We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment. It was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. bedlinen, beds, kitchen and bathrooms were top notch. It felt like a home away from home. we loved the outside seating area with beautiful views, we had lovely weather which helped. Brian our host was so helpful and we are definitely coming back.
Everything was excellent. We loved the cozy house and the lake. Walking to the city is a bit further than we expected.
Very helpful & friendly caretakers & attended very promptly to our queries. Great location and space. Excellent value for money. Lovely restaurants. Plenty to do.
This year was our second to stay in Letterfrack and in the exact same apt as last year. We need ground floor as my son has special needs and finds stairs difficult. The apartment caters for our needs as a family, my Mother, myself and my 16y/o son. We each get a bedroom which is great. Louisa let us into the apartment early on arrival as per my request which was gladly welcomed after travelling over four hours. My sons bedroom only had two hand towels, but we used a beach towel. It would've been nice to have a bath towel provided for him though. My only one complaint and it is a small ...more
Loved our week stay at Nora's place. The place was sparkling clean and had all the amenities one might need for their vacation. The views from the balcony are stunning too. The place was located at the heart of Connemara region with lots to do and explore around. The hosts were really accomodating to some of our additional requests. They even kept checking on us when we were late to arrive to ensure a smooth check-in. 5 stars to the property and the hosts. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.
A very comfortable place with all you need for your stay. Well located in the center of the town. Well communication with customer service
Great location, weather fantastic and family enjoyed it. Beaches and things to do are plentiful around the area and the restaurants are good
Our son attended the Ceol Na Mara String Summer School in Kylemore Abbey and there is no better location than this to stay as it is so near to the abbey. Great restaurants, Connemara National Park/Diamond Hill and grocery store all within walking distance. Beautiful places to visit just a short drive away. Perfect!
The apartment was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. The welcome and advice from Brian was much appreciated. Clifden is full of terrific restaurants and pubs, and to be based right in the centre of town was wonderful. As we stayed during the Arts Festival, the entertainment was amazing. We enjoyed a fantastic few days, and the accommodation is highly recommended.
My friends and I love this "cottage" For sure I recommend this place. Right on the water. Very scenic Nice vibe, comfortable house. Super cosy fire with wood and turf provided. If you decide to spend time at home cooking the kitchen is very well equipped with any tools you may need.
great cottage, service, location. no issues at all during our stay. Would highly recommend this property
Lovely house, very comfortable and so close to Clifden town.Great base to tour Connemara. Will be back.
Exceptionally clean ,well equipped kitchen , great coastal views from some windows , easy key collection and parking , caretaker on hand nearby .
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we enjoyed the location and surroundings. This cottage is a great base for touring Connemara (which we did a lot of during the 10 days): comfortable, well appointed, well equipped and lovely decorated. Fast and efficient WLAN was constantly available during our stay. We were only three but bigger parties will find plenty of space, too. Although the owners live on site, we had all the privacy we needed to feel home away from home. Aedan, the host, is friendly and accessible and although we never had any reason to call for help or support with ...more
Plenty of room for everyone and well kitted out with enough of the essential items; cutlery, plates, bowls, etc. Not forgetting 3 grills and 2 ovens!
Great place to enjoy the peacefullness of Connemara. A lot of space to enjoy gathering but also to be quiet in a bedroom.
Admittedly we were blessed with good September weather and few fellow visitors, so that the apartment allowed us to feel part of the wonderful setting. Even in the spells of poorer conditions, the views across the Lough were very relaxing. Conveniently situated for the hills, the loughs and the coast, it allowed us to feel we had done justice to Connemara in our short stay. The apartment itself was very comfortable and its management relaxed but efficient.
Amazing views from this property. Best place for some peace and quiet and the beautiful nature of Connemara. We want to come back here. Property as displayed, clean, comfy, home feeling.
It's a lovely flat for two people. We had beautiful weather while there. The property has a dryer, but we suggest owners also provide clothes airer, washing line and pegs in case wet stuff needs to drip outside on balcony.
We stayed at cottage 421 for two nights and enjoyed it very much. The location is outstanding with spectacular views and is very peaceful. The cottage is really well equipped including an Egg for barbecuing(you need to bring your own charcoal) It was an extra bonus to be gifted fresh oysters and guidance on how to schuck an oyster from the guys at the farm next door.
The apartment was well located with a lovely view to Clifden harbour...bright, very comfortable and very well maintained. The quality of kitchen ware and appliances made it feel like home and not just a place to rent for a week. We intend to return...there is lots to do and see in Clifden.
