This was a really nice and peaceful getaway. we arrived at 4 pm as we went out before arriving it was really easy to find and there where so many little touches that made it feel special. thank you for a fantastic mini break (already recomended to a few friends)
Beautifully presented historic building, rural location, personal touches. Made me feel very special!
A lovely house good for all ages and stages. Very well equipped and perfectly located for all activities
Excellent accommodation, very well equipped, spotlessly clean, everything is brand new. Very quiet and peaceful. Brilliant!
Wonderful location, wonderful hosts, wonderful amenities, wonderful place to stay with everything you could possibly need.
West Cottage is simply marvellous, so beautiful inside - every little thing had been thought of. It has a great atmosphere, it cocoons you with its thick stone walls and the elegant furnishings. It’s a great retreat from the outside world set in a beautiful, unique landscape
Really lovely getaway with beautiful walks to Dover and Folkestone. The host was very generous and kind without being overbearing.
We booked a long weekend at the Coach House for my dad’s birthday and had such a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and well kept. We organised for a private chef to come cook my dad’s birthday dinner. The garden is wonderful, the little ones had a blast the tree house while the adults enjoyed Prosecco in the jacuzzi. We loved it and will definitely book again! Also thanks to Brian for all the great support and recommendations.
Excellent house in a fantastic location! An easy walk to the pub which was great for a stroll. The kitchen was fully fitted and excellent table for socialising. Wouldn’t change a thing!
We had a fantastic stay, the room decor was fantastic and clean. The views and surroundings incredible. We will recommend and come back ourselves. We had the breakfast add on, the sausages, bacon and eggs were top quality. The only small constructive criticism that I can think of would be the bread, a nice crusty loaf or sour dough would take this to the next level.
We stayed at Neals Place for 2 weeks with the family ages from 2 to 72 , we had a great time , lovely house , very spacious gardens , we couldn't fault the place , close to Canterbury and lots of great restaurants Blooms Stays staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble We would recommend Neals Place to all our family & friends and would certainly stay the again in the future
WHat a gorgeous place- beautifully redecorated and super cosy. The main bedroom is stunning! We had a great stay.
A wonderful and ultra special stay for friends both enjoying a weekend child free to rest and recharge together. Each of us had a double room each both special rooms neither feeling we lucked out. Huge TVs, terraces outside our rooms and special touches like coffee machines in the rooms, cotton buds in the bathrooms and dressing gowns. The hot tub looks over a meadow garden with stunning views - the sunsets are something! Pub - the Tiger Inn is close by and fantastic we managed to walk in 40 mins. The location is a walkers paradise and the owners leave a picnic basket to take with yo...more
From arrival to departure our hosts were simply lovely. The Roost is sparkling clean and yet cosy and welcoming with top notch furniture and all that you could need. Especially comfy bed! Fresh eggs from the resident hens were a lovely addition to food already provided We visited Wingham Animal Park for our first day, a perfect place for a few hours and possibly longer if you are meeting up with relatives and small children as there are plenty of activities and parks as well as a whole host of animals and a nice cafe. Much more reasonable than Howletts if you just want a few hours out. ...more
I stayed with my family an our dog in the east cottage for 4 days. It was absolutely beautiful! The cottage is very beautiful furnished und super clean. We would love to come back someday, thank you for an amazing time.
The Motor House Loft provided us with an excellent base from which to explore the treasures of this part of Kent. On arrival we were met by the very friendly and lovely black lab Maisie who was always pleased to see us throughout our stay. Mark and Melanie are great hosts and very pleasant to talk to. Mark has a great knowledge of the footpath network around the property with many walks from the door and shared these with us, the one to Bodiam Castle is excellent. Other attractions nearby were Sissinghurst castle, Scotney and Smallhythe. The Loft was very clean, well laid out and very comfo...more
This property is totally unique with utterly stunning views from all windows. Close to Sevenoaks yet you could be in the depths of Devon infact you could be anywhere. Tranquil, beautiful and breathtaking
Everything was perfect except for the main fridge. It had been pointed out by the owner there had been issues before . We attempted to follow instructions. The fridge did stop working during our stay . Due to being a large party off people we did have lots of food. We did have to throw a lot away . This was my only criticism. Everything was just perfect . Thank you for allowing us to stay
Excellent property in a great location for our house party of 17. The pool and tennis courts were welcome features and we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
The owners have thought very carefully about how your visit can be enhanced. Everything from the surroundings, to the hut itself is just perfect! Well equipped, cosy and I cannot wait to return. I especially loved the easy app guide detailing information you may need from local pubs to hiking trails. Booking is a must!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dunes. The house and garden have been converted with real attention to detail that sets it apart from many other properties in Camber. It was very comfortable and had absolutely everything we as a family of 6 needed over our Christmas holiday. The open-plan space is great if you are looking to spend family time together.
