excellent location practically on the beach, the lookout is v nicely decorated throughout with plenty of decorative touches spotless and comfortable for both people and puppers after days out I can't recommend Sally enough for all the support and communication she provided Bacton itself is a little gem of a place, if like us you have a reactive dog you will love the quiet wide beaches with plenty of space for everyone even during Aug BH weekend plenty of excellent walks to be had but also perfect to simply chill in the sun room overlooking the beach with a chilled glass of wine After...more
Lovely cottage, very well equipped and comfortable. Dogs well catered for, so useful to have beds and bowls provided. Would recommend to anyone
Bumblebee is a well thought through modern cottage with lots of character. Paul and Stella are owners who clearly have a passion for their business. This is a great dog friendly property but doesn’t let the humans down either. Lots of mod cons, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. It’s in a quiet but accessible location. The facilities for dogs are great from the outside shower to paddock to lots of dog toys and throws. I really trust East Rushton Cottages on their choice for their portfolio and Bumblebee and Willow tree holidays are a winner. It came recommended by Sue for the qui...more
We stayed with friends and two dogs that were so welcome and had a lovely week in this beautiful barn conversion, Malthouse is wonderful with every need catered for. Completely safe for our dogs too. The beds are very comfortable the towel are soft ! Just book it as I’m sure it will get hard to do with return visits.
A wonderful, relaxing week at The Lobster. We loved absolutely everything about it - a great welcome pack, private path to the stunning beach, luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms & beautifully furnished. It is so well designed inside and out. Our dog really enjoyed the garden and the Charley Chau dog beds provided. We could happily have stayed put all week but did a few trips out to East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens, Bacton Woods, Eden in Stalham, Smallsticks, Watsons and the Gunton Arms. Another gem, thank you to the owners and team ERC. Really hope to return if we can get booked!
We had a very relaxing break at Peanut cottage, which was spotlessly clean.Everything you need is provided here, from the exceptional welcome basket filled with local produce + tea ,coffee &milk and a basket of goodie’s for the dogs, there’s a quiet courtyard at the peanut with hot tub and an enclosed grass paddock for the dogs.Paul and Stella certainly go the extra mile to make your stay a memorable one.We will certainly return to one of their cottages.
We have had a fantastic week staying at Jacks Shack which was in the perfect location for exploring the Norfolk coast. The cottage was clean, well presented & every comfort gad be thought of by the owner. This is the best holiday home we have stayed in.
Our second visit to Lighthouse Cottage and another very enjoyable week in this comfortable, well equipped and super dog-friendly place. It provides a great escape from city fireworks with phobic dogs, with lovely walks in Bacton Woods, the Weavers Way and beaches galore all within a short drive, plus an on-site paddock for lazier days. The owners are very helpful, and the generous welcome pack was a real bonus. Thanks for another great week.
Our stay at Manor Barn was above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived we all saw how much attention to detail had been taken by the owners. From the well stocked greetings basket, to additional throws for all the sofas, and bathroom accessories, it was all set out for the comfort and pleasure of the guests. Manor Barn itself is a wonderful conversion, carefully planned and laid out. The gardens also well planned for those with dogs. We were able to let the girls out with no concerns of escaping and they loved this freedom. We visited in November and so the weather was chilly...more
Nice owners. Good space available for exercising dogs. Overall comfortable. Easy access to many places.
The Walnut is a little gem. Everything is provided for both humans and dogs. It’s warm, comfortable and well equipped. The location is perfect for country and beach walks and we did both every day - a great way to wear our 9 month old puppy out!
How we loved our stay! 5 Dachshunds plus 2 visiting with a friend and both adult children came for a day! 5 minutes to a wonderful beach- this naturally sheltered sunny spot allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the late summer sun .The open plan nature of Sand Drift provides a sociable space to eat and relax with friends with everything you need for a relaxing break.
We stayed in Dormy twice now and we plan to return. The bungalow is newly refurbished with comfortable bedrooms and open plan lounge dinning and kitchen area. The location of the property is just perfect at the back of the dunes and only a short 3 minute walk from the dog-friendly and quiet beach. The fully enclosed gardens at the front and back are great for our 4 dogs giving them plenty of space to run around. We love coming back to Dormy to recharge and stay in this peaceful and quiet area of Norfolk.
