Bumblebee is a well thought through modern cottage with lots of character. Paul and Stella are owners who clearly have a passion for their business. This is a great dog friendly property but doesn’t let the humans down either. Lots of mod cons, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. It’s in a quiet but accessible location. The facilities for dogs are great from the outside shower to paddock to lots of dog toys and throws. I really trust East Rushton Cottages on their choice for their portfolio and Bumblebee and Willow tree holidays are a winner. It came recommended by Sue for the qui...more
After following the renovation online it was great to come & stay here with the family. Such a beautiful, well designed barn. We arrived to a very generous welcome pack and felt at home straight away. Our dog loved the window seats and the fabulous walled garden. We enjoyed trips out to the nearby beaches, Bacton Woods, The Lighthouse Inn pub and seeing the seal pups at Horsey. It was so cosy sitting by the log fire and watching the snow falling out of the huge feature window. There are so many lovely touches in the barn - feature lighting, comfy furniture, roll top bath, coffee machine, very ...more
A wonderful, relaxing week at The Lobster. We loved absolutely everything about it - a great welcome pack, private path to the stunning beach, luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms & beautifully furnished. It is so well designed inside and out. Our dog really enjoyed the garden and the Charley Chau dog beds provided. We could happily have stayed put all week but did a few trips out to East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens, Bacton Woods, Eden in Stalham, Smallsticks, Watsons and the Gunton Arms. Another gem, thank you to the owners and team ERC. Really hope to return if we can get booked!
excellent location practically on the beach, the lookout is v nicely decorated throughout with plenty of decorative touches spotless and comfortable for both people and puppers after days out I can't recommend Sally enough for all the support and communication she provided Bacton itself is a little gem of a place, if like us you have a reactive dog you will love the quiet wide beaches with plenty of space for everyone even during Aug BH weekend plenty of excellent walks to be had but also perfect to simply chill in the sun room overlooking the beach with a chilled glass of wine After...more
We absolutely LOVED our short break at Thatched Cottage. The owners had thought of everything, and it was so clean, warm, welcoming and very well equipped. The dog beds and bowls were really useful. Huge comfy sofa, very comfortable bed, excellent shower, and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Very private and secure back garden, huge front garden perfect for non-escapee dogs! Great location with Roy’s of Wroxham a short walk away and some great eating places. 20 minute drive to the dog friendly beaches! Very highly recommend this lovely cottage and would love to come back. Thank you!...more
We had a very relaxing break at Peanut cottage, which was spotlessly clean.Everything you need is provided here, from the exceptional welcome basket filled with local produce + tea ,coffee &milk and a basket of goodie’s for the dogs, there’s a quiet courtyard at the peanut with hot tub and an enclosed grass paddock for the dogs.Paul and Stella certainly go the extra mile to make your stay a memorable one.We will certainly return to one of their cottages.
What a fabulous place to stay, from the location, to the facilities to everything thought of for the dogs, we really cannot fault Jack's Shack. The kitchen was so well equipped, the bed super comfy with quality bed linen and pillows and everywhere was spotless and furnished to a lovely standard which felt very homely. The log burner was easy to light with logs provided. We loved to be able to walk out the back directly onto the dunes but still so close to the fish shop, pub and tea room all literally a 2/3 mins walk. Everything has been thought of and we are very much looking forward to ano...more
This is a brilliant cottage, particularly if you have dogs. The facilities are excellent, and we were all made very welcome. Everything had been thought of, and the welcome packs for the dogs and humans were lovely, far more than you would expect. We would thoroughly recommend, and hope to go back.
Manor Barn is a beautiful property sleeping up to 6 people. We were just two adults and two large dogs so just used the ground floor during our stay. Everything we could need was provided with an excellently equipped kitchen, plenty of logs and kindling for the log burner, and a fab welcome basket of local produce. The garden and courtyard were secure and ideal for our two large reactive dogs, who settled in well. Very dog friendly place and we’d love to return in warmer weather to enjoy the outside space more.
Nice owners. Good space available for exercising dogs. Overall comfortable. Easy access to many places.
Excellent cottage, lovely and peaceful with great views, beautiful cottage equipped to a very high standard.
