Very clean, very well equipped and welcoming, helpful owner. Delightful property with plenty of room both inside and outside
The property and gardens are beautiful and from the moment we arrived, we started to relax. Thank you to the owner for being so helpful and we would definitely stay again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We loved every single thing in this place. Everything was so well thought and clean. The jacuzzi was a great bonus!
Beautifully presented historic building, rural location, personal touches. Made me feel very special!
Our stay at Sotine Beach House was a great success. The house had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, tv room great for the children to sit and watch on their own, kitchen very well equipped. The children loved the hot tub, which was maintained every day, and they loved the play room. Well situated for the sandy beach and some lovely local attractions.we would love to visit again.
Great location!! Shepherds hut fully equipped and well thought out, even has a picnic basket and blanket. Host is super friendly and helpful. Easy access to local community, walks, cycle tracks through beautiful forests with picnic spots along the way. Safe environment and free parking a short walk from the accommodation. Braai (barbecue) and fire pit. As SAFFA’s was great to sit around the fire under the stars braaing marshmallows. Thanks for an awesome stay.
We arrived at the Potting Shed at sunset. The lights were on inside and it looked magical. We loved the place immediately. The house is very cozy and provides everything you need from self-catering accommodation. Walkers can plan their routes directly from the farm or with just a short drive have plenty of other options. There were several little things that added to the overall feeling of being welcome. The fridge was stocked with locally produced milk and butter. There was a little basket with eggs and hot chocolate. On clear nights the patio around the house is great for star gazing. We...more
Can we stay one more day? That was what we were all saying the morning of our final day at Springhill. It was the most wonderful weekend, a gathering of my friends and family as a post-wedding 'hen-do' celebration. The house is so unique in the most beautiful setting, gorgeous views from every room. I remember sitting in the sauna watching a sheepdog round up the sheep through the window! Beautiful. It is the home of an interior designer and has a warm and inviting aura - much like the lovely home owner Danielle who gave us a tour when we arrived. It felt like a privilege to be trusted w...more
A wonderful place to stay, very well decorated, and it has everything you could ask for, we really enjoyed everything about the place, and we intend to return.
2 families, 4 adults and 4 kids had a brilliant stay. There was plenty of sleeping space, bathrooms and a brilliant large kitchen table to eat and play games on. The hot tub was a real hit, and the fire pit at the end of the garden was great for toasting marshmallows. Location was excellent for walking to the beach, high street and to Waitrose along the peaceful canal. Would highly recommend!
Perfect place for the perfect getaway! We absolutely loved the cabin and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was equipped with absolutely everything we needed, and the owner was the sweetest. We can’t wait to be back!
Our multi-generational family getaway to Camber Sands was wonderful, and Duneland was the perfect home base. We were immediately struck by the architecture and decor—the way the house frames those stunning sand dune views is beautiful. A special thank you to the owners, Anna and John, for being so attentive. They reached out both before and during our stay to ensure we were comfortable and to quickly answer any questions we had; their kindness really made our trip feel special. The house was a huge hit with the kids, who loved the hot tub and board games, while we appreciated how well-...more
Absolutely stunning location location with uninterrupted views of the sea. The location was convenient, with the harbour and town only a five minute walk away. The interiors of the house were minimalist and elegant, and very well considered. Super comfortable beds, mattresses and pillows. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available and there was a lovely welcome hamper. A perfect location for a multi family weekend away at the seaside! Perfect for children and dog friendly.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay from August 14th to August 21st! We were deeply impressed by how beautiful the accommodation is. Nothing was missing, and we felt right at home from the very first moment. If we had one small suggestion, it would be to consider adding fly screens to the bedroom windows so guests can leave the windows open a bit during the night. Other than that, everything was perfect and met all our expectations! We will definitely be back. Best regards, Timo & Caro
East cottage is so beautifully stylish and simple in its interior decor, yet homely and relaxing. It had everything we needed to wind down, cook, bathe, watch movies and shut out the world. We had a wonderful stay surrounded by the unique and atmospheric landscape of Dungeness.