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
excellent place to stay welcome pack was special dog treats bread, milk, butter outstanding and a special mention for the millionaires shortbread -too much lol everything within walking distance shop.pub.cafe also dog towels, dog crate owners have thought of everything only thing that cottage could do with is a dryer for wet clothes but not a criticism just a suggestion
Everything had been thought of. Crates / dog bowls / spare leads/ dog beds / cleaning fluid (in case of accidents) / outside tap / poo bags. Dogs allowed on the sofa - throws provided. Dogs allowed on the bed (bring your own bedding). A completely secure garden which meant we could relax and leave the dogs to enjoy the garden without having to supervise constantly. This shows that the owner and East Ruston Cottages understand what holidaying with dogs is really like. All this allows for a very relaxing holiday The humans aren't ignored either - spotlessly clean, plenty of space, comfortabl...more
This was our second stay at Rose Cottage and we will be returning next year. The cottage is cosy and in a perfect location 2 minutes from the beach which our dogs love. Ann provides a lovely welcome pack and even left a bag of presents for us to take home for one of our dogs who was unwell and unable to come. I cannot recommend Rose Cottage highly enough.
Bristows Barn is a great place to stay for humans and dogs. Lots of room, a great kitchen, very dog friendly with a garden for zoomies. This was our second visit and we have already booked again for next year. Thank you .
A fantastic property definitely 5* luxury, high standard of furnishings, superb comfy beds, everything you could possibly need and above for a comfortable stay, the humans loved the dog beds as much as the dog,the hot tub a great addition at the end of the day.Very spacious and loved the underfloor heating. Great restaurants and takeaways with in easy reach, an ideal base for the beach 10 minutes walk and visiting the seals.Great communication throughout, loved the welcome basket. No negative points whatsoever and would highly recommend. Can’t wait to return.
Hidden Gem was perfect for a weekend away with my dog, Pluto! We had very considerate and friendly communication from Laura, the owner. The location is wonderful with miles of dunes and beach for walking. The cottage was lovely and we appreciated the thoughtful extras. I could relax knowing it was such a dog friendly cottage. We particularly enjoyed the sunny conservatory. Pluto and I were very happy!
We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Primary reason for going away was to avoid fireworks, which was completely fulfilled. We had some great walks on the beach where our dog could run and play off lead. Excellent place for anyone with dogs.
This is our second stay at The Grove and we’ve already booked for next year and 2026. A beautifully clean property with a large well kept, secure garden. Quiet walks from the door and a short drive to the coast but I actually walked the distance on two occasions. There’s everything we needed at the property along with plenty of supplies of doggy toys, leads, all manner of essentials incase you forget anything. EV charging in the immediate area is poor for rapid charging but we used a local one which is a 50kw charger but there’s only one, listed in the information from East Rushton Cottag...more
This was a return visit to The Crib and was just as good as we remembered it. There were lovely walks straight from the cottage either to the beach, along the cliff top paths or local footpaths. We had everything we needed in the property and more. The welcome pack was exceptional and delicious! Such a comfortable, cosy cottage with an open fire (and a huge basket of logs, kindling etc). The garden was safe and secure and I never worried about letting our dogs out there as I knew they couldn’t escape. We had a wonderful time and will definitely book again in the future.
Lovely dog friendly place with generous welcome pack! Secluded and safe but within reach of beaches and villages. Very hard to fault!
Beautiful large farmhouse remote with owners next door. Comfortable house with large rooms including two games rooms which are great we spent a lot of time playing pool and darts. The Farmhouse has lots of rooms so you can find a space if you want or come together and have fun so many things to do in this house we spent a week and didn’t use everything their are games, books as well as the large games, Pool,Darts, Table tennis and table football. We loved it at the farmhouse hopefully be back next year.
We had a great stay at Wagtail Cottage- it’s clean, warm and well equipped for people and dogs! Quiet and secure garden, driveway next to the house for easy loading/unloading. Great location, owners were friendly and responsive to any queries, and provided OS maps and guides for the local area. The ERC team were also responsibe and the app was useful to find places to go.