The location is great. Short walk over the dunes onto the beach. Lovely comfort in the house. Lots of throws so the dogs can sit cuddling after long beach walks. Plenty of sofas for adults and dogs. Great log burner which we brought wood for and kept the living room really warm. Good entrance lobby with a fridge freezer to keep dog food in. Loved the fenced gardens to let dogs go toilets safely especially at night. Would love to return but see the prices have gone up dramatically for 2025.
We stayed in Dormy twice now and we plan to return. The bungalow is newly refurbished with comfortable bedrooms and open plan lounge dinning and kitchen area. The location of the property is just perfect at the back of the dunes and only a short 3 minute walk from the dog-friendly and quiet beach. The fully enclosed gardens at the front and back are great for our 4 dogs giving them plenty of space to run around. We love coming back to Dormy to recharge and stay in this peaceful and quiet area of Norfolk.
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
We love the Ruby Gem cottage. We received a warm welcome for our wedding anniversary with banners and balloons. The welcome pack was amazing. It is very dog friendly and our 3 pooches loved it. The weather was very cold but the cottage was warm and cosy. We ordered a dog pushchair for our aging Westie from ERC and this helped her not miss out on the lovely walks around the dunes
Arrived late in the evening after a very long journey, tired and cold. White cottage had lights and heating on so it was perfectly cosy and immaculately clean, very welcoming. Had made contact with the owner beforehand as requested, she was so helpful and checked we had arrived OK and no problems. A lovely welcome pack and everything you could nerd for dogs and humans. The garden was very secure and beautifully maintained. Secure gates at the front too, perfect for loading and unloading dogs safely. With no adjacent neighbours it was just perfect for reactive dogs and not a hint of fire...more
This was the second time we have stayed at Bristows Barn, and it didn’t disappoint. The barn was so clean and we felt at home straight away. The owner was so welcoming, and has thought of everything to make this a truly dog friendly place to stay. The location is wonderful, so close to weavers way, and a short drive to the lovely beaches. Can’t wait to book again.
All the little touches is what made this cottage one of the best for stays with dogs. Fresh produce for humans, including some gluten free mince pies for me. Milk, tea, coffee and bread all provided. Christmas decorations up made a welcoming touch when we arrived! A basket with treats and toys for the dogs! Cannot recommend highly enough! This is our 6th stay in one of East Ruston properties and we will be returning again and again! Fabulous!
A fantastic property definitely 5* luxury, high standard of furnishings, superb comfy beds, everything you could possibly need and above for a comfortable stay, the humans loved the dog beds as much as the dog,the hot tub a great addition at the end of the day.Very spacious and loved the underfloor heating. Great restaurants and takeaways with in easy reach, an ideal base for the beach 10 minutes walk and visiting the seals.Great communication throughout, loved the welcome basket. No negative points whatsoever and would highly recommend. Can’t wait to return.
The welcome pack was amazing. Fab chocolate cake and all the other unexpected bit. Top marks. A couple of issues with the boiler and hot water soon fixed by Anne. We had a lovely stay and the cottage is truly dog friendly. Minstrel had a fab time. We did find it was a bit full of dog hairs under the sofa and chairs in living room but that’s down to the cleaners. Toilet wasn’t sparkly clean either. At the end of the day we really enjoyed our stay at a difficult time with the bad weather. Log burner was super cosy. Once we understood how to get hot water working all was good. Would ...more
We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Primary reason for going away was to avoid fireworks, which was completely fulfilled. We had some great walks on the beach where our dog could run and play off lead. Excellent place for anyone with dogs.
This is our second stay at The Grove and we’ve already booked for next year and 2026. A beautifully clean property with a large well kept, secure garden. Quiet walks from the door and a short drive to the coast but I actually walked the distance on two occasions. There’s everything we needed at the property along with plenty of supplies of doggy toys, leads, all manner of essentials incase you forget anything. EV charging in the immediate area is poor for rapid charging but we used a local one which is a 50kw charger but there’s only one, listed in the information from East Rushton Cottag...more
This was a return visit to The Crib and was just as good as we remembered it. There were lovely walks straight from the cottage either to the beach, along the cliff top paths or local footpaths. We had everything we needed in the property and more. The welcome pack was exceptional and delicious! Such a comfortable, cosy cottage with an open fire (and a huge basket of logs, kindling etc). The garden was safe and secure and I never worried about letting our dogs out there as I knew they couldn’t escape. We had a wonderful time and will definitely book again in the future.
