Lovely cottage, well equipped and comfortable. (But need drinks coasters as we had to use the table mats on the bedside tables). Excellent location and the short steep walk made us fitter by the end of the week! Will definitely book again. Thank you.
Literally 2 minutes walk to beach, with a view of the surf from the main bedroom. Well equipped kitchen for preparing food to eat outside on the picnic bench in the back garden. Nice and private. Bar and pub a less than 5 minutes walk away. We would definitely come back for another stay.
We had a very enjoyable stay at April cottage and we were lucky enough to extend our stay for an extra couple of weeks. The cottage has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The cottage has a small court yard garden and there are plenty of lovely places nearby to walk dogs. This property is on the roadside but we were never disturbed or noticed any traffic noise. There is a free car park across the road and a bus stop on the corner so this makes things very accessible.
Excellent base for touring all over Cornwall. Well furnished and comfortable- warm and cosy and constant hot water. Access to garden attached to main house another bonus. Well supplied with information to make the most of holiday. Easy access to beach via footpath. Welcome pack.
The house was beautifully presented, clean and tidy, with everything we needed for a home-from-home stay - and the homemade biscuits were delicious! The large enclosed garden made it ideal for our dogs, which is always a bonus. The location was perfect for us, having plenty of parking and being quiet and peaceful but not isolated. It’s 5 minutes walk down the hill into St Mawes, for easy access to all amenities and walks/ferries from there. Our aim was to get out & about without using the car and this was easily achieved but it’s also easy to reach other places from here. We would highly r...more
My husband and I had the most magical stay with our two dogs at the Crugsillick Studio. It was extremely comfortable and clean, and we were very grateful for a totally secure and enclosed garden area for our dogs. We walked to the beach almost every day through beautiful woodland and couldn’t believe how few other people we encountered. The beach was stunning, as were the other local beaches we explored. We also found several dog-friendly pubs and restaurants with delicious food. We will definitely be back as we had a fantastic time and there is lots more we want to see.
The pictures on the website are accurate. This is a lovely apartment in a perfect location . Heating and hot water are important especially at this time of year, and they were excellent . Well equipped, very comfortable. The sun lounge area with sea views was lovely. The owners were really nice, and available if needed. We saw dolphins from the lounge, did lots of walking, used the ferry, ate out at the local pub, and generally had an excellent time. The narrow roads in St Mawes needed to be driven with caution, but this is a delightful cornish village. We would definitely recommend.
Lovely, well equipped place and I like a supportive bed but honestly, it was like sleeping on concrete. For that reason I would not return and could not recommend it. It just needs a 2" mattress topper.
No1 is compact but fully equipped suitable for 2 guests. It's only a few minutes walk down to the harbour front, cafes and shops. It would benefit from a dining table. The owner was very quick to respond when we had a query. I would recommend it for a short stay.
Fantastic location, cottage has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. With The Lugger & The Ship as close neighbours it really is the perfect place to enjoy Portloe & the stunning Roseland Penisula.
