This is our fourth year of booking with Holiday Wales and our first visit to the Cwm Chwefru Lake Cottages and we will be back!! The cottages were easy to find and the setting is just spectacular - snuggled in the middle of the valley. The accommodation had everything that we needed for our 3 night stay - including a full sized fridge freezer. We are an active bunch and the grounds included a lake to fish in, tennis courts and a swimming pool alongside the beautiful valley to hike through. The location was perfect for switching off and living in the present. Our only disappointment was no loca...more
Definitely recommend this property to all,it was clean and had all the facilities you would need for a short break, washing machine, dryer, dish washer and very good wifi. We all throughly enjoyed our stay and are booking again for Christmas. The hosts were excellent and looked after us very well.
Absolutely stunning location, very quiet and relaxing which was we wanted. Where the house is the stony beach is minutes away but we walked up about 5/10 mins and found a sandy beach and it was so quiet and felt we were there on our own. The house is beautifully decorated and more than comfortable for a family of five !! Well done
Fantastic property, stunning views, very helpful customer service. Can't complain at all the say was perfect.
Fantastic location, and beautiful lodges with excellent facilities. It was lovely watching the waves from our hottub on the decking!
We have just stayed for a week at bryncylla and we loved every minute!!!! We were celebrating my husbands 40th birthday and it was the perfect setting. The owner is really friendly and welcoming. Gwyneth was so kind and thoughtful, she arranged a balloon and a beautiful welcome pack for us. The views, birds and peaceful environment are wonderful, and experiencing them from the hot tub was the best!! The cottage has everything you would want in regards to the facilities and accessories. We had a wonderful week and there are lovely places to visit nearby, although the cottage itself is en...more
Amazing location with lovely views. 4 of us stayed and with a little one , we all had an super time . Not too far from a little life ( shops, restaurants etc) . The property was very clean and had a lovely design. We will be returning at some point ! Thanks for having us
The lodge was beautiful, clean and we had everything we needed. The hosts were brilliant at keeping in touch to ensure we had the best stay. The location was perfect, very peaceful with plenty to do/visit. Would 100% recommend and visit again!
Great place for a quiet weekend away with family. The house had everything and was very spacious. The hottub was a great addition. The area was lovely and the views were amazing.
Loved the hot tub was amazing time away for my birthday will definitely will be coming back again soon
The most lovely remote place for a stay! Had such a great 2 nights.. will definitely recommend this to all my family! The owners dad was so nice! He popped over at the beginning of our stay and gave us attraction recommendations (which were great). 10/10.
Will definitely return again soon , what a gem . Was spotlessly clean and had everything we need for a lovely long weekend. They thought of everything from the hot tub to the wood burner deco to a high standard . Thank you was perfect xx
Lovely stay at Eleri's Barn. Wonderful property and a great base for exploring Mid Wales and beyond.
Myself and my 4yr old had a wonderful stay at Tulip. It was clean, and had everything we needed for our short stay. Will definitely return again. Many thanks.
Having stayed in a shepherd hut last year, we booked 2 pods for a family stay and it was as wonderful as the first. The pods had everything we needed and was comfortable and warm. We would definitely stay again.
Me and my partner come for my birthday, and I will definitely be back!! The whole site in which these homes are on is stunning, the hot tub was a lovely feature. Our hut was clean and cosy and we feel the hosts went above and beyond to make this experience has relaxing as possible. Thankyou!!
Lovely place hidden out the way, Not much near by so do bring your shopping with you. We had one small issue of the smoke alarm beeping throughout the night but was immediately rectified in the morning so can't complain as was dealt with promptly. The pictures do make this look as though its on its own but it is on a site with a few other shepherds huts and larger log cabins (not an issue for us, but if you want to be isolated and on your own you need to know) We brought our own fire wood for the fire pit just in case but these are available in large bags on site for £10- the hot tub is cov...more
Lovely little pod, very clean and tidy and stunning views. Hot tub did feel a bit colder than you expect as your quite high up and it was very windy outside and toilet seat was broken on arrival, other than that we had a lovely stay and would 100% rebook in future. Bed was very comfortable and shower was also good. The fresh eggs and milk in the fridge on arrival were a lovely little touch too. Definitely recommend.
