Hadn’t holidayed with both of our GSD before but this was the perfect place to stay. Accomodation and ameneties were to such a high standard with everything you could possibly need. The addition of a secure field to use throughout the stay was so welcome and lovely walks direct from the door. Would love to stay again soon and would highly recommended, the owners were lovely and communicative before and during the stay when we reached out to them.
My daughter and myself, not forgetting our dog, Xana, had the most wonderful week , staying in Sea Urchin, Eccles-on-sea. Great location, just steps from the beach, a warm and comfortable stay in clean and well thought out accommodation. Very helpful and welcoming host, made us feel very welcome. We loved the beach being so close and Xana enjoyed her walks and sniffs! Great location to explore from and we always looked forward to getting back to Sea Urchin in the evenings!
Great property that combines a superb location with a well equipped kitchen, and comfortable furniture. We hope to return!
We love Bumblebee. It’s a well thought through cottage, comfortable and homely yet with all the mod-cons you could wish for. The standard of finish and cleanliness is to a high standard. It’s located in a lovely area, close to beaches and surrounded by fields. It brings nature to the door and a sense of tranquility. The owners are super helpful, if required, and discreetly in the background. We love it there, been a few times and booked for next year. Bumblebee is well worth a visit.
Had a very chilled out week for my birthday. Barn is perfect for the dogs and their owners. The garden is surrounded by a very tall wall so no doggy escapes possible. There is a short walk to the beach, around a field and quiet lane, which we did most days. It was a bit muddy due to rain but that’s November for you! Owners were lovely and very responsive to any issues.
We enjoyed our week at The Peanut. There are 3 cottages to choose from and a large paddock for the dogs to play in and its also very rural. We didn't hear many fireworks as we put the television on loud. The cottage was well furnished and the owners were very helpful. The two other families that were in the other cottages were going to rebook again straightaway, we didn't rebook as we do like to try a different one each time. I would recommend this place.
1 Paynes Cottage is delightful. It has been sensitively renovated retaining its original features combining with modern living . The welcome hamper was greatly appreciated as were the safe areas where our dog ‘Bertie’ could romp. The cottage had everything we needed during our five night stay although the Broadband/Wifi connection is very slow. The local pub, the Crown inn, was also very welcoming and produced well priced suppers with huge portions!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay Thank you
The cottage is beautiful and the location could not be better. Stunning Views over the dunes from one of the bedrooms and walks straight on to the beautiful dunes . The Seal View cafe is a couple of minutes walk over the dunes and the pub, shop and fish & chip shop are in the village, a couple minutes walk the other way. It’s a perfect location. Our 3 dogs loved their holiday. The dunes are huge and an amazing place to walk with dogs in November. We were there 21st November for a week. However, Despite reading that this area is dog friendly year round, We were unable to walk...more
We have been trying to book Thatched Cottage for a while but hadn't found any convenient dates until a short break at teh start of December. It is easy to find, with plenty of space for cars to park. The room layour is quirky, and the snug is nice for some peace and quiet. It has everything you need, and had a nice christmas tree set up in the lounge to put us in the Christmas mood. The Welcome pack was good, it saves having to go the the shop as soon as you get there, and being an ERC place there were plenty of dog blankets etc. and dog treats. If you have never heard of Roys of Wroxham ...more
We love the barn because it has level access for Molly, our elderly dog. She can easily get to the garden and loves to snuggle in her bed downstairs, where she can see us. There are also lots of rugs, so she’s not sliding around, which also adds to the high level of furnishings. I love the art on the walls and that the kitchen is furnished with Denby, and Emma Bridgewater - all brands I'd use in my home. We've been to the area at least once a year with Molly since we rescued her, so we find ourselves increasingly back to our holiday home by early afternoon for tea and cake, so the place we sta...more
Our second time here and even better than we remembered. Everything we needed was there. Near to lots of dog friendly beaches Happisburgh, Cart Gap and Sea Palling being our favourites, Winterton is a bit further but definitely worth it. We enjoyed a couple of circular walks from the cottage. Hope to return in the near future
We had an absolutely brilliant holiday at The Walnut. The property had everything we needed, owners are lovely, facilities perfect for us and our young Labrador. Easy driving distance to the beach and Broads. We couldn’t have asked for any more!
