We had a super holiday at the Mews Cottage, the peace and quiet was just what we wanted. The amount of wildlife we saw was amazing, woodpeckers nuthatch Jay's and lots of smaller birds, a massive hare ran passed the cottage and there were deer and red squirrels in the distance. With only occasional traffic noise it was mostly bird song or complete silence. Charging for our EV was very reasonable only 30p per kWh with the 1st 30 kWh free. A visit to Culzean Castle was good with free charging Threave Gardens and Threave Nature Reserve were great there was lots of other places to visit all in all...more
Another lovely time at Kirkennan lodge , very welcoming host and really secure garden for letting the dog out.There are lovely private woods and walled garden to explore, with plenty of places to visit in the area.Always a good time to be had, looking forward to our return.
We stayed recently at Woodsedge for the accessibility option. The rise/recline chair, adjustable bed and wet room were excellent for my husband who has very limited mobility from stroke. Only thing was it is fully carpeted so not ideal for Sara stedy etc but we took mobile joist and had friend to help move it. So totally do-able. But I knew this in advance and knew I could make it work. There are full details of measurements etc on the web site so you can check each room out.
