My husband and I had a wonderful four night stay in Yurt Bonnie in May, which could in fact have slept five - double bed downstairs and three single mattresses on the charming little mezzanine above. The first two days were cloudy and wet with high winds, but the later two were the most glorious, hot weather. The Yurt was perfect throughout - cosy and toasty on the inclement days with the log burning stove which warmed the place magnificently, and bright and connected to the outdoors on the warm days when you could throw open the door and let the sunshine pour in. Little Mersley Farmhouse was an incredible find. Booking made very easy with Melanie who was a delight to meet during our stay. Very pretty house set in lovely countryside. Easy access to all parts of the island being central. House very clean and extremely well equipped. Loved the garlic farm shop. Breakfast in the restaurant on our last day we all said was the “best full english we had ever had”. We were fortunate to have amazing weather for the time of year which meant we could enjoy the island to the full. Highly recommend the garlic farm.
Good food, all facilities, including lovely sauna and table tennis. Extremely friendly and helpful Staff. Quiet surroundings of nature, lots of green and flowers. Will be returning for more!
Had a great time away, yurt was lovely, not stayed in one before so not sure what to expect. so really pleased it was much better than a wooden pod. Nice touch with home grown flowers and we even saw squirrels, would of loved to try the hammock but a bit wet, so that will be for next time. It's really helpful having the milk and fire made up so you can get on with enjoying the quiet, thank you for the lovely touches
Six of us stayed in Mill Cottage and had a wonderful time. The house was lovely and warm and well equipped. We loved the shop and tasted almost everything (and bought some too!) We would definitely book to stay again when we come to the Island. Thanks to all the Boswells.
We had such a lovely peaceful few days at the cottage. We were working on our boat and really appreciated such a sweet cottage to return to at night. Thank you x
Stayed at the Garlic farm many times but this is the first time in the Yurts. we loved it and can't wait to book again.
Excellent location everything you could need for a comfortable break. Very peaceful surrounded by trees and birdsong. Unfortunately the restaurant does not open in evenings so if you don't want drive for you supper bring supplies.
This is the second time that we’ve stayed at the Garlic Farm and once again it was a fantastic experience. Right from making the booking the communication was great. The owners can arrange your ferry crossing if you need it at a discounted rate which is really good bonus. The property itself is beautiful and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials for a short break and the pint of milk in the fridge on arrival is a very welcome and thoughtful touch. The location was perfect for us, very quiet and chilled in the evening with easy access to the rest of the island for the day. ...more
This was not our first stay at the Garlic Farm (GF) but it was the first time in the Barn Cottage. As with all the other accommodation we have stayed in, it was clean, comfortable and with everything there we were expecting. Some scrumptious breakfasts with friendly service were enjoyed in at the GF restaurant. The peace and tranquility was as good as ever. And we had some great views of the rich local wildlife. We will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.
