Great little cottage in a fantastic location, literally 5 mins walk to a beautiful sandy beach. This being our annual 'dog' holiday was perfect for us, we originally booked for 4 adults, but in the end, there was only 3 of us and our dog. House had everything you needed, beds were comfortable and there was a nice little garden, with table and chairs. Went to the local pub for a Sunday roast which was delicious with massive portions, the local cafe did great breakfasts too and are very dog friendly, also bought local crab for sandwiches. Very clean and cosy cottage. Only a few yards to the beach, to the local store and to a pub. Parking in front of the cottage is challenging but it works... We'd love to be back one day!
Forsythia House proved to be an ideal base for a short stay in North Norfolk. We have previously visited Overstrand on many occasions, originally as far back as the 1960's to visit relatives and then for family holidays when our children were very young. We therefore have an ongoing wish to revisit a part of the country which has very special memories as well as the continuing attraction of the beauty and tranquility of the area. We had a very comfortable stay in the Bakehouse, which was just a short walk from the beach. The cottage was warm and cosy and well equipped. Definitely one to return to.
A cosy cottage well situated for village amenities and the beach. Lovely calm environment for a short break by the sea.
Couldn’t fault this beautiful little rural cottage, warm and cosy with everything you need. All seaside towns about a 20 minute drive, with lots to do and see on the North Norfolk coastline. The only suggestion for me personally would be to have a secure area in the garden if you take your dog with you. However that said the large enclosed garden looking over the countryside is beautiful and relaxing.
Excellent comfortable cottage. One very small thing, it would be good to have instructions to work oven and microwave
From the moment we walked through the front door of the cottage. We were very impressed it was very warm. The bedding is good quality. The beds are very comfortable. It is a very well equipped cottage .
