A lovely time spent at Seascape, 3 generations from 14-89. The lodge was lovely and cosy and well equipped and the beds so comfortable. Great spacing between the lodges meant you didn’t see or hear other guests. Lovely views over the coastline, even on overcast days. Lots to explore around the area. James was so helpful and quick to respond when we were booking or had a question and Donald too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cairn Dyke. Due to a pet allergy it was essential to find a none dog friendly property; not easy nowadays! Cairn Dyke is in a fantastic location, is well appointed and immaculate in terms of condition and cleanliness. The log burner is a real bonus. The views over the Solway are stunning. It's a 30 minute walk into Gatehouse and the recommended cafés are excellent. We visited Kirkcudbright on a couple of occasions; well worth a visit and the harbour side restaurant of Swally and Scran is highly recommended, if you like fresh seafood; but booking is essential. ...more
We were blown away with our lodge it was absolutely amazing and the views had me sitting staring out the windows watching the birds and sunsets. It was a very cozy lodge and we wanted for nothing. The size of all the rooms are great they were so much bigger than we thought. We will certainly return and will be recommending it to everyone we know. Thank you James for the lovely surprises that were awaiting our arrival, including the milk in the fridge. Cheers
Great home but the cleanliness really let it down. The oven was filthy, all dishes and glasses had to be washed prior to use and the bedrooms were very dusty. Real shame as the location and appearance of the home are excellent.
