The cottage is very well located: as it's at the end of the driveway, once inside you feel like you're alone in the middle of nature. Very pleasant kitchen area.
Great location, weather fantastic and family enjoyed it. Beaches and things to do are plentiful around the area and the restaurants are good
Trois chambres séparées, un séjour-cuisine, une salle de bain. Les équipements pour la lessives sont appréciables (lave-linge et sèche-linge).
Joe and Mary were very friendly and helpful. The information we received made it very easy to get to (and into) the cottage. We were very comfortable there - everything is new and of a very high standard. We enjoyed walking along the quiet lanes in the evenings - and the sunset was glorious over the ocean. It's a great base for exploring Connemara.
It was a pleasure to stay in this cottage. The countryside is beautiful and beaches, a pub and a grocery shop are within easy walking distance. Many thanks to the landlady for the warm welcome!
My wife and I stayed in apartment 295 for a week this November. The accommodation was perfect. It is a updated and modern 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment right on the main street of Clifden. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen was spacious and had everything you would want for an extended stay. You are walking distance to all of Clifden's restaurants and pubs! We will be back for sure.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at this charming cottage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The amenities were top-notch, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and breathtaking views from every room. The outdoor space was equally impressive, featuring a private garden and a seating area where we enjoyed our morning coffee while soaking in the serene surroundings. One of the highligh...more
Our son attended the Ceol Na Mara String Summer School in Kylemore Abbey and there is no better location than this to stay as it is so near to the abbey. Great restaurants, Connemara National Park/Diamond Hill and grocery store all within walking distance. Beautiful places to visit just a short drive away. Perfect!
Great location for anglers. For a bit extra Frank supplied a boat with a reliable engine . The lake view was lovely. House nice and warm when I arrived, had everything I needed for the week. Thank you Geraldine and Frank.
We had 2 wonderful weeks at this holiday house in Cashel! The setting is spectacular and the house is exquisite! It actually is even nicer than it looks in the photos. It is also in a wonderful location if you want to enjoy the amazing beauty of Connemara. Joe, the caretaker, was super responsive to any question or need we had. Our only problem was figuring out which room we wanted to sit in to look out over the constantly changing land and seascape of Cashel Bay. We hope to come back in the future.
Just home from a beautiful stay at Bog Bay. The house is lovely, large and has everything you could imagine. Frank was very helpful. Kitchen is well equipped and we really enjoyed the outside seating area. The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved that each bedroom had an ensuite bathroom. We loved the quiet of the countryside but also being close enough to walk to Oughterard which we did several times a day. This truly is a perfect location, close to the city as well as near enough for day trips to the countryside.
The apartment had all mod cons and everything was of a high standard. Very comfortable and great location . I would have liked some printed advise regarding accessing hot water .(There is a booster box in press in hallway but this was not apparent ) and TV instruction. I could not access TV channels which was very disappointing .No instruction whatsoever. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay immensely.
Our host Tom and his lovely wife were great , always there for us but never intrusive . there is a Picturesque boreen and shortcut from the property into Cleggan so you don't have to walk on the main road, RTE 1 on saorview tv box kept dropping out, the sattelite tv channels were fine after we found the remote control in a drawer. two suggested enhancements for the property would be a stair gate and a welcome pack
(Really) spacious yet cozy property. The contact person was extremely friendly and helpful. The scenery was breathtaking. Very clean, the beds were comfortable.
Parfait pour une famille de 4 personnes. Logement très bien placé, confortable, tranquille à quelques mètres du centre de Clifden !
Confortable house, well equiped. We had a lovely time there Really spacious and cosy, great Light in the kitchen /living room during the day There Washington a bath tub! Thank for everything !
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we enjoyed the location and surroundings. This cottage is a great base for touring Connemara (which we did a lot of during the 10 days): comfortable, well appointed, well equipped and lovely decorated. Fast and efficient WLAN was constantly available during our stay. We were only three but bigger parties will find plenty of space, too. Although the owners live on site, we had all the privacy we needed to feel home away from home. Aedan, the host, is friendly and accessible and although we never had any reason to call for help or support with ...more
Our stay was most enjoyable and we were provided with everything we needed or wanted. Fantastic local support!
