We all had a terrific time at Muckrach house as it is such a wonderful place. Decoration is fantastic, facilities outstanding and the beds were super comfortable. There were 6 children with us and they didn’t want to leave. All in all, we thoroughly the house.
We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage in Scotland. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The lawn area was perfect for relaxing—we spent several evenings sitting outside with a glass of wine, soaking in the tranquility. It truly felt like a private escape, far from other houses and completely serene. One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife right in the garden! We spotted deer, buzzards, a pine marten, and even tiny shrews. Bryce kindly brought us a camera trap, and we were lucky enough to capture footage ...more
We had a special week at Drum Cottage. It is located remotely in a truly magical setting. The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival, beds are super comfy with crisp fresh linens, and fluffy towels. We saw red squirrels, buzzards, a red kite, and lots of birds in the garden. When we had a small issue, the housekeeper was very prompt to respond and it was resolved quickly which was excellent. I’d highly recommend a stay here, beautiful cottage, glorious setting with incredible views.
What a wonderful and comfy place to spend your holiday. The views and grounds are lovely. We have loved our time here and are already looking forward to our return for Christmas and the New Year. Even Storm Amy did not detract from our stay. The wonderful Donny and Andrea came to the rescue when we lost power and started the generator. Hey presto power and zero inconvenience. Brilliant. We must give a special shout out to Donny & Andrea they have been fantastic. Very welcoming, happy to have a chat and help out in any way to make our stay memorable. We used Speyside Kitchens who provided exce...more
Just returned from a weeks stay at Coorie Lodge. We travelled as a family group of 4 adults, a 5yr old and our 2 small dogs. The house is furnished to a high standard and very spacious. The kitchen is large and well equipped, the log fire in the living room was great on the colder nights ( logs supplied) and good to have a games area in the garage too . Beds were super comfy and both of the larger bedrooms have smart TVs but the smaller bunk room does not a TV . The house has a huge wrap around balcony with access from both the living room and dining area. The balcony offers lovely views ov...more
Writing to say thank you. We had 15 adults and 16 kids (ages 3 to 10) and found Gulabin Lodge an excellent experience to have such a gathering. The house and grounds provide ample space for games for the children. The kitchen was well stocked. The firepit was a hit and captivated everyone. We were in easy reach of local walks. Nothing was a problem for Helen and Tim and they created a relaxed atmosphere for us to have a wonderful weekend.
Great location and perfect place to stay in the Highlands. Spotlessly clean and perfectly decorated. We loved it and can’t wait to come back.
Stables Cottage is very comfortable and very well appointed. The owners have thought of everything one might want in a holiday cottage. We particularly loved sitting in front of the log burner on cold evenings looking out at the stars. Its location could not be better either - right on the edge of the forest - perfect for long walks. The only issue we had was that we found the property had not been fully cleaned before our arrival. However GNL were quick to apologise and provide a suitable remedy when we contacted them. We would, therefore, happily stay in this or other GNL properties in fut...more
We loved everything! The wee bridge crossing the river was an amazing welcome. The hot tub was fantastic, very relaxing and well maintained. Outside chairs with the heat lamps are great to sit outside in the fresh crisp air. The location is great to walk into the shops/pubs but yet secluded enough that you never seen/heard anyone. Added bonus the we got snow falling on the last morning which was beautiful. We are already looking to rebook this lodge again for next year.
A lovely house in fabulous surroundings. This was our 2nd stay 15 years later and the house is even more lovely after the extension. We had relaxing family time and the children loved the wildlife right outside the windows.
Lovely cottage, beautiful views, great location for Caingorms and woodland Loch walks. We enjoyed the hot tub and the log burning stove in the living room. Comfy mattresses. The enclosed garden was great for dogs and children.
We rented The Lodge and The Garden Cottage together for a special birthday family gathering. We ranged in age from 8 months to 78 years, and the venue and the location were perfect - comfortable and spacious, in an area bursting with outdoor activity opportunities
Great little cottage/lodge for amazing family time getaway together. Has been updated and refreshed from when we were last here in 2022 and it’s all the better for it. Very cozy with wood burning stove new shower room and en-suite in main bedroom. Nice little friendly bar on site also. What more do you need?
Beautiful cottage in a very tranquil location. We had a great stay in the cottage, everything that you could need and more. We spent most of our evenings enjoying the pool table and the darts board. The weather was very kind which always makes the holiday even better.
Thoroughly great stay at the Old Ministers house with family recently. Location is excellent and the house is really well set up for a large group. We will most definitely be back!
We had an excellent stay. The house was really well equipped and in a perfect location with easy access to both forest walks and Nethy Bridge’s local amenities like the cafe and farm shop. The house was warm and cosy and Audra and owner Jen went above and beyond in ensuring we had a very relaxing time during a much needed break. We would definitely return.
Fabulous house with everything you would need. Owners were very helpful and lovely to deal with! Would stay again!
My family and I had the best time a 2 Queens. House ..Lovely house finished to an high standard with everything you need provided even robes for the hot tub and sauna , Would highly recommend:..great location just a short walk to loch Morlich…
Comfortable home in a great location in Aviemore. There was 4 adults in our party and there was plenty of space for all of us and our dog. Hot tub was great and coming inside after an evening dip to a toasty living room with the log burner was a real treat. Hope to come back again in the future
Would have been nice to have a welcome pack and cleaning items/kitchen items (no foil/dishwashing cloth/scourer/bin bags etc). A very enjoyable stay overall
This was our second visit to Reindeer House since June. The property is very well equipped, comfortable and in a great location for lots of walks, loch visits and golf. We really relax here and the house is really homely and comfortable and the views are fabulous. We had sunny days and starry nights in the hot tub. The dog loved the garden and the birds on the feeders kept us entertained. Can recommend.
