Stuart and Laura have been amazing hoists from moment booked to moment left. The ivy has everything you could possibly need. With a teen and a dog the property is ideal. Peaceful for reactive dogs. Games table and hot tub is great for teen. Down a very peaceful lane, the property is ideally located for as much or as little that you want to do. 2nd time booking with ERC will be booking again
The Lookout is a fabulous holiday home. Right on the coastal path and beach. It has everything you need especially if you like cooking. So many places to visit fairly close by. Woods, Felbrigg Hall and various cafes . would not hesitate in returning.
Our first holiday away with Digger. We didn’t know how he would cope but he settled right in and so did we. This is a beautiful place and so well thought through. Tiny details that made it a wonderful holiday. The cottage is comfortable and truly dog friendly. The welcome pack for us was amazing- such tasty treats and the dog basket was brilliant. Digger loved all the toys and the dog paddock. It was great that he was allowed on the sofa - one of his favourite places. Paul and Stella were great hosts and so helpful.
We keep coming back to Malthouse Barn. Why? Because we get a very warm welcome. This time we were in midst of a heatwave and we were lucky to get an early check in and a late check out to help us manage the transportation of 6 hot dogs between holiday bookings. Forever grateful for this. The high walls around the back garden and the secure front garden/parking means our lead escape artist accepts the fact she cannot jump that high! As two humans who love space, we love to spread out and Malthouse has space in abundance- lots of open plan areas with a huge porch area with plenty of hooks (I do...more
The Peanut is a lovely quiet home from home for two plus pooches. Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible with quality facilities and fittings. Paul & Stella are so welcoming and are immediately on hand if needed. The Peanut is absolutely perfect for dogs with a lovely grassy secure paddock immediately adjacent. Lovely furnished secure patio and hot tub are just perfect if weather permits. It’s a great set up for groups of family or friends with three individual properties on site. Highly recommended for a quiet peaceful luxury dog friendly break
We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Jack's Shack. The owner has thought of everything and provided the most Excellent Experience.
Really couldn't have been made any better, top draw accommodation. If it was mine i would be moving back in too!
We had a lovely stay in a very well-equipped and extremely dog friendly cottage. My only grumble os that the second bedroom is too small for two full sized neds and not suitable for two adults.
We had the most wonderful stay in Manor Barn. The house and garden are truly dog friendly, our Cocker Spaniel and friend's 2 Terriers were so happy there and we were so relaxed with the kitchen door open, they could wander in and out without worrying about them escaping. Our cocker sleeps in a crate and there was choice of 4 different sizes, a joy not having to pack one in the car. Dog bowls (plenty), dog towels and everything you could need are all supplied. You literally only need to bring their food and beds. The Barn is located in a lovely area for dog walks, with a beach within walking...more
My stay in Sea Urchin with a friend and our two dogs was ideal. It was quite a hot week so we walked early with our furry friends then again in the evening. We didn’t move the car all week, just enjoyed the tranquillity, watched the birds, spotted a couple of seals and had excellent coffee in Sea Palling. The accommodation met all our needs and our host greeted us on arrival having sent explicit directions and he brought the time forward to when we could get in.
We absolutely loved Oak Cottage. It had everything we needed for us and our two greyhounds. We’re fussy about sleeping arrangements and this suited us (and the dogs) perfectly. Having the beds made up with dog friendly bed linen meant we didn’t have to bring ours with us which was great. Everything was clean, bright and in good condition. The kitchen was so well equipped with everything you could need for meals, as well as plenty of cleaning products, refuse sacks, foil, cling film, dishwasher tablets etc. Easy to use oven, which is a bonus for me. The bathroom had nice hand wash, shower gel a...more
Nice quiet site for a few days away. Great for hearing and seeing the sea, good for walks along the beach and around the country lanes. Our dog thought it was home from home!
Really lovely 2 bed bungalow, everything you need for a lovely break with your furry friends. The paddock is great to let the dogs play. Our setter pup made friends with guests in the two other properties dogs..
This was our second stay here, and it did not disappoint! The cottage was spotlessly clean, superb welcome pack, and as before, exceedingly dog friendly. The facilities ate all you could possibly wish for, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough
Dormy was everything I had hoped for and more! The house is just lovely and in the perfect place for a truly dog friendly break. Everything we could have possibly needed was provided, exceptionally well furnished and comfortable. It really is completely dog friendly which made for a very relaxing break for us and the dog! Great location with wonderful beaches and costal walks on the doorstep. I would not hesitate in recommending it and very much hope to return sometime in the future.
Stones Throw is a very clean and comfortable bungalow in a quiet location. The bungalow has a secure garden and is very dog friendly. It’s a short walk to a beautiful beach which was fantastic for our young and energetic dog. Bacton Woods and Pigneys Woods are not far away and perfect for walking during the hot weather. Local cafes, shop, pub, two fish and chip shops and a Chinese takeaway in walking distance. We really enjoyed our visit to North Norfolk very much and would love to return again. After reading lots of reviews we can definitely confirm that East Rushton Cottages delivered on ...more
A perfect retreat for dogs and their humans. One of the dogs is depressed to be back home! Brilliant garden for dogs playing and peple lounging. Loved the conservatory but such good weather we rarely used it. Quiet location and easy access to local walks and amenities. Lots to do, country estates, coastal walks, nature reserves and the broads all close. Owner friendly and helpful. Best holiday in years.
