We had an amazing stay at Chequers and would absolutely book the house and other properties from Bloom Stays. The Bloom Team were so helpful in the lead up, providing tips on restaurants and things to do in Rye. The house was absolutely stunning! We had all the necessities and equipment we needed for cooking and enjoying drinks on the terrace. It was a perfect location and stunning decor throughout. I particularly loved the eco essentials like the refillable brand ‘fill’ shower gel and shampoos and food waste bin!
We had such a lovely stay at Duneland and would highly recommend it. The location is perfect, just a two-minute walk to the beach and being surrounded by the dunes made it really peaceful and relaxing. The secure garden was a huge plus for us travelling with dogs, as we could completely switch off while they safely enjoyed the space and lounged on the decking. The hot tub was also a great touch and made the stay feel extra special. Inside, everything was very well thought out, from the toiletries in the bathroom to a well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. We also loved the outdoor se...more
Great location!! Shepherds hut fully equipped and well thought out, even has a picnic basket and blanket. Host is super friendly and helpful. Easy access to local community, walks, cycle tracks through beautiful forests with picnic spots along the way. Safe environment and free parking a short walk from the accommodation. Braai (barbecue) and fire pit. As SAFFA’s was great to sit around the fire under the stars braaing marshmallows. Thanks for an awesome stay.
Immaculate, beautiful property with plenty of space and a lovely hot tub. Every wish was catered for! Very dog friendly so our furry friend had an equally epic time.
Emma was very kind and helpful. The house was lovely, with charming, unique decor. Our stay in Kent was wonderful. We appreciated Emma's thoughtful touches: providing small snacks made in the village, coffee, tea, firewood, and more. Don't miss having breakfast or afternoon tea at The Bakehouse Café; everything was delicious and the staff were always smiling.
We enjoyed a wonderful restful stay at Acorn Barn. The hosts were very helpful and available if needed. A very comfortable property in peaceful surroundings with wonderful views. Would love to return
The property and gardens are beautiful and from the moment we arrived, we started to relax. Thank you to the owner for being so helpful and we would definitely stay again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We arrived at the Potting Shed at sunset. The lights were on inside and it looked magical. We loved the place immediately. The house is very cozy and provides everything you need from self-catering accommodation. Walkers can plan their routes directly from the farm or with just a short drive have plenty of other options. There were several little things that added to the overall feeling of being welcome. The fridge was stocked with locally produced milk and butter. There was a little basket with eggs and hot chocolate. On clear nights the patio around the house is great for star gazing. We...more
Can we stay one more day? That was what we were all saying the morning of our final day at Springhill. It was the most wonderful weekend, a gathering of my friends and family as a post-wedding 'hen-do' celebration. The house is so unique in the most beautiful setting, gorgeous views from every room. I remember sitting in the sauna watching a sheepdog round up the sheep through the window! Beautiful. It is the home of an interior designer and has a warm and inviting aura - much like the lovely home owner Danielle who gave us a tour when we arrived. It felt like a privilege to be trusted w...more
This is one of the best staycation homes we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail and small touches that the team added on our arrival were very thoughtful, and any issues were very quickly ironed out. Would definitely use this company again!
Beautifully presented historic building, rural location, personal touches. Made me feel very special!
A refreshing and relaxing stay in a very comfortable Oast House! We enjoyed everything about the house, the fabulous well equipped and warm kitchen, the comfortable bedrooms with high quality shower and bathroom facilities. The log fire and the cinema room. The outlook into the garden and even the lovely horse in the field. The location was perfect for walking to the Pinetum and we went several times including a visit to the Christmas lights! We enjoyed visiting Scotney Castle with stunning Christmas decorations. We walked to Goudhurst and had a really good meal at the Star and Eagle. ...more
The Barn was an excellent place to stay, lovely place, and Kent all around. It was lovely to be here.
East cottage is so beautifully stylish and simple in its interior decor, yet homely and relaxing. It had everything we needed to wind down, cook, bathe, watch movies and shut out the world. We had a wonderful stay surrounded by the unique and atmospheric landscape of Dungeness.
We (family of 5, three kids under 10) stayed at New England in May half term. It was absolutely wonderful - the whole family loved it! The house is very nicely done-up and kitted out with everything you would need; and the garden is simply glorious. There is lots to do nearby including some lovely walks from the front door. We had a great time and would definitely return (our kids have already asked to do so)!
