunny February weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The house is beautiful and well equipped with everything you need, warm and cosy even without the log burner. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after some very long walks from the bottom of the garden. The countryside is lovely to explore and it means you can explore & leave the car in the drive, which is great. Its well placed for visiting Canterbury, Ashford, Designer outlets and the South coast and some good local pubs with good food. Bloomstays were easy to deal with and there was lot...more
a peaceful countryside escape, this luxury shepherd’s hut is an absolute gem. Tucked away, the hut itself is beautifully crafted — think wood-burning stove, plush bedding, and a dreamy little kitchenette. Every detail feels thoughtfully designed, from the soft romney wool blankets to the the surprisingly spacious living space. But the real magic? The lambs. Waking up to the gentle bleating of lambs just outside the window was pure joy. With it being lambing season, we were lucky enough to bottle feed abandoned lambs. My daughter and I had the most relaxing peaceful stay in the beautifully decorated Rumwolds hut. We were lucky enough to enjoy lamb cuddles on arrival before walking across the field to our home for the night. We spent the whole afternoon until dusk just sitting outside on the picnic bench drinking tea, chatting, sheep-watching, admiring the view & listening to the birds ! After dark we lit the log burner and kept it on low to see us through the chilly night, with lambs huddled against the fencing while their mums grazed nearby. The breakfast hamper produce was wonderful & after getting up e...more
What an amazing stay very cosy and welcoming, everything you need is provided. I stayed for one night with my fiancé but could have been there for longer it feels so like home, the bbq/fire makes this place even more special to be outdoors, lenny the sheep is very friendly but the only one who likes any kind of attention the other sheep keep their distance, the chickens joined us in the morning what an unforgettable Experience we will be returning 100% , we also checked out the Christmas market recommended from the owner and it was great for something to do the following day with lots of ...more
We had an amazing time at Old Harrow Barn, celebrating an 80th birthday. The house was beautifully decorated and everything within the house appeared to be excellent quality. The games room and cinema room were real highlights but the open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen was also perfect for our group. There was something for everyone to enjoy whether it was the Spa, the comfy & spacious bedrooms or the chickens! The booking process was easy and communication from Bloom was great throughout. We certainly plan on returning!
Just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay at The Willows. There was everything we needed and more to make our stay perfect. The location of the house is amazing, great walks nearby and views. The owner even left various wines/chocolates/crisps for our stay. The communication from the moment of booking to check out was excellent. Will definitely be booking with Bloom again! Thank you xx
We stayed at this house between Christmas and New Year 2024/5 and had a wonderful stay. The house is very well equipped for a family and the location is brilliant. Thank you for hosting us - we hope to be back!
Lovely stay at nest cottage Perfect location for dramatic windy seafront walks Would've liked a bit of a later checkout time
Excellent stay, our group spans 3 generations so the large lounge and seating areas were fabulous. John's handover was good with lots of information to assist us with our stay. We had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend.
What an amazing venue for a special occasion. The service and responsiveness of Lindsay and the Bloomstays Team was excellent. The house was beautifully furnished and the kitchen a fabulous space for a special gathering. The surrounding countryside provided us with wonderful views and walks. The local Woodcock Inn is also a great find for some delicious food and wonderful hospitality
We stayed here with family for my husbands 40th birthday. The house was fabulous and the pictures on Bloom Stays did not do it justice! It was beautifully decorated and was clean and spacious and everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Worth noting the stairs are a little rickety for anyone with mobility issues. The lounge was big and cosy with the gas fire on and we spent most of our time here enjoying quality time with family. Would recommend the Red Lion for dinner which was a 5 minute drive up the road.
We loved this cottage and want to return at some stage. Very well located right next to bus routes and the station so you don't need a car to explore the local area. Little touches such as night lights give it that extra bits of thoughtfulness.
We had a lovely stay at the Little Beach house in Whitstable. Beautiful property with everything you could possibly need. Brilliant location and super straight forward booking and arrival / departure system. We will be back to stay again for sure.
We loved our stay in West Cottage. The location was perfect and the cottage itself was beautiful - warm, cosy and had everything we needed. The only thing to note, as other reviewers have said, the sofa is VERY uncomfortable. It gave me a bad back and I had to sit on a dining room chair instead. I would highly recommend the owner replace it! Other than that our stay was perfect!
We stayed here for the second time and absolutely loved it again. The apartment is small but perfect for a couple – cozy, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. What we appreciate most is the location: just a 2-minute walk to the sea and less than a kilometre from the High Street – close enough to everything, yet wonderfully peaceful. What makes this place truly special is the kindness and thoughtfulness of the owner. Each time, she has welcomed us with fresh flowers, milk, snacks, and even a bottle of wine – such a lovely touch that makes you feel right at home. We highly recommend ...more
We had a lovely stay at the pheasants cottage in Kent! The house was very clean and cosily! We also were able to bring our dog so that was a big plus! The owner was very nice and approachable. We defenately recommend staying here for a holiday!
