We all had a terrific time at Muckrach house as it is such a wonderful place. Decoration is fantastic, facilities outstanding and the beds were super comfortable. There were 6 children with us and they didn’t want to leave. All in all, we thoroughly the house.
We have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Cairngorm Cottage. The property is immaculate and finished to a very high standard. We are already thinking about booking up again for next year. Anyone who is staying will need their own car to get out and about. All seven of us would highly recommend staying here again.
We stayed for a long weekend in Stables Cottage and will definitely be looking to come back! The house was beautiful, cosy, and clean. The kitchen was really well equipped and there were few basics such as tea and coffee that were much appreciated. The outdoor space is fantastic and we enjoyed having a coffee on the balcony on a chilly autumn morning!
Well we have now been to Coorie Lodge 4 years running. We love Coorie lodge as it’s beautiful inside & has everything required for spending a day indoors or being cosy at night. We had never stayed in autumn before & wow the colours were fantastic. We stay as a family & this year had an addition of a dog & again house is perfect as amazing garage to store bikes & hang clothes up & dry dogs. We have already booked again for next summer & our sons super excited already. You can cycle straight onto cycle paths, walk into aviemore for shops or walk to Loch Vaa.
This was our second stay at Glenmore Lodge. It is a lovely property and furnished to a luxurious level. It has everything that you would require for your holiday. On entry the Lodge was spotless and wonderfully clean. The icing on the cake was the provision of an illuminated and decorated Christmas tree which added an extra sparkle. We must thank the staff that clean and care for Glenmore Lodge for the extraordinary job they do.
Writing to say thank you. We had 15 adults and 16 kids (ages 3 to 10) and found Gulabin Lodge an excellent experience to have such a gathering. The house and grounds provide ample space for games for the children. The kitchen was well stocked. The firepit was a hit and captivated everyone. We were in easy reach of local walks. Nothing was a problem for Helen and Tim and they created a relaxed atmosphere for us to have a wonderful weekend.
We had a wonderful week staying at Kirkstone Lodge and enjoyed everything it has to offer. The kitchen is very well equipped and along with the large bbq outside made cooking easy. We had a supermarket delivery arranged for an hr after arrival to stock up. The lounge has a great view and was a lovely place to relax with plenty of seating, and the WiFi worked well to keep the teens happy. The hot tub was also very relaxing and a great addition along with the sauna. The provision of a travel cot and high chair was great for our 1yr old and with a dog in tow as well the large enclosed garden ...more
12 of us stayed over 3 nights and was fantastic. Communication prior to stay was excellent. On arrival it was clean and well appointed. The house and garden area was lovely with beautiful view. The suite at the rear was particularly impressive. Lovely hot tub area and the fairly lights a nice touch. Great location for exploring and adventures. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
A really lovely lodge in a top setting. Loved the sound of the river and the Christmas decorations were great. Excellent attention to detail throughout. Highly recommend.
We had the best stay at Balvattan Farmhouse. The house is beautiful and extremely well equipped, it had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. A real home away from home! There was a minor issue with the central heating, however, both the owner and GNL were in touch to advise me about. The owner had also gone out of his way to organise portable radiators until the following day when an engineer came promptly. This was handled really well by both the owner and GNL and did not impact our stay at all. We will 100% return to Balvattan.
We stayed at the Speysuide Suite for a long weekend - the cottage is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Great views from the lounge windows and convenient for touring the area. I will say though that the bed is defintely not a super king size - it is very short - but other than that it is excellent.
This was our second stay at Glenfeshie and it was just wonderful! The house is just stunning and so comfortable. They have thought of everything and the setting is beautiful. We will definitely be booking again.
Fabulous house with everything you would need. Owners were very helpful and lovely to deal with! Would stay again!
This is our second stay at Reindeer house and again we had a great holiday. The wood burning stove and hot tub are great to come back to after a day out walking in the hills. It’s great for anyone with dogs as you are straight into the woods and the property has an enclosed garden. The bird feeders attract a wide range of birds and red squirrels and the views across to the Cairngorms are great. The house is warm, comfortable and well equipped. I would definitely recommend Reindeer house
Have been visiting Aviemore since 1979. Stayed in different accomadation and have returned to some as they were good. Bynack was excellent everything you needed very clean and comfortable and a excellent location to everything. Will definitely return.