Hands down the best venue me and the mrz have stayed in , cant wait to go back again. Roll on next year when we get to go back
We booked to stay on Primrose with my 13 year old and our cockapoo Ralph. From the moment we pulled up it was an utter wow moment. The pod is set in an idyllic part of the country with sheep and cows as neighbours. The pod was very clean and after a 4 hour trip the little touches of milk in the fridge really did make a difference. My son loved the football pitch and got tub and the pod has everything you could need. All the little touches to make your stay comfy are thought about. Loved that the hoover was left as it allowed us to keep the place clean and as we found it. The surrounding ar...more
We had an amazing time, it was in such a pretty and peaceful location, and we lucked out with the weather. It was just what we needed to get away from our usual crazy busy lives. Thank you
A beautiful cabin in a beautiful spot! A little piece of paradise. Hosts were very helpful and on hand if needed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fabulous place very well kept. Good service when needed. We had a very comfortable annd a very enjoyable stay.
Brilliant weekend away owners are very helpful, would recommend to anyone looking for a good value for money get away!
We booked a two night getaway last minute in the morning and got this gem of a place. It’s amazing, views for miles, hot tub and all the necessities you need and more. The converted horse trailer is amazing, extremely comfortable for us, a family of four with two small dogs. The hosts were very kind & helpful. The grounds were clean and secure. It is really lovely, we will return.
We stayed at the Hayloft with our chidren and grand children for our sons 40th birthday and had a fabulous time. It is a lovely and well equipped house.
This little hut was just perfect for two people. Had everything we needed and more! We would definitely go back again. The hot tub was a great bonus and the views were spectacular! We will be recommending this place to friends and family.
The accommodation was perfect with everything we could have needed for our short stay. We were given a leaflet to help with any questions about our stay which was very helpful! The weather was also great during our stay so the views from the outside was absolutely lovely.
We truly enjoyed our weekend away in the Fern - Beacon View Pod. The pod was very well equipped and cosy. We loved the hot tub and the views. I highly recommend this place for a nice romantic quiet weekend, it's the perfect place to turn off your phones and just enjoy each other and nature.
Very lovely place with stunning views very clean we had a relaxing stay and will definitely be back in the future
HonneyBee house is a a beautiful place to stay, we really enjoyed our break there. Everything you need is provided and the location is lovely. The alpacas were friendly it was great having a brew in the morning sat with them, and they loved our dog. We will definitely be going back.
Myself and partner loved everything about Y Fedwen, location was amazing, views were amazing, first time using a hot hub and myself and partner enjoyed, visited local shops which weren’t too far away and also visited the Dam and Waterfall. We will be definitely going back and would recommend this to anybody that wants peace and quiet and amazing views.
Fabulous place with fantastic facilities for families with young children including pets. Staff were really friendly and very helpful. Property was beautiful and in a good location. Can’t fault anything 10/10
We had a wonderful week away in Wales. The lodge was amazing very clean and comfortable. Great location with amazing views everywhere you look and on the doorstep of the beautiful Elan Valley! So peaceful and a very relaxing break! Thank you!
Brilliant stay! Beautiful view and great location for exploring and for having timing out from hectic life. Hot tub (electric) really appreciated- far more efficient than wood fired alternative! Access to site can be tricky if overgrown.
We had a lovely couple of days at valley view. Very comfortable and relaxing, the views are superb and the hobbit house wonderfully clean and well equipped
This is our 2nd visit to tents. We stayed at ‘The Otter’ for 2 nights in July 2025. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Only downside is the amount of flies and wasps but this was to be expected when it’s warm and sunny! Accommodation had fly tape and swatter which helped. Bbq & Hot tub was a great addition to our stay - hot tub is covered by a hedge for added privacy. Toilet facilities cleaned daily but would flood easily due to shower curtain and other guests not using it properly.
