Bumblebee is very lovely - really comfortable and well thought out accommodation with a great hot tub and of course the dog paddock. An easy walk to the coast and the Star pub - what could be better? Thanks to Paul and Stella who are excellent hosts and thanks for the welcome pack - Daisy the greyhound just loves the dog treats. Thoroughly recommended.
A fabulous holiday cottage, even better than the photos . A generous welcome pack, kind helpful hosts. Our dogs loved the field and the assortment of toys .

What an incredibly cosy place Malthouse Farm Barn is. Stunning open living space with wonderful padded window seats for the dogs (& humans) to enjoy. Large, comfy beds & fully enclosed rear garden & parking area. Lovely welcome hamper & thoughtful extras like ice cubes, dog leads, bowls, towels & treats. Lots of hanging spaces for coats, hats etc and lovely wooden benches to sit on in the hallway & boot room when you want to take off your boots after a long walk. The heated dog shower in the shed is fantastic. Rick & Ally live next door and are available should you need them but they do no...more
A wonderful, relaxing week at The Lobster. We loved absolutely everything about it - a great welcome pack, private path to the stunning beach, luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms & beautifully furnished. It is so well designed inside and out. Our dog really enjoyed the garden and the Charley Chau dog beds provided. We could happily have stayed put all week but did a few trips out to East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens, Bacton Woods, Eden in Stalham, Smallsticks, Watsons and the Gunton Arms. Another gem, thank you to the owners and team ERC. Really hope to return if we can get booked!
Perfect cosy cottage at the back of a farm that offers camping and pitches. Easy to get to Horsey to see the seals and I discovered more wonderful tearooms! Woodburner was fantastic addition, but the cottage was nice and warm anyway. Garden is huge for a semi detached cottage! Thank you for having us.
Have just returned from this wonderful place and honestly can’t wait for our next visit. The accommodation is spacious, thoughtfully & elegantly designed and super clean. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has all the appliances, gadgets and utensils you could possibly need and more. There’s a powerful shower, comfortable bath and plentiful hot water which was great for relaxing after our daily adventures, walking to the nearest villages for lunch or coffee. The local area is full of great places to eat, we loved the Lighthouse Inn, Watsons and the Kingfisher cafe - all within easy wa...more

We had a lovely time at Thatched cottage ,the cottage had everything you need very cosy and comfortable x The location was excellent not far from the broads and the beaches and of course the shops
Jacks Shack was wonderful! We had a fabulous long weekend. Caroline had thought of every home comfort for us and the dogs, I have not stayed anywhere before where the dogs have been so well catered for. The cottage is lovely, calm, quiet and in the most amazing location.. we loved having the dunes and beach outside of our back door. I am already searching for dates to come back!
Our first time in Norfolk. The Peanut is in a stunning spot. Great location. Lots of sandy beaches within 10 to 15 mins drive. There’s a very useful ‘secure’ paddock for your dogs but beware, if you have a jumper….. my setter had to stay on a longline as he would’ve easily cleared the height. Lovely and clean. Practical non slip flooring throughout and a wonderful welcome basket filled with all manner of goodies.
This is a brilliant cottage, particularly if you have dogs. The facilities are excellent, and we were all made very welcome. Everything had been thought of, and the welcome packs for the dogs and humans were lovely, far more than you would expect. We would thoroughly recommend, and hope to go back.
My second visit to Manor Barn and from the communication prior to arrival to the care and attention during my stay everything is spot on. The dog adore the space both inside and out and it is ideally placed for long walks down winding lanes, across fields and to the beach at Happisburgh. I could go on but really this cottage has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing and luxuriously comfortable holiday in a great location and with discreet but available hosts. Perfect for my boisterous team of dogs and perfect for me.
We had a wonderful week. Helped by fabulous weather most days. Cart Gap beach is nothing short of amazing and our Oscar loved it (as did we). The hosts, Paul and Stella are lovely and really helpful. We’re grateful to them for making everything so easy and welcoming. The arrival hamper had some lovely treats for all of us too - thank you. The hot tub is a brilliant addition to the property, we’d never used one before but it was a real novelty and we enjoyed it. The dog facilities are brilliant too and the paddock superb for having fun and games in in a safe environment. Overall, a lovely stay ...more
Lovely clean cottage, ideal location, dog field was perfect for our 5, weather unbelievable, sun every day
This was our second stay at delightful Dormy (the first having been to avoid fireworks). We love the great location, so close to the beach so not needing to necessarily use the car, but also not too far to travel for a day out. Cannot fault the accommodation - clean, well presented and equipped, comfortable, wonderful welcome pack, plenty of local information provided. Everything dogs and humans could possibly need to enjoy a chilled and relaxing holiday.
We had a wonderful break at Sand Drift. The location was absolutely ideal - 3 minutes walk to a sandy, quiet dog-friendly beach. A 10 minute walk to Happisburgh and a 20 minute walk to Sea Palling. The property was cosy but spacious enough for the 4 of us and 2 dogs. The welcome pack was the best I’ve ever had and it was so nice to have extra throws, towels, tea-towels and cleaning products all available, just in case, and not limited to the bare minimum. Would I definitely recommend for a peaceful break, but with the option of travelling not too far away for things to do!