We had the pleasure of spending Christmas in FeshieBridge Cottage and didn't want to come home. The house is spacious and luxurious and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The location is perfect and very peaceful with amazing walks right from the doorstep and bird watching from the kitchen window. It was great to have the addition of the games' room and the hot tub and a special treat to be able to use the hobbit house to BBQ steak and toast smores on Christmas Eve. The house is really well equipped with quality mugs and glasses and was warm and cosy with the two log burners and unde...more
Station Cottage is a lovely place to stay in a great location. It has character and is well kitted out with good quality furniture and a cosy wood burning stove for those cold evenings. We have stayed there twice now and will return again.
We were a group of 14 adults and 4 kids and the house was perfect for us. Those is well equipped, very comfortable and great for big groups , the dining room table was our congregation place, ideal for long meals and board games. Hot tub was a treat and huge garden for our energetic lab. Pub next door was very friendly and they even sang me happy birthday! Our only minor complaint would be that the water pressure was very low which meant that showers were challenging for such a large group.
Our second visit to Forest Trail Lodge, we were so lucky with the weather this time round. We were able to see the house at its best and made the most of the trails from the front door. The house has a lovely flow, the rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. The garden is enclosed which kept our little dog safe. A lovely selection of welcome gifts was provided, thank you. We would highly recommend the Nethy Bridge cafe and the Balliefurth Farm shop/ butchers (a short walk away) Thank you, we can't wait to return!
House was very clean. However, a few negatives, there was an unpleasant damp smell in downstairs bedroom/ensuite and evidence of dampness on the wall! House was cold when we arrived but didn’t take long to heat up, gentleman came to replace a bulb for lamp in sitting area while we were there. Perhaps this and heating switched on before our arrival would have been better. A few little homely touches like washing up liquid, salt pepper and a few basics would make a huge difference. Apart from this and overall we had a wonderful weekend.
Stayed at Bennachie now for quite a few years love the house and location, inside very tired looking
We were a family grouping of 7 adults and all found the house very comfortable. It is in a perfect location. The highlights are the kitchen and hot tub. The outside area was the best set up we have seen. Would be very happy to return.
We love staying in greater Aviemore area and specifically the Boat of Garten, and this is our favourite place to stay so far! Stunning lodge with loads of space inside and out! Large gardens, lots of birds (very worthwhile feeding them) and other wildlife, even a red squirrel made an appearance. The lodge provides great views of the Cairngorm mountain range, which we were lucky to be snow capped for most of our stay. There are fabulous walks for the dogs from the door and would highly recommend the village pub and restaurant. The lodge is well equipped, spacious and the living space is superb....more
Property was nicely located and interior layout was good but towels left for us were stained, hot water only came on once a day meaning there was little to no hot water left after breakfast dishes had been washed, also meant by the evening you were washing your hands in cold water which was less than ideal. No control over the heating meant bedrooms were often cold at night by the time people were going to bed. Dishes were all poorly washed and had to be re-cleaned before use upon arrival. As well as only half the oven being functional which we weren’t warned about before arrival. Also disap...more
Aviemore itself is a beautiful place and the location of the lodge helps get to any trails, hike routes and other breathtaking natural sites with ease. There's plenty of space in the lodge, it's got great heating which is accessed by a single thermostat right at the entrance. The hot tub was amazing and has been used on an almost daily basis. The kitchen was very well equiped, had great cooking facilities, easy to use hob and oven and generally had lots of storage space. The living room was comfortable with great couches, a big tv, some lovely decor, the wifi had decent speed and plenty...more
3 generations stayed at Rivercroft and there was something for everyone. The house was well equipped, modern and fit for a family. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather and our 4 year old loved the playing in the garden and the woods behind the property. Great value for money and attentive service from beginning to end. Thank you
We are a family of 6 adults and 2 young children and the accommodation suited us perfectly. The view over the river Spey is stunning especially in autumn and it is a lovely walk from the Croft along the riverbank. The house is very clean and well equipped providing everything you need. Beds are extremely comfortable and the log burner makes it very cosy. An added bonus is the hot tub and fire pit which we all enjoyed. Pretty Boat of Garten with its shop, hotel and excellent Andersons restaurant are within walking distance although part of the walk is on the road with no pavement or lights. ...more
Lovely cosy and comfortable house - very well equipped kitchen, sky tv, play station. Great location backing on to the river. 5 minute walk over the railway footbridge or through the tunnel to the centre of Aviemore . Outside space is lovely with a super decking although garden could benefit from a gate so that children or animals can’t get to the river but this can’t an issue for us this time.