Really cosy cottage Great location - near Whitstable, Canterbury .& Faversham Very comfortable lounge with log burner , great large chair with poof & large sofa
From the moment of arriving we all felt at home and relaxed at The Beach House in Sandgate. The sea has a calming effect and can be enjoyed from living areas and front bedrooms. We loved the two minutes away on foot choice of delis / cafes, micro pubs and host of new restaurants. The promenade is peaceful in the week and lightly bustling at the weekends - it’s fun to watch the joggers pass by and even the rowers at sea and the occasional jet ski! Our active friends enjoyed the seafront 5km run to neighbouring Hythe one way and shorter run to Folkestone the other. My husband and I used...more
We all absolutely loved this barn - from start to finish the booking process, organising key collection and return was super easy and friendly. We had our ten year anniversary party here with friends and family, we loved the tennis and swimming and the hot tub being exclusive was an added bonus! There are so many utilities included we only needed to bring food and drink! The only other thing we needed to get way foil and kitchen roll but dishwasher tabs, tea and coffee all provided which we loved. We would come back in a heartbeat.
Superlatives a plenty. Just a great place to chill. Relax and spend a few days with good company. So much space for all to enjoy. Very helpful to us as always is site manager John. Our third year. Looking forward to our fourth. We danced, acted and sang every day. Even performed play. Fun fun fun in comfort.
Ten of us stayed at Regency Beach house and all of us were blown away by how stunning the house is. It’s spacious, comfortable, full of interesting pictures, sculptures and bits and bobs, and has a lovely walled patio garden. The view from the grand lounge, with the French doors open is wonderful and relaxing. There’s a lovely dining room and a cool cinema room. (We had couples in double beds and one of them was smallish, but there were six useable bedrooms so we managed).
Great accommodation in a lovely spot - or third visit!! We're planning on another stay next summer. You can't keep us away!
This cottage was in a quiet location set in beautiful countryside. It was very clean, very comfortable and perfect for couples. The kitchen was well equipped, but would benefit from replacing the large, family-sized fridge/freezer with a smaller fridge/freezer and utilising the extra space created with a dishwasher. The television is partially obscured by the couch, which could be raised up by mounting on a wall bracket. The cottage would be fully dog-friendly if the small patio garden could be fenced, which would allow the patio doors to be open without fear of the dogs disappearing. The ...more
What a stunning place! From the very beginning, everything was just perfect—clear instructions, a spotlessly clean cottage, a fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need and even more, comfy beds, and amazing views all around. There even was a gift for a doggie :) I can't recommend it enough!
We had a brilliant family reunion celebrating 70th birthdays. The amazing house and superb location helped to make it a very special occasion.
We had a wonderful stay in this house, perfectly located just a 5-minute walk from Canterbury city centre, through the beautiful Westgate Gardens. Parking was very easy, and finding the keys on arrival was simple thanks to the small lockbox. The house was spotless and truly felt like a peaceful haven. The only area for improvement would be to replace the sofas, which are quite low and not very comfortable, as well as the beds. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect. The customer service was also excellent, with helpful messages sent after our arrival and before our departure, ...more
It was a pleasure to book a home, for our special occasion, through Bloom Stays. The process was easy and emails kept me updated on payments and details. Any questions I asked were responded to quickly. Waters Edge is a stunning home with everything you need and more. There were 10 adults, two teens, an 8 year old, 3 dogs and it was the perfect surprise for my husband’s 60th. We used every space for different activities, including the pizza oven and BBQ. It was lovely to have a table big enough for us all to sit around together. Opening the gate to the beach was pure heaven as were t...more
Great communication before arrival and during our stay. Nice welcome basket. All cooking equipment you need. Really modern and good quality decor and furniture. Beautiful views across the countryside. Wonderful hot tub. Would like to have stayed longer. Easy access to local places to visit. Would definitely recommend.
Beadles is a beautiful property in Sandwich Bay, located at a nice quiet road, easy walking distance from the beach. The house feels historic with interesting elements to it. It felt spacious, accommodated comfortably 12 of us. The children loved the property, the garden, the playroom. It was a perfect house to host our extended family, get away together quality time.