The cottage was very close to the town but quiet and isolated. Very comfortable we had a great weekend
Checking in was so easy, very clean, excellent location, on the doorstep you have restaurants , shops and an amazing walk up diamond hill. highly recommend this apartment and the locality. Tip: washing line in in the courtyard around the back, not easy to find but a great addition especially as your so closes to amazing beaches
We had a really great time with six days of bright wall to wall sunshine and warmth. The best weather I have had in Connemara in my forty five years of holidaying there every year. The bungalow is extremely well appointed in every way. The only negative was that the beds could have been a lot more comfortable. We were there when the campsite was not busy which was very pleasant indeed.
I felt at home the moment i entered the cottage. It was so well equipped. I have never seen sth like it. There was even an oil difuser :) thanks a lot for everything.
The house is perfect. What a pitty that it wasn’t clean... Owners very friendly. Wifi and tv were great but more important, kitchen missed some basic things.
The house is very well built and spacious. It was very clean and bright. Good comfortable beds. Good location. We really enjoyed our stay at Cottage 378.
The cottage owners were very friendly and welcoming and were very responsive to any questions we had. The cottage is in a quiet area very handy for Clifden and whilst remote it’s just a 30 minute walk to Balynahinch Castle where there are walks, fishing, a good restaurant and bar. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with all the appliances you need. The bedrooms are all a good size with comfortable beds, quality linen and bath towels. It’s a great place to relax and explore and is ideally situated on the Connemara Greenway which links to the various Clifden Cycle Hubs. We’ll be bac...more
This was a perfect place for us. Location second to none.We will use it again. The only drawback is that the washer dryer is small and for sheets and towels I used a outside laundry.
Perfect for families, perfect for Clifden and the surrounding area. Right across from the beach. The sand is a little painful but beautiful! Great place for swimming when the tide is in. Clear water and it gets deep quickly. Fine for paddling when the tide is out but a bit far out for swimming. Easy walk to the shops and pub. House lovely and cosy. Kitchen is a good size and bathrooms are fine. Porch is great for leaving shoes and drying clothes out.
Omey is an incredible holiday destination with its amazing scenery and peaceful surroundings. Love the fact there are no shops of any sort which means complete switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. All in all just a heavenly place.
This is a lovely spacious cottage. Spotlessly clean and everything you need. Location is the real winner- nestled between the Twelve Pin and Mamturk mountain range it is an idyllic haven of peace and quiet with wonderful views. Fantastic walks from the door- Western way etc. Half hour drive to lovely beaches.
Great Location! Great Communication! Beautiful Country! Amazing Town! Fantastic Views! Check out MC McGraths for a drink and live music. Check out Griffins for a fantastic meal!
Ballyconneely is such a beautiful place for relaxation, rest & tranquility. The hospitality and people are so friendly and welcoming. Such a delight to see the ocean kiss the shoreline good morning.
Apartment surpassed expectations… really clean, spacious and perfectly located. Curtesy calls to make sure we were happy. Would definitely recommend and revisit ourselves in the future.
We had a lovely time in this cottage over 3 days. Located close to Clifden is a big plus as you can head off in various directions - Ballyconneelly, Roundstone, Cleggan, Leenane etc. We made good use of the tennis courts and Lidl and Aldi are on the same side of Clifden for groceries. The house is in great condition with central heating on the ground floor and electric heaters upstairs if needed. Although we were there off peak, we weren't charged for electricity or oil usage.
Contained everything we needed. Right in the middle of things. Double room a bit small. But 2 single rooms are great
Excellent property. Perfect for our stay with 6 adults ad 2 kids. A swim on our doorstep every morning. A short walk to a beautiful beach. Even though we missed out on the heatwave that was covering the country it was still ideal for us. Planning on returning next year.
We booked this the day before we travelled and the girls I dealt with could not have been nicer. Everything about this experience was excellent and we could not fault 1 thing 10/10. Would highly recommend this company.
Excellent location for a Connemara break away. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. I will be recommending this location to friends and family.