We enjoyed Motor House Loft very much. Everything needed was available, everything was clean and well maintained. The flat has a generous size that fits easily for four. Outside is a small porch where you can enjoy the day (or the evening, even under a heat lamb!). Both, the eating area and the living area are very comfortable. The kitchen ("corner") has a very good size for preparing and cooking meals. From the Loft, there are many venues reachable within 30 mins. The next bigger supermarkets are in Tenterden and Hastings (both about 30 mins away). For the dailys, there is a small Morrisson's...more
A luxury cottage in a beautiful setting. Tastefully furnished with a pretty garden. Unfortunately the countryside setting wasn’t that peaceful as sporadically two very loud men were working on restoring some vintage double decker buses in the adjoining barn - language and diesel fumes not so welcome.
This garage conversion has been thoughtfully and cleverly set up. The location is excellent for the beach and under 10 mins walk to the town’s shops and restaurants. Good and clever little kitchen set up with more than you are likely to use (e.g. small air fryer and twin hot plates). Excellent shower.
We spent four nights at Brook Lodge Farm. It’s a beautiful house in a superb location. It had everything we wanted for a short stay and was perfect for us. Highly recommended.
It was the perfect house and we had an amazing stay. After a little blip you and your team were helpful and communication was good. The house had everything we could wish for. If we were going to make a comment it would be that there was no towel in the downstairs loo and no towel rails in the bathrooms. This hardly spoilt our stay but thought it was worth a mention. Will definitely return. Thank you.
We loved it sooo much and had the best time. The decor is gorgeous, the beds were so comfy and we had everything we needed for a fabulous weekend :) Only thing I would say is that the balconies needed a tiny refresh. There was lot's of bird poo on the glass on the balcony off from the kitchen and the larger balcony at the bottom could do with the hedge cutting and weeds removed down the stairs. These are really only minor things as overall it was perfect!
We (family of 5, three kids under 10) stayed at New England in May half term. It was absolutely wonderful - the whole family loved it! The house is very nicely done-up and kitted out with everything you would need; and the garden is simply glorious. There is lots to do nearby including some lovely walks from the front door. We had a great time and would definitely return (our kids have already asked to do so)!
We recently booked this barn complex for a hen weekend, and overall it was a fantastic choice for a group celebration. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for getting away from it all while still having plenty of space to relax and socialise. The accommodation itself was ideal for a larger group. The communal areas were spacious enough for everyone to gather comfortably, whether for meals, games, or just catching up. The bedrooms were well laid out, giving a good mix of shared and private spaces, which worked really well for our group dynamic. Having access to a swimmi...more
Our stay was just perfect in every way (yes!....lucky enough to have fabulous weather too!) Even more lovely than expected and so peaceful with stunning views from bedrooms and lounge/large lounge balcony. Beautifully designed with a fresh nautical theme but not over 'done'. Spacious, airy and beautifully positioned for Sandgate to Hythe one way and Folkestone the other
We stayed at here for a hen weekend. As the organiser the booking process was great and any questions were quickly answered. The rooms were all very clean and the beds were comfy. The kitchen was a great size and was used by a booked chef who also had positive feedback. We used a taxi service to go into Canterbury, which is about a 30 min drive. I would say you definitely need to either have your own be holes or use taxis due to the location. But we loved that were were out in the countryside.
This was our third visit to Bushes Oast which speaks volumes. The property is spacious, well furnished and really comfortable. We do cook nearly all our meals in the kitchen which is really well equipped, so we did notice the scales had a low battery. Minor but inconvenient. Jan and her husband, however, appeared very quickly to sort them out. We return because their standards are so high and because of the utter peace and tranquillity of the location.
We had an amazing week at Plumcot Halt: * Accommodation was modern, comfortable, exceptionaly clean & had everything you needed for self-catering. The garden area is beautiful, & tranquil. * Hosts are the most welcoming, friendly & helpful couple that you could ever wish to meet, nothing is too much trouble should you need to ask for hints & tips on the local area, while at the same time making you feel like you're staying in your own private little world. * The location is quite & great for exploring Canterbury & everything around it. * We wouldn't hesitate in recommending & we wou...more
A group of 8 friends had the best time catching up during our stay at Nare’s House. Such a lovely house and furnished to a high standard and with everything one would need for a relaxing stay. Very close to some amazing sites too. During our stay we enjoyed the independent shops and food offers and both Folkestone and Sandgate and enjoyed lovely walks at St. Mary’s Bay, Dungeness and a sneak peak of Derek Jarman’s cottage. So much to see and do but also a beautiful house to just enjoy if that’s your thing too.
I stayed for one night at Channel View and we had a lovely time. Sonia and Lee were very accommodating and let us check in early and check out late. The Prosecco and snacks on arrival were a great touch to go with our time spent in the hot tub. I would definitely stay here again!
