We had our wedding at Muckrach Country House, as an exclusive use venue. They were easy to work with, communicative and accommodating - we booked the venue 4 months before our wedding day! Jozsef was very friendly and helpful when organising our day, and very knowledgable about the running of the house. We felt in safe hands. A long weekend with family (in lieu of Christmas presents) couldn't have been better with such a beautiful place to stay. Very comfortable throughout, beautifully presented and would happily return week after week!..... as would all the other family members!
Beautiful lodge. My 5 th visit but first time in the Scott’s pine. Only 2 issues the bedroom with sky light needs a blind. There was some broken glass out on the patio my granddaughter found
Wow, wow, wow- what an incredible stay! We stayed in March as part of a birthday celebration with 8 adults and a one year old and we were all blown away with the staycation! The location was a wonderful setting, with highland cows roaming free not even a 2 minute walk from the lodge our son had a ball watching them, and the back of the lodge faces onto a field where sheep roaming free- this was his favourite morning spot!! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hollies Retreat in the Highlands. The location is truly stunning, with breathtaking views in every direction, it’s the perfect place to switch off and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The accommodation itself was spotless, exceptionally comfortable, and finished to a very high standard. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, making it a really relaxing and peaceful place to stay. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, high quality, and surrounded by incredible scenery, this is an ideal choice. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Been to The Hollies many times and theSpeyside suite remains an excellent choice for a self catering holiday.
Had a lovely stay for my husband birthday with our grown up children. Lodge was lovely but starting to show signs of wear and tear. Fantastic location, close by to some nice restaurants, Pesto and Fox and Barrel. On arrival at lodge self check in, the lodge only provides one key feel two are required as there was six adults in the lodge and everyone doing activities in the day. There was also no shampoo in any of the bathrooms. You can pay extra for bathrobes, but I personally believe this should be supplied and disposable slippers, to make it feel more luxury when using the hot tub. Y...more
A wonderful couple of nights at The Stay, immaculate room, very comfortable & plenty of space in the room. Ideal location for all our requirements. The staff were very friendly & helpful, would highly recommend & hope to return again soon. Thanks to Andy regarding the booking, very helpful.

An idiots guide to using the TV i.e. there were 5 remotes on the table An idiots guide top using the microwave. The Hollies literature indicates parking for two cars.These parking bays need to be defined
Service at check in was dreadful. We were not provided with key code and when we got help we were treated rudely. It was as if we were trying to fake a booking. The lady insisted on going through my emails from hollies and even though she had laptop which she could surely have confirmed my booking which was already paid for
This was my third stay at the Hollies Retreats and my second in Grand Fir. I love it! I live in the area, but my grandchildren (who are not young) live in Derbyshire, so it’s great to be able to take them somewhere that is so beautiful and peaceful, yet near to many attractions. The hot tub goes down very well. The lodge was immaculate and fresh as always, I would live there if I could! Thanks to everyone at The Hollies!

This was our 4th time staying at the the hollies Forrest lodges and the 1st time with our 2 year old child. We absolutely love it here and we drive 3 hours too spend a few days here. The location is Perfect and there’s plenty of stuff to do near by. We will be returning again for definite at some point in the summer.
Perfect location, great size room and bathroom, bed was so comfy too! Lovely 1 night stay and a very reasonable price.