Lovely accomodation and lovely settings very clean and comfortable. The towm is only 10 minutes away lovely place for a quiet drink and meals
Had a fantastic stay couldnt of wished for anything better the cottage had everything we needed and more. Perfect location with stunning views, the garden was amazing and safe for Otis to run around and the hot tub at the end of the day was so relaxing. Thank you Leanne we will definitely be back
We have just returned from spending Christmas here as a family of 6. The property is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. So spacious, clean and homely. Property is well furnished with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very responsive in the run up to our holiday and throughout. We had a slight problem with the heating during our stay and a plumber was sent out within hours to rectify the issue. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and we will be looking to return in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Hillside Cabin (Dolfor - 2 adults 1 child) The cabin is cleverly laid out and has everything you need. The site facilities are very good and ideal for a relaxing break. Staff very friendly and considerate. Location around 15-20mins from Newtown which has supermarkets. Will be booking again.
we stayed at Kestrel cottage 4 adults (friends) and two boys aged 10 and 12 on the 8th December. It was a quiet peaceful place, beautiful scenery and it was an exceptionally clean property to stay in. All the equipment we had the need of was provided. The place was spotless. Very rural but we were happy with that. We had taken dvd’s to use and board games to place. The swimming pool was lovely, sauna was a welcome addition too. We would all return in a heart beat. Great value for money and a perfect place to unwind
Amazing stay at an amazing place. The property is in a very tranquil, quiet location and has lovely views across the countryside. The owners have thought of lots of lovely touches to make the stay stress free. Not to mention the homemade cake on arrival! We are already looking forward to our next visit and have recommended it to friends.
Just had our second stay of the year on this site and absolutely loved It. Love the peace and quiet, fabulous walks, the views are amazing and of course the bonus of the hot tub. Lovely staff too. Will be back again I’m sure.
The lodge was beautiful, all facilities were of a high standard, the beds are super comfy. We really enjoyed our stay!
My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 3-night stay at the Celyn Pod and we absolutely loved every minute. The pod was so cosy, beautifully set up, and the views were absolutely stunning. The hot tub was such a lovely addition, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We really appreciated the fresh eggs too it such a thoughtful touch! One of the days we drove to Snowdon and hiked to the top, which we’d definitely recommend. Coming back to the hot tub afterwards made all the walking worth it! We would 100% recommend this pod to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and we’re ...more
I stayed previously with my sister, two children and two dogs. This time I came back with my partner for a more relaxing stay! Both times my stay has been amazing. It has everything you need to cook with. It's lovely and cosy of an evening. The only thing I struggled with both times is finding the correct turn into the site! Will definitely be back again.
Had a lovely weekend away at the Ginger Nut for my birthday, check in instructions were clear and the hut was small but everything I needed. The hottub was lovely to relax in after a day of exploring the area. Lots to do around the area and food places to try. Will most definitely be booking again.
Staying in a hobbit house was really special. The alpacas were great fun. Relaxing in the hot tub viewing the Milky Way was an experience to be remembered.
We really enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and cosy. Checking in and out was easy and all the information we needed was provided beforehand. There is a handy guide to use upon arrival about the accomdation and area. It was lovely to be able to have our dogs there and it had plenty of space for them to run around.
Second stay in the pods. Spotlessly clean. Premium finishes, dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave. Highlight is the hot tub and views over fields with lambs. Only scored down on location as it may be remote for some and not walkable to the nearest town Rhayader which is scenic with river walk, red kite feeding farm, co-op for essentials. Careful planning would remove the issue. We cooked pizzas, lasagne and bacon baps during our 2 night stay. We toasted marshmallows on the fire pit and star gazing is amazing here. Only downside for us was the position of the new park and goal posts has obscu...more
Me and my partner loved staying here, the views were amazing especially waking up to dozens of sheep right outside our door. Buck Barn was well looked after and had everything we needed for our stay, the hot tub was incredible too, the only thing i could fault is that there were lots of flies around the area and a lot of them ended up in the cabin but if you keeps doors and windows closed it should be fine.