Staff were lovely to deal with. This property has lots of space for a large group/family. Excellent location. Kitchen is fully equipped which allowed us to cook breakfast every morning and lots of cutlery/crockery and a dishwasher which made life easier for such a big group. Beds were very comfortable and the house was spotlessly clean! Bonus points for supplying a travel cot and highchair for our baby! Would definitely return to this property
We had a great time staying at the cottage, it was clean and comfortable and within easy striking distance of Clifden and the local attractions. Josephine was very helpful. We would certainly like to stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at flat 432. Despite central location in this lively town it is very quiet, with a lovely view from the balcony. Everything you need is within a few minutes walk. Great bars and restaurants, excellent shops and friendly locals. The flat was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The surrounding countryside is a delight. Plenty of walking routes from easy to strenuous. We can't speak highly enough.
Great help and friendliness from the hosts the Kings. Lovely time at a great location. Home was warm and comftorable.
Checking in was so easy, very clean, excellent location, on the doorstep you have restaurants , shops and an amazing walk up diamond hill. highly recommend this apartment and the locality. Tip: washing line in in the courtyard around the back, not easy to find but a great addition especially as your so closes to amazing beaches
First and foremost trust the directions "they" provide and NOT GPS! (nothing terrible happened but the GPS took us down a single track road that ends with a foot path or bike path and no cottage, had we only followed the directions we would have been fine) We arrived after dark on Thanksgiving Day (it's obvious we are American) to our cottage and what a happy site to see it all lit up for our arrival. The road is a bit tricky but if you've driven in the country this is no surprise. The cottage was just as pictured and took no time to heat to our comfort level. We were gifted fresh fruit, ...more
Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt in einem gemütlichen Haus. Die Kommunikation und der Service war hervorragend. Das Ferienhaus können wir bestens empfehlen.
We had a really great time with six days of bright wall to wall sunshine and warmth. The best weather I have had in Connemara in my forty five years of holidaying there every year. The bungalow is extremely well appointed in every way. The only negative was that the beds could have been a lot more comfortable. We were there when the campsite was not busy which was very pleasant indeed.
The cottage exceeded our expectations. Spacious, well-built home with fabulous views of the ocean, the Aran Islands, and the mountains. Stunning sunsets. Responsive owner. Great place to just relax. Good jumping off location, especially for sites in the Conemara. We would return.
Unfortunately the week we’re visiting was week of a storm but the house was incredibly warm and comfortable. The views from the house are breathtaking! House is very spacious and and comfortable. Lovely places to visit nearby (15/30 min drive), Omney Island is fantastic (check tide times before going). The final 5 min drive to house is up a steep single track with blind bends, not for faint hearted drivers. Truly wonderful property.
Great location to explore Clifden and surrounding area. Love our peat fire each night. Sandy our host was great. She went out of her way to be helpful.
Walked into a lovely warm house Mary had the fire lit and a bottle of wine, it was a lovely surprise and start to the holiday. The house was very well equipped. great views and lovely walks close
Angela could not have been more helpful to us. We were 6 adults, 3 kids and one dog and everyone had a great time staying on this wonderful house.
Great location, great facilities, fabulous view and friendly contacts...will definitely want to stay here again when in Connemara!
We’ve stayed in this cottage on many occasions. The location is beautiful- amazing scenery, tranquility and nature on your doorstep. Fabulous hikes and walks from your front door and all the beauty of Connemara with in easy reach- beautiful beaches etc. and the villages of Clifden, Letterfrack a short drive away. The cottage is always spotless, beautifully prepared each time we’ve visited and the host is friendly and most helpful. Very well equipped with everything you need. A more comfortable sofa would give it full marks all round! One of our favourite spots- we look forward all year to ...more
Excellennt. roomy, well equipped house in a super location. A little expensive but to be expected at this time of year
The apartment is ideally located in the town center of Clifden, a great little town. It is functional (several bathrooms, well equipped, parking spaces, etc.), bright, spacious and comfortable. We were 6 adults and 1 baby, we stayed 3 nights and could have stayed longer without a problem! The rental agency is very reactive when contacted. Thank you for this stay!
Lovely cottage with wood burner. Quite cluttered and clearly a loved family holiday home. Lovely outside space with animals for company!
Contained everything we needed. Right in the middle of things. Double room a bit small. But 2 single rooms are great
Apartment surpassed expectations… really clean, spacious and perfectly located. Curtesy calls to make sure we were happy. Would definitely recommend and revisit ourselves in the future.