This house is the best house we ever rented. NIKKY was so helpful had from her the best service ever got from any house or agent amazing Nice and clean what ever you need this house has . The rooms are very spacious and big en suites in afew rooms. Grounds are Nice amd clean. Worth every penny will definitely book again this house Thanks again
We absolutely loved our time at The Great Higham Barn Complex! We had our registry office wedding a few weeks before and then booked Great Higham for the (very low-key, homemade!) family celebration. No catering, no band, no decorations (not that any were needed in such a beautiful place!) and just a small group of people. It was so special! What a place to get dressed up and do our vows! Staff at Bloom Stays and the Housekeeper Mandy were super friendly and relaxed and very helpful. Very quick to sort out an issue with the heating in the Oast (fixed within the hour!) and everything was ful...more
Super semi with three bedrooms and a nice little garden and decking right next to lovely Westgate Gardens and 5 minutes into Canterbury centre. Quiet and great too to have free parking on the large driveway.
I think a great place. A real shame nowhere to sit outside in the back no chairs etc It would put me off staying in the summer Lovely house and everything else you needed
Excellent for a party of 12 friends who enjoy walking, good food, countryside and beaches. House comfortable with lots of space and great for dining in. Hot tub also provides great relaxation.
We spent a lovely week at Bonnington cottage. It is convenient for visiting all the seaside towns. The location of the cottage is really quiet and peaceful, the walk down the lane to the village is beautiful and Goodnestone gardens are a must visit. The cottage has everything required, comfortable bed, good shower, hot water, fully stocked kitchen for cooking. We sat out in the garden most of the time as the weather was good, the seating was comfortable.
We had a great stay at The Landing. It was very comfortable and well equipped. Located right next to town and a short walk to the beach. We’d definitely stay again
We stayed one week at Plum Pudding Stables with our dog and we enjoyed it very much. Although the house is located near a road, this did not bother us. The location was perfect for trips to Whitstable, Faversham and Canterbury (max 15 min drive). Dinner at The Dove was also very lovely! (5 min walk). There is also a very nice walk in the Blean woods (5 km) that starts near The Dove. Information about the walk can be found on an information board outside The Dove. As the weather was really good (sunny and temperatures of around 25 degrees) we enjoyed the garden a lot: reading a book undernea...more
We went for a surprise birthday weekend for my wife, the accommodation was spacious and facilities were great.. Swimming pool and tennis court. Very clean and the grounds were superb.. There were 17 of us but plenty of room across the 3 houses(the oast & 2 cottages) bonus of 3 kitchens for the big birthday dinner on the Saturday night Grounds were well kept and very tidy We are thinking about booking again it was such a great place Top place
Brilliant little cabin with incredible views. Peaceful place & close to Sandgate cafes and Folkestone street food on the Harbour Arm. Great location to explore coast - Samphire Hoe and Dungeness, and pretty pastel houses in Deal. Cycle hire nearby and everywhere is flat paths and accessible along the coast path. Joanna was lovely and the perfect host. We’d love to visit again!
Not sure what the difference is from the question above. The TVs in all rooms were too big especially in the lounge and too high. It could have been put on a different wall with a swing out TV.
We had a lovely week at The Stables at Bells Forstal. The barn was very clean and furnished to a high standard and we had a lovely welcome basket. It was a great location to visit Whitstable, Leeds Castle and Canterbury. We visited some local gardens and did plenty of walking. This is a great place if you want somewhere nor close to a lot of people abs a very quiet spot for sleeping- we would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely stay at Equus Barn. We were met by the owner and then left completely alone for the holiday but knowing where to go if we needed anything. The Barn itself was comfortable and very warm with everything we needed. There is a reasonable road to and from the Barn but the sat nav kept taking us down some very small lanes so beware and check your map! We visited lots of lovely places in Kent and the barn was a very good base. Would visit again.
This property was stunning and definitely worth staying at. Myself and my colleagues chose this property to be close to our work location in Faversham. The cottage dining room was perfect for setting up a basic office and we had everything we needed for a comfortable working environment with plenty of places to relax after a long day! I would definitely recommend this property and we all left hoping we could come back for a holiday in the future!