A luxury cottage in a beautiful setting. Tastefully furnished with a pretty garden. Unfortunately the countryside setting wasn’t that peaceful as sporadically two very loud men were working on restoring some vintage double decker buses in the adjoining barn - language and diesel fumes not so welcome.
It was the perfect house and we had an amazing stay. After a little blip you and your team were helpful and communication was good. The house had everything we could wish for. If we were going to make a comment it would be that there was no towel in the downstairs loo and no towel rails in the bathrooms. This hardly spoilt our stay but thought it was worth a mention. Will definitely return. Thank you.
We spent four nights at Brook Lodge Farm. It’s a beautiful house in a superb location. It had everything we wanted for a short stay and was perfect for us. Highly recommended.
We recently booked this barn complex for a hen weekend, and overall it was a fantastic choice for a group celebration. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for getting away from it all while still having plenty of space to relax and socialise. The accommodation itself was ideal for a larger group. The communal areas were spacious enough for everyone to gather comfortably, whether for meals, games, or just catching up. The bedrooms were well laid out, giving a good mix of shared and private spaces, which worked really well for our group dynamic. Having access to a swimmi...more
Beautiful accommodation in a stunning location. Perfect base to explore Kent & Sussex. We would happily return.
Our stay was just perfect in every way (yes!....lucky enough to have fabulous weather too!) Even more lovely than expected and so peaceful with stunning views from bedrooms and lounge/large lounge balcony. Beautifully designed with a fresh nautical theme but not over 'done'. Spacious, airy and beautifully positioned for Sandgate to Hythe one way and Folkestone the other
As outstanding as the accommodation and location are it's very important to say, parking access was not suitable for our low slung car and it grounded out. The host, on hand, acted with swiftness and found a solution, however, if we returned we'd contact the hosts first to ascertain if an alternative parking plan was possible prior to arrival. Hosting was fantastic and although the carriage is in a garden, accessed via a side gate, it felt very private and had its own garden area. I had been concerned, it being February the carriage might be a bit chilly. This was not the case...more
Ideal house for family get togethers. Plenty of things to keep the children occupied. Lovely gardens. Many curios inside and out of house. We explored the woods and enjoyed the swing in the padock. Well appointed hot tub and sauna. We had one day when we didn't leave the property as there was so much for us all to do.
This was our third visit to Bushes Oast which speaks volumes. The property is spacious, well furnished and really comfortable. We do cook nearly all our meals in the kitchen which is really well equipped, so we did notice the scales had a low battery. Minor but inconvenient. Jan and her husband, however, appeared very quickly to sort them out. We return because their standards are so high and because of the utter peace and tranquillity of the location.
A group of 8 friends had the best time catching up during our stay at Nare’s House. Such a lovely house and furnished to a high standard and with everything one would need for a relaxing stay. Very close to some amazing sites too. During our stay we enjoyed the independent shops and food offers and both Folkestone and Sandgate and enjoyed lovely walks at St. Mary’s Bay, Dungeness and a sneak peak of Derek Jarman’s cottage. So much to see and do but also a beautiful house to just enjoy if that’s your thing too.
Clean, spacious house with plenty of bedrooms and well stocked kitchen. We had 17 adults stay here which meant using 2 cottages and the house. We stayed here for Christmas and cooked at the house for 17, the kitchen was very well stocked for this with all the equipment we required for cooking. The only down side was the sofa beds were realistically only 1 person beds not doubles.
We had an amazing time at Channel View, the home is beautiful and the views are amazing. We felt comfortable from the moment we stepped inside! The extra touches were lovely - milk, bread, fresh eggs. We wish we could have stayed for longer and the hot tub was exactly what we needed. Thank you for allowing us into your beautiful home!
A Great time at the seaside with an wonderful view. The house offers everything you need. There is so much to discover
My family loved this stay at The Old Schoolroom. A beautiful house, very comfortable and well equipped with lots of charm and character.