Here is a more professional, polished version with gentle expansion while keeping the original sentiment and details intact: --- This was our second stay at Dormy and, once again, it proved to be an excellent choice for us and our seven dogs. The house was immaculately clean, tastefully modern in its styling, and clearly designed with practicality and comfort in mind. It functioned exceptionally well as a living space, particularly for a large group with dogs. We made full use of the local area, enjoying trips to the beach, walks in Bacton Woods, and frequent visits to the nearby dog ...more
This was our second stay here, and it did not disappoint! The cottage was spotlessly clean, superb welcome pack, and as before, exceedingly dog friendly. The facilities ate all you could possibly wish for, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
This is my 3rd stay at Ruby Gem and it still lives up to the standard we expect. The owners go along way to make sure both human and dog can feel at home when staying there.
Salty Sea Dog is located about 2 minutes from a lovely Sandy beach. We enjoyed long walks in both directions, towards Walcott and Mundesley. Nice local fish and chip shop, Chinese restaurant and cafes within walking distance. The lodge is very clean, comfortable and is very well equipped. It has sea views from lounge and dining area. The owner supplied very helpful information about the area and lodge prior to arrival. Would definitely recommend
My husband, 2 cocker spaniels & I returned for our 4th stay this year in Winterton. As you can tell we have rather fallen in love with the place! It was our first visit though to Hidden Gem and a real gem it is - fabulous welcome packs for both humans & dogs, very communicative owner and in a super location in a quiet lane just a few paces through the garden to the dunes. Comfy beds, a well appointed kitchen and a really cosy living room for the evenings, complete with the log burner - this was needed as it did turn rather wintry in Winter during our stay. All in all a lovely few days.
We stayed for a 4 night break at White Cottage with 6 of our dogs. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Our stay was perfect, from arriving to the heating on, fresh bread on the top & a pint of milk in the fridge to our (very reluctant) checkout! Everything was provided for us & was top quality. The dogs loved the short walk to the beach & thoroughly enjoyed the large fully enclosed, secure garden. We will absolutely be back!
Very well situated, easy to find, plenty of parking and lovely welcoming gifts for humans and doggies.3 girlfriends and 4 dogs very well catered for.enjoyed our stay would have happily booked for next year but price too high as we are out all day and just want a base to stay at.
A fabulous property, very clean, spacious, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and everything you need for the dogs. Wonderful welcoming tray and fresh flowers. Excellent location for local walks and nearby beaches are only 15 minutes in the car. Plenty of supermarkets in the locality plus farm shops. We couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome and would love to go back.
This was our third stay with our fear reactive to other dogs rescue dog Jeff. The accommodation is so comfortable and equipped with every thing both humans and dogs could need. The secure garden is wonderful, Jeff loves it. Jeff loves the countryside walks from the property. There are often no other dogs around at all or if there is one off lead local dog owners are so happy to put their dog back on lead when politely asked. The coast is only a couple of miles away and there are lovely walks only a few miles from the property. The owners are wonderful and so helpful, as is the East Ruston comp...more
We really enjoyed our family break in Bishy Barnabee. Mark and Helen were kind enough to allow our Son plus his family and also our friends to join ourselves, and our daughter and family to join us on the Saturday. The supply of the crate for one of our dogs that had a cruciate ligament op on the Monday before our stay was very much appreciated. The grand children want to come again. You know when that happens it’s been an enjoyable stay
Having stayed in a number of “dog friendly” cottages in the past it was a very welcome change to finally find one that is truly so. The welcome park was superb and our labrador was especially keen on the Nico treats! She had a choice of comfortable dog beds which saves the need for fitting one in the car, there was spare doggie towels & blankets plus toys, leads, bowls, everything you could need. It was our rescue dog’s first holiday and we couldn’t have asked for a better location than the Crib with so many lovely walks available from the garden gate. The garden itself was large and fully en...more
Really beautiful bungalow we had a comfortable stay and everything we needed, hot tub was lovely. However we did not like Scratby at all, very disappointing and not at all our cup of tea, think we have been too spoilt in the past staying at lovely Winterton on sea just up the road, but Scratby is worlds apart and we would definitely not choose to go there again unfortunately. Can’t fault Easton Rushton cottages though, always great to deal with and the best at being dog friendly! Was a bit worried about keeping the noise of our dogs down as reactive dog next door to this bungalow too whi...more
We had a lovely stay in this pretty and well equipped dog-friendly property. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We managed to time our arrival with Storm Amy blowing in, and were delighted that she had ensured the accommodation was toasty warm. Being Norfolk, the sun magically managed to put in an appearance each day. The stunning sandy beach was within walking distance, as was Happisburgh’s iconic lighthouse.