What a lovely cottage and everything was perfect for dogs Buster 1yr old springer spaniel,Barney 9 month old Labrador and us two humans, a short walk and you are on the beach, coffee and bacon rolls from Scratby Bakery are just the best and so are their cakes, lots of great places locally to visit and very dog friendly.
The single-storey accommodation is great for me. The totally secure back garden was perfect for our two English Setters. The bed was comfortable, the furniture was beautiful, solid oak and functional. The proximity to beaches and small towns was ideal and the bungalow was in a quiet, residential area. The thought which had gone into providing everything dog owners might need for their pets had really impressed me in the extensive guidance notes. We had travelled from Derbyshire and arrived about 6 pm in darkness and light rain, in mid-November. There are no street lights so it took a w...more
Lovely lodge with everything you could need for a trip away with your dog. Dogs loved the underfloor heating. Lovely secure garden with lovely high fences meant we could relax with out worrying about the dogs.
A really comfortable home from home with everything humans and dogs need for a relaxing break. Our second time at Cornre Cottage with a third one already booked. We love it!
We parked the car and didn’t use it until we left. Accommodation was ideal, location perfect, five minutes to beach, and amenities first class. Everywhere was dog friendly, and the locals were so welcoming. The Fisherman’s return, local pub, was very dog friendly.
Basic accommodation. Very clean. Lovely touch of apple juice and cookies left for us. Lots provided like washing up liquid, loo roll etc. Extremely dog friendly, throws and bowls provided. Would best suit just a couple with two dogs. The site is very well maintained and perfect for dog walks across the sand dunes to the beach straight from the front door with no roads to cross. This makes up for no private garden. Our third stay, because it works for us and our dogs. Shower isn't brilliant, and only plug in heaters. Can get cold and feel damp in colder months.
We have just had a lovely week where we could walk out the front door with the dogs off lead straight down to the beach. We have 3 grown children, with partners, one grandchild and 5 dogs in total so finding accommodation where we can all meet up is not easy. Whilst not all of them were on this trip we cannot rate Seaview Cottage highly enough when there are only 6 adults. The owner had thought of everything we needed for a dog friendly holiday and to top it off a beautiful homemade cake was waiting for us on arrival, especially gluten free, as ERC checked for allergy information before we ...more
Our 4th stay here 6 adults 5 dogs. Everything we needed right there the dogs love the large garden and the house is perfect for walks and beach days. We will definitely be back next year. Everything you could need in the kitchen for family meals and lounge large enough to all sit on an evening.
Another wonderful stay at the Lodge, just don’t tell anyone how fantabulous it is! ERC are amazing, every property is firstly dog friendly & humans are secondary.. the Lodge is clean, cosy & has almost everything you would need.. Oir dogs love their holibobs at the Lodge..
We had a pleasant weekend break in Farthing Cottage over the first weekend in November, hoping for a rest from the constant fireworks that are a feature of our home life at this time of year. The cottage was lovely and warm - our foster greyhound was comfortable without his pajamas. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed some pleasant walks around the area. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the welcome hamper was amazing. All in all, I would highly recommend the cottage to dog owners.
The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing stay away with our dogs, and we would definitely recommend it to others. It’s in a beautiful and peaceful setting and is ideally located for several beaches and for the local town. Can’t wait to go back!
Great cosy cottage, just the right size for two. Very comfortable and compact, well equipped and a lovely secure garden for our dogs. Within easy reach of the beaches and woods and Weavers Way almost on the doorstep so plenty of choice for walks. Best of all no fireworks nearby to upset our older dog so we all had relaxed evenings throughout the week. Hosts Terri and Richard were most welcoming and the thoughtful welcome pack was much appreciated.
Felt so chilled & relaxed from the moment we arrived. Fantastic welcome pack. Ideal location for dog walking (& dog friendly beaches a short drive away), bird watching or just enjoying the view over the broad. Now the Pleasure boat Inn has reopened there are 2 dog friendly pubs within walking distance. East Rushton Cottages is by far the friendliest & most helpful letting agency I have dealt with
House and gardens were wonderful, we had a great stay! Just watch out for potholes in the run up to the property!