We enjoyed a superb stay in this spacious cottage in the heart of Letterfrack. We had a warm welcome from David who met us to handover the key and show us around the house. It was a shame that the shower in one of the en-suite rooms was awaiting a spare part, but that couldn’t be helped. David was promptly on hand to assist us on the one occasion we had a small issue and couldn’t have been more helpful. The downstairs bedroom and cloakroom was useful for my parents with mobility issues. My party of ten were able to enjoy the time together here; there is sofa seating for seven in the lounge ...more
First impression was what a view! Once we had a look around the apartment we were very happy with the size and everything we needed was provided. Finding the car park was difficult but for future visitors turn right past O’Dowds up the hill and second right followed by first right (which looks like someone’s driveway!). The only other problem was the address.. there is no 245 as we found it is FLAT 2 Harbourview! Lauren the caretaker was really friendly and helpful and pointed us in the right direction and came to welcome us which was lovely. We had a wonderful stay and would happily book ...more
Nous sommes très heureux de notre séjour et recommandons cette location à de futurs voyageurs ! Hôte très sympathique
There were lots of steps down to the apartment making it difficult to get luggage to and from the apt. We were lucky there was a parking space available during our stay but there is no allocated space for the property. We felt the property needed a good deep clean and rugs cleaned/replaced. Other than that the apartment was basic and it would take very little effort /expense to make it much more comfortable.
My husband, two daughters, and their children recently stayed at cottage 173 in Clifden. The weather was unkind so it was wonderful to be able to walk to the shops and supermarket and scurry back to the house when it became too inclement. The house was warm, the heater on a timer which we did not find necessary to adjust, and the rooms large and comfortable. We did not need a dryer but had we been spending more than a few days this might have been a problem considering the weather. The kitchen was well equipped except for the absence of a spatula (!) which is easily remedied. One note, it is d...more
Pleasant stay, rooms are very spacious and facilities are excellent. Close to Clifton and close to lovely beach. Would recommend
The undoubted selling point of the cottage is the view over Loch Corrib, so much better again than the photos! It was absolutely stunning waking to such a vista and so relaxing. The area is very central for day trips to Galway, Westport and surrounds. The cottage has all mod cons and host was close by to assist, always very friendly. The only one minor downside was the comfort of the beds, however this did not detract from a fantastic holiday here. Highly recommended!
2nd year in this house and 6th year staying in the area which we never tire of. If you want a slower pace of life, walking, swimming, great coffee shops and restaurants then there is no better place than Clifden and Cleggan for us. This house is generally very comfortable, has plenty of space and everything you need for a great holiday. Like all the houses we've stayed in here, the mattresses are in need of being replaced. Mattress toppers will not disguise an old one whose springs have gone and it's not good for the back! Also, the 2nd floor bedroom is huge with a great en-suite but only ...more
Great communication beforehand, easy arrival with the key safe. Parking outside worked well for being out in the day. Brilliant location for all the lovely restaurants and shops in Clifden. Very clean, well equipped accommodation. We would definitely return.
The property management was very helpful making arrangements. The cottage was comfortable and clean. Access to Clifden was easy (you could walk the 1km), and to hiking areas nearby, via car.
Great location, spectacular view. Clean and spacious. Would be helpful if there were some detergent, dish washer and garbage bags in the kitchen. Maybe a bit austerely decorated.
Very nice appartment, good beds, nice decoration. Fully equipped kitchen, we cooked, baked and lived comfortably for 2 weeks as fully self-catered. Beatiful view from within the salon/open kitchen over the town, the iconic church tower in view. Perfect sunsets, over surrounding hills. Huge terrasse due to weather conditions not too useful, but very nice. Kitchen was not very clean though - we washed all dishes and glasses by ourself (easy with the dishwasher). Shopping by foot (good mall, butcher and bakery just around the corner). Highly recommended.
The cottage was fine however I do wish to complain about the lack of hospitality, there was no one there to meet us at the property, we could not find the keys we had been told that they were under the bins they were not we eventually found them under a full gas bottle. Also there were no instructions on the heating controls or anything else we had to work it all out for ourselves, during the week we saw no one to see if everything was all right. The biggest incident was the day before and the morning of our departure when we had text messages and calls stating in a quite an aggressive manner ...more
We've stayed here now 3 times. Great location and good size bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely and clean too.
Absolutely love this house.Extremely well equiped and very comfortable. We all took advantage of sitting on the balconies and the library was an added bonus.! Such wonderful books .One would certainly be never bored.I will definitely be back.
Pleasant house and lovely garden. Limited storage space. Parking on street limited due to neighbours reserving places. Enjoyed our stay and would return.
we passed a very good holydays in this very comfortable cottage, fully equiped and close to the city. We'll hope return next year . Thanks a lot.
