Wow, no better location. stayed with my partner and our toy cavapoo Bella. We had the most relaxing stay. The best views of sea, sounds of the waves. Immaculate property, cosy bright and decorated to very high standard. Had everything needed and more. Host was excellent giving us all the information we required prior to stay. faultless. We rebooked on the way home!
A fabulous holiday cottage, even better than the photos . A generous welcome pack, kind helpful hosts. Our dogs loved the field and the assortment of toys .
We are just back from a 4 night stay at The Salty Sea Dog, and wow, what can I say, what a place this is!. We took our 13 year old dog Roxie really to make memories as she is getting on now, she is a huge fan of shallow water, so with the lodge being seconds from the beautiful sandy beach, we thought it ideal, she was in Heaven, as were we. This lovely spot is so peaceful, all you can hear is the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. It was clean, comfortable, catered for all our needs, as well as Roxie's; there were no silly dog rules, it was truly 100% dog friendly in every way. The beds...more
We loved our stay and exploring the area. The barn is well equipped, comfortable, and very dog welcoming. It is a great base with shops and restaurants nearby and a short walk to a lovely beach. Rick and Ally were great hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.
We had a fantastic stay at Bumblebee. Paul and Stella have done a wonderful job building, decorating and furnishing this cottage. Everything has been done to such a high standard it was a joy to be there. The sofa and bed were super comfy and perfect for cosy nights in and lovely lie ins. We loved the location - having a paddock to use was a real plus, where Albus could also meet up with other friendly dogs staying and play with his ball. So rural that during our stay the potato crop was being harvested which was very cool. Fab walks from the door and lovely places to eat too. We enjoyed a w...more
We’ve just had another wonderful week, the welcome hamper is excellent, the property is very clean, even the dogs beds ! There is nothing that you can improve on , it’s perfect. Lovely patio area the opens up into an enclosed secure paddock. Will be booking for next year !
Beautiful cottage, immaculately clean, very welcoming - hamper pack and owner to greet us, lovely big garden with good quality outside furnishing, very comfortable bed and lovely bedding, very comfortable settee. Only criticisms were poor lighting in lounge and conservatory where the dinning table was: couldn’t read or see to eat. Also steps down to conservatory, our old dog fell down them a few times and it was a struggle taking crockery, cutlery and food up and down without a tray. Would have preferred table in lounge and nice seating in conservatory to enjoy the sun. My husband does have ...more
Since we have had our rescue dog, Pluto, it has become a 'tradition' to take him on the holiday he would choose for himself, and the Norfolk seaside is his favourite place! East Ruston Cottages are so wonderfully dog friendly, and Jack's Shack was also comfortable and luxurious. There was such a sense of generosity in the cottage, and we appreciated our welcome basket. The garden was beautifully designed and dog proof, even for Pluto who is well known as an escape artist. The location is particularly special. It was wonderful to cross the sand dunes and then walk for miles, so we didn't use...more
Fabulous cottage , cosy , clean ,comfortable and well equipped . Welcome basket was amazing and much appreciated . The large smart tv was a great addition too . Trunch is a lovely village , country walks from the cottage and a short drive to the beach . A very dog friendly cottage to which we will definitely return .
We loved this thatched barn conversion, so much space I doors and out, even a little orchard where we could have our family badminton games. It was very close to 2 lovely beaches and easy travelling distance to The Broads. All you could ever want was provided with a fantastic welcome pack and the loveliest vase of freshly cut home grown flowers.
We had a lovely stay a the Walnut. A warm welcome from the owners on arrival and cottage was lovely, comfortable and cosy. We had beautiful weather for our stay and took advantage of the lovely patio. Dogs loved the paddock.
Great place especially for my dogs who don't do beach so the enclosed paddock is ideal. We would have preferred a walk in shower instead of the climbing into a bath as we are not youngsters. Overall a great place.
A fabulous place to stay. The owners have thought of everything to ensure your dog has a wonderful time. Great communication in advance of the stay, including sample itineraries and checking dietary requirements for the welcome pack. The welcome pack was outstanding, so thoughtful. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Attention to detail outstanding. The dog friendly enclosed areas were much appreciated. The patio was a great place to relax after a busy day sight seeing.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dormy again. It is in the most perfect location for the beach and provides all the home comforts that any human or dog could wish for.
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
Eccles is not for everyone but we have been numerous times, although this is our first time at Sand-drift. The welcome pack left by Lesley & Jim was super, including a birthday card and bubbly. The cottage is quaint but was lovely and cosy for us and our 2 dogs. Front and back gardens were fully enclosed with parking for 4 cars. The living area was open plan with a Beautiful kitchen. The beds were all comfortable with lots of pillows to suit everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sand-Drift and would definitely stay again.
