From start to finish, the experience of hosting our wedding and guests at Muckrach was perfect. We wanted a small intimate occasion with close family and friends and Muckrach gave us the luxurious surroundings to achieve this, and enjoy! The house is spotlessly clean and the ground floor flows through different rooms providing plenty space for everyone to be together in a beautiful old building with a mix of traditional and modern. A long weekend with family (in lieu of Christmas presents) couldn't have been better with such a beautiful place to stay. Very comfortable throughout, beautifully presented and would happily return week after week!..... as would all the other family members!
We booked. Monday to Friday stay at the Scots Pine. We absolutely love The Hollies Retreats and the beautiful farm shop and barn. The self check in and check out was easy - absolutely nothing to do except turn up and start enjoying your stay. Beautifully furnished with style. One thing that was missing was a cafetière for my multiple cups of coffee in the morning although a pod machine was available so this was just preference for me. Can’t wait to go back hopefully won’t be too long before our next stay.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hollies Retreat in the Highlands. The location is truly stunning, with breathtaking views in every direction, it’s the perfect place to switch off and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The accommodation itself was spotless, exceptionally comfortable, and finished to a very high standard. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, making it a really relaxing and peaceful place to stay. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, high quality, and surrounded by incredible scenery, this is an ideal choice. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.
This was our first stay in the Cairngorm cottage since being renovated and it did not disappoint. The new conversion was just stunning with beautiful furnishings. We arrived to a warm and festive welcome with a gorgeous Christmas tree which was a lovely touch. A wonderful location with everything close by to meet your needs. Been to The Hollies many times and theSpeyside suite remains an excellent choice for a self catering holiday.
From the initial contact for booking, to leaving, everything was first class! Superb location with everything to hand and an unrivalled Farm Shop to tempt all. Despite the Shop being extremely busy, it was so peaceful in and around the Lodge, and the Hot Tub was perfect. Already planning the next trip!
A wonderful couple of nights at The Stay, immaculate room, very comfortable & plenty of space in the room. Ideal location for all our requirements. The staff were very friendly & helpful, would highly recommend & hope to return again soon. Thanks to Andy regarding the booking, very helpful.

An idiots guide to using the TV i.e. there were 5 remotes on the table An idiots guide top using the microwave. The Hollies literature indicates parking for two cars.These parking bays need to be defined
Service at check in was dreadful. We were not provided with key code and when we got help we were treated rudely. It was as if we were trying to fake a booking. The lady insisted on going through my emails from hollies and even though she had laptop which she could surely have confirmed my booking which was already paid for
Beautiful lodge, furnished to a high standard absolutely everything you could need for a stay . Very clean, infact spotless. When driving up to the grand fir I thought the other lodges were close but infact I never heard anyone else, it truly did feel secluded. Sat in the hot tub listening to birdsong, so relaxing .Easy walk to the farm shop which had everything and more and just a short drive to many attractions.
We had another fabulous stay at Hollies. Even the weather was great! Looking forward to our next visit!
We stayed here for the half term week with our 6 year old Grandson. His positives were the hot tub, garden, the very large TV, loved the farm shop treats and the Christmas tree he could see out of the window. When asked if he would stay again, he added, I love this lodge. High praise indeed from a 6 year old! The adults enjoyed all the facilities, everything that we needed was available. The farm shop. Shop and takeaway. The only feedback we could offer is a brighter light above the dining table, it was difficult to compete our puzzle!