A beautiful apartment in beautiful surroundings and great value for money. I would recommend this apartment for anybody
The house was perfect and very quiet , large view on a nice garden i recommend ! top sophie (France )
We enjoyed our stay here. Our contact Martina was a pleasure to deal with. The cottage has everything you need, but one or two improvements would help: the oven was tricky to use as the numbers on the dials had worn off and the door didn't close. There is only one bathroom, which may be an issue for large groups. The house was immaculately clean, and very comfortable. The views of the 12 Bens (when not smothered in cloud) are spectacular. I would recommend the cottage without hesitation.
Great property so close to everything. Got lovely weather so was able to get great use from the patio.
Brilliant location..meet and greet was excellent..home from home.a small shelter in the backyard would be appreciated for the smokers in the group
This cottage is well appointed and a beautiful kitchen for entertaining. The views of the waterfront and surroundings make it a wonderful spot for families or friends.
Loved this little cottage that perfectly fit our group of 9. It was clean, quiet, and in a great location for us as we wanted to be out in the rural areas.
all fine, bedside cabinet with table with lamp would have been acceptable (no subtle lighting from hanging shades). stained kettle spoiled wter for tea.
Tastefully decorated and well equipped house in a perfect location in village with great views. Highly recommend
What an amazing location for this lovely cottage. We were so lucky with sunshine every day! Climbing Diamond Hill is a must. Swimming at Glassillaun Beach in the Atlantic was superb. Connemara is truly wonderful. Everyone so friendly. Thank you Ireland.
Lovely place but tides very hard to understand and put alot of pressure on your plans. Island very unspoilt.
Enjoyed our stay in Clifden. It is a good bae for visiting Conamara. Cottage is very comfortable and good location.
On arrival the cottage was white instead of the warmer colour of the advert. We had trouble finding the heating but were helped fast by the caretaker. The cottage is very spacious and has a view to die for. We loved. The living room was quite small if the cottage would be fully booked but for two is was good. The kitchen was big and it looked like everything was there. But there were no tablets for the dishwasher. Please note that there is a Dolce Gusto coffeemaker and no alternative, so bring cups (We didn't) It was very nice that there were a washing machine and dryer.
We were a group of 8 adults who were there for 2 nights and found the house suitable for our needs. The kitchen is well equipped with ample cooking utensils and crockery. It was nice to have basic kitchen supplies ie salt/ pepper/ tinfoil and such. The heating system is dated but functioned ok. We did purchase sticks and lit the fire in the living room as we were there during a storm!!! The house is a 3 minute walk to the Main Street of Clifton so very convenient for shops and restaurants.
Our family had a lovely stay in this lovely house. It was bright, clean, well furnished and had an excellent library.
4 consecutive years coming to this house. Location is fabulous, across the road from the wonderful Olivers bar and the amazing Little Fish where we indulged too often! Almost everything about the house is great and it really feels like home to us by now. All 5 people that stayed in the house agreed that the one big letdown is the beds. The mattresses on all the beds need replacing to enable a good night's sleep. It's the only reason this house does not get all 5 * We're unable to return next year but hope to be back in the future.
Very enjoyable stay in the house, despite some issues with the heating. House well equipped. Would have appreciated soap in the bathrooms. Beautiful location. Would stay here again.
Had another great holiday. The weather was much better this year. I went with 3daughters 7 grandchildren and two sons in law made flying visits! Bernie and sean could have been better hosts. It was no problem having them on site in fact it was handy when you needed something Thanks Bernie and Sean
Lovely house, great location, beautiful views BUT No blind on one bedroom rooflight. Cooker in an antique and no way to open rooflights. Front door latch locked us out one evening.
The house is nice and has some lovely views. The kitchen is very well equipped and has an air fryer and a grill. The sitting room is very homely. The house gets chilly in the winter as the floors are tiled but there's a big fireplace and good heating. Dog's bay is a short drive for stunning walks. Our little dogs loved the garden and had a great time.
You could not find a better spot for a holiday home, the views are incredible. The house is very spacious and could be very comfortable, but there were a few downsides. The seating in the living room was very worn and uncomfortable. The dining room chairs were uncomfortable and some were wobbly, the table was sticky. The beds in the triple room were terribly umcomfortable. But the biggest downside was the moldy smell in the living room. There was a scented candle burning when we arrived, but it could not cover the smell. The house definitely needs some work and new furniture to justify the pri...more
This was our second stay at these apartments. The location is fantastic and the apartments have all you need and are extremely clean. Very easy arrival and leaving process.