Lovely cottage within 5 mins walk to the beach and dunes. The property itself was comfortable with a well supplied kitchen. The gift basket was a lovely treat for myself and the dogs.
A lovely cottage, full of character. Surrounded by fields. Nice pub nearby. Nearby shop but very little stock (no bread despite suggesting artisan goods). Helpful owner. There were a lot of cobwebs!
Perfect cottage tucked away in a small village. Everything you need for a weeks break. Attentive hosts. Beautifully decorated.
This is an outstanding property … exactly what was needed for our large party + 4 dogs. We had an impromptu ‘dog agility’ event in the spacious garden (soon overtaken by two small children!) and the dining and sitting areas are perfect for a large party. Walks from the door and dog friendly beaches only 10 minutes - what more could we ask for?
Broads Cottage is a lovely place to stay and has very comfortable beds and sofas and 2 great showers and a super deep bath! We were a bit worried about the garden being next to the road through the village but it was so quiet we didn’t need to worry. The dogs were relaxed in the garden and hardly a car or person went past. The garden is secure for most dogs, as long as your dog doesn’t jump or try and escape. Lovely walks along the Broads from the door, beaches just a 15 minute drive away. A friendly small local shop and a dog friendly pub a very short walk away which served great food. Gat...more
This property goes beyond Dog Friendly. Having stayed in other places "where dogs are welcome" there is such a difference when staying at a property like this which is set up for your dogs canine comfort but still caters superbly for humans too. The peace of mind of a secure garden with sunny and shady spots, multiple seating areas in the garden. Dog bowls, spare leads, dog toys, etc, some lovely locally made dog biscuits and goodies for us too in a lovely welcome hamper. Superb facilities, very well maintained, very clean and tidy, which makes for a wonderful restful, and thoroughly enjoyabl...more
Thanks for a great week! We loved our stay at The Crib, what a nice cottage and the garden was just perfect for us and our hounds, especially or nervous rescue. Really quiet (didn't expect that as it's on the main road through the village...) and only a very short walk down to the beach & cliff top walks. We also had really nice weather so were able to make the most of the sunny garden and had breakfast in the garden most days. Lots of nice artwork in every room and lots of things for the dogs - who loved the many beds that were provided... Apologies, ran out of time to write in the ...more
Really beautiful bungalow we had a comfortable stay and everything we needed, hot tub was lovely. However we did not like Scratby at all, very disappointing and not at all our cup of tea, think we have been too spoilt in the past staying at lovely Winterton on sea just up the road, but Scratby is worlds apart and we would definitely not choose to go there again unfortunately. Can’t fault Easton Rushton cottages though, always great to deal with and the best at being dog friendly! Was a bit worried about keeping the noise of our dogs down as reactive dog next door to this bungalow too whi...more
Lovely annex, well equipped. Tracie was very welcoming. Lovely cake and goodies supplied. Good base to explore the surrounding area.
The farmhouse is a large, dog friendly house with two games rooms. We enjoy our time at the farmhouse this is our second visit we are a small family but this house gets us together and off phones and i pads. Playing Pool and darts are our main games and we have other family members who we visit when in Norfolk so they also come and enjoy the games rooms. When the farmhouse is full of people it’s large enough for everyone to find something to do or find a space for quiet chill out time or a chat.
Our first time in this cottage and we love it! Lots of lovely goodies for the dogs and humans to enjoy. Plenty of room for everyone, the children loved the garden, so did we. The cottage is very comfortable and practical; we all liked the pictures on the walls! Kitchen is so well equipped, which was so helpful with lots to feed. Even had chairs for the beach - so thoughtful. And the games came in handy too. Hope to return to this lovely cottage
This is a great holiday stay, literally 50m from the beach. Super clean throughout and one of the most doggie friendly places we've stayed - with toys and throws, a place to wash up outside (off the beach!) and a secure outside area. It was great for our boys to be able to wander to the beach for a couple of hours play and stroll back. The beach - apart from the bit immediately in front of the house - is dog-friendly too. One of the best fish n chip shops I've eaten at was 50m away and two good pubs also walkable. Really good communications leading up to the stay and a well equipped kitchen.
We use East Ruston Cottages for accomodation in Norfolk as their places are always very dog friendly, and Beachcomber has all a dog might need: bowls, rugs, wiping cloths/towels, poo bags and some lovely treats. Beachcomber has beds for 5 people, a large bathroom with bath and shower, and a downstairs toilet. The kitchen diner is a good size, the lounge might be a bit snug for 5. Parking for 1 car on the drive. The garden is not very big and has paving slabs and gravel, no grass, but who needs grass when the vast dunes are just round the corner A few minutes walk and you can be on the beach, ...more
We loved our stay here. First of all, the cottage is spacious! We came with our 2 German Shepherd dogs and there was plenty of room to move around. The garden was lovely to sit in and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sunshine. Highly recommend the bakery down the road. The beach is super close which makes for some lovely walks, we visited good old Yarmouth only a short drive away and also Winterton-on-sea which is super pretty. We loved Brigg cottage and would stay again!
