We have seven beautifully converted self catering holiday cottages and four luxury yurts sleeping between two and ten people located in the immediate area around the Garlic Farm. A tennis court, football pitch and games room are available exclusively for our guests. All our properties are equipped with free WIFI. We can book discounted ferry crossings on all routes. We also welcome dogs to the farm and each cottage has its own enclosed garden space. We are ideally located for exploring the Island on foot or bicycle. There is a private fishing lake 1/2 a mile away and beaches no more than 10 minutes by car.
The cottages can also be booked together for group accommodation of up to 45 people.
We had a lovely stay the yurt had everything we needed and the hot tub was amazing. The restaurant was lovely and the walks around the farm were great. We would definitely stay again.
I booked 2 nights for a surprise for my partners 60th birthday.
I was slightly apprehensive as neither of us had ever stayed in a yurt before and I was worried that it might be too much like camping (something I knew my partner would hate).
It was clearly signposted and we arrived at the yurt 20 minutes after leaving the ferry.
The yurt was absolutely wonderful and sooo cosy.
We were very lucky with the weather and were able to make full use of the hot tub, bbq and fire pit. I brought Marshmallows to toast on the fire pit. It really was so lovely to be surrounded by wildlife, particularly ...more
Such a stunning location, yurt was cosy, comfortable and perfect for a short break. A great deal of thought has been put into this accommodation, highly recommend a stay at The Garlic Farm. Restaurant is well worth a visit, breakfast was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed tour of farm with Colin, enlightening and entertaining. We will certainly return however next time it will be with friends and family as it is such fun! Thank you to Colin, Jennifer, Hugo and Mel!
This holiday could not have been more perfect, the weather of course was superb, April / May 2025 being what it was. The ferry crossing was sunny and the seas flat, the cottage itself was the perfect layout for our family group being on three floors, our son had the upper level to himself, our other son, wife and three children had the next level and my wife and myself were on the ground floor with an en suite. The large garden area was perfect for the two dogs. Outdoor seating was great and the hot tub was lovely to come back to in an evening. The walks around the garlic farm are beautiful...more
We were looking forward to our stay in the countryside, and expecting some peace and quiet. The cottage was grubbier than we expected, and the bathroom was damp and inadequately ventilated. Leaving the windows open didn't do much to help. Being right next to the farmhouse, and with windows actually overlooking the private property meant we felt overlooked, and indeed one afternoon the owner was standing right up to the window cutting plants. This was after a morning of several people standing under the window fixing an issue in the garden. A one off I assume but still, it felt intrusive. In th...more
The perfect place to chill out and relax, but within easy reach of the beauty the Isle of Wight has to offer. We were so impressed with the level of comfort, and the care and attention taken to provide a pleasurable stay, from the wild flowers picked for our enjoyment on the kitchen table to the little gifts of garlic delights left for us to try. So quiet and peaceful, we didn’t want to leave, and I was lucky enough to see 2 red squirrels as well. Perfectly placed to explore the coast, the downs and the visitor attractions, we were never far from anywhere. The Garlic shop was full of treasure ...more
An amazing rural location you get the benefit of your own secluded and comfortable cottage and only a short walk from all the great garlic farm facilities and cafe/restaurant. It's a bit hidden but do ask for your 10% discount in the shop.
Came back for a second time and wasn’t disappointed. Great location for exploring the island. Yurt was perfect for the family we had great fun doing some experiences on the garlic farm and making the most of the other facilities such as tennis and the games room. Staff very friendly and attentive especially when we ran out of the gas - was all fixed in 30minutes. Food was lovely, boys loved the evening the magician came! We were sad to come home.
We chose to stay at the Garlic Farm as were completing our coastal footpath walk this year.
Kiln cottage had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and our dog loved the open space available from the front door. It was a treat to spot rabbits and red squirrels from the patio!
The shop and restaurant was all too tempting and our lunch on our last day under the trees in the sunshine was delightful.
Melanie was so helpful when we made our booking too.
We definitely want to return and will recommend to others.
This is our 2nd stay on the Garlic Farm, but first time in the Milking Parlour. The location is stunning and the free garlic and produce from the shop on the property table were really appreciated. The property was spotless and well appointed kitchen apart from no pizza cutter. Although we would stay at the Garlic Farm again, we would not stay in in the milking parlour - we were woken up at 5am by lots of banging on both mornings we stayed. The hot water in the ensuite shower and sink was way too hot and my husband scolded himself when he first used the shower. The shower in the ensuite is not...more