Peaceful no stress location, views that were second to none just watching the sheep meander by, wine & Welsh cakes a lovely touch, tiny bit of feedback could do with new sofa cushions & new bed pillows & they've lost a bit of bounce all in all though an extremely enjoyable break away
A very well furnished bungalow close to Rhayader and an excellent base for touring Elan Valley and the surrounding area. We enjoyed a three night stay in the property which is in a very peaceful and friendly village. The property is well appointed with a good size kitchen/diner, lounge, three very comfortable bedrooms and a great hot tub that easily accommodated 4 adults. Overall, we had a great stay and plan to return.
I can stay we have a pleasant stay regardless of the Storm Amy. This situation came up for some suggestions... there must be lights on the signage of the entrance because the postcode will not direct you accurately in the location. There is only 1 bedroom! The other bedroom was in living room converted bunkbeds/sitting area. If its children its ok but if 4 adults not recommended, not much privacy and peace as your friends walking pass you going to get food_water or going toilet. It would be helpful to have a microwave to easy heat food. At least a coat hook to hangs coats after a wet walk arou...more
We absolutely loved the whole experience celebrating my dad's birthday with the entire family. Thank you for coming to take pictures of our family. We were initially unsure about staying in a tent, as it was our first time glamping but we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and cozy everything was. We were told the bathrooms were a short walk away, but ours was conveniently located just across the road from our tent, which made things super easy. The hammock did sink a little low to the ground, maybe if it were a bit higher, it would have been perfec! But lounging on it togethe...more
Had an amazing time beautiful views good local information provided, very clean would definitely come back again and recommend to people
It was a great property. Peaceful and quiet location; private location not overlooked in the garden, which was lovely. Enjoyed the outdoors due to afew good days' weather, and the hot-tub was excellent. Beds were very comfortable and nice bedding. Having 2 bathrooms worked very well, as it meant my sister could have her own bathroom, and my husband and I the other one. We would not hesitate in staying again if doing a break like that with my sister with her dog. There were afew issues with water/showers when nearby hot-tubs were being filled-up for the next bookings....but when I con...more
Beautiful place, very romantic, perfect gateway for anyone who’s taking a break with furry babies. We spent 4 days at sunflower with gorgeous views, privacy and a high standard Equipment! If you looking for plenty of places to do some hiking and exploring combined with evening relaxation in a hot tub and an open fire then don’t hesitate just make your booking!! Worth every penny!
An amazing weekend stay in the Daffodil. The property was clean and had everything we needed. With some gorgeous welcome treats from the hosts, we really enjoyed the waffles! Loved that the garden was enclosed for the dogs! We stayed on the hottest weekend of the year, so sadly didn't get to see too much of the local area as too hot to take the dogs far! But we will be back, already looking at booking again! Would recommend to anyone! A gorgeous glamping pod and a perfect place to relax!
We stayed during February half term at Beacon view barn, our daughter and two teenage granddaughters stayed next door at the same time. The views are amazing and fantastic, especially of hills and sheep. There are many narrow and sometimes steep country lanes all around the location. The lanes are quieter being the location is rural. Beacon View Barn has everything facility wise that you would expect, including an honesty box is case you have forgotten anything (toiletries wise). We took all our food (everything is quite a distance away, including shops) for the mid week that we were the...more
We stay here for 2nights for a birthday celebration! It was a lovely find! Very dog friendly, perfect location for dog walks! The cabin was lovely, hot tub was a lovely touch! Nice to chill out in after long day walking! Definitely will return in the future! John n kerrie very helpful! Sam, Rob n trixie! Xx
The cabin itself was perfect, enough room for us all, perfect location and clean! It might be worth looking into the issue with flies, it was uncomfortable at times and made preparing food very difficult. We struggled with the outdoor seating as the picnic table was very uneven and we couldn’t even use the table and chairs as they were broken and dangerous. This was disappointing as we had hoped to sit outside to eat and enjoy the sunset. The patio was also very dirty, and slippery when coming out of the hot tup. It might be useful for you to provide separate towels for the hot tub. ...more
Absolutely beautiful location, everything with the room was perfect, hot tubs was amazing, can not fault a single thing, also the local Chinese was probably the best iv ever had but honestly if your looking for a peaceful weekend away with nothing going on around you, this is the place to be ,
An absolutely amazing stay at Shepherds View. As in the name the views were incredible to wake up to every day, made even better by the highland cows. The hut was spotlessly clean on arrival and had the basics for what you need for your stay. The perfect peaceful retreat we needed. We spent every day going out to explore the Mid Wales countryside including visiting the Elan Valley, Aberdyfi, Hafod Estate, Devils Bridge and Llyn Clywedog. Everywhere we went the views were breathtaking, even on the drive, which mostly took 30mins - 1hour to drive there which we were happy to do. The only local w...more
We spent a long weekend at Panteg, the setting is lovely, surrounded by four legged neighbours and a stream running past. The cabin has everything you would need, the bed was the comfiest we have had in similar accommodation. A perfectly proportioned kitchen area and outside seating. All in all a lovely weekend, lots to do and visit nearby.
