We enjoyed everything about The Boat House from location to spacious design. The kitchen is exceptionally well fitted out with plenty of cupboard space and excellent appliances. The lounge area and bedroom is very comfortable, we particularly enjoyed the beautiful wood burner although the houses was always warm. Very quick responses from Laura and Will when we requested to extend our stay by one night. We also enjoyed watching the deer from the bathroom and daily visits from a pheasant, squirrel and robin. We can’t wait to go back again.
We spent a number of weeks here in Nov/Dec and we were very comfortable, warm and well catered for. The cottage has everything you would need for an extended stay and we didn't want for anything. As the days got colder, the wood burning stove provided a lovely evening source of heat for the cosy sitting room. The kitchen and bathroom space is well laid out and fitted with all modern white goods. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, we couldn't have hoped for better. Thank you! Rosi, Chris, Eloise, Sophie (and Bonnie!).
Sea Breezes is an ideal property for a small group of family or friends. There are 4 double bedrooms, 3 of which can be arranged as single beds (bear in mind the single beds are only 2'6" wide). The 2 shower rooms are nice and modern. We loved the decor and the quirky features in the property. The welcome pack and toiletries are a nice bonus. The property is ideally located for walks along the beach, the lagoon and the nature reserve. We didn't walk as much as we would have liked as we were there during storm Bert and it was extremely windy and wet! We had a lovely relaxing weekend and are...more
A beautiful place to stay in. The cottage had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It was immaculate and stylish. The view up to Beacon Hill was amazing and the surrounding countryside reminded you of how England should look. The hosts Eileen & Chris were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely stay there again. Ditchling is fascinating with period houses it’s steeped in history. A tip you must have an afternoon tea at the Nutmeg Tree tea room.

We made a very last minute booking for a short break here, and it was perfect. The cottage itself is well equipped, spacious, warm, and very comfortable. We loved sitting on the bench enjoying the pond, and took several walks in the private woods, which are more extensive than we'd expected. The random objets d'art in the woods are great fun! There are plenty of walks from the front door and we enjoyed the rolling countryside and autumnal leaves. The pub at the end of the lane is a very short walk from the cottage and we enjoyed several meals there, plus brunch one day. Lucie and David wer...more
This beautiful cottage is outstanding in every way, each room has its own personality and warmth, from coming in the gate to the front door and beyond. Great for snuggling up by the fire after a long soak in the beautiful bathroom after a long walk or shopping.
Our recent stay at Little Vintners was fantastic. Beautiful private location, modern yet homey cottage and great facilities. Everything was perfect for us. Julian & Alain were super helpful but left us to experience the place and take in the peacefulness. Totally great!
We needed a property with an open plan kitchen, two lounges 3 bedrooms that allowed my multi generational family to be able to be social but also have privacy when needed. This property was perfect. It was quiet but within a few minutes walk from shop and pub. Everything in the property is high spec without us feeling anxious about breaking or spoiling things. The owners were quick to respond when i asked them questions. Parking was easy. It was a perfect setting for us to enjoy our perfect Christmas. Highly recommended, would defo stay again
Library Cottage is a bijou residence set in the heart of the West Sussex countryside. The owners have lavished every comfort and convenience upon it and it is hard to think what else one could wish for. Despite the weather, we spent a very pleasant five days exploring the surrounding countryside; in warmer months, residents would have the exclusive use of a very attractive walled garden. We would have no hesitation in recommending to others.
The Old Stables is a very well equiped cosy cottage nestled in a quiet and remote although easealy accessible spot. We warmly recomand it. NB: english is not my mother tongue so feel free to correct any mystakes.
We stayed here for a family celebration (10 Adults), and we were blown away by the house, it was amazing. It looked great in the pictures, and it certainly did not disappoint when we arrived. The house is so spacious and perfect for a large family gathering, the location is perfect, tucked away at the end of a lane, it's very private, and the views were fantastic. We stayed in October when the weather wasn't great, so we didn't get to use the pool, I'd love to come back in the summer to enjoy all of the outside space.
The title of review says it all. Great place to go for a quiet weekend in gorgeous historical house.
We loved our stay here. The property was comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed, but the location is really what it is all about! Fabulous sea and cliff views, great walking, and a perfect spot to explore the Seven Sisters. We were staying to run the Beachy Head marathon nearby but would happily return to explore the area more. Thank you!
We have spent a very enjoyable family holiday at the property. The location is really excellent. Beautiful beaches of East Sussex are easy to reach, and the village itself is also pretty. The house had everything we needed. The description and the photos are accurate. The agents were very helpful.
This is the best house I've ever stayed in! Loads of space, very well equipped, lovely quiet location, but still near shops and a few restaurants. I will definitely be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed spending Christmas here, the layout of the house is great for family bonding time. The sheets and cleanliness was pristine and high quality. The general energy and vibe was lovely.
Very quiet, secluded and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here with pheasants and deer as the only company.
We had a wonderful time at The Poolhouse. The weather was perfect and the pool was a real bonus! We could not have enjoyed it more!
Very convenient situation for visiting Chichester town centre on foot and the many local attractions are only a short distance by car. It was very useful to have "user tips" for the oven, dishwasher etc, as well as a week's worth (for our party of 3 adults) of tablets for said dishwasher, clear instructions for how to find the keys to get in, when to put rubbish out and much more. A real home from home. It was also lovely to find a bottle of wine and some crisps to greet us when we arrived.
We had a good stay at a great location in nature, and a very clean new apartment. I would recommend the owners to add laundry machine, dishwasher and upgrade the cooking facilities which would improve comfort greatly.
We stayed with our kids and parents ranging from 8 to 75 years. The house and garden worked perfectly for everyone and the location was great for access to the beach
Had a wonderful getaway at Marine House; the accommodation is very impressive, good size, comfy lounge to sit and watch Storm Bert, everything we needed, plenty of space and nice kitchen area for sitting and communal eating. The pool table was a lovely extra. East Wittering itself was also very charming, good places in walking distance to go and eat, and a bracing walk along the front in gale force winds!
Very comfortable and spacious house in an area with lots of activities (hiking, mountainbike, castles, cities)