We had a fantastic time here, will definitely be back. Beautiful house and they couldn’t have done more. Especially as we had massive problems at the end of the holiday. The welcome pack for people and dogs was amazing.
Recently come home from a great week at Corner Cottage. What a great find this place was !close to beaches, woods .Perfect for us and our dogs . Welcoming ,clean and practical the owners have thought of everything we may have needed. Peaceful surroundings .Close to the Lessingham Star where we had 2 great meals. Owner was very helpful and communicated well to make us feel welcome . . I am sure we will book this cottage again . Thank you Claudia and East Ruston Cottages .
We had another fantastic stay at the Beechcomber. I cannot fault this property or its location, we always have an amazing time. Our 3 beautiful dogs love it and the walks are great. We are always sad to go but we will come back again. Customer service is good, easily accessible, the owner always texts upon arrival to check everything is ok and is easily contactable for any queries you may have. Thank you and see you soon.
This was our second ERC holiday and first time at Seaview cottage. The booking process was fantastic, easy to use and well laid out. We chose Seaview cottage this time as we wanted to be as close to the beach as possible (as we live about as far from the beach as you can get!) and we also each wanted our own bedrooms - we are 3 single people who share a house and like each other enough to holiday together too, also, having a downstairs bedroom and walk in shower on the ground floor was fabulous (one of our number has a gammy knee!). Out of all the ERC properties Seaview seemed to best fit ou...more
We enjoyed our stay at the very comfortable Brig Cottage, Scratby. The cottage is a short walk from a wide, sandy beach with great walks in both directions. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the cottage well equipped for a self-catering stay. Lots to do and see in the area e.g. National Trust properties, Cromer, Sheringham, Horsey Gap, Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Plenty of places at which to eat and drink. Great value and highly recommended.
I’ve wanted to say at Rooster Barn ever since I found out about ERC but it was always fully booked! What a gorgeous place, worth the wait. So warm and cosy, lovely location and beautifully clean.
Beautiful. Only problem for us was the stairs. We both have problems with our legs. But was a fantastic place.
We came to stay here to visit Thursford which is just 40 mins away. It was great to be able to bring our dogs with us and be able to leave them in the property for a little while. Not all holiday cottage companies let you do this. We also had a recommendation for a dog sitter called The Fairy Dog Lover and she was great. She came to meet us and called to feed them while we were at Thursford. The property was so practical as well with non slip vinyl flooring throughout and access to a secure garden. The welcome pack was also great. Everything you need for a first nights stay and also inc...more
We had a wonderful time at Thatch Cottage, the home was absolutely beautiful, we loved the charm, the character, the beams, the old bread oven. Everything had been thought of. Our dog felt right at home and she loved the garden, kept wanting to play in it. Our first day there, we saw 2 deer in the front garden as we returned from a trip out to nearby Wroxham Barns. It was magical and we felt very privileged. There was a wonderful welcome hamper for us with fresh bread, wine, dog biscuits, crisps, cheese straws, tea, fudge and a victoria sandwich, fresh flowers on the dining room table, plenty ...more
Skylark is a well equipped compact little chalion the Winterton Estate by miles of sandy beach. We were sent loads of info that turned out to be for the whole region so had to be dug through to find out what was actually local. At last minute chose to pack our own bedding on discovering that dog friendly did not include the bed. Lovely week with lots of walks on the beach spotting the seals. Curious to see other chalets for hire and sale on the site. Then discovered we could have booked directly with Winterton for a similar chalet, but with WiFi and a sea view, for £74 less than we had p...more
We felt relaxed as soon as we opened the gate into the large secure garden. The cottage is very well equipped and was nice and cosy. Our dog loved the big, safe garden and we all enjoyed the treats in the welcome pack. Amazing walks from the cottage itself and only a short drive to the beach where we saw loads of seals and their pups. A perfect long weekend away. Can’t recommend highly enough!