Celebrating an early Thanksgiving, we wanted a house where our friends could come together, hang out, eat well and make the best of the Kent countryside. At Lower Standen Farmhouse we were all to do and enjoy all of these things. The house has been beautifully restored with the prize going to the wonderful kitchen/dining room. Surrounded by glass overlooking the lush garden, the views and colours are an ever-changing joy with the underfloor heating meaning that we spent most of our time here. No lonely feelings for our chef ..... she probably had more help this year than ever before! Bedrooms ...more
I hired The Oast for my 60th birthday celebrations. The venue is fantastic for hosting a party. I managed to hire a jacuzzi, which made the week even more special. Alan the owner is a very good host and will do what he can to make your stay a enjoyable as possible.
The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable. Discretely decorated throughout in a seascape theme. Complimentary Prosecco, chocolates and biscuits very much appreciated.
Being our first visit to England, I was a bit surprised just how old most accommodations were. It was very refreshing staying at The Loft because it was "new", up to date and clean. Enjoyed our stay very much.
We had a fantastic stay at Radar, the location and the quality of the space is faultless and so special. It gets a little bit busy on the boardwalk next to the stay during the weekends but this didn’t disrupt our privacy or the peacefulness of the space. Our only feedback is that there was no coffee but lots of accessories to make coffee with, so make sure to take your own if you’re a coffee drinker - there is also no toiletries provided other than hand soap which we did know from reading other reviews but worth noting as usually provided. Overall a wonderful stay and an incomparable location.
We had a very nice stay at Wheelwrights Cottage. It was very cozy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped. We immediately felt at home on arrival and extended our stay for a few more nights. The cottage was decorated for Christmas and there was even a Christmas tree. Our worries that it wouldn't be as cozy at Christmas as home were unfounded. Everything was great. From the beds to the warmth in the house, all the equipment and the parking lot in front of the door. We would book it again at any time. Thank you very much.
It is a lovely property, superbly located. A couple of issues We would not book in the summer because of the 8 O'clock curfew. BBQ too small for 17 guests and feels like you are stopping people having a BBQ. It's a pity because the garden is also very nice.
The property is rurally located off a lane, yet close to Canterbury for quick access to sites and amenities. Coming from London, we appreciated being able to see the stars. The owner's property is next door, but we didn't see anyone for the weekend we stayed, so we felt we had the place to ourselves! It was a real treat to access the pool directly from the property without having to go outside and use it whenever we wanted. The pool temp was better than expected given energy costs these days! Facilities like the pool, showers, WCs, bathrooms, were all modern, well-maintained and spotlessly ...more
Very stylish property but sometimes a case of form over function - cooker required a YouTube tutorial and lights and heating weren't straight forward.
We had a great time here for my boyfriends birthday. The hot tub is lovely and the surrounding area beautiful with lots of amenities. Feels very private even though you're next to 3 other huts. I'd really recommend it and will be coming back to stay
Oast Barn Cottage was the perfect location to get away from it all. Small but perfectly formed, the cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing break and the owner even provided some essential to help us settle in right away. It was a perfect base to explore the surrounding area, or just sit and relax in the garden enjoying the birdsong!
We had a lovely stay and really appreciated all of the lovely touches. Beds were comfy and great facilities. Thank you
Our extended family of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) had a wonderful stay at the Canterbury Barn. The barn is beautifully decorated, with lots of space and stunning views of the Kent countryside. The children loved the hot tub and there was lots of room for them to play and run around. It was easy to get into Canterbury and the local areas. Thank you!
Lovely on all counts! Great location and full of character. Many thanks! That all I have to say!’mary Wormell
Everything from start to finish was excellent. The team at Bloom Stays have always been first class. The cottage is idyllic in it’s location and has everything provided for a perfect stay.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est exceptionnellement décorée et c’est un véritable coup de cœur.
Great house in a great setting. Plenty of space and lots to do around. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful when we got there.
We had a wonderful time in the Kennels, the house is beautiful and well equipped, even better than the photo’s online
Lovely to be able to come and stay at Figgy again. Just noticed a slight deterioration all looking like it needs a decoration A big Freshen up needed. !! Painting etc. all looking.a little bit dull & grubby ! not quite clean enough for me. Didn’t get that feeling of clean. But I brought my own cleaning bits any way Still didn’t spoil my time with you. But I would be hesitant to rebook until TLC improvements have been made.