To arrive here, after a long drive from Switzerland was simply amazing, The kindness and attention to detail are remarkable. Thanks to Sal for taking wonderful care of us. We hope, one day, to be back! The B Family, Switzerland, July 2022
We were really happy with our stay at Cart Lodge. The lodge is beautiful with lovely decor and loads of character but all the modern amenities we could ask for. And the hosts were great, they checked in on us during the storm to make sure we were ok. We would happily recommend anyone to book here so wants a lovely escape to the country.
Recently stayed at The Homestead for my sisters hen weekend with some family and friends. The house was perfect for our murder mystery dinner evening with the large table seating 16 people and spacious kitchen. Beautiful grounds over looking fields and woodland. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Only a short 10-15 drive into the centre of Canterbury. Would definitely recommend and stay again with family.
We loved visiting this cosy and charming flat. We enjoyed the location of the flat as well as the neighbouring towns. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable! Hope to visit again soon.
Had a fantastic few days at this beautiful accommodation. The amazing weather helped, which meant that we could enjoy having breakfast on the balcony in the morning and drinks as the sun was setting. The accommodation was spotless and beds and furnishings very comfortable. Joanna was a very helpful hostess. Highly recommend.
The Old Schooolroom is a comfortable, cosy place to stay. Full of character and great memorabilia, it is fun to go through the old books and annuals on the shelves. Well equipped, nicely decorated and warm, you feel at home very quickly. The owners live next door and are friendly, welcoming and very helpful if you need assistance. Highly recommended.
Beautiful accommodation with stunning views from lounge and 3 of the bedrooms. Very clean and owner very welcoming. A couple of niggles, there was not enough comfy seating in the lounge for the 6 of us, and the showers were not powerful enough and hard to get a good temperature either scalding or freezing which meant we mainly used the bathroom on the first floor. But would not hesitate to return.
Thank you for a lovely stay! The view was very special with the sun rising/setting over the fields. The sheep were in the same field and around us lots of the time which was lovely. We had a nice walk around the field, The shepherds hut was very special, clean and beautiful. We cooked breakfast in the morning on the hob. We had wood for the fire pit and it was nice and warm in the shepherds hut. Thank you for a very special stay Kristina and for letting us stay a little longer!
We had a wonderful stay at Honeywood Lodge with our young family. Everything was accommodated for and my children loved the use of the fantastic private indoor pool. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which allowed us to enjoy the large garden to its full extent. A great property that we have already recommended and cannot wait to book our next stay!
From start to finish the property blew us away. Great facilities to host a large family. The host was also incredibly attentive whenever we had questions and issues.
Darling cottage, everything there for our comfort. I would recommend to others. I do not wish to submit one hundred words!
We spent a very pleasant five nights at this very well positioned apartment in Canterbury town centre. All facilities necessary were available and the only slight problem with the working of the TV was addressed promptly. Minor niggles like a light bulb from the ensuite bathroom and a dripping tap will I am sure be addressed before the next client. Would recommend this apartment as it is close to every thing in the town centre and also easy - as we were doing - exploring further afield to the coast , castles and railways.
Just a lovely stay in a comfortable and welcoming cottage. Oh and sorry I did not put the dishwasher on just before we left my fault apologise.
We spent a week at beautiful Hill House Farm, a lovingly renovated and well maintained home with plenty of original features. The weather was excellent so we got to enjoy the expansive garden and al fresco dining area with BBQ. The setting is just idyllic, and yet it’s 20-40 minutes drive away from various cities/towns/beaches to visit… a really good base to explore all the corners of Kent.
The Buoys is a pleasant 3 bedroom small house / converted bungalow right on the Coast Road between Dungeness and New Romney. The road is right in front of the house - so you always have the noise of cars - but beyond that is the pebbly beach which is peaceful even in the school holidays and when the tide goes out is full of different sea birds. The back garden is pebbly too and gives lovely sunsets and has the miniature railway going along the back fence. Slightly wobbly paving stones on the patio that you need to watch out for and we couldn't work out how to lock the front door from outside s...more
The Figgy is a lovely little cottage situated in the grounds of a beautiful estate. The place has everything you could need for your stay (we especially loved the bath!), and would be ideal for anyone visiting anywhere in Kent. The information booklet provided was very helpful, and the staff at Bloom Stays were delightful and always happy to help. We would absolutely recommend this place, and intend to be back ourselves soon!