Arrived on a beautiful sunny day with red kites flying above. Hot tub ready for first dip of a three night stay. Plenty of pillows, dining Al fresco, everything we needed. We will bring loungers next time as it was sunbathing weather. Radio, tv and all mod cons. We definitely made the most of chilling as it was over 25 degrees. Views amazing, sunrise and sunsets beautiful. Our Maddie loved the smells and rest days too! Thank you
We were looking for a relaxing stay and definitely got it here. The Woodland View cabin was perfect with the enclosed garden for our dog whilst we could chill with the fire pit and the hot tub. We will return for sure.
Lovely stay at the kingfisher- host couldn’t do more - very helpful, decorated the hut including a cake for my girlfriend and offered to be a taxi for us if needed. Was lovely to get away with no signal and chill in lovely surroundings- even the thunderstorms didn’t ruin our weekend. Would go back again. Feedback from girlfriend- send the dogs down to say hello more often :)
We had a weekend perfect stay. The cottage has so much character and style . Perfectly equipped and stunning views
We stayed at Ivy’s Way at the Views for 2 nights. The minute we arrived, we wish we’d have booked longer! The shepherds hut was perfect, and had all the essentials needed for a short break - kitchenette, with tea, coffee and sugar and some gorgeous caramel waffles and a small bathroom! Other essentials included a tea towel, washing up liquid, bin bags, toilet roll and towels. We loved the hot tub and found this really easy to use, appreciating it being prepared in advance so we could use this on our first night. The log burner was a lovely addition. Although, we found the shepherds hut...more
Very impressed with the lodge as soon as we arrived. Cosy and feels homely inside. Top of the range appliances which made it very enjoyable. One thing that would have been nice would be a microwave as with these sorts of stays, we prepared our meals with this expectation. One more thing would be a mat on the floor inside the lodge as it rained while we were there and we ended up having to sacrifice one of our towels from home to avoid wet footprints inside. Overall, would definitely stay again and really enjoyed this. Will be recommending to friends and family.
The accommodation was outstanding with simply the best view. Loved my stay and will be looking to stay again but this time for longer!! Would 10/10 recommend to everyone.
We stayed for four nights at Red Kite View and were initially blown away by how stunning the place is. The hot tub overlooks fields, and the interior is beautifully modern with high-quality furnishings. The upstairs decking offering lovely views and a real sense of privacy thanks to the surrounding bushes that shield neighbouring cabins. We especially enjoyed sitting out in the evenings, the stars were incredible, and the Milky Way was directly overhead. Although the sunset was partially blocked by trees due to the time of year, it was still a lovely spot to unwind. Unfortunately, the fl...more
We stayed in the Prancing pony for 4 nights. It was a great experience perfect location near water falls and clean comfortable pod to stay in. I would say it’s bit small for family of 4 but perfect for couples or family of 3. Everything we needed was there in the pod. Very relaxing hot tub and beautiful views. recommend
Meadow Retreat is a really well-appointed and spacious lodge on the beautiful Cae Llwyn farm. As a family of 3 (2x adults and 1x five year old), it was more than enough for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and we all enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and comfy seating area with smart TV. There is plenty of space between the lodges so you have good privacy and cannot hear any noise from fellow guests. We had two minor issues during our stay which were both sorted out within minutes of contacting the owners, which was greatly appreciated. The location is perfect for...more
Beautiful location in the countryside, but close to all the amenities by car. Peaceful and cosy, it was so rainy and windy most of the weekend but we still had a lovely time and would visit again! The beds were comfy and the hot tub was lovely and warm.