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
Fabulous location and lovely comfy cottage with everything we needed for a great stay. Perfect for our reactive hound. Thankyou
Lovely cottage in a super village, all the shops ,po,cafe, provided everything needed. Cottage near the beach and dunes ,easy for dog walks, and the cafe on the beach is lovely. Only used the car once,as didn't need to go anywhere else. A really restful holiday Have booked for October, in HiddenGem,also in Winterton, as RubyGemwasnt free then.
We had a fabulous week at Bristow Barns, so relaxing and perfect for Baxter and Tilly our two Labradors therefore! The totally enclosed garden offered huge piece of mind as Tilly is an escape artist and jumper. The service provided by ERC is second to none. Having been badly let down by a rival company they sorted out accommodation out on the Friday evening for our arrival the following morning. It’s not surprising they are national winners 6years in a row!!!
This was our second, and most definitely not our last, visit to Hidden Gem. The cottage is warm, cosy and very dog friendly with lots of lovely walks direct from the back door over Winterton Dunes. Great location for a short walk to local shop, pub and fish and chips. A lovely cottage and already can’t wait for our next visit!
A fantastic property definitely 5* luxury, high standard of furnishings, superb comfy beds, everything you could possibly need and above for a comfortable stay, the humans loved the dog beds as much as the dog,the hot tub a great addition at the end of the day.Very spacious and loved the underfloor heating. Great restaurants and takeaways with in easy reach, an ideal base for the beach 10 minutes walk and visiting the seals.Great communication throughout, loved the welcome basket. No negative points whatsoever and would highly recommend. Can’t wait to return.
Cottage was comfortable clean and great location. The owner was so helpful and the place was extremely dog friendly. Walks to the beach were easily accessible and only took 15 minutes and your at the beach. Would highly recommend this property.
This was our second stay at The Grove. We’ve already booked our third stay for later this year. We have a rescue dog who can be fear reactive on lead and really really struggles with off lead dogs. We never thought we’d find somewhere like The Grove it’s very peaceful, welcoming and comfortable, so well equipped. Jeff relaxed so quickly and loved sunbathing on his bed in the beautiful, enclosed garden. The property is surrounded by peaceful country side but only a couple of miles to the coast. There are so many walks to enjoy. We were surrounded by birdsong and wild flowers. East Ruston Cottag...more
Lovely little cottage for the 2 of us and the dogs with everything we needed as it was such lovely weather the Conservatory was the most popular room in the cottage. Great location for visiting the area the beach at Walcott just across the road was fantastic for walking the dogs plenty of beach even at high tide Pub just a short walk away also cafe and fish and chip cafe and a village shop that has everything would recommend
We have 6 rescue pugs and our friends have 2 so finding somewhere near the beautiful beach that caters for dogs and finding somewhere that can be equipped enough the minute you mention 8 furries and 4 humans was perfect for us. Huge garden which has the sun pretty much all day was lovely and it was very secure, with parking right outside the backgate helped with the unpacking. We cannot recommend staying at The Crib enough we left yesterday and it was hard to leave, close to Happisburgh village shop where meeting Arthur and Queenie is a treat plus handy for gifts and any bits and bobs need...more
I stayed with friends and 2 dogs at The Farmhouse at the end of January, and we really enjoyed our stay. Warm, comfortable house with an amazing choice of games/activities (including a pool table, which we loved!), and set in a great location - few minutes drive (or longer walk) to beaches plus lots of interesting walks across country from the door. The Farmhouse is in a very peaceful location, too. The garden is fully secure and a good size for dogs and humans! The dog shower was brilliant for hosing down the dogs after muddy walks, and having the conservatory as an entrance made it super ...more
Lovely setting. Very comfortable cottage. As usual, dogs welcomed at no extra charge. We have two elderly dogs who adored the underfloor heating and seemed extremely comfortable sleeping on their beds most of the days. Our third dog is only 3 and very energetic and the large secure garden suited him as he could run and play fetch without danger he might escape. Throws are provided should your dogs want to sit on the furniture and as long as you bring bedding they can sleep on your bed if that's what they're used to. The owners provided a lovely welcome pack for humans and some treats for the d...more
On arriving at Brig cottage was happy to find a welcome package ,everything was clean & tidy .loved the dog cupboard and spare accessories for the pooch ,dogs have more travel items than toddlers .Very well situated for beach and pavement walks plus pub ,shop & chip shop.Scratby is a beautiful place for a relaxing time away from home.