El Ray House in Dungeness is truly a hidden gem. Set right on the beach, the views are absolutely stunning — endless sea and sky stretching out in front of you, with only a few fishermen in sight to break the perfect sense of peace and quiet. It’s the kind of place where you feel a million miles from everything, yet you’re just a short stroll (two minutes!) from a couple of charming pubs. The house itself is as unique as its location — beautifully designed and full of character. It’s clear a lot of thought has gone into making it both stylish and comfortable. There are three terraces to cho...more
We know Dungeness well, and were very happy with the location. Its a lovely, characterful cottage, as expected. Beds comfy. However there were a few things that really let it down. The owners hadn't turned on the heating prior to our arrival (they thought they had, but hadn't; we think they had done so remotely, but all the heaters were off manually at the wall?). It took best part of a day to heat up so was pretty chilly. (We only heat our own place to 17 degrees, so we don't expect loads of heat). The lack of quite a few curtains, and inner doors, was a shame. We did feel a little expo...more
We had a great time at this cottage, just what we wanted, a house in a very quite location but near the city of Canterbury with everything there, the house is very comfortable, loads of couches, a brand new kitchen, and the Hot tub was perfect we all set in in the morning and in the evening, we would love to come back soon.
Great cottage. Immaculate. Good area, quite a big walk to Hythe and the sea. Not good for anyone with walking limitations unless you are driving everywhere. Good walks out from the cottage, pub at end of the road. Parking easy, enjoyed our stay
We had a really enjoyable stay. The cottage is small but lovely - very comfortable and had everything we needed for a quiet week away from it all. The welcome pack of local cheese, apple juice etc was superb.
We stayed at Cavallo Barn from 25/02 to 17/03 We enjoyed the location, the quite and the kindness of the owners, always there to help. The apartment offered all the amenities advertised and all was in good working order. We would love to have the opportunity to go back one day. S & L Budroni
Amazing property in an amazing location within Dungeness Reserve. Great sightlines through floor to ceiling windows, well designed spaces, beautiful fireplace/kitchen/lights. Unfortunately, the only thing that was an issue for us were the beds. We agree with some previous reviewers that the beds don’t match the quality of the other furniture and items within the property. After contacting the agency we were informed that mattress toppers had been added to the beds. Sadly, this wasn’t enough for us. The one negative, otherwise a perfect property!
Seagulls is a stunning property with amazing views out to sea. It has some fantastic features, such as the large bedrooms and the incredible views. But we also felt there were some areas to improve for a luxury property. Whilst we were aware that the property was not the whole building, we were not aware that the owner lived below. We were particularly surprised to realise that she controlled the property heating, which we had to request to be turned on, which felt strange. The parking information also needs to be updated on the website as permits are not £2 per day and we were not offered...more
My stay at The Homestead was amazing. The house was bigger and brighter than expected - all guests that arrived said the pictures do not do it justice. The place was well-equipped and the beds were very surprisingly comfortable. The location was beautiful and in a scenic area. I enjoyed a few cups of tea in the morning sun and at night looking up at the many stars. With the lovely weather we felt like we were further away from our homes in London 1-2 hours away. We went for a group walk to really take it in! Check-in was very quick with the host just requiring a call when we were on the way...more
Everyone loved the cottage and we all found it very comfortable. We particularly loved the outside space which was good both for eating and relaxing. We did, however, have a small problem with a nail sticking up on the wooden floor of the shower room and it was not easy to contact anyone about it (it was a Bank Holiday!). We couldn't locate any tools despite being told there was a hammer in a cupboard. In the end my son managed to bang it down using a stone. Otherwise everything worked well. Minor problems were: there was no teapot and no cafetiere for the coffee; it was not possible...more
We had our 25th wedding anniversary getaway at Little Sunray Dungeness. The property was really great just as quirky as the photos implied but comfy and practical at the same time. So many seating areas to really make use of all the views. Very well equipped for cooking, baking, playing board games or watching films. Though we did none of these because it was all about the location for us: open the back door to the sound and smell of the sea. Next door to the Power Station which looks impressive by day or by night, The light house, the stream train, the nature reserve! Great for walks s...more
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Fog Signal Building. The bed was comfortable and the property is ideally situated for excellent views of the sea. The kitchen was very well equipped. But I don't think we will stay there again. It's taken me a while to write a review and I've just looked at some previous reviews, which I should perhaps have paid more attention to before I booked. We had to call out maintenance on our first evening as quite a few of the lights weren't working (which I see has been the case now for several years). We also had a hideous panic because we couldn't find the light s...more
Stayed here numerous times. Location is excellent and the cottage is peaceful and cosy. The garden is absolutely beautiful and our toddler loves roaming about in it and feeding the numerous birds. Beds are comfy. Wish the large bed was a king size rather than a double. Kitchen has everything need but bring basics like cooking oil. Kitchen roll etc. will return again.
Had a fabulous weekend, the house was clean, big grounds, comfortable layout of the house. Only few minor details - no amenities in showers and only one hairdryer for the whole house
Great location and well equipped, and great value for money, highly recommended only issue is on third floor with no lift, other than that perfect!
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Bonnington Cottage. The house and the locale is beautiful. This is the one place I can come and truly switch off from the world!
