Westfield Place has a huge feeling of space; not only inside, with the high ceilings, grand staircase and large reception rooms and bedrooms, but also in the large lake, lawn and frontage/driveway areas. Lovely mature trees, flora and forna. I recommend a longer stay to really get into and live it.
We had a lovely stay. The cottage is well equipes, everything is there and more. Penny and Philip are very friendly and make you feel at home. We will definitely recommend to book this cottage
We had a wonderful weekend at Cleve Cottage! The house is so beautifully decorated, it felt like staying in a boutique hotel but with all the comforts of home. Positioned in the prettiest part of Lewes and within walking distance of the high street and train station we could not fault the location, we were worried about the lack of parking but the owners left us parking permits and getting parked near the house was never a problem. We will definitely recommend Cleve Cottage to our family and friends and hopefully return ourselves one day.
I had the most wonderful stay at Alexia and Richard’s cottage. From the moment I arrived, I felt so genuinely welcomed — they’re such kind and thoughtful hosts, and it really shines through in everything they do. The cottage is beautiful, immaculately presented, very modern yet still full of character, and spotlessly clean, with its own private entrance so you feel completely independent. Even though Alexia and Richard live next door, they’re wonderfully quiet and considerate, which makes the whole place feel very peaceful. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences you could need, the beds a...more
The place was very convenient to visit the south coast of West Sussex. We really enjoyed staying there since the place was clean, charming & very well organized for our family. We had everything needed to feel like we were home. This is a very beautiful Cottage and we were lucky to stay there.
An excellent stay in a very comfortable and clean property. The property was recently renovated and is definitely recommendable to anyone looking for a place in the country.
Sea Breezes is an ideal property for a small group of family or friends. There are 4 double bedrooms, 3 of which can be arranged as single beds (bear in mind the single beds are only 2'6" wide). The 2 shower rooms are nice and modern. We loved the decor and the quirky features in the property. The welcome pack and toiletries are a nice bonus. The property is ideally located for walks along the beach, the lagoon and the nature reserve. We didn't walk as much as we would have liked as we were there during storm Bert and it was extremely windy and wet! We had a lovely relaxing weekend and are...more
Our stay was conveniently located for the Goodwood Revival. The Cottage was located in a very peaceful and quite location. Our hosts Lucy and David could not have been more welcoming or helpful, even helping supply gumboots for a very wet Revival weekend. The Cottage was very clean and perfect for our needs and contained everything we needed.
This is by far one of the best houses I stayed (and I do travel quite a lot!!). Not only is comfortable and built to the highest standard, it’s located in an idyllic spot in Sussex where you can explore the area. We will come back soon!
Mill Barn is a charming traditional cottage with comfort worth a high quality hotel. Location is ideal, with access to the Chailey Common just behind the house. Owner is available at any time and very friendly.
Fantastic property in a beautiful, quiet location. Facilities excellent with everything supplied being of a very high standard. Hosts lovely, easy going and extremely welcoming and helpful :) 10/10
Renting a large house with sea views for our family of three generations and two dogs is an annual, long weekend, event. There are 9 of us. The Shallows is by far the best yet. Grandchildren are two 20 year old girls and two 18 year old boys. The Shallows is a beautiful palatial home, well equipped, spacious beyond our expectations, beautiful spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and luxurious linen. The pool table, heated swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna, were all well used. The hot tub is in a fantastic position next to the sea with unobstructed views. Several lounge areas with the...more
A lovely cottage overlooking Ditchling Beacon. Very comfortable and a spacious property for two. The hosts Chris and Eileen were friendly and informative. Very close to lots of interesting places. Generally well equipped only a minor point could do with an extra small frying pan and a smaller sharp knife. We self catered as well as eating out so noticed this. Had everything else that we needed. A very nice place to stay.
Library Cottage is the perfect hideaway, tucked away in the depths of West Sussex. This was our second visit and it was just like home from home with a warm welcome from our hosts. The scenery on the South Downs is stunning and the seaside resorts have their own traditional attractions like the pier at Eastbourne and holiday rock at Bognor. All in all, a delightful week.