We had the most wonderful stay at this charming holiday cottage! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Corner Cottage truly welcomes dogs—not just tolerates them. Our furry friend, Max (the Weimaraner)),was greeted with treats, a comfy dog bed, bowls and everything else doggie he could possibly need. It felt like they had thought of everything to make dogs feel at home. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches throughout. The Easter decorations and locally sourced goodies were a lovely touch. The fully enclosed garden was a huge bonu...more
We, three tall adults and three medium-sized dogs, stayed at Rooster Barn at the end of March. The owner kindly arranged for the online shopping we ordered to be unpacked by the housekeeping team, which was a nice touch. There was also a fabulous welcome pack (as is usual with ERC) awaiting us. We did have a couple of issues that took the shine off our stay. The upstairs bedroom has extremely low eaves, (making it impossible to stand at full height) and is accessed by a paddle staircase. Although this is mentioned in the property description, it is not as easy to navigate as is suggested, esp...more
We had a wonderful weekend at Beachcomber with our 6 year old Vizsla. The house was ‘dog perfect’ situated on a quiet road and just a few minutes walk from the wonderful dunes at Winterton. Plenty of space in the house with a well equipped kitchen and a small safe garden. We’ll be back!
Swallowdale is the most dog friendly place we have ever stayed, everything our cocker spaniel could need was there. He had a wonderful, relaxing stay (being a reactive dog he finds relaxing difficult at times). The area was so quiet and peaceful, a real home from home. Us humans also enjoyed our stay with a very well equipped kitchen and 4 of the best nights sleep we have had in a long time! We can also highly recommend Bacton Woods (only 10 minutes away) for some lovely dog walks. We all had a great holiday and will be booking with East Ruston Cottages again as the level of dog friendliness c...more
Our second stay at the lovely Seaview Cottage. We were welcomed back with a delicious homemade cheesecake, fresh flowers, local dog treats and the sound of the sea! Just a very short walk down to the beautiful Bacton beach. Perfect, secure garden for our escapee beagle and everything you could need for dogs is provided. We had trips out to Bacton Woods, Winterton, Colman's farm shop and the lovely Eden shop in Stalham. Lots of dog friendly cafes and restaurants nearby. The views from the upstairs bedrooms are wonderful and you just can't beat listening to the sea. Thank you Leonie & team ERC f...more
Basic accommodation. Very clean. Lovely touch of apple juice and cookies left for us. Lots provided like washing up liquid, loo roll etc. Extremely dog friendly, throws and bowls provided. Would best suit just a couple with two dogs. The site is very well maintained and perfect for dog walks across the sand dunes to the beach straight from the front door with no roads to cross. This makes up for no private garden. Our third stay, because it works for us and our dogs. Shower isn't brilliant, and only plug in heaters. Can get cold and feel damp in colder months.
We stayed with our Daughter and 3 Granddaughters aged 15,13 and 9 and 4 dogs. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, youngest Granddaughter liked the snug. We enjoyed the garden, plenty of room to play football and for the dogs to run around. We did need to keep an eye on our daughter's Border Terrier. She is very tiny and we were concerned there were 1 or 2 places she might have been able to squeeze through to the fields. The extra stair case in the downstairs bedroom was a bit of a surprise, it wasn't for our use and it did have a locked gate on the bottom so did...more
We've returned to the Lodge and once again we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The lovely stroll along the Weaver's Way and the quiet roads. There were hares and deer in the field outside! It was generally very comfortable, especially the bed, although the settee was a bit soft for our elderly backs! Wonderfully generous welcome pack including treats for our boys.
The cottage was exactly as described, lovely. Trunch is very quite with brilliant walks. The owners were easy to get hold of and answered quickly. A good time was has by all. we will book the cottage next year. Christine and Nick with Arwen and Gryphon.
We stayed for a week at this property, it was well equipped, warm, clean, had a very comfortable bed, and was very welcoming for our dogs too. Highly recommended.
Great cosy cottage, just the right size for two. Very comfortable and compact, well equipped and a lovely secure garden for our dogs. Within easy reach of the beaches and woods and Weavers Way almost on the doorstep so plenty of choice for walks. Best of all no fireworks nearby to upset our older dog so we all had relaxed evenings throughout the week. Hosts Terri and Richard were most welcoming and the thoughtful welcome pack was much appreciated.
Very old pictures on the website so it's not as expected. Dirty oven, floors and shower. Mouldy stained carpet in the bedroom due to long term leak from the shower. Classed as ideal for reactive dogs but definitely not. Dogs barking next door and broken pots and glass in the garden. Woken by gun shot in the morning and noises in the loft during the night.
We have stayed at Red Roofs a number of times & it is the most relaxing cottage that we have booked for both ourselves & our dog. We stayed over the Xmas period & it was a delight to see the Christmas tree lights twinkling as we arrived. The welcome pack was excellent & we had the surprize bonus of the owner dropping off a tin of home made mince pies mid stay.
Bungalow is well equipped with a stylish, comfortable interior. The 2 acre grounds are magical and were much appreciated by our dogs. We rebooked to go back in a few weeks something we have never done before .
Lovely peaceful cottage, great location. East Cottage has a beautiful large garden both hoomins & dogs enjoyed. It was lovely to listen to the birds in the garden first thing in the morning. The hot tub was amazing & we had perfect weather with only 1/2 days rain. The beds were incredibly comfortable & we all had a great nights sleep.