It was a very nice accommodation (clean, well equiped) We were really happy. Sue Ellen support was very kind.
Not the newest building from outside (pictures in description are not actual), can hear neighbours from other appartments. Good starting point for hiking, walking to connemara N.P. Personal parking space free provided. Pub and supermarket close by. But would come back. Good for families.
We have been for the second time in Cottage 215 and it was as lovely as the first time. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a holiday with family or friends. The location at the tip of Aughrus Peninsula is fantastic, you are literally surrounded by the Atlantic. All windows have sea view. No matter if the weather is nice and you enjoy your breakfast on the terrace or if it's stormy and you watch the rage of the elements outside through the panoramic window - it's always a great experience. And there is no better way to end the than with a peat fire at the open fire place.
We had a wonderful time at Ross Point, the weather was pretty in the first half of September and we had a great holiday, swimming everyday. Friends visited and marvelled at Connemara. Children roamed free on the beach on their bicycles, picking cockles. Thank you again, Mary and Patrick O'Toole. Best wishes, Robert and Emma Murphy
Lovely quaint cottage in a stunning location, perfect for exploring. The cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay, the mattresses, duvets and pillows were very comfortable and fresh, just the ticket after a day spent exploring. The cottage is located on a busyish road but the view from the garden into the fjord dispelled that. I brought my young, energetic dog so if bringing a feisty pet take a long lead so he can explore and toilet safely. I had no issue with dog not being off lead in the garden. There is a stunning community garden nearby for a good pet run. John Joe is a g...more
We spent New Year in this house in Clifden Glen. The house was modern and spotlessly clean, the kitchen is well equipped and house has comfy beds. Heating is electric storage heating and living area was toasty warm, no need to light the fire. The only drawback is the living area is quite small and would be cramped if all the beds were occupied or you are spending a lot of time in the house.
5mins to uncrowded beach.Loved the quiet.15mins drive to Clifden local shop 5 mins drive Ideal for a relaxing getaway
Delighted to have found this wonderful cottage near to Clifden town, which happened to be available for a last minute short stay during peak tourist season. As it happens the cottage has only recently reopened for holiday letting following some upgrades, and this was very evident throughout. Pre arrival communication and check in was seamless. The cosy cottage was clean and warm and the views from the living room and bedrooms are truly beautiful. The cottage was well equipped with everything I needed for my stay. A real home from home. I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely pro...more
A loveley house and good startingpoint to explore the surroudings. The location is difficult to find at first (its snot Hidde with a very small nameplate), but once found you feel like you are in a smalle paradise. With clifden on one side and hikingtrails on the other, there is also plenty to do to spend your holiday! Just one suggestion: we dutch love a view, so you may prune some sightlines in a few places…. That would make ithe place even more special!
J'ai été surprise de découvrir à l'arrivée que nous allions devoir payer l'électricité. Cela nécessiterait d'être précisé clairement avant la réservation.
The appartment was awesome. So well located, with all we needed in it, including the washing machine. Good pub & supermarket at 5 min walking. We keep this adress for next time ! & definitively recommend.
As in my previous review of this peroperty, several issues mainly in the bathrooms were present upon my arrival in June. After several calls to Love Connemara a plumber appeared but only fixed the minor issues. Throughout my 12 week stay the en suite shower and toilet did not work properly. The water heater is ancient and needed to be reset if there was a need for more than two showers in an hour.
Bedrooms clean and nice with really comfortable beds. Bathroom clean and adequate. Spacious lounge and kitchen area but had a musty smell. Aired it as much as we could but didn’t get rid of it.
We spend a good time in this apartment in Letterfrack, I have only two remarks: - the cleanings was not satisfying for our arrival, - the water-heating system is really too noisy.
Comfortable apartment. The building and external space were still in process of being finished, which we hadn’t expected, and the information on the property and surrounding areas still incomplete. The TV did not work which was disappointing. The location was very pretty but not safely walkable to any amenities. Good base for exploring Connemara.
The apartment is conveniently located in the village of Letterfrack which has several pubs/restaurants/cafés (and there's live music many nights) as well as a pretty well stocked shop. The road outside was busy during the day, but quiet at night. Beautiful view out the window of Diamond Hill. The manager, Louisa, was very friendly and helpful. Contains the basic necessities you need to cook meals (though providing things like pepper, olive oil and washing powder would be a nice touch, as these are things you are highly unlikely to use more than a fraction of during your stay). The ...more