Beautiful place, owners very helpful, very kind, some great walks, disappointed the local pub is closed ! 2 mile walk to pub but around great place to stay…
Lovely place to stay, nice cosy and clean. Would have liked a bigger pot to cook in as it's advertised for sleeping up to 6 people. Would be nice to have a later check out time as standard but I guess that is standard. The only reason a 5 was given for comfort instead of a 6 was that the sofa bed was not great. Overall great stay would definitely return and recommend.
Hillside lodge is a beautiful cabin/lodge with stunning surroundings. My partner and I only stayed 1 night but could happily do a week (if you like quiet) Self check in and out so no need to find any staff, pulled straight up to the lodge with ease. Lodge was clean and tidy with everything ready that we had ordered. If you’re not very ‘spritely’ we wouldn’t recommend sleeping up top due to the steps to ascend but nevertheless a stunning nights stay. Sadly we had a cloudy evening so didn’t get any stargazing but it did t stop us spending the evening in the hot tub. Highly recommend this plac...more
Fantastic little cabin very quiet place to relax in hot tub small park for little ones very polite stuff will be staying again next year.
Positives: fabulous setting, wonderful views, large garden gives plenty of outside space, hot tub fab, the cabin is comfortable & mostly has everything you’d need. Negatives: boiler not far from bed so kept me awake all night (I’m a light sleeper). No mirror anywhere. Blinds are useless so don’t expect a dark room when sleeping. Lots of dog poo in the garden, one corner was particularly bad & I called dog poo corner. Plates, bowls & mugs are all tiny!
The pod where we stayed was really cosy with good facilities, great location, good accessibility close to shops, really enjoyed my stay, definitely recommend.
When we first arrived we were wowed, the bath outside, the hot tub, it looked amazing. Sadly after being there for a few hours the reality of it hit, there was a terrible smell of sheep poo constant, making you not really want to go outside. The outside bath was completely damaged therefore unable to be used. - which is very disappointing given this was probably one of the selling points. The indoor shower would go from freezing cold to scalding hot without any warning. My son really burnt himself. There were flies everywhere, the room itself was covered in sticky fly catchers. - all of this i...more
Really enjoyed our stay here. Super quality and comfortable. Gorgeous cabin exactly as described. Will definatly be back to stay again in more accomadation on site. However, we did get disturbed sleep from an electrical/water noise at the rear of the pod which happened to be right beside the bed and was noisey all through the day/night. Thanks!
Marches Way was everything we were looking for in a long weekend stay! The site was beautifully maintained with a calm but friendly atmosphere - we felt our cabin had enough privacy while still being part of the site. The cabin itself had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay, it is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the accommodation. The cabin was beautifully cleaned upon arrival with complimentary tea and coffee well stocked and some complimentary waffles too! The hot tub was great & the views were amazing - we loved watching the sunset each evening. Overal...more
What a fantastic farmhouse this is for a large group. Totally fulfilled every expectation we had for my 70th birthday with family and friends. Even tho it was a cold month the house was always lovely and warm. The hot tub was a great bonus and we had lots of fun in it, always hot and well maintained. Recommend this lovely venue for a large gathering
We stayed in Foxes View and very much enjoyed our quirky, little home for three nights. We loved the stunning views and watching the farmer going about his day and the Highland cows. A couple of things that would have really improved our stay, firstly adequate mirrors for each room and a full length mirror. Why do holiday rentals fail to provide them? Why do the curtains in the main bedroom only cover half the window? Some decent fitted blinds would have been appreciated and finally, it would have been nice to have a relaxing seating area. I understand that the bunkette seating is practical bu...more
We had a very enjoyable weekend. We had two glamping tents next to each other. We were comfortable and had a real good time. The only downfall was that we were a bit loud for other campers.