An amazing property in an amazing location. Set in the middle of farmland this Sussex Timber Framed House is truly unique. The whole history of the land and property are documented from 1245 both in book form and on the walls of the entrance porch. Filled with original beams and woodwork, inglenook fireplaces and furnished to compliment the age of the building but with modern day living taken into account. An amazing bedroom with vaulted ceiling and modern en-suite bathroom. A lovely kitchen with everything you would need for a stay. A more than generous welcome pack of groceries were sup...more
The Old Stables is a very well equiped cosy cottage nestled in a quiet and remote although easealy accessible spot. We warmly recomand it. NB: english is not my mother tongue so feel free to correct any mystakes.
We had a lovely stay in the Old Tractor Shed. Toni and David were very welcoming and the accommodation was perfect for our stay. Lots of lovely walks from the door. Plenty to visit and see locally and not far from the sea.
First class stay in lovely cottage with everything thought of - perfect welcome pack of milk, bread, coffee and biscuits!
We had a fabulous week. Seaphare is really well equipped for 8 people ( we were just 5 ) with an upside down house (living on first floor, beds downstairs) that was full of light and made the most of the amazing views and was brilliantly located - 15 seconds walk to the beach (pebbly, but we prefer that) where the sea was fabulous ( just one rough day) and in no time at all you could be into the hills and cliff walking up and over to Seaford Head and Cuckmere Haven. Perhaps the only downside was people walking by and looking in and saying Wow what an amazing house . Anyway we had a fabulou...more
We had a very enjoyable family stay at The Poolhouse. Location was perfect - so convenient to walk our dog in lovely Petworth Park, and a very short walk to the facilities of Petworth. Carole and Robert were super hosts; their fig delivery was especially appreciated! Would definitely recommend this property and would love to return!
Farthings is a fabulous place for a family holiday - it has everything you need, in a wonderful location close to the sea. It's a lovely house with a beautiful garden and pool. It's got all the facilities you need for the perfect holiday. Christopher was absolutely great - swifly responding to any questions. I'm sure we'll be back in the not too distant future!
We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children and Sun House was a perfect venue for a break by the sea. The house was extremely comfortable and very well equipped with plenty of space for everyone. We were lucky with the weather so could spend a lot of time outside. Nearly all the rooms have fantastic views on to the garden and beach/sea beyond and there is a wonderful hot tub and garden summerhouse. There is easy access on to the beach with wonderful walks in both directions. We spent a fantastic day on West Wittering beach with all the children bodyboard surfing. It is a great location for vi...more
I booked The Lakehouse Apartment for my wife and myself to stay while we were visiting our daughter around 10 minutes drive away. It turned out to be an excellent choice and the accommodation suited us well. We were particularly impressed by the wonderful view of the lake in the grounds and local wildlife as well as the rural views. The owner lives onsite and was very helpful. The apartment is off the beaten track in a tranquil location and we would have no hesitation in re-visiting should we require accommodation in the area again.
We loved everything about this cottage. The house is just as beautiful as the pictures show. 10 out of 10!
It was as expected, ie a cosy cottage in a remote but quiet location. Ideal for relaxing in peace and quiet
Very quiet, secluded and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here with pheasants and deer as the only company.
The cottage is about 5 mins walk to the sea and 15 mins walk to the village shops, cafes etc. There are coastal walks in both directions and interesting places to visit by car. The cottage itself is very well equipped with sufficient furniture inside and outside as well as in the kitchen.
We had a good stay at a great location in nature, and a very clean new apartment. I would recommend the owners to add laundry machine, dishwasher and upgrade the cooking facilities which would improve comfort greatly.
We had a great stay at Wickland Cottage. The location was spot on and off street parking was a real bonus. The cottage is well kept with comfortable beds and a good shower. Everything you need for a great holiday is provided. Chichester is a lovely city with lots to do in the area. It is also well served by public transport.
We stayed with our kids and parents ranging from 8 to 75 years. The house and garden worked perfectly for everyone and the location was great for access to the beach
We needed a relaxed space to stay with family members for my son's wedding, and Beaufort barn was perfect in every way - spacious enough to accommodate everyone comfortably and a very peaceful and tranquil place to re-charge after all the festivities. The many little extras were also much appreciated - e.g.shower and hand wash, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, laundry detergent - so nice not to have to think about buying them. Not to mention the delicious welcome biscuits ! We picked extra wedding flowers from the beautiful flower garden at Cooke's House, just around the corner - ...more
a lovely house, with plenty of off road parking spaces, a few meters away from the beach. We loved the possibility of just popping out to sea for a quick morning swim or a run along the shore, and then come back to the house for a breakfast al fresco in the secluded garden.