Lage wie beschrieben hatten 2 tolle Wochen bei typisch irischen Wetter ruhige Wohnung Ausstattung mit allem was man braucht
The cottage provides lots of rooms and space for up to 6 people. What is more, the view of the bay is really stunning. Several beaches and activities are close by. The owner is happy to share advice on where to go and what to do. We'd love to come again to Renvyle.
Our cottage was spacious, bright, with wonderful sunset views from dining and living room. As it was cool summer weather the heating helped hugely making it nicely cosy as the wind swirled around us.
This semi-detached house was a rather mixed bag. Plenty of space but in need of some TLC. Lounge smelt of moth balls. Kitchen equipment OK overall, but lacking in some areas such as bowls, cutlery (knives and teaspoons) and no coffee press. Not everyone likes capsule coffee which is no good for filling a coffee mug/flask. Bedrooms - I had no choice but to stay in the downstairs bedroom as other bedrooms were locked. Downstairs shower has an enormous crack through the rear wall and crawling insects in the base. Bathroom also had a large wall crack and ungrouted floor tiles. Also no window cover...more
This was our second stay at these apartments. The location is fantastic and the apartments have all you need and are extremely clean. Very easy arrival and leaving process.
Very well located at Kylemore lake. Beautifull surroundings, beautifull Abbey, close to the sea. Very quite location, ideal for a family stay. Despite the midges ;-) really enjoyed being here.
Fab view overlooking the sea but no outdoor furniture to sit outside and enjoy it bar a couple of white plastic chairs! Please please and also a barbecue would be fantastic. Still think 20e a day for electricity is outrageous!
I enjoyed both the cottage and the location. The owner was very helpful with a couple of minor problems. The house is warm with conveniences that are (thankfully) easy to operate. The location, backing onto the Killary is beautiful. The road is busy but there is a great loop walk across the road from the cottage. It is safest to drive into Leenane. The restaurant service is friendly and the food is excellent.
Super cottage ,fab scenery, every comfort available ,a real gem .we will be back again .seriously love connemara cottages
We had a great stay. Everything was well organised. Happy to book again and look forward to another week in Clifden soon
We are a family of eleven who stayed at this property for a week in early July. We were blessed with fabulous weather. We were met by the very friendly and helpful Bernie. We had a great stay. The house was very well equipped with everything we required. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious with t.v in every room. There was probably too much furniture downstairs which made the house feel a bit cramped. There was plenty of parking out the back which was great as we had four cars, a boat and bicycles. There is a super bbq at the front with plenty of benches and chairs for outside dining. T...more
The house is down a long rural farm lane, must have been close to a kilometer long. We had difficulties on arrival as our car was so laden down, with the packed roof box and all that we were catching the grassy centre of the lane too much, so myself and the dogs and kids walked the rest. Was grand tho as we needed to stretch our legs at that stage. The views at the house are just stunning!! I took so many photos of the beautiful mountains. We were so delighted to to have been able to go on hols as a whole family too, us and our dogs, my parents and their dogs too! It's so hard to get a hol...more
Lovely cottage in Connemara, located in a beautiful spot with amazing views on the bay from the windows. Very clean rooms and comfortable, large double bed. Perfectly equipped kitchen (we even found an air fryer). Very near to the lovely Roundstone with lots of restaurants and coffee shops. The cottage is a real pet friendly house and we loved to spend our time with our furry friend on the white beaches of Connemara. Irene was a perfect and prompt host.
House was very well presented with a superb big garden fully walled in. The house was very comfortable and child friendly. Easy walk into oughterard and 30 mins drive from galway city and 45 from the national park so ideally located for all tastes. Proof in the pudding that we have reserved same house again next year.
We spend a good time in this apartment in Letterfrack, I have only two remarks: - the cleanings was not satisfying for our arrival, - the water-heating system is really too noisy.
While the apartment was excellent and the location was great, there is a need for permanent 24/7 onsite management. Had stayed there in 2019 and had no issues but this year the noise level was unbelievable-parties until late at night, fire alarms being set off at 5am & kids just running wild. So needless to say I wouldn't return. Bit disappointed to be honest
Comfortable apartment. The building and external space were still in process of being finished, which we hadn’t expected, and the information on the property and surrounding areas still incomplete. The TV did not work which was disappointing. The location was very pretty but not safely walkable to any amenities. Good base for exploring Connemara.
The water heating system is completely obsolete and there is not enough warm water during the day The beds are in poor condition, and cause us sore backs. The couches are so old that they loose their skin on the floor.