We really enjoyed the space in the property, the large upstairs sitting room was great for games, music, etc. We also liked the fact that all five couples had a good size bed and their own ensuite, there were no second class bedrooms! The dining area was really sociable and spacious and the kitchen well equipped, not to mention the outside kitchen and eating, entertaining area. The location was lovely for walks on the beach and we enjoyed the Dungeness walks, lighthouse and the delicious fish at the Fish Shack on the beach. This property is really well planned to work so well for a large g...more
Cosy and comfortable property well placed for easy and quick access to Broadstairs town and the beaches. Well equipped and nicely decorated. Although described as a cottage the property is actually a small terraced house. Parking can be a challenge - whilst on-street parking is available the road is small and narrow and spaces nearby limited. I think this should be made clearer in the property description. A small improvement would the addition of blackout curtains in the bedrooms.
Our stay at Bloom Stays Pilgrim Lodge, set on the McCann Brewery site was very relaxing. The lodge blends rustic charm with modern comfort, featuring cosy, stylish interiors and everything needed for a relaxing stay including a fab hot tub. Its unique location adds character, surrounded by lovely villages and a peaceful atmosphere. Communication and organisation from Bloom Stays were excellent, making everything seamless from giving us an early arrival to departure. Overall, it’s a distinctive and comfortable retreat, ideal for anyone seeking a quiet escape with charm, character, and a memorab...more
Well provisioned accommodation and impeccably furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay in a gorgeous setting. Beds very comfortable. Convenient location and local vineyard within walking distance which serves amazing food. Quiet location and walks on doorstop or easy drive to Rye, Camber and other local attractions. We enjoyed a lovely week here with our three kids - easily one of the best places we have stayed.
Three generations of our family just spent a week together at Merryweather and we all loved it. It was a well equipped house, very clean, stylish, and comfortable, with lots of areas to relax in. The garden was delightful, with views over the adjoining orchards and the countryside beyond, very peaceful. Harbledown is close to the centre of Canterbury and within easy reach of Faversham, Whitstable, Fordwich and several vineyards etc, so there was plenty to do and see. We booked through Bloom Stays who were helpful and professional.
The sunsets directly in front of the cabins were stunning, with the landscape constantly changing throughout the evening. There was a wonderful sense of calm as the world slowly darkened and it was time to settle in for the night. The children loved being outdoors, relaxing, exploring nature and playing freely. Feeding the lambs was an added treat and a lovely seasonal experience. The location is perfect for enjoying the countryside, with beautiful walks on the doorstep, BBQs over open wood fires, and the beach less than ten minutes away for scenic coastal strolls. The Gate house is idyllic, absolutely beautiful. The host, Ange was so friendly and welcoming. I felt blessed to have found this property and will definitely try to book again !
Kristina has thought of everything! There are so many nice little details and every amenity you could think of. Plenty of hot water and logs for the fire pit. It's a unique stay to be surrounded by sheep and lambs in a picturesque location. We were even given the opportunity to feed the lambs ourselves!
We loved staying at the Hayloft, the views are gorgeous with sheep and the sihouettes of 2 horses on the hilltop. Inside the property its beautifully furnished with care and design with a lot of light. Everything you would need and more is there for you to use. THe cleaners must also get a mention as it was beautifully clean. The hot tub was another added bonus. There are plenty of walks with rolling hills all around. Would love to come back
very convenient location with parking. Within walking distance of Folkestone 1.3 miles. Great range of Restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. All within walking distance.
The property is very well located and maintained to a high standard. The decor and facilities in the property are modern and immaculately presented. Everything went according to plan during our visit as the information provided beforehand was clear and precise. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed for a few days in the Hayloft and would highly recommend. The decor is tasteful throughout and the master bedroom has a thoroughly relaxing feel. All beds are very comfortable. It proved to be the perfect place for my wife and I to relax for a few days with our children (toddler and baby). We didn’t need to call on our hosts to help with anything but I’m certain they would had been available and quick to help with anything. Spending time in the hot tub in what feels like your private patch of countryside was a highlight.
Great example of upgraded Dungeness carriage house that is both open and private. Would recommend to anyone
At the end of our vacation to UK we decided to spend the last two nights here. We had a large group with several adults and children. Everyone was very comfortable and many people in the group commented that this was the highlight of their trip. Wonderful, relaxing stay, comfortable accommodations, and friendly host.