Celebrating an early Thanksgiving, we wanted a house where our friends could come together, hang out, eat well and make the best of the Kent countryside. At Lower Standen Farmhouse we were all to do and enjoy all of these things. The house has been beautifully restored with the prize going to the wonderful kitchen/dining room. Surrounded by glass overlooking the lush garden, the views and colours are an ever-changing joy with the underfloor heating meaning that we spent most of our time here. No lonely feelings for our chef ..... she probably had more help this year than ever before! Bedrooms ...more
We had a very pleasant stay at The Kennels. House, location and customer service were just perfect. With the heat in July, a fan would have been nice in the rooms ;-)
We had a group stay for thanksgiving in November 2022. A lovely house that comfortably slept out group of 18. The house is well stoked, great big table which fit everybody and a lovely location and view from the house. One complaint from the group was the pet fee, at £30 per pet per week whether you stay 3 days or 7 days seemed a little steep, but that is the only complaint from an otherwise lovely weekend.
Fantastic stay. Beautiful views, amazing house and great facilities. Something for everyone from 5 to 80 years of age!
Plumcott was not suitable for me due to being disabled. That was my fault and no reflection on Plumcott. Host’s were brilliant.
My only complaint was having to unload everything for 8 people on double yellow lines. Beautiful property, very well equipped. Very clean and tidy.
This was our second visit to the barn, 12 years after our first and it once again exceeded our expectations. A wonderful idyllic barn set in an ideal location. It was well presented with great facilities. Thank you for making another milestone birthday party with all our family possible!
What a gorgeous cottage, well appointed and so comfortable. Best sleep I have had in years. The number of birds chirping away was gorgeous. I even saw a barn owl one night. Helen the owner is really lovely and truly cares about ensuring your stay is the best it can be.
Driftwood Cottage was wonderful. The owner Louise was very helpful when called with a question. The cottage was furnished very tastefully and so comfortable and contained everything we required. The views from the cottage were amazing and were the icing on the cake.
This lovely characterful house and grounds were just perfect for us - a group of old friends celebrating 70th birthdays - playing snooker, croquet & boules on the lawns, sundowners by the fire pit with gorgeous views and bbqs and dinners all seated round the outside table or at the big wooden table in the bright kitchen/conservatory. We were blessed with sunny days so it was a shame the pool was out of use but maybe another time... The rooms were tastefully furnished and had interesting decorative paintings and objects. Kitchen appliances & equipment were generally good and the welcome basket...more
Customs House was an excellent venue for our very large family of 20 - aged from 5 upwards. There were spaces for us all to chill out and plenty room to eat around the large dinner tables. The setting of Customs House is just magical for an outgoing and sociable group - in addition to the creek with boats and a boatyard nearby there are cafes, quirky shops and a great pizza bar with tables outside and serving excellent pizzas which we all enjoyed. We stayed over October half term and were so lucky with the mild and sunny weather but it would be great there in the spring and summer to...more
House was amazing, very modern and great features Spoilt though that you could not see through key feature, the big window. Would of happily cleaned if tools supplied. House very warm, even with no heating. Also people walking past, not as secluded as was made out Oh, and the fog horn beeping for 5 hours (suppose we were next to a light house!) Fish shack was brilliant, went twice
When looking at the pictures, this stay looks very nice. It has been decorated very well, the bed is really terrific and the view from the kitchen of the birds feeding is lovely. But the hut has been designed very strangely. The shower and toilet are extremely small, with the sink so tiny as to be almost unusable. There is a dangerous step from the bedroom into the kitchen and no light switch at the door to see it. The main picture window overlooks the main house car park so pretty boring and no privacy. The house is generally quite dark. The hot-tub is a 'lounger' style so is difficult to get...more
The nicest, most stylish and elegant holiday flat we’ve ever rented! Comfortable, spotless, big, immaculate, and provided with every sort of modern comfs., in the very centre of a spectacular ancient town. However, what made the Loft incredibly great for us was that special feeling we had from the very moment we entered it, which accompanied us throughout our entire stay; the feeling of being at home and a strong wish to remain there for good! Thank you Bloom Stay, you’ve made us discover a hidden gem in Canterbury and allowed us to have the greatest holidays ever.
Lovely oast house in a wonderful location. The outdoor space is fantastic and the master bedroom is gorgeous. The village is great and we particularly enjoyed the boating station and ice creams in their cafe. We appreciated the extras available for a baby like the cot and high chair. The house itself is a lovely old oast house. As with any listed building, there are going to be some things which are a little tired or not to our taste but we expected this. Do beware if you’re 6ft tall…my husband hit his head on the beams upstairs pretty much every day, but again that’s to be expected with an ol...more
A welcome break where the silence was only broken by the surrounding wildlife. Just the right size for two with plenty of outside space to relax. A lovely warm cottage, great to return to after dog walking on the local, well marked, footpaths.