We had a four night stay at the Coach House for a birthday celebration. Our guests were very impressed with this exceptional property and its gardens. I felt like the lady of the manor for the weekend. The kitchen had plenty of space for everything and we ate inside as well as outside. The kids were well entertained with all the sports facilities and the sheer space of the pretty gardens. The nights were peaceful and quiet. If we have one regret, it is that the time was too short to do everything the house has to offer. The owners really have thought of everything and things are neatly labell...more
A Great time at the seaside with an wonderful view. The house offers everything you need. There is so much to discover
Our stay at Bloom Stays Pilgrim Lodge, set on the McCann Brewery site was very relaxing. The lodge blends rustic charm with modern comfort, featuring cosy, stylish interiors and everything needed for a relaxing stay including a fab hot tub. Its unique location adds character, surrounded by lovely villages and a peaceful atmosphere. Communication and organisation from Bloom Stays were excellent, making everything seamless from giving us an early arrival to departure. Overall, it’s a distinctive and comfortable retreat, ideal for anyone seeking a quiet escape with charm, character, and a memorab...more
The sunsets directly in front of the cabins were stunning, with the landscape constantly changing throughout the evening. There was a wonderful sense of calm as the world slowly darkened and it was time to settle in for the night. The children loved being outdoors, relaxing, exploring nature and playing freely. Feeding the lambs was an added treat and a lovely seasonal experience. The location is perfect for enjoying the countryside, with beautiful walks on the doorstep, BBQs over open wood fires, and the beach less than ten minutes away for scenic coastal strolls. The View at Shoreline is an abselutely luxurious holiday experience. Beautiful location on the beach with the most gorgous view. The house has a modern interior and really lovely decorated. Well equipped with all facilities. We needed some days to relax, and this place was perfect for a calm and slowpaced holiday break. Several beautiful places for walking. The bars and restaurants at the harbour is close and really nice. We can really recommend this place and would love to come back! We came all the way from Norway to visit, we now have about 100 pictures of this stunning place by the sea :)
The house was really spacious and clean. The pictures are all accurate and we really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly too! Thank you
Lovely cottage in a good location just outside of Rye. Clean, well kept and well equipped for 2 families.
We had a week of beautiful scenery and lovely walks. Acorn barn is a great way to wind down and relax. The owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome and even had a bed for our dog. There are a few nice pubs for lunch nearby - The Farriers Arms is recommended and The Woolpack. We would definitely come back!
My family loved this stay at The Old Schoolroom. A beautiful house, very comfortable and well equipped with lots of charm and character.
The Gate house is idyllic, absolutely beautiful. The host, Ange was so friendly and welcoming. I felt blessed to have found this property and will definitely try to book again !
Three generations of our family just spent a week together at Merryweather and we all loved it. It was a well equipped house, very clean, stylish, and comfortable, with lots of areas to relax in. The garden was delightful, with views over the adjoining orchards and the countryside beyond, very peaceful. Harbledown is close to the centre of Canterbury and within easy reach of Faversham, Whitstable, Fordwich and several vineyards etc, so there was plenty to do and see. We booked through Bloom Stays who were helpful and professional.
Kristina has thought of everything! There are so many nice little details and every amenity you could think of. Plenty of hot water and logs for the fire pit. It's a unique stay to be surrounded by sheep and lambs in a picturesque location. We were even given the opportunity to feed the lambs ourselves!
Lovely accommodation and attention to detail to make the stay extra special including a dog gift bag.
Perfect house for family stay. Excellent layout and facilities - all bedrooms with en-suite. Outside kitchen great for BBQ’s and hot tub enjoyed by all. Direct access to dunes and beach made it easy to have fun with the family by the sea. Would thoroughly recommend.
Great place to stayed before and will again comfy bed really quiet magnificent view was great waking up having breakfast outside looking out to sea, everything needed for comfortable stay nice to have beach towels provided and bbq are which I've used both times and the host is very friendly and helpful.
Firstly, Broadstairs is brilliant. I stayed with my wife and 2 year old and had a great time in the town and surrounding area. This house was a great base, good location and great amenities. Only thing I'd say is the road outside can be bit noisy at night (cars etc.) so when its hot and you need the window open you hear a lot. But overall, great stay ans highly recommend.