Our families had a magical time at Badengorm. The location is stunning and our grandchildren had freedom to explore and play by the burn and also space within the lodge to do their own thing. The games room is a bonus...the snooker table was well used by the adults. However as other reviewers have mentioned space is limited in the kitchen area and we found a blackened pan on arrival. We loved Badengorm but the sofas were not comfy!!! As a family of 10...everyone asked me to mention the seating. We only used them of an evening as there is so much to see and do in this superb setting...however....more
Second year I have stayed in BGL with friends and already booked for next year We go to relax, catch up and enjoy the spacious house and hot tub. Great that 3 of the 4 bedrooms are en suites which saves any queues!!. House lovely and warm, especially when log fire lit Smart TV to watch Xmas movies via Netflix etc. Would have been nice to have some Xmas decorations up. Maybe next year Car required if you want to get around or replenish your groceries at Tesco. Overall perfect stay ❤️
Very clean and comfortable only thing could not get telly to work in small living room could get Netflix and prime but not ordinary telly programs Could duvet covers fit the duvets sometimes you had the cover and no duvet other than that everything was fine Could a sign of Langrick but on the main get
The pictures do not do this place justice and it is even more stunning in person. It is incredibly homely and has a very welcoming feel and gorgeous layout and features. The location is just perfect. We did not want to leave and could have stayed there forever. Our dogs loved the freedom of the secure large garden and patio areas and loved watching the birds and wildlife through the living room windows for hours. The only issue we had was no hot water for showers and the central heating was coming on in the middle of the night making it too hot to sleep. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay an...more
We are regular visitors to Aviemore and have stayed in a few holiday homes and Bracken House did not disappoint. Great location with a great space for 7 of us and our dog. The hot tub was an added benefit and would recommend to others.
The property is in an amazing location. Close to Aviemore and Grantown on Spey by car. The views surrounding the property are stunning and the garden is just amazing. The hot tub and the fire pit in the back court are fantastic additional features . The beds are really comfortable. Things that could have been improved I felt like the cleaning could have been better there were a lot of cobwebs around and the attic room in particular really needed a good clean. There were bulbs missing from lamps in the living room. Some of the brackets attaching kitchen cupboards were loose and the bins hadn’...more
The Cabin was ever so sweet, all decorated for Santa coming, very comfortable, clean and cosy. We did enjoy our stay. We did have a problem on Xmas eve when the remote control for fire would not work, my daughters went out and purchased a battery and all was good ... then on boxing day evening we tired to turn fire down and the remote would not work again! we could not understand why this happened as we had only just replaced battery... not knowing what to do we tired to call housekeeping and maintenance ... we could not get an answer... we tired batteries that were in the drawer , eventu...more
Myself and the family had a wonderful time spending Christmas at the lodge, spacious place for 10 people and decent kitchen facilities to cater for a festive feast. The host was easy to contact and readily available to help. There were a few functional issues with the hot tub and showers but these were rectified immediately. Lovely location with skiing, beautiful scenery and local towns nearby. Was a christmas to remember
really lovely stay at Wolf Lodge, great location. We stayed for a week of cycling and its located next to lots of amazing cycle paths. the sauna and hot tub were great. We were three people and it would be a bit cramped for any more.
Overall cleanliness fairly poor. Issue with shower in main toilet, taps loose and difficult to operate as a result. Several lights inoperable. Small sofa inviting area needs replaced, very uncomfortable. Hot tub, supply of logs, size of kitchen and location all positive however.