Had a brilliant long weekend at the Nest recreating happy visits to Dymchurch when our now adult children were 9 and 3. The Nest is quaint and cosy and was large enough for us 5 adults. The best equipped holiday cottage we have stayed in and the bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival was a lifesaver after the drive down. We loved the location. Lovely sun trap garden, direct access onto the very quiet beach (we were essentially returning to the Kent coast to build sand castles!) and easy 15 mins sea wall walk into the centre of Dymchurch and its cafes and amusements. We celebrated a family birthday at Abbots Cliff House recently and I cannot put into words how amazing our stay was. The location was beyond perfect, on the clifftop overlooking the channel. The property was tastefully decorated, spacious and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay over two nights for nine of us. We were lucky enough to be spoilt by fantastic weather which made our stay even better. I cannot recommend this property enough, and look forward to our next visit. Thank you for making this occasion so memorable.
We loved staying here. The place was so clean and comfortable and had everything you could want. Hot tub was perfect and we were so lucky with the weather so spent a lot of time outside. Thank you for having us
We stayed at this house between Christmas and New Year 2024/5 and had a wonderful stay. The house is very well equipped for a family and the location is brilliant. Thank you for hosting us - we hope to be back!
We had an amazing stay this weekend, and Bloom Stays with Sandra truly made the experience exceptional. The house was even better than the photos—beautiful, spacious, and incredibly luxurious. Everything was spotless, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at home. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining this property. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-tier stay and would happily return.
Me and my Partner stayed at Lookerer Shepards hut for two nights! Kristina and her family have the most beautiful land filled with sheep, lambs, cows and chickens, incredible views of Kent’s country side. The shepherds hut was well equipped everything you need and also items which makes the stay feel home from home. As a sheep lover this was the most perfect weekend, watching sunsets with a book and waking up in the morning looking out to a crowd of sheep and little lambs was truly magical. We were so very lucky for Kristina to let us bottle feeds a few of their lambs during our stay w...more
Lower Standen Farm is a collection of 3 beautifully presented properties full of unique character but all the modern touches you’ll need. We had guests ranging from 4yo to nearly 80yo and we all found our favourite hangout places from swings to snugs. It was perfect for our Easter weekend catch up and the owner was really helpful and responsive when we had questions. Thank you!
4 night stay April 2026 (Sunday to Thursday) - accommodation very clean, comfortable and modern, hosts very welcoming - location peaceful (a few sheep and horses over the fence at the bottom of the garden, but no noise) and nice dark skies (I saw a few Lyrid meteors during my stay!). Great kitchen facilities (so you can easily self-cater if you want) and excellent shower, better accommodation than a hotel if visiting the area IMHO. Well located, Hastings, Rye & Great Dixter all a quick drive and a Jempson's Supermarket nearby for supplies. Ate out at the White Dog Inn at Ewhurst Green and L...more
Alles perfekt, jedoch der Jacuzzi war einmal nicht hygienisch sauber ,wurde aber am nächsten Tag wieder gereinigt! Ansonsten ein sehr schönes Anwesen und sehr ruhig!
Great spacious house in a beautiful part of the countryside. Very well equipped and well presented. Perfect for our family needs. The heated pool was a bonus. We are considering booking again!
We loved our stay at the Castle Cottage. The cottage was even better than the photos showcased. The historic fittings and decor of the house was incredible charming. Paired with a large dining area and updated kitchen, it was a fantastic combination of old world charm and modern convenience. The cottage was close to central Canterbury, the train station and some delightful shops and restaurants. It's central location meant it was quite loud in the evening with passers by, but things quieted down by 11pm or so. I will note that the stairs are quite steep and this would not be a good fit for any...more
This is an attractive, clean, comfortable and well equipped flat. Not only is it a few steps from the seafront, you can walk to the cafes, shops and pubs in Hythe, and along the beautiful canal. Sal’s hospitality is top notch. Communication with her was easy, and we appreciated the flowers, snacks, wine and milk thoughtfully provided. We will stay here again when we return to the area.
This is my second long stay at this apartment and I enjoyed it very much. It is centrally located with many coffee shops and close to both universities. The team at Bloomstays again were most accommodating. They have a very professional approach and they have went above and beyond to arrange another smooth stay. I would highly recommend them.
West Cottage was a perfect location for our short break. The property was simple, everything to hand, and comfortable. The location was perfectly situated.