We stayed for a few days in the Hayloft and would highly recommend. The decor is tasteful throughout and the master bedroom has a thoroughly relaxing feel. All beds are very comfortable. It proved to be the perfect place for my wife and I to relax for a few days with our children (toddler and baby). We didn’t need to call on our hosts to help with anything but I’m certain they would had been available and quick to help with anything. Spending time in the hot tub in what feels like your private patch of countryside was a highlight.
At the end of our vacation to UK we decided to spend the last two nights here. We had a large group with several adults and children. Everyone was very comfortable and many people in the group commented that this was the highlight of their trip. Wonderful, relaxing stay, comfortable accommodations, and friendly host.
Stayed here for a night and wish it was longer. Beautiful clean place with an extremely comfortable bed. Will definitely be back. Thankyou to the hosts x
An amazingly spacious and luxurious house with wonderful pool and grounds. We stayed to celebrate a 90th birthday and managed to host 4 generations of our family over the course of the weekend. Highly recommend for a family occasion
We were greeted by Kristina who was extremely helpful and kind. The Lookerer hut was beautiful and just what we needed for our weekend away. There was a calmness about the place where you could just unwind and enjoy nature.
We stayed at this house between Christmas and New Year 2024/5 and had a wonderful stay. The house is very well equipped for a family and the location is brilliant. Thank you for hosting us - we hope to be back!
The Old Postoffice is a nice location for a perfect holiday with the whole family. The kitchen is very well stuffed with all you need. We lived most of the time outdoors, a very beautiful garden and surrounding. We used the dining room ones, because of the heavy wind outside, it is a nice place to be. The beds are very good and the children had their own cosy bedroom. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We had an amazing stay this weekend, and Bloom Stays with Sandra truly made the experience exceptional. The house was even better than the photos—beautiful, spacious, and incredibly luxurious. Everything was spotless, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at home. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining this property. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-tier stay and would happily return.
We had a great time staying at The Willows, would highly recommend. We especially loved the garden and as the weather was so nice we were able to enjoy sitting outside every evening.
Beautiful, luxurious, fully equipped holiday home which is needed since it is quite a remote property the bonus is the wonderful space and views Not sure that Bloom communicated with owner since they didn’t answer a couple of my queries correctly which was annoying
Great spacious house in a beautiful part of the countryside. Very well equipped and well presented. Perfect for our family needs. The heated pool was a bonus. We are considering booking again!
The house and amenities were amazing - studiously clean, comfortable, and very well turned out. The house is tastefully decorated to a high quality, and the hot tub and garden space is lovely. Cornhole is a great bonus! The beach hut is a brilliant advantage - so lovely, and the perfect place to relax and watch the amazing sunsets. Highly recommended.
We loved our stay at the Castle Cottage. The cottage was even better than the photos showcased. The historic fittings and decor of the house was incredible charming. Paired with a large dining area and updated kitchen, it was a fantastic combination of old world charm and modern convenience. The cottage was close to central Canterbury, the train station and some delightful shops and restaurants. It's central location meant it was quite loud in the evening with passers by, but things quieted down by 11pm or so. I will note that the stairs are quite steep and this would not be a good fit for any...more
Abbots Cliff House was perfect for every generation of our family. Elderly parents on the ground floor with a level access en-suite and a beautiful bedroom for everyone else to fight over. I got the master suite with a balcony overlooking the sea view. The layout and modern kitchen was perfect to host family & friends with the hot tub as an added bonus. The home has everything you could need and Stephen is on hand and very helpful. We all had a fantastic stay.
We were really pleased with this accommodation! It had everything we needed and hosted 11 of us comfortably. All the beds were comfy and allowed everyone to have their own space. It was a time for some parents to step away from the chaos and get together with friends, and it did just that. We were very lucky with the weather so spent all our time in the garden. We all ate together and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. I would maybe suggest some more cleaning materials as those were limited. Overall very pleased with our stay. The silent disco idea was amazing, ...more
The cottage was spotless, well looked after and had everything you could need. We loved aour stay! Easy to find. Walking distance to the famous Fish Shack and pub.
This is my second long stay at this apartment and I enjoyed it very much. It is centrally located with many coffee shops and close to both universities. The team at Bloomstays again were most accommodating. They have a very professional approach and they have went above and beyond to arrange another smooth stay. I would highly recommend them.
What a fantastic house! We absolutely loved our time at the Cot. Everything has been so well thought out and it’s been furnished really well. Our Spaniel loved the choice of dog beds, toys and treats. We had lovely walk to Rye and another walk to the Charles Palmer Vineyard for some wine tasting (highly recommend) We’ve never really thought of going back to the same place twice but the Cot has changed our minds. We will be back!