Fantastic location, we have stayed here many times and we love it so much . It’s spotlessly clean . Everything and more than you need for a dogs holiday. The company amazing and nothing is too much trouble. My rescue loves it here and is very chilled . We have already booked for next year and counting the days until our next . It’s great for anyone with mobility issues and just perfect.
Really enjoyed our week at this beautifully renovated cottage. Walking the dogs by the marina was a treat for them and us. Local beaches in easy reach by car and many were almost empty and dog friendly. A perfect location for a week away in early autumn
Had a much needed 5 day break in East Cottage, Walnut Farm, Waxham. It was everything we hoped for. We have an exempt XL Bully and the secure high-fenced (landscaped for us and him) gave us great peace of mind to let him have freedom in the garden. Walks to the beach mapped out on a little welcoming postcard along with walks around the farm. Everywhere was very clean and extremely ‘home from home’ . The Welcoming pack was well-received and enjoyed! If our dog could talk he would say that the owners had definitely thought of his needs too, toys, bowls, treats, lounge rugs and great garden/groun...more
The bungalow was really nice, very clean and with comfy beds. The beach is only a short walk away, and there was always beach there even at high tide. The dogs really loved it. Lovely walks in the area , Bacton Woods and the Weavers Way being two of them.
Our first time at this property, and it was a peaceful retreat from city fireworks for me and Milly. We were made to feel very welcome by Kerry and Kevin - the welcome pack was very generous! The cottage looks out across fields opposite, and the garden is lovely. We were lucky with the weather and afternoons were spent in the conservatory, toasting comfortably, after morning walks on the Weaver's Way and other local footpaths. Such a good week, thank you!
We enjoyed our break in this snug little cottage with its dog friendly safe garden. Attentive owner next door. Although very rural only a short drive to Stalham and a little further to glorious beach at Sea Palling. Almost everything you need in the cottage and very comfy beds too.
East cottage was a really cosy warm place to stay when the temperatures were freezing outside. It was very clean, super comfortable beds, and had everything we could possibly need. The circular river walk was enjoyable and well signposted. The hot tub was a real treat and a lovely way to relax and warm up after a chilly dog walk on the beach. We enjoyed beach walks at Waxham, Bacton and Caister. A trip to Cromer for fish and chips. Walked along the beach to Sea Palling for hot chocolates and doughnuts. The enclosed dog field was a bonus and meant our escapee could enjoy time off lead. Highl...more
We were very excited to arrive along a quiet track next to Hickling Broad to find a wonderful, traditional and spacious house right next to the broads. We had such a lovely welcome with a tasty homemade cake waiting for us. The huge secure garden was a real hit with our dogs. They did a lot of partying in the garden, mainly chasing birds. And then a lot of snoozing by the open fire. The owner, Jane, was very caring and popped by with extra wood and to check we were warm and comfortable. The kitchen larder was well stocked with lots of crockery and glasses. Plus, two teapots! Red Roof...more
The house is great and the garden is so spacious and perfect for dogs due to being fenced in all the way.
A really great dog friendly cottage with super responsive hosts. We felt at home from the very start in this lovely space. With plenty of dog bowls, towels, treats, poo bags, toys and 2 beds, we didn’t need to worry about forgetting anything which made preparing much easier! Our two labradors had plenty of space and the tiled kitchen diner and utility/ entrance space were easy to wipe clean with the doggy towels and cleaning spray provided. Plenty of dishes, cutlery, glassware and plates for all our needs. Also great thoughtful touches like a drawer with charging cables, plugs and torches - es...more
Pollywiggle was in a beautiful location with walks to the beach and to the broads. I had a couple of small niggles at first but they were quickly dealt with, mostly down to my knowledge of how to work the gas oven. Their is no gas were I live. The garden is very secure and although gravel was fine for my dogs. The static has all you need, except a bread knife. Being on the larger size I kept hitting the oven knobs when I was at the sink. The bed was wonderfully comfortable