We stayed at Hockley House for a week with friends (6 adults, 4 children) and had a wonderful time. The house is large and well equipped and the garden was perfect for the kids to play in and adults to sit and enjoy the great weather we were blessed with. Plenty of comfortable seating in a sheltered sunny area between beautiful banks covered with daffodils and the occasional bunny rabbit, soundtracked by lovely birdsong. The hot tub provided relaxation and entertainment for adults and kids alike. Plenty to do in the area and the host Ange was really helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our...more
What a fantastic house! We absolutely loved our time at the Cot. Everything has been so well thought out and it’s been furnished really well. Our Spaniel loved the choice of dog beds, toys and treats. We had lovely walk to Rye and another walk to the Charles Palmer Vineyard for some wine tasting (highly recommend) We’ve never really thought of going back to the same place twice but the Cot has changed our minds. We will be back!
A lovely property a short walk from the promenade at Tankerton. We particularly loved the hot tub and totally enclosed garden
We booked the barn for my friend’s hen do, and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone was blown away, we all had the best time. Thank you so much!
Our second visit. Lovely location, cosy and beautifully furnished accommodation. A few details would make it a 5* experience. Sofa (only seating) looks nice but isn’t very comfortable for an evening in front of the TV. No shower gel. Our first visit there was a hamper of goodies with Prosecco, crisps and cake…these items weren’t offered this time which was disappointing!
Very spacious, comfortable, and well appointed property in great location. However, the two bedrooms to the front of the property overlook the road and the traffic noise is disturbing - recommend you take ear plugs.
Nice cottage close to whitstable The orchard which is secure for our dog was really good plus the garden next to the cottage
We had a lovely stay at Cart Lodge using it as a base for exploring the area. Each time we came home from a day out we felt that we were coming home as the house was so warm, well equipped and comfortable. Very good communication for arrival Thank you
Despite the heatwave, we had a very comfortable stay. Cosy double bed and our daughter loved the bunk bed. Handy little kitchenette, and it's easy to have barbecues. Our daughter loved looking after the baby lambs. Kristina kindly let her feed milk to them several times during our stay.
The Shepherds Hut is fitted out to an excellent standard with lots of care spent when building it I would highly recommend it
We stayed at The Bull Pen for a second time, this time for a full week, and had a great time. The property is equipped with everything needed and looks even better than the photos. The location is idyllic with a lovely garden and beautiful farm setting - our children absolutely loved seeing all of the adorable lambs and so did we! Highly recommend and we intend to book again. Car essential.
Three families with 14 adults and 1 child stayed for a Bank holiday weekend and it was perfect for our needs. Very friendly customer service from John. We had glorious weather which meant we could use the tennis court, swimming pool (it was just about warm enough) and the outdoor terrace for dining. The rooms are bigger than pictured and very clean. We could have stayed longer.
We loved the location of the house just off the high street and very near the beach. The house was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing with great shower and separate bath. It has a large garden to sit outside. The kitchen was also very well equipped and had a good dining area. Even had wins fridge. I thought it was reasonably priced. My brother and I were delighted with our stay. The cottage was ideal for what we needed for a weekend break away.
Great find, clean and cozy with everything that is needed for a short stay. Pheasants Lodge is wonderfully peaceful, beautiful bird songs and even hares boxing in the field opposite. Feels like a million miles away but actually just off the A2. Makes it easy to nip to the shops or to Bridge for pubs and grub. Thorougjly recommend staying here. The host is friendly and helpful.
We arrived at the farmhouse first and settled into the potting shed to await the arrival of three families, our children and grandchildren. We had brought provisions with us but there was a lovely welcome pack to welcome us. The younger generations made excellent use of the hot tub and the pool was a massive hit, helped by the glorious sunshine. It was safe for the children to explore but they were so busy entertaining themselves they hardly left the environs of the house ! Thank you very much, we could be back !
Beadles was the perfect venue for a multigenerational (11 years to 90 years of age) Easter break. The house has lots of character and plenty of area for a spot of quiet reading, when you want a bit of down time. The lounge area with open fire had plenty of space for everyone to gather, the dining room is perfect for family meals and the kitchen is large and well equipped for catering for a large group. The house was very clean, warm and well maintained. Garden was huge and would be ideal on a sunny day for relaxing. Perfectly placed near to a beach and on a private estate, which ensured nights...more

Great accommodation in a lovely spot - or third visit!! We're planning on another stay next summer. You can't keep us away!
