Wow, what a beautiful home. Tasteful, spacious and perfectly located in the best place in the area - Brixham. Short walk into town and shorter walk to a couple of beautiful coves along the coastal path. Berry head also walkable and stunning. It is hilly like most of the area so the local walking will get you fit! Places we walked to further afield - Greenways, holiday home of Agatha Christie which was fascinating as well as stunning location. Coleton Fishacre equally impressive along a dramatic coastal stretch. Steam train to Kingswear and Dartmouth a great day out too. Definite...more
We have been coming to this cottage 3 times a year for approx 6 years. (Looking after our 2 grandchildren during the 3 half terms), as they live in Buckfastleigh. It is near to local amenities, and is central to lots of things to do, and places to go,with firstly small children and now much older children. Due to their age this was our last stay here, ( need 3 bedrooms) and we were all very sad to be saying goodbye to the old stables.
Absolutely loved Glenmay. Plenty of room, extremely clean, very comfortable. Loved all the plants both inside and outside. The decor was spot on. The location was perfect for us. Six minutes walk to Broadsands and less than 10 minutes drive to a dog friendly beach. Lots to do around and about. Would definitely recommend.
As always a very comfortable & very t clean stay Every thing one needs parking along side Costal walk nearby
A fantastic cottage in a gorgeous area. Very well equipped and cosy, hosts lovely and helpful . The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Will definitely return. My only request would be for some sort of sign by the entrance, as I drove past a few times. But this is a minor issue. Would definitely recommend.
We booked this bungalow because it was close to Greenway, which we wanted to visit for me and my sister's birthday. It was very neat and clean, and dog friendly, which we wanted so my son could bring his dog.
I was surprisingly impressed with The Cottage. It is nicely decorated and well equipped for a self-catering holiday. Location was close to beaches and tourist attractions, and some lovely walks, ideal for dog walking.
We have been holidaying in Dart View in Galmpton for some years now. It never disappoints! Always spotlessly clean and well appointed. Everything you could need to enjoy a stress free vacation is provided. It is an end of row property with a view of the River Dart from the living room and front and side patio areas. We have already booked again for more of the same!
We had the pleasure of a second stay in this superb accommodation. 1st visited in 2023, just taken us far too long to return. Accommodation is perfect, beautiful setting, totally relaxing. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy the views. Everything you need is included, super comfortable, we couldn't have asked for anything better. A great place to explore from, easy to get to Brixham, Dartmouth and many other places.
Fantastic area to stay, beautiful views and lovely walks from the doorstep. Nice quiet site, Laura Lee is small, but has everything you need. The garden is lovely, there is a dog tether as it is not enclosed. Nice to sit in the sunshine with morning coffee or glass of wine watching the sun go down. Beds are very comfortable. Lots of places to visit nearby or further afield. Good food at the dog friendly pub in the village, easy enough to walk despite the hills! Look forward to returning to Galmpton bungalows another time.
Wonderful place, comfy beds, hot tub was great especially on the chiller nights, log fire making it feel warm and cosy, games room well equipped, pool table, dart board, table tennis, massive TV,, tout side the lodge you have crazy golf course, the grounds to the property nice and tidy, the whole place is beautiful, short drive to local town machynlleth another pretty place, well worth holiday stay.
Perfect holiday chalet for 3 people and a dog. Very cosy and welcoming. Any moisture (behind sink, in bathroom) wasnt really a problem. Facilities were brilliant (better than our home!). Location is my childhood home and near my elderly mum for visiting. Sea and river nearby; butcher provided Christmas turkey!
We have stayed in 4 other bungalows on this park over the years, and whilst we loved the quiet and position of this bungalow, at the top of the park, there were several things missing. One is an oven (but understand German owners are to put 1 in) and for me, a heated towel rail in bathroom. Would stay here again
Ideal location midway between the coast and River Dart. Easy to get to some fantastic places on foot or by car. Well appointed bungalow. However, there was no wi-fi but managed without. The oven came up with error messages a couple of times. We feel some hooks would be a good addition to the shower room. On the whole we enjoyed our stay and would go back again.
This is our third or fourth stay in The Retreat, we love to stay here because of the position, you don't feel closed in and, ofcourse, it is so quite. There are a couple things that need some tlc, hopefully they will be attended to
A very peaceful place to stay, very clean, well decorated and everything we needed. A lovely secluded garden area to sit in. A great base to explore the beautiful Devon countryside, National Trust properties of Greenway and Coleton Fishacre, wonderful coastal walks and other towns such as Brixham and Kingswear nearby. Ferry across to Dartmouth not far away. Sounds of the steam train from the garden. Broadsands beach not far away with good sand and bathing and facilities.
Galmpton is a perfect base for us and Plain Sailing has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Very well equipped in a quiet location
A place we feel at home, a place we feel at peace, a place of comfort to help us enjoy our long awaited holiday.
I have been coming down here for many years, stayed in many of the other bungalows too. Very clean and tidy, everything you need for a relaxing stay in Devon.
Had a lovely stay here . The apartment is spotlessly clean a perfect location for Brixham Centre . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return .
Perfect short holiday stay location. Bungalow very cold but in the summer will be lovely with super views. For longer stays it would not be recommended and had to purchase a WiFi broadband box as that supplied is for basic occasional use only. However again stress we was not on holiday. The owner and the site manager went over and above to help us. Thank you
Stayed for a long weekend what a place Had everything you could want for . The sunrise in the morning was something else . Games room with bar sky tv with all the sport Snooker table . Will definitely be back
a lovely stay as always! we appreciate lthe milk in the fridge so we can have a cuppa when we arrive
We enjoyed our stay. The location was very central. The cottage had everything we needed. The allocated parking space was quite challenging but the virtual parking permit meant that this wouldn’t be an issue as you could use the public parking lots instead.
