We now have 4 lodges 2 which are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and two larger lodges which are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with an open plan kitchen dining area. With stunning views over Fleet Bay, Seascape , Silver Birch, Carin Dyke & Ocean Drive have everything you need to have as a base while you explore the beauty of Dumfries and Galloway.
Miller’s Hill has the most spectacular view which captures you immediately. We spent hours watching the tides come and go. The lodge is modern, clean and well maintained. Parking is good. The lane up easily negotiable and there are walks from the door. You have lots of wildlife to watch from hundreds of bunnies which drive the dog mad to red kites to deer. The peaceful setting is soothing and clever placing of the lodges keep them private and secluded. The walk to Gatehouse of Fleet is doable and interesting through Cally Wood. We have now visited Gatehouse Luxury Lodges several times, and this time was no different.
We thoroughly enjoyed the lodge itself and its amazing position.
We sat and enjoyed the scenery through the large windows observing the tide rising and falling in the Fleet estuary, beyond Gatehouse of Fleet down below us. We looked on further into the Solway and towards the Mull of Galloway.
A beatiful location which we we find so invigorating.so we have booked for next year already, whilst places remain.
This is our second visit to Gatehouse Luxury Lodges, with another booked, for next year, during our stay. The weather was fantastic, the views outstanding and the standard of the lodge brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for James and his team. We visited a number of different places during our stay, we still have lots more to explore! Given that I started visiting this area as a child, over 50 years ago, i still love it and it remains a special place in my heart.
Had another amazing stay at the Gatehouse Luxury lodges. This time we stayed in the Silver Birch for 7 days.
We love the location.with its peaceful quiet and spectacular scenery at these lodges and will continue to visit in the future.
This was our 4th visit to the lodges and we continue to enjoy the comfort, facilities and the views! It's very nice to be in the quiet countryside seeing animals around and dark skies after bedtime. The 30 minute walk to Gatehouse of Fleet is very pleasant and good for the digestion after being at the nice local pubs for food. We always enjoy the beaches and visits to other towns such as Kirkcudbright. The younger family members had their bikes and enjoyed the local routes. A short walk up the public road past the lodges provides even more extensive views. The EV charging points on site have a...more