Waters Edge was the ideal house for a celebratory long weekend with 3 generations. The kitchen was very well equipped, beds very comfortable and multiple seating areas so we could spread out.
We had a wonderful week at Sea Spray Cottage – so much so that my daughter made me promise we would come back again. The view from the master bedroom is breathtaking. Even when the weather is rough, you can sit on the window seat with a book and watch the sea. Being so close to the sea – something we had never experienced before – was incredibly calming. We are usually quite an active family when we are on holiday, always trying to see and do as much as possible. However, things were different in Sandgate. Celebrating an early Thanksgiving, we wanted a house where our friends could come together, hang out, eat well and make the best of the Kent countryside. At Lower Standen Farmhouse we were all to do and enjoy all of these things. The house has been beautifully restored with the prize going to the wonderful kitchen/dining room. Surrounded by glass overlooking the lush garden, the views and colours are an ever-changing joy with the underfloor heating meaning that we spent most of our time here. A group of friends and I stayed in Masketts Barn in June, and it was the most delightful stay. The owners had left a basket of gifts for us on arrival, including homemade pear juice that was delicious. It was clear that every detail had been considered. We had a wonderful weekend, sitting in the garden in the sunshine surrounded by beautiful fields. The rooms were clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and bedding. We had a small issue with the hot tub as it had accidentally been turned down, but Andrew kindly resolved the issue quickly. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who'...more

Our family gathered to celebrate a big birthday at The Oast for a few days. The whole process, from booking with Bloom Stays to arriving and meeting the very friendly and helpful owner was smooth and seamless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house has everything you need. Four bedrooms, accommodating 8 people were comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Had a fabulous time exploring the local coastline and all the different sights / tastes that Dungeness Estate has to offer, including fresh fish, the miniature railway and the lighthouse. We also spent time in nearby, beautiful Rye and indulged in some great food there at the Fig, followed by further evening entertainment in the Grapevine Jazz bar, which had a fantastic atmosphere. Rye is also worth a look for the shops too, some lovely places to browse around. A stunning beach walk at Camber was a highlight and the big sky, star gazing from the house was spectacular! we'll be back!
We enjoyed the stay in this wonderful cottage very much. The owners are very friendly. We found bread, eggs and orange juice provided by the owners.
A great weekend enjoyed by all the family. Very clean and nicely furnished property, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds with crisp white bed linen, modern, warm and cosy shower rooms. Unique location close to pleasant town of Faversham yet short walk into the countryside.
Loved everything about Vine Cottage. It is in a great location if you want to walk and explore. Close to Bridge, Csnterbury for dining and shopping. Beds were so comfy with lovely duvets, kitchen is well equipped with everything and it was great to have supplies of washing pods, dishwasher tabs. Spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden which is very private. Lots of birdsong which added to the ambience of this fab find.
Radar is a wonderful, comfortable place. It offers a fantastic view over the beach, we had sunny days throughout but I think it would be just as impressive whatever the weather. We had just 2 nights but to just arrive, park up and not get in the car again until departure was blissful.
Me and my family had the most wonderful stay, to the point we added and extra day and still didn't want to leave. Me my wife and 3 children loved! And we will be 100% be coming back, thank you have having us.
Found this place fairly last minute and couldn’t believe what a little gem it was. Gorgeous surroundings, an oasis of calm. We had a lovely stay.
We had a wonderful week at Dormestone Farm with friends and family. The house is so relaxing, set in beautiful surroundings and very comfortable and well equipped. The pool, tennis court and pool table were great features and well used by everyone! We would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in the Kent countryside, yet easily accessible at the same time.
We had the most wonderful stay in the Pump House which was even better in real life than in the photos. My son literally exclaimed as we walked in the door that this was the best house he’d ever been in. It was comfortable and luxurious and sitting look out at the shingle and the power station through the floor to ceiling windows is quite magical. It’s a very special place.