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
We wanted a relaxing break with our three dogs and Ruby Gem exceeded our needs. We are regular Norfolk visitors and although we could have done lots of sightseeing (to other beaches etc etc) we just wanted to stay put this time. Winterton-on-Sea and Ruby Gem made this so easy. Everything we needed was provided for us at the cottage so no need to dash out for essentials on arrival. Fantastic welcome pack. Cottage is beautiful, cosy but with plenty of room for our dogs (and us) to get comfy. Garden has good height fences and hedging. Side gate was a bit lower but our jumper stayed safe. Winterto...more
Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bristow Barn, we love the location being a little out of the way we don’t have to worry about our reactive Labrador and we can relax . We will look forward to our fifth visit probably in early autumn. Sheila
Superb cottage close to beach, shop, pub and chippy. Only downside was bathroom downstairs. Nice welcome pack
Stunning views, quiet location and a beautiful garden. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and would definitely recommend.
The Grove is perfect for me. It's on one floor, it is not too big, but very comfortable and cosy. To cap it all it has a lovely, large, fully enclosed rear garden with different areas to sit in so you can follow the sun or the shade at different times of the day. It's in a lovely rural location, a few minutues from Bacton Woods and only 5 minutes from the coast. My 3 toy poodles, one of which can be reactive, absolutely love it here. They fully relax, so therefore so can I. No hesitation in recommending The Grove.
Everything was perfect. Opening the gate from private parking area at the back took my breath away - the garden is so long and flanked by hedges, wild plants and trees. My vast amount of luggage (my dogs do not travel light!) meant I did a lot of trips up and down the garden path so I invested in a trolley for check out day. Haha. All the decorations were dog themed which was lovely and when they were not exploring the garden, my dogs enjoyed snoozing in the cool living room. Everything has been well thought through for a great stay with dogs. I was genuinely sad to leave this wonderfully pea...more
We have just had a great week at The Forge with our dog. Accommodation was first class, well equipped and had everything needed to make our stay very comfortable. The welcome pack for us and a separate one for our dog was excellent. Lauren’s suggested itinerary was brilliant and very useful and helped us find lots of lovely dog friendly beaches in the area. If you are looking for dog friendly accommodation in Norfolk we would recommend here.
It's hard to sum things up in a short piece of writing. The best place for dogs we have EVER stayed in. We felt so relaxed. So much to do you don't even need to leave the house. The welcome pack was supreme and Tim and Tricia gave us a lovely tour on arrival. It's in a lovely setting where you feel you are far away from noise, nice and secluded yet only about 10 minutes from a lovely town. Couldn't fault it
The whole experience was excellent. The house was gorgeous and the area lovely. This was the first holiday with our dogs and will do it again.
Great place, well equipped only problem we had was the demolition of a building in the farmyard !! Noise and dust was horrendous, so much so that we moved properties half way through the week !!
A lovely spacious cottage a short drive to Cart Gap beach and a short walk to a dog friendly pub. It had most of what we needed but I would've loved a pouffe to rest my feet on when on the sofa- my feet were too far off the ground to be comfortable. Plenty of parking and plenty of hot water from the shower. Lovely welcome basket of goodies for us and our mutt. He approved of the raised feeder and water dish.
Lovely little place, short walk from the beach. Very generous welcome gifts for humans and dogs, beds were comfy, kitchen had everything you would need. Dogs loved having two enclosed gardens to play and lay in, nice size drive so vehicles weren’t on the road. Loved our stay here and will definitely be booking again.
Very much enjoyed our return visit to beachcomber. The hosts were very helpful and thoughtful. The welcome gift was a lovely surprise and enjoyed when celebrating my good news. Nothing was too much trouble and property was just as good as we had remembered. Will hopefully be back in the future.
An amazing house on the beach track at Bacton - everything you need from a holiday home and more. Great location literally metres from the beach with virtually no passing traffic and fantastic to hear the sea from the garden and see it from upstairs windows. The dogs absolutely loved the enclosed garden and we knew they were safe and couldn't get out, and again everything you need for a brilliant holiday, even dog beds and home made dog treats left for us. We will absolutely be back.
Nice property in a lovely, quaint village, 5 mins walk from village pub. Handy location for visiting other villages and beaches. Very well equipped with kitchen 'stuff' (including washing machine and pegs for the whirly), books, games, dvds etc. Plenty space to park right outside the barn in the garden. Looking rather tired inside and feel that quality of bedding and towels could be a lot better. That said, it was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.
Myself and my friends had a lovely time at Woodpecker cottage with our dogs. The owners have thought of literally everything you could need for a stay. The Property is very comfortable for both dogs and humans. Nearby area has a lovely dog friendly beach, and few places to get food with a handy shop across the road and short drive to some nice pubs and restaurants. Would highly recommend Woodpecker Lodge.