South beach is a lovely ground floor flat.Really well decorated with lovely seaside theme and well, appointed kitchen. It really is yards from the sea( although there is no view of sea from windows)..but you are so close that you can pop out to the seafront within 3 minutes..catch the sunrise or sunset. Parking is easy on South Road.Lovely walk to Hythe town through park opposite house, via Ladies Walk and the canal. The Nest never disappoints. Lovely location, wonderful sized garden for a dog/s. The property benefits from fronting on to a dog friendly beach, Brilliant.
Beautiful property. Superbly equipped and with magnificent coastal view. We loved gazing out to sea. Don’t hesitate, book it!
We booked the barn for my friend’s hen do, and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone was blown away, we all had the best time. Thank you so much!
The Dairy Barn was beautiful inside and out. Great having the hot tub and so much outside space. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back!
It was very nice getaway from the city, Kristina, her husband were lovely made us feel very welcomed
One of the best cottages we ever booked. Location: quiet and well placed for day trips Wonderful garden Nice people
We stayed at The Bull Pen for a second time, this time for a full week, and had a great time. The property is equipped with everything needed and looks even better than the photos. The location is idyllic with a lovely garden and beautiful farm setting - our children absolutely loved seeing all of the adorable lambs and so did we! Highly recommend and we intend to book again. Car essential.
The property was an absolute gem. It provided a very relaxing holiday. The owners were very attentive to ensure a smooth check in.
Beadles was the perfect venue for a multigenerational (11 years to 90 years of age) Easter break. The house has lots of character and plenty of area for a spot of quiet reading, when you want a bit of down time. The lounge area with open fire had plenty of space for everyone to gather, the dining room is perfect for family meals and the kitchen is large and well equipped for catering for a large group. The house was very clean, warm and well maintained. Garden was huge and would be ideal on a sunny day for relaxing. Perfectly placed near to a beach and on a private estate, which ensured nights...more
Very nice apartment, amazing sea views and just wonderful all round. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and great outdoor space too. The view was just outstanding
Three families with 14 adults and 1 child stayed for a Bank holiday weekend and it was perfect for our needs. Very friendly customer service from John. We had glorious weather which meant we could use the tennis court, swimming pool (it was just about warm enough) and the outdoor terrace for dining. The rooms are bigger than pictured and very clean. We could have stayed longer.
Excellent property, well stocked with kit, super peaceful location we really couldn't have asked for more.
The Shepherds Hut is fitted out to an excellent standard with lots of care spent when building it I would highly recommend it
Perfect accommodation, spacious and modern and every need was met. From home from home comforts to utensils and crockery and cutlery. We had a fabulous time and will definitely return.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed here so we obviously enjoy it. The location is great, right in the center of town just off High St. One huge advantage of this place is that it has off-street parking which makes life very easy if you have a car since parking can be an issue in Hythe. The house itself is over 3 floors and has lots of space for everyone to either go to their room or hang out in the living area. It also has a washer and separate dryer which most places don't have and is a big plus for me. It's always very clean and we're already planning our next stay there.
We particularly enjoyed the yard, facing woodland. The owner was friendly. We did use the buses (stops not too far) as well as the car to visit this part of the beautiful county of Kent. Notwithstanding the literal meaning of self-catering, we would usually nowadays expect to find essential toiletries in the bathroom and some sort of welcome pack in the kitchen of food and drink items, but that wasn't the case here. Perplexing very detailed inventory in the information book, including the 'decorative' items....
Emma is very kind and it was a pleasure to meet her. the house is very cosy and we spent lovely holidays. thabnks a lot
Sea Spray is a gorgeous, clean and beautifully presented cottage with the most fabulous view. We did pop along to Hythe (you can walk or catch a bus from just outside) but all we really wanted to do was stare at the sea! A perfect weekend break in the sun!
Great accommodation in a lovely spot - or third visit!! We're planning on another stay next summer. You can't keep us away!
Finding a house big enough for a weekend family gathering of 8 adults, 6 children and one dog was a proving a struggle until we discovered Waters Edge. The property was big enough to accommodate us with space to spare. The huge kitchen lends itself to entertaining and the view of sun up from the master bedroom was stunning. A garden gate into the dunes really does take you to Waters Edge. A good option for any big group, with golf and a heritage railway close by.
