We all had a terrific time at Muckrach house as it is such a wonderful place. Decoration is fantastic, facilities outstanding and the beds were super comfortable. There were 6 children with us and they didn’t want to leave. All in all, we thoroughly the house.
We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage in Scotland. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The lawn area was perfect for relaxing—we spent several evenings sitting outside with a glass of wine, soaking in the tranquility. It truly felt like a private escape, far from other houses and completely serene. One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife right in the garden! We had a special week at Drum Cottage. It is located remotely in a truly magical setting. The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival, beds are super comfy with crisp fresh linens, and fluffy towels. We saw red squirrels, buzzards, a red kite, and lots of birds in the garden. When we had a small issue, the housekeeper was very prompt to respond and it was resolved quickly which was excellent. I’d highly recommend a stay here, beautiful cottage, glorious setting with incredible views.
Had a fantastic break with my family to celebrate a 70th birthday.The accommodation was fantastic, kids enjoyed the beds in the wee nooks and crannies. Kitchen was fully equipped. The hot tub and sauna was a lovely addition to the house and we all enjoyed it. We would certainly have no hesitation to book it again and would recommend it to all our friends and family.
What a wonderful and comfy place to spend your holiday. The views and grounds are lovely. We have loved our time here and are already looking forward to our return for Christmas and the New Year. Coorie Lodge Superb!! We stayed for Christmas 2025 and our only disappointment was discovering that the lodge was already booked for Christmas the following year when we went to check availability. We’ve stayed in various GNL properties, and will again, but we found this one to be impeccably clean; even down to the fresh vacuum lines on the couches and headboards. We don’t go looking for stuff like this but we did note the extra effort that had gone into making this lodge stay truly above and beyond. Writing to say thank you. We had 15 adults and 16 kids (ages 3 to 10) and found Gulabin Lodge an excellent experience to have such a gathering. The house and grounds provide ample space for games for the children. The kitchen was well stocked. The firepit was a hit and captivated everyone. We were in easy reach of local walks. Nothing was a problem for Helen and Tim and they created a relaxed atmosphere for us to have a wonderful weekend.
Great location and perfect place to stay in the Highlands. Spotlessly clean and perfectly decorated. We loved it and can’t wait to come back.
Our fourth year spending the build up to Christmas at beaver creek - it feels like a second home to us now. We love that it doesn't change much, its so comforting to us, especially given that all 3 of us have autism! It just feels so cosy and everything in it feels like it's been collected and added over the years. It's the most stunning lodge and not pretentious at all, it's homely and sweet. Stables Cottage is very comfortable and very well appointed. The owners have thought of everything one might want in a holiday cottage. We particularly loved sitting in front of the log burner on cold evenings looking out at the stars. Its location could not be better either - right on the edge of the forest - perfect for long walks. The only issue we had was that we found the property had not been fully cleaned before our arrival. However GNL were quick to apologise and provide a suitable remedy when we contacted them. A lovely house in fabulous surroundings. This was our 2nd stay 15 years later and the house is even more lovely after the extension. We had relaxing family time and the children loved the wildlife right outside the windows.
Lovely cottage, beautiful views, great location for Caingorms and woodland Loch walks. We enjoyed the hot tub and the log burning stove in the living room. Comfy mattresses. The enclosed garden was great for dogs and children.

We rented The Lodge and The Garden Cottage together for a special birthday family gathering. We ranged in age from 8 months to 78 years, and the venue and the location were perfect - comfortable and spacious, in an area bursting with outdoor activity opportunities
Family get together for xmas ,six adults five children .Accomadation met all of our needs bedrooms good size with own bathrooms and comfy beds. Kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of crockery etc. Ideal location for Aviemore and cafe and shop next door.
We had an excellent stay. The house was really well equipped and in a perfect location with easy access to both forest walks and Nethy Bridge’s local amenities like the cafe and farm shop. The house was warm and cosy and Audra and owner Jen went above and beyond in ensuring we had a very relaxing time during a much needed break. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful family gathering over the new year. Easy walking distance both into Aviemore and to the Escape rooms. Easy drive or bus to the Loch Morlich. Wonderful walks all around.
We had a lovely stay at Feshiebridge Cottage for Christmas 2025. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location is excellent, with options for walks right out of the door. The driveway is a wee bit challenging in icy conditions and quite neat for two cars, but we got used to it. Overall I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the Cairngorms.
Had an absolutely amazing stay at The Neuk. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Was great fun having the hot tub and ping pong table and amazing having the hot tub on and ready for our arrival! The beds were extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed, was a great spacious house. The dealings with the company and owners was also very helpful, providing a speedy response to any queries had and being very accommodating. Overall a fantastic stay had at this wonderful property!