Beautiful place to stay plenty of safe space for dogs to run around well equipped cottage. The only thing i would say been a barn is noise floor boards above the ground floor bed room and noise doors. Could do with changeing the double bed to a king size bed as I found the double to small .but very warm at rooster barn and comfortable
We have visited on many occasions over the last few years and have never been disappointed beautiful in every season the hosts are always there if you need anything x we will be booking again for next year. My husband and grown up kids love all the games available and I enjoy the lovely peace and quiet. Thanks for having us again x
This was our first time away with our resuce GSD Reggie. He's anxious and reactive to animals and people he doesn't know .But he's not noise reactive he can quite happily hear dogs barking or people talking as long as he's in a safe haven . Boundary Lodge was absolutely perfect for him he was perfectly relaxed , loved the large garden he felt safe. Places to go were within easy reach short car drive his favourite place was Winterton on Sea with the miles of sand dunes he had a wail of a time there , it was wonderful to see him so chilled and relaxed to the point of him not reacting to anyt...more
We had a great stay at Wagtail Cottage- it’s clean, warm and well equipped for people and dogs! Quiet and secure garden, driveway next to the house for easy loading/unloading. Great location, owners were friendly and responsive to any queries, and provided OS maps and guides for the local area. The ERC team were also responsibe and the app was useful to find places to go.
Beautiful house, perfect location so close to the beach in a lovely little village. Very dog friendly pub The Fisherman’s Return within 4 minutes walk.
What a lovely cottage and everything was perfect for dogs Buster 1yr old springer spaniel,Barney 9 month old Labrador and us two humans, a short walk and you are on the beach, coffee and bacon rolls from Scratby Bakery are just the best and so are their cakes, lots of great places locally to visit and very dog friendly.
This was our fourth time here, it's like our second home we absolutely love it here. The welcome pack for us and our dogs are brilliant. The owners have thought of everything you need. The location for us is ideal it's not far from anything and they have a folder for things to do and go. Definitely be coming back
Swallowfield is very well equipped, and was warm with comfortable beds. The back garden is 100% dog proof, and sniffy. The area is very quiet, and central to lots of places to visit. A nice welcome pack for both humans and dog. Had a nice meal at the pub in the village.
I’m losing count how many times we’ve now stayed at this fabulous very dog friendly cottage . So cosy , comfortable and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door , it’s certainly a place to relax and unwind for humans and dogs . Definitely our happy place !
Basic accommodation. Very clean. Lovely touch of apple juice and cookies left for us. Lots provided like washing up liquid, loo roll etc. Extremely dog friendly, throws and bowls provided. Would best suit just a couple with two dogs. The site is very well maintained and perfect for dog walks across the sand dunes to the beach straight from the front door with no roads to cross. This makes up for no private garden. Our third stay, because it works for us and our dogs. Shower isn't brilliant, and only plug in heaters. Can get cold and feel damp in colder months.
Our 4th stay here 6 adults 5 dogs. Everything we needed right there the dogs love the large garden and the house is perfect for walks and beach days. We will definitely be back next year. Everything you could need in the kitchen for family meals and lounge large enough to all sit on an evening.
Lovely dwelling with very good size garden. Well maintained. Only grumble was TV could be upgraded to a smart TV.
Lovely cottage in the heart of the village of Trunch, very dog and human friendly. Easy walks from the cottage, pub just up the road and 10min drive to the beach.
Had a fantastic holiday beautiful location. Very peaceful not far from the beaches. This was my second visit and will stay again. All my six dogs had a wonderful time as well
Great cosy cottage, just the right size for two. Very comfortable and compact, well equipped and a lovely secure garden for our dogs. Within easy reach of the beaches and woods and Weavers Way almost on the doorstep so plenty of choice for walks. Best of all no fireworks nearby to upset our older dog so we all had relaxed evenings throughout the week. Hosts Terri and Richard were most welcoming and the thoughtful welcome pack was much appreciated.
Felt so chilled & relaxed from the moment we arrived. Fantastic welcome pack. Ideal location for dog walking (& dog friendly beaches a short drive away), bird watching or just enjoying the view over the broad. Now the Pleasure boat Inn has reopened there are 2 dog friendly pubs within walking distance. East Rushton Cottages is by far the friendliest & most helpful letting agency I have dealt with
House and gardens were wonderful, we had a great stay! Just watch out for potholes in the run up to the property!