El Ray looks like what it says on the pictures and if you want an unusual place to stay in Dungeness it ticks most of the boxes. Great Views , Isolated and a really interesting design. There is however a BUT. The access is treacherous. On the face of it it looks simple you drive up to the door park and you are there. However although the owner provides detailed instructions- which involves reversing back 40 m - difficult in the dark as I discovered IF you diverge from the track you get stuck in the famous Dungeness Shingle. I did and we had to call the AA out to pull the car free, and the...more
Myself and my partner stayed here for a night, it was lovely the place was spotless, the hosts where lovely and so helpful. It has fantastic views and the bed is very comfortable! I’d say the only thing is I’d preferred if there were a few more solar lights outside because it’s very difficult to see and navigate your way round at night, even with a torch! We will definitely be staying here again
Overall we had a great holiday. We love dungeness having stayed at north vat earlier this year. The two are comparable outside but not inside. Think there should be a welcome pack or if you do not want to provide one then let us know. Also we are used to some basics being there from previous renters e.g. Tom sauce, spices etc. Would have liked to have a tv in living room. Not sure snug would work as a bedroom as have to use an en suite bathroom in other bedrooms. And finally the beds are so uncomfortable. Mattresses need replacing. As I say we did have a great week but improvements to th...more
A very cool place to stay. We loved Dungeness and we loved the property. It was very comfortable for our family of five, with beautiful pieces of furniture and very stylish decor. We will definitely consider returning. It would be great place to go in the middle of winter.
An incredible place, inside and out. We loved being surrounded by light on all sides, the furniture, overall design and location at the end of the track on the incredible Dungeness peninsula. Our dog Mungo loved living on a massive beach for the week too. If you’re looking for somewhere to totally reset brain and body, this is it. The big baths take a while to run but complete the neo-monastic, post-apocalyptic scene.
The property was very clean and extremely comfortable. All the appliances are top of the range. The games room is an added bonus which compliments the house nicely. The area around is nice and quiet which helps the holiday feeling. We would Highley recommend this cottage for a quality family holiday.
We enjoyed our time at plumpudding cottage. We loved the place. A very good platform to explore Kent and the Southeast of England.
We had a lovely stay at Chesnuts. we had a small problem with the fridge not working when we arrived but the owners live accross from the house and helped us. The garden was great for the kids, had a hose so perfect for a paddling pool. All rooms were well equipped
The one disappointment at Walnut Tree was the erratic and poor tv reception. BBC channels really were not accessible and it is not a smart tv, so the entertainment choice is very limited. Otherwise the cottage is perfect, well equipped, very clean and comfortable, in a lovely rural setting but only 10 minutes into Faversham.
Lovely old cottage charm in a very quiet village. Perfect for that hideaway holiday, but you’ll definitely need a car to get around, buy supplies, visit pubs etc.
Keepers Cottage is a delightful place to stay. Although this is a three bedroom property it feels so spacious. The Orangery is amazing, comfy furniture that allows you to relax and view the large contained garden and the views over the countryside. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The location of the property was great, a feeling of being in the countryside but not having to drive far to be in Canterbury. So happy to have stayed at Keepers, felt special.
Stayed at Yew Tree farm for four nights with family to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. 8 adults 6 children and one infant. Fantastic location for Ashford Flip Out, Leeds Castle Go Ape and Whitstable Beach and Ashford for shopping. Kids, and adults loved the great garden area for football, cricket etc. Outside seating area and BBQ could not have been better. Would absolutely book again.
Thi sis a well thought out and lovely place to stay- except they seem to have sctimped on the bed. Most people rent a place like this to sleep in. The bed was very poor.... uncomfortable to say the least. Also the pillows were also pretty poor and had a smell to them. If these things were sorted out I would rank it very highly..... but if you value a good night's sleep I'd suggest you look elsewhere.
The house is located near the main point of interest of the city. The mattress are too soft, I couldn’t sleep cause there’s too much light entering from the windows. Only one key of the apartment is provided.
I had a wonderful weekend with my children at the Coastguard Lookout. We were all in complete awe of the location - right on the beach with a huge and unobstructed vista. We had a mixed bag of weather but it works come rain or shine! Either you are out enjoying the amazing Dungeness scenery, or you are cozy and secure in the tower watching the drama unfold all round you. The building has so many quirks that all add to its charm. It was an amazing experience that we will all talk about for years to come.