My family and I had a wonderful time at Station Cottage last week. It was like a home from home with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. The wood burner was an added bonus and we felt very cosy with it on in the evenings. The village is beautiful, as is the surrounding area and the butchers shop almost next door and the premier shop just up the road came in really handy. We had a great stay and found the hot tub to be one of the best we have experienced. Loved the birds and squirrels and the walks directly from the door. Couple of minor things that need addressed as part of any upgrade plan, 1. A sign from the main road would be helpful 2. Some of the pans don’t work on the induction hob 3. The sofa needs replaced
The house was well equipped and although off the a9 was vey quite. Had a lovely outlook out the and a Lovely walk into Main Street only 15/20 mins.
The family spent a highly enjoyable week during early November at stunning Baddengorm Lodge. The property is very spacious, with many distinctive touches, comfortable and well equipped. The setting in particular was just beautiful and has very private grounds with woodland, stream and even its own Lochan. One week was simply not long enough to enjoy all that the property and surrounding area has to offer.
Master bed was very flimsy and not the most comfortable, kitchen was very good and clean, very spacious, close to shops, overall a nice stay
We stayed at Rivercroft in the Cairngorms and had a genuinely outstanding christmas. The setting is simply stunning—situated right by the river, it feels peaceful and secluded while still being the perfect base for exploring the area. Waking up to the surrounding scenery was simply amazing, and the nights skys were extraordinary. The wildlife was a real highlight. We saw wild deer nearby, and at one point we watched two kites circling and flying around overhead, which was unforgettable and made the whole stay feel even more special. This is the third time we have stayed here for the week over the New Year, and will be coming back next year to stay again this Christmas in 2026. The Lodge has everything you need and is in a great location in the centre of Carrbridge. Plenty of seating for a large family (there was 7 of us) and very comfortable. We're always there in the winter and despite the cold outside it's warm inside! Stunning views; wonderful countryside to roam with our dog; comfortable house (though soundproofing not the best). Service was great and responsive (hot tub maintenance and other small housekeeping issues); Perhaps the best house we have ever rented for a week. I will definitely want to return one day.
Great location, kitchen was well equipped. Would be nice if there was a few store cupboard basics like sugar and a bit of tea and coffee would have been nice.
We booked our stay as a treat for our honeymoon with our two young kids. Unfortunately due to a storm we were left with no electricity. While we understand that this is out with the control of the owners the running water is pumped by an electric pump and it meant that for the first nearly 24 hours we had no running water as well as electricity and as had to vacate the property for an entire day. When we reached out regarding this we feel we have been let down with no adequate resolution and ourselves out of pocket. As a result we would not recommend this property
We had a lovely stay at Langrick. A well equipped, cosy property in a gorgeous location. The fire was wonderful!
Loved our stay here, fabulous property, only issue was several old cobwebs and dust in areas that were obviously being overlooked when cleaning and the vacuum cleaner wasn’t leaving the carpets clean. The lounge carpet wasn’t clean when we arrived and after several attempts to clean it ourselves there was still dog hair from previous occupants left on the carpet. Deep clean and new vacuum capable of picking up dog hair recommend.
Great service and information from Great North Lodges. House was easy to find and in a beautiful location. The house had everything we needed and plenty of space which let kids have some space of their own. Beds were extremely comfortable and bedrooms were all of a good size. We had a problem with the heating but this was rectified within an hour or so. Hot tub was the icing on the cake, great after a day out in the cold. Welcome pack was fabulous.
Brilliant location in the foothills of the cairngorms. Great for a family holiday or gathering. It's was renovated and updated for an owner with plenty of money and the quality shows. Beautiful garden with stunning views from living room. Many birds visit the bird feeders, house very warm with log burners and logs always available. We had a great time and will be back soon.

Family of 7 stayed at Four Pines Lodge over Christmas. We all found it very comfortable, the Christmas tree was really pretty, hot tub was enjoyed. There was plenty of space for all of us and everything we could need, nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable which makes a nice change in a holiday home! There was a couple of little tiny issues, like we didn't have hot water and no instructions on how to turn it on, but a quick call and the property manager was super friendly and helpful and sorted it for us. We had a peaceful stay at Wolf Lodge. It has cool alpine vibes.The log burner soon makes the room nice and cozy. We were able to cook some delicious meals in the kitchen. The sauna was amazing and on the clear nights the stars were beautiful from the hot tub.
We stayed at the salmon run over Christmas 2025 which is why I have marked down value for money due to higher rates over festive period. The location was perfect, many great walks and easy access to town, winter wonderland, beautiful frosty mornings and hot tub was fantastic. Sauna temperature was not very warm so we didn't unfortunately make use of it during our stay. Inside the accommodation, when we did not have the fire on was cold, perhaps the fire affected the thermostats on the heaters which meant the bedrooms were below 16 degrees overnight.