Had a lovely break in rabbits view, the hobbit hole was brilliant, very clean and comfy. Really clear instructions to check in and appreciated the tea, coffee and milk left for us to use, and the waffles! Would definitely recommend as it was a very peaceful relaxing break. Very easy to find using Google maps too and nice and close to drive down to the town. Overall we had a brilliant stay.
The exterior is lovely, the scenery is stunning, the interior is very tasteful. The high ceilings are very airy and spacious with lovely beams giving a traditional feel The amenities are excellent, a coffee machine, dishwasher (although couldn't figure how to work it!), hot tub, modern oven/hob, nice shower. The hot tub is very warm, has a set temperature and you can fiddle with lights for nighttime use and jets, it was very pleasant to use. Dog friendly which was a bonus, and the lovely welcome pack was a nice touch! The only minor bits of feedback would be the internet / WiFi was...more
Lovely modern lodge in a beautiful surrounding of all the mountains, creating a peaceful stay. Lovely hamper left of crisps, marshmallows and a bottle of lemonade (ideal for just 1 person though). Plenty of plug sockets throughout. However, never met the owners at all during the stay, no communication from themselves to ensure everything was okay checking in etc. Made contact regarding hot tub as it became unbearably hot and was simply told to take lid off for half hour before, bluntly. (didnt work as the hot tub was set on maximum to keep heating up and there was no adnusting control panel)...more
The accommodation and the site are stunning. Really comfortable beds, very clean, and the hot tub is great. However there were a few negatives about Otters view. There were flies everywhere and in every room. We were provides with 2 sticky fly traps however the only place we could find to hang them was from the light right above the dinner table. The oven wasn't sealed properly so the fire alarm went off everytime we tried to cook. The curtain in the master bedroom doesn't cover the whole circular window so we were woken up as soon as the sun was up. We stayed in the middle of su...more
Had a lovely few days away for the wife’s birthday , our son and daughter in law recommended this one as they have stayed here before. Well laid out site and everything was perfect . Will definitely return as it was great value and staff were lovely. Many thanks to you all .
A gorgeous pod, set in a stunning location. The pod is spacious and well equipt and the views from the hot tub were just incredible. Thank you for a fantadtic stay, will definitely be back!
Myself and my husband stayed for 4 nights with our dog to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. The property is impressive with lots of space and land, our dog really enjoyed the little woodlands behind the cabin. While the location is lovely and picturesque, surrounded by greenery and farm animals, it is a bit of a drive from the nearest town (around 20-25 minutes). We didn't mind this though as the drive was lovely and scenic with no traffic (apart from sheep in the road!). We had an issue with the hot tub on the first night as it hadn't been cleaned. Within an hour of texting the...more
We loved our stay here, the remote location was perfect for us, peaceful yet only a short drive to shops if needed. The highlight was definitely the night sky, being able to sit in the hot tub under the stars and even see the Milky Way was incredible! The place had almost everything we needed (there was no salt on arrival), and it was warm and cosy, which made it really relaxing. That said, there are a few things that could be improved. Cleanliness wasn’t quite up to the standard we’d expect for the price, for example, we noticed lots of dead flies under the blinds and some leftover facial ...more
The perfect place to escape to enjoy the peace and quiet, set in the rolling green hillside. Everything you need for a self chartering get away! Would highly recommend.
We had the most relaxing time away. Everything was to a high standard. The people were so nice and helpful with anything we needed or if we had any questions. I highly recommend this stay to anyone. We will definitely be returning.
The pros - The hut was very well organised and equipped with everything you needed. The views and location were amazing. The cons - The hut was very dirty and needed a good clean. There was a spiders nest in the pull out bed, and dirt and hairs all down the side. The bed had missing slats and mouldy underneath the mattress. The filter in the hot tub needed replacing as it smelt damp. If it was cleaned I would recommend to others.
We had a lovely 4 day break. The Lodge was lovely and clean. The twin room was a little small for an adult but otherwise ok. The site was clean and plenty for the kids to do. Only issue we had was the cafe, food wasnt great. They had run out of alot of ingredients but didn't tell us. We had completely different xishes to what we ordered. Staff were polite, but didn't seem to know what they were doing. Could have just been an off day.