Had an absolutely amazing stay at The Neuk. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Was great fun having the hot tub and ping pong table and amazing having the hot tub on and ready for our arrival! The beds were extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed, was a great spacious house. The dealings with the company and owners was also very helpful, providing a speedy response to any queries had and being very accommodating. Overall a fantastic stay had at this wonderful property!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Station cottage. It was a well equipped, beautifully maintained and extremely comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully set out for a relaxing stay. We would love to return sometime. The staff at Great North Lodges managed to sort out our dates for us, by starting our stay Saturday to Saturday.
Stayed with my family (2 adults + 2 kids under 5 years old). Really confortable and clean. Everything worked well. Clear instructions. Excelent location. Fully equiped, including some dish soap, extra garbage bag. (Only didn't include extra toilet paper, salt/olive oil.) I would stay here again!! Fully recommend.
The house was well equipped and although off the a9 was vey quite. Had a lovely outlook out the and a Lovely walk into Main Street only 15/20 mins.
We gathered as a family to celebrate grandad’s 80th and found everything we wanted. Beautiful surroundings, plenty space and lots to occupy us even without travelling elsewhere. Table tennis, snooker and table football in the brilliant games room. TV, board games etc inside and a spacious cooking and dining area for celebratory meal (and cake!). The large windows in all the rooms meant lovely views in all directions.
The property was in a very convenient location for exploring all round the Highlands - use the Google map to locate when first arriving If arriving in the dark like us, would be good to have a lit up sign for the house driveway and over the key box Quality of some cooking equipment - baking trays, roasting dish poor and very old - take your own or use foil to ensure food taste not tarnished Oven seal was broken so oven performance perhaps not so good Some cooking utensils missing which would have been better if present Heating was weird - lovely and warm by morning but cold in the evening...more
We had a wonderful stay as an extended family of 7 staying at spey cottage. The house had everything we needed, it was cosy and the stove and wood was a real treat to warm up after an autumn day. The cottage was a perfect size, and location was perfect. We loved being able to walk to many amenities and was very quiet despite being beside a railway line. The only downside for us was that there were aspects of housekeeping that were overlooked. There was a broken glass bowl in a drawer in the kitchen. All the broken parts had been placed in a different bowl but I suspect all drawers were not c...more
Stunning views; wonderful countryside to roam with our dog; comfortable house (though soundproofing not the best). Service was great and responsive (hot tub maintenance and other small housekeeping issues); Perhaps the best house we have ever rented for a week. I will definitely want to return one day.
We booked our stay as a treat for our honeymoon with our two young kids. Unfortunately due to a storm we were left with no electricity. While we understand that this is out with the control of the owners the running water is pumped by an electric pump and it meant that for the first nearly 24 hours we had no running water as well as electricity and as had to vacate the property for an entire day. When we reached out regarding this we feel we have been let down with no adequate resolution and ourselves out of pocket. As a result we would not recommend this property
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Black Grouse Lodge the house had everything to cater for all ages a trampoline, hot tub, a good variety of board games. The house was beautifully situated, the views with a morning coffee from the balcony were simply breathtaking! It was a short walk into Aviemore and a short drive to gorgeous walks. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean and well organised. We will definitely return!
We had a wonderful time in Langrick, the house is lovely and comfortable with so much space! Thanks a lot!
Lodge was as advertised. Asked for help to put on heating and electrician arrived within 30 mins. Fab
Loved the look of this when browsing North Lodges site, however the pictures do not do it justice. The property is very spacious and has EVERYTHING you thought you needed and then some. The owners have thoughtfully included everything in the rental. Sky Sports and free WiFi are included. The kitchen had simply everything you could need and all utensils etc were spotless. The Lounge is huge with a great outlook. There are various nooks and crannies to sit in the garden, a Hot Tub, log burners in the lounge & bedroom along with a great supply of logs, matches firelighters kindling..............t...more
The lodge on the surface is nice, cosy and welcoming, wouldn’t like to stay there in the summer as it gets very little natural sunlight, but for a winter or Autumn break it was totally fine.
We had a peaceful stay at Wolf Lodge. It has cool alpine vibes. The log burner soon makes the room nice and cozy. We were able to cook some delicious meals in the kitchen. The sauna was amazing and on the clear nights the stars were beautiful from the hot tub.
Great location but sadly the property is in desperate need of a deep clean and refurbishment. Issues raised by previous guests haven't been addressed 6 months later which shows the lack of genuine care to the paying customer.
Well equipped home with great layout and plenty of space but upon arrival it was clear it wasnt the cleanest GNL I've stayed in and there's been a few so that was disappointing. Crumbs in cupboard, clumps of fluff and outside debris in en suite, coffee granules in coffee pot, L shaped couch needs cushions removed and hoovered and also pulled out and hoovered underneath. Bedrooms were perfect apart from Master suite mattress needs an upgrade. As does the tv which kept losing signal. Welcome pack was beautiful, the coffee and jam especially, are delicious. Hot tub, of course, epic however we had...more