Small but perfectly formed! This is a great little cottage to stay in for a holiday. It has everything that you would need wrapped up into one small little package. The beach is at the end of the road, with convenience stores nearby. Plenty to look at and see for everyone. I would definitely recommend.
A big Thankyou for the flexibility on check in due to heatwave. Dogs enjoyed being unloaded into a spacious and shady garden. Very much appreciated by all of us! We loved the personalised welcome message on the blackboard and the goodie tray. That’s always fun - checking out the yummy treats! We enjoyed the lack of traffic noise here and the very dark nights. We slept well in the comfy bed. Our dogs enjoyed the coolness of the hallway. It’s a cosy place which was beyond spotless and has a lovely sunny kitchen. The garden gate is worth a mention. It’s truly dog-proof. Really well designed l...more
A very last minute booking at this East Ruston Cottages property. A lovely bungalow in a quiet location. Excellent welcome hamper, full of delicious goodies and treats for the dogs. The property has special flooring for dogs (non slip) which was a great addition for our elderly dog. Also, in the garage was almost everything you can think of to make your holiday with your dog as easy as possible, steps for the sofa, buggies for dogs, doggy hair dryer, and much more. We had a lovely stay and had several visits to the beach. Would definitely recommend this property
A wonderful place to go to for a peaceful holiday,a realy well thought out chalet, and plenty ofdog bowls, great walks and close to Winterton village, also a realy nice dog friendly cafe,we will be going back there again, its our go to place, from now on,happy days.
Beautiful cottage, wonderful garden for our dogs & very spacious accommodation. We loved our stay & would definitely return. Loved the walk to the beach from the cottage. Worth noting that the country lane outside the cottage was busy when we stayed but the cottage doesn’t face the road & you’re not aware of the cars. It’s so peaceful in the cottage & the garden. The provision of fans would be good. We brought our own thankfully but it was a bit of a packing challenge! In summary we loved the cottage & it was perfect for our dogs. If we return to the area we’ll definitely rebook.
Our 3rd stay at The Lodge albeit a long weekend this time. Spotlessly clean, a fabulous welcome hamper, a super comfy bed, perfect walks from the door but most importantly, incredibly dog friendly. What's not to love! I'm sure we'll be back.
Really enjoyed our week at this beautifully renovated cottage. Walking the dogs by the marina was a treat for them and us. Local beaches in easy reach by car and many were almost empty and dog friendly. A perfect location for a week away in early autumn
Brilliant place to stay we had the best breakaway & Kerry & Kevin are the perfect hosts 5* . Nothing too much trouble and although they live onsite they never intruded on our stay. It was an amazing place exactly what we needed to de-stess and just chill. Beautiful views across the countryside . Brilliant walks , although very much in the countryside , tesco’s and shops less than 10 mins away . Our little dog loved the fully enclosed garden and there was everything we needed in the cottage . We can’t wait to return . Thank you both for making our stay so perfect xx
The cottage was very well presented with everything that you could need. It was very clean and the owners were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this cottage.
If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet stay this is the place for you. The entire site , 2 cottages, 2 static caravans and various pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes is one of the most clean, well kept sites I have ever visited .Dogs were well catered for in all properties and there is even a secure fenced field for their use too. Situated on a working farm ( minimal noise) with an easy 10 /15 min walk across the field and dunes to the beautiful quiet Waxham beach where you will find seals relaxing on the sands. Plenty of dog walks in the area and other lovely places to visit. Have s...more
A very dog friendly holiday home. However, there was, nowhere to hang coats, no drawers in bedrooms. No clothes airer. No non slip shower mat. We asked the owner if we could park our cars away from the trees as our cars were covered in pigeon poop. We were given a less than satisfactory answer to park further away from the caravan.
The cottage was generally comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was excellent and spotlessly clean. There was a nice welcome basket although the addition of a pint of milk would have made it perfect! Considering how dog friendly the property is there was no sign of dogs having been there in terms of dog hair etc which I know is no mean feat. However there was quite a lot of dust around the place which was a shame as it didn’t feel as clean because of this and some of the cupboards and equipment could have benefited from a wipe out/clean. In terms of location there are some nice walks b...more
We have been before and love it. Totally secure garden for the dogs. It’s clean and comfortable and a nice quiet short walk to the beach where the seals were hanging out. Only reason for 4 * was no towels and no response on that. Would recommend.
We ( John, Kim and dogs Rocket and Bobby ) enjoyed a fabulous week at Sunny Cottage. The cottage is perfectly located in the village that itself has the essential amenities - a shop and a pub. The enclosed garden was a real bonus for the dogs and the property itself was clean and comfortable and included thoughtful little touches for the dogs.
Apart from the fantastic location a major reason for choosing Red Roofs was the large enclosed garden which was ideal for our lovely dog. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We visited nearby nature reserve and all the adjacent beaches. All in all an ideal holiday.
We had a great time At Fenside. It was a little piece of heaven. Very well equipped and comfortable. The best Wendy House ever.We did venture out to the beach and also a day boat on the Broad but would have been quite happy to stay and not use the car.