The accommodation is located directly on the beach. Everything is new and modern. Parking was free in the underground car park. From there, you can walk straight into the beautiful park with playgrounds. As we have a young son, this was great. The harbour is exciting as there are lots of food trucks. From Folkstone, you can also quickly get to Ashfort and the outlet. The service is excellent. We were given tips and every question was answered quickly. We were very impressed by the friendly manner, no matter where we were. We travel a lot in Europe, but we really liked England and will definite...more
Our extended family of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) had a wonderful stay at the Canterbury Barn. The barn is beautifully decorated, with lots of space and stunning views of the Kent countryside. The children loved the hot tub and there was lots of room for them to play and run around. It was easy to get into Canterbury and the local areas. Thank you!
Our second visit here, and just as lovely as our first one. Crow Cottage is in a beautiful setting. We don’t live far from it, but it feels very far away and totally relaxing, and so peaceful. The walks from the cottage are amazing too, so great for dogs. Apart from some shopping in Faversham, we didn’t need to move the car at all. The cottage is very warm and cosy, extremely well equipped and all you need for a well earned break. Loved the conservatory. Watching the wildlife in the garden is a joy. Highly recommend.
This was our first of hopefully many visits and we loved the whole vibe x The bed was so comfortable and we had a wonderful time x
The location of the house is amazing. El ray is one of the closest properties to the sea, nestled just behind the pebble dunes to offer a welcome bit of shelter from the wind. It also lent a bit of privacy as we barely saw anyone all weekend, when in fact there were several amateur fishermen just on the otherside of the dune by the waterline. We've stayed in Dungeness before but this house is in a class of its own. Beautifully designed for style but also comfort. The house seems to be super insulated and the plywood walls and floors offer a warm and cosy feel to the place, without it feelin...more
We really like being here and hope to come back, soon! It's a very local place, but quiet an tidy. We always feel like being home. Thanks for having us here!
We booked this property for a hen weekend and it was perfect for our needs. Sarah the owner was very welcoming and helpful. There was an amazing amount of space for everyone, and a bonus to have the pool too! Would highly recommend booking. We loved the quirks of the property and took up Sarah's recommendation to go to the fish shack in Dungeness on the Sunday (a 15 minute drive) which was really delicious. We felt very comfortable and welcome.
We’ve just returned from our second stay at Bunny Cottage in Saltwood, and once again, it was absolutely wonderful. Coming back felt like visiting an old friend—warm, familiar, and full of charm. The cottage is just as delightful as we remembered: beautifully kept, cozy, and thoughtfully furnished. Everything is spotless and well-equipped, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Saltwood itself is a lovely village, and Bunny Cottage is the ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and coast. Wonderful first impression on driving up to the property, location was perfect for a bit of 'me' time. Struck lucky with the weather and was able to sit outside a lot of the time, enjoying the birds, of which there were plenty, including a sparrowhawk that sat on the fence and shocked the socks off me, closest I'd ever been to one, a special moment. Garden was in Autumn mode, so a bit bare, which is only to be expected, apples all over the place which probably came down in the high wind a few days before but I managed to salvage quite a few so they weren't wasted. They were truly delicious too...more
We really enjoyed our stay at PS1. It’s a beautiful property with a wonderful and peaceful feeling of space and light and it’s in an incredibly interesting location. Frankly, we’d love to come back but would struggle to do that unless basic mattresses are purchased for the property. We tried all of the beds but they are all exceptionally uncomfortable.
Great little property, surprisingly comfortable for a small space, nice rural views from the lovely hot tub, and great beer from the onsite brewery!
It's a beautiful and very clean house. It is fully equipped with everything that you need. As mentioned the motorway is very near, making the spacious garden less attractive. Inside its no issue. Close to Faversham, Canterbury and Whitstable and if you park on the street in Teynham only a trainride away from London. Great walking in the Oare marshes. All in all a great place to discover this part of Kent
I celebrated my 50th Birthday at The Watch Tower, it is in a stunning location, the main bedroom has amazing views of the landscape and the Nuclear Power Station. It is a short walk to the Pilot Inn fish wand chip restaurant. As a family of five (three generations) we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a fantastic walk to the sea and then along the coast road to visit the light house and have lunch in the Railway cafe. It was a beautiful day and my son and I climbed the old lighthouse and got to see the magic of Dungeness from above. On the second day we took a short ride on the tin...more
A lovely, lovingly furnished accommodation with a very accommodating and friendly hostess. The bathroom was cold and the water pressure was low when using hot water.