We just spent 5nts at Rooster Barn with our 3 little dogs and what a wonderful time we had. The barn and garden were just perfect for us all, we also took our elderly mother who loved it just as much. The area is in a quiet location but easy access to explore Norfolk. The welcome pack was a lovely and generous touch and enjoyed by everyone. We will deffo be returning to one of your properties in the near future for some more relaxation time xx
We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It’s exceptionally well-equipped, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully laid out to make you feel right at home. Every little detail had been considered, which made for a very relaxing and comfortable break. The location is peaceful and scenic, being so close to the glorious Bacton beach – perfect for long dog walks either way, towards Mundesley or Happisburgh. All the beaches along the coast were a short drive and offered something different, and many were ideal for off-lead exploring. Our dogs absolutely loved it, and we were amazed at h...more
This is our second holiday at winterton on sea in skylark. . It’s a beautiful home from home. . Everything you should possibly need is catered for . Love it , and Will undoubtedly go again
We booked a short stay at short notice at Swallowdale as we hadn't been away since March. Lovely bungalow located not far from the North Norfolk coast. Everything we needed was provided.... even a paddling pool for the dog which he was thrilled about! Very clean and well maintained and very dog friendly. Would highly recommend.
Perfect holiday. Gorgeous cottage, welcome hamper, great location and could walk to the beach from the door, perfect!
We had a lovely week at Boundary Lodge, so many great beaches and walks. The garden was perfect for the dogs, completely enclosed.
The title says it all, but here goes. Stunning interior, the kitchen/dining room and the living area are spacious and super comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The downstairs bed is very comfortable. The garden is well enclosed and ideal for the dogs. There are lovely walks along Weavers Way just 10 minutes walk away. It’s quite, rural, the owner is a very friendly, helpful chap (popped in to say goodbye as he saw we were leaving - and make sure we were happy). Close to some very quiet sandy beaches. Second time we’ve stayed here.
A fantastic week in our happy place. Every detail and more is thought of for you and your dogs . We have a reactive rescue that completely relaxes and chills here . Sue and her team are amazing and we would not stay with anyone other than East Ruston Cottages Already booked for next year . Counting the days to our next holiday.
Had a much needed 5 day break in East Cottage, Walnut Farm, Waxham. It was everything we hoped for. We have an exempt XL Bully and the secure high-fenced (landscaped for us and him) gave us great peace of mind to let him have freedom in the garden. Walks to the beach mapped out on a little welcoming postcard along with walks around the farm. Everywhere was very clean and extremely ‘home from home’ . The Welcoming pack was well-received and enjoyed! If our dog could talk he would say that the owners had definitely thought of his needs too, toys, bowls, treats, lounge rugs and great garden/groun...more
We enjoyed our stay at Farthing Cottage, it was suitable for our dog and the garden was very secure. Trunch is a good central location, we visited some lovely sandy beaches, found some fabulous local pubs and hired a boat for the day on the Broads.
We had a delightful long weekend at Badger's Retreat. We had rain and sun in equal measure but were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the garden and surrounding area. The road going past it has about one car a day. The Weavers Way is 5 minutes walk away and the beautiful beaches a short drive away. We walked to the Swan in Stalham which was very good and also went to Smallsticks and Poppylands cafes which were excellent. When it rained it was cosy to sit and read in the conservatory. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The fully enclosed garden was enjoyed by my spaniel too. ...more
We went to Vineyard Cottage for a short stay for a treat for my mother in law. Having 5 small dogs between us and not wanting to leave them we were please to find this cottage to house us and our fur babies. The stay was comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed. Customer service was excellent. Was a little bit disappointed when the Tesco delivery driver mentioned that it was an air bnb and when I looked it seemed cheaper to have gone through them. But I never thought to look or compare at the time of booking. Cannot fault the stay at all. Recommend this cottage for your furry vacati...more
Had a lovely week at Red Roofs , the location was great and the dogs all enjoyed the huge garden . Lots of good walks nearby and good pubs and restaurants. The house was equipped with everything we needed .
The house is great and the garden is so spacious and perfect for dogs due to being fenced in all the way.
Lovely peaceful cottage, great location. East Cottage has a beautiful large garden both hoomins & dogs enjoyed. It was lovely to listen to the birds in the garden first thing in the morning. The hot tub was amazing & we had perfect weather with only 1/2 days rain. The beds were incredibly comfortable & we all had a great nights sleep.
Great place, the walks are wonderful, lovely goodies thank you. Only thing negative is the hot water temperature is so hot it was hard to set the shower at a bareable temp. The enclosed garden big bonus. We would stay again.