Seagulls is a stunning property with amazing views out to sea. It has some fantastic features, such as the large bedrooms and the incredible views. But we also felt there were some areas to improve for a luxury property. Whilst we were aware that the property was not the whole building, we were not aware that the owner lived below. We were particularly surprised to realise that she controlled the property heating, which we had to request to be turned on, which felt strange. The parking information also needs to be updated on the website as permits are not £2 per day and we were not offered...more
What a fabulous place! Communication before arrival was great, providing everything we needed for a self check in. We were early so were foreced to sample a pint in the bar which was great - really good atmosphere in there. Once in th e accomodation, we didn't leave or speak to another human! We were blessed with beautiful weather and had brought enough supplies with us. The view is fantastic, and I spent hours on the deck just chilling out. The accomodation was perfect for two. Clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was lovely!
What a unique beach house, it was just perfect spending a week with my adult children and granddaughter (almost 3). Loved the food goodies on arrival; nice touch. It was very, very clean and well equipped, although could have done with more work surfaces in the kitchen, cooking a family meal was a bit challenging. Having a washing machine needs to be clearer on the house profile, I called Bloom to ask if there was one, and they said, there wasn’t, but there was one (which was great) but would have been good to know before we arrived especially when packing for a little one. Bed linen lovely cr...more
Ten of us enjoyed a really lovely 3 night stay at The Homestead. Overall, the property was pretty much perfect for our needs; very spacious living/dining/ kitchen areas and enough bedrooms that those wishing to have their own rooms were able to whilst those of us happy to share were in spacious, comfortable rooms. The property is in a wonderfully peaceful location and it was lovely watching the horses being led out to the paddocks or for their exercise in the mornings. Just a couple of things to mention; a lot of the wardrobes were locked and whilst I understand the house is a family home and...more
Wonderful place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location is near restaurants and shopping. A nice walkable city. Bloom Stay was helpful and accommodating.
A wonderful cosy, quirky cottage, deep in the Kent countryside. Ideal location for walking dog owners, a couple looking for a romantic break or friends. Perfect for a short winter break. Lovely log burner. Relaxing and peaceful. A word of warning, very steep stairs. Felt like we were on a boat at times as the floors upstairs slope so much. This place has real character though and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, seeing the New Year in. Highly recommend.
A beautiful bijou house in a great location. We loved our stay here and would go again. Be aware there are lots of rabbits and foxes at dusk (so cute to watch!) but we needed to keep our dog on a lead around the house as she was waaaay too excited about that and ran off into the night to discover where they lived. Dogs with better recall can be free as the house is away from the road and other properties. For those of you who like a dark bedroom take an eye mask as there are no blinds on the windows and the bedroom privacy curtain only blocks out so much light. It’s a great location for walks ...more
Great for our extended family. Gorgeous pool. Very comfortable and lovely large garden. Would highly recommend
Had a fabulous weekend, the house was clean, big grounds, comfortable layout of the house. Only few minor details - no amenities in showers and only one hairdryer for the whole house
A sensational location and 270 degree views, as close to the sea as you can get without being in it. It is astonishing that a workable living space has been created out of such an oddly-shaped building. It is comfortable and well-equipped and the only sounds to be heard are natural ones, although there was maybe a little bit too much wind to be heard when we were there. Some aspects of the design won't work for everyone. For example, having one room on each of four floors means a lot of tramping up and down stairs unless you are very well organised. And despite the curtains, some people may ...more
We loved the apartment - it was warm and comfortable - especially the beds! We had all the equipment we needed for our stay - although we never found the TV Sky Entertainment Package? Wi-Fi worked well. It was well placed for walking into Canterbury centre and some local supermarkets - Sainsburys and Waitrose. Negative points were that on arrival it was dark and despite the directions, it was difficult to find the way in - not very well lit and lots of small steps to trip up! Fine in the summer, but maybe another sensor light would be good. When we opened the fridge it smelled horrid - ...more
We enjoyed our short break in excellent accommodation, which was perfect for our needs. Clearly a lot of thought had gone in to the accommodation and everything had been finished to a high standard. We would certainly stay there again if we are in the area and would recommend to anyone who is visiting East Sussex, an perfect base for many local National Trust places.
This was our second stay at the property. Lovely views and a very comfortable house. We love it here.