This was our second stay at Little Oyster and I hope it won't be our last. It's perfectly situated in the middle of Whitstable just moments from the shops, restaurants and beach, yet the location is incredibly quiet, especially at night. Although there is no dedicated parking for the house, free parking is easily found on residential streets just 2 minutes walk away so we tend to pay to park in the carpark opposite for an hour to unpack the car and then move it. The house itself is very spacious and stylishly decorated. It's feels cosy yet manages to stay very cool, even in hot weather. It...more
Perfect Place to stay and perfect location to explore Kent and Sussex.Beautiful and comfortable house.A home from home.
Our stay at The Manor Barn was a great long weekend escape. Lucy and the family were amazing hosts and we had a great time. They were flexible, accommodating throughout and helpful when it came to local advice. We couldn’t recommend the property anymore for a family getaway, especially if looking with young kids. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.
We had a fantastic stay at Blackham Farm. We hosted a family holiday with ages from 85 to 3 and everyone enjoyed themselves at the house. The property was spotless and really well kitted out including great quality bathroom products, towels and bedding. The swimming pool became the centre of the holiday and was enjoyed by everyone! Bloom looked after us well and were very communicative. Would definitely stay again.
Celebrating an early Thanksgiving, we wanted a house where our friends could come together, hang out, eat well and make the best of the Kent countryside. At Lower Standen Farmhouse we were all to do and enjoy all of these things. The house has been beautifully restored with the prize going to the wonderful kitchen/dining room. Surrounded by glass overlooking the lush garden, the views and colours are an ever-changing joy with the underfloor heating meaning that we spent most of our time here. No lonely feelings for our chef ..... she probably had more help this year than ever before! Bedrooms ...more
The Appartment is beautyful an the Seaview ist lovley. We enjoyed every day! If we ever return to folkestone we would look for the very same appartment. However we also notices some minor Troubles: The balcony door already needs fixing and the handle is quite corroded. Also: Cooking prooved challenging: Only one Pot and a few frying Pans ... we bought whisk and Spatula ourselves. Only four Sets of Cutlery made it hard to get over even one day without washing the dishes. A broom for cleaning out the sand every morning would also have been appreciated. Anyway: Thanks for the help w...more
We very much enjoyed our stay and our only complaint was that the blinds are too light so we woke up so early
Wow what a fabulous cottage. We ve been coming to Sandgate to stay with friends for 30 years. This year was a surprise birthday party . I’ve always seen this row of cottages on my walks by the sea and was determined to stay in one as it’s such an idyllic spot. It was absolutely perfect in every way. We will definitely be staying here again . ❤️
We stayed at Custom House in Faversham Kent for a week in august. A group of extended family who live all over the country, the house provided ample space for us all to relax and catch up. The Dining space was perfect for group teas and the garden was perfect for relaxing and for the dogs and littles ones to run around in! We felt sofa chairs would be a more comfortable option for the TV room. Great to have a double oven and large hob, however the electric did keep tripping causing cooking time to slow. Could also do with another fridge with 18 adults staying in the house. The bedrooms w...more
For a lovely house that overlooks the sea you would expect comfortable garden furniture to enjoy the views. Would have been nice to have extra crockery not just 6 of everything. Surprised beds did not have mattress protectors as mattresses were stained, particularly the front bedroom. Coffee machine leaked and two parts of the toaster did not work. Not all light switches worked either. Upstairs bathroom needed work where paint flaking. We use Boutique Retreats a lot and the house lacked their quality control. That being said we had a really lovely stay in a beautiful house. Would definitely s...more
We enjoyed the stay in this wonderful cottage very much. The owners are very friendly. We found bread, eggs and orange juice provided by the owners.
Loved everything about Vine Cottage. It is in a great location if you want to walk and explore. Close to Bridge, Csnterbury for dining and shopping. Beds were so comfy with lovely duvets, kitchen is well equipped with everything and it was great to have supplies of washing pods, dishwasher tabs. Spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden which is very private. Lots of birdsong which added to the ambience of this fab find.
Radar is a wonderful, comfortable place. It offers a fantastic view over the beach, we had sunny days throughout but I think it would be just as impressive whatever the weather. We had just 2 nights but to just arrive, park up and not get in the car again until departure was blissful.
We had a lovely stay in Dungeness and it was a great opportunity to properly disconnect from London, particularly during the heat. The location is fantastic, with plenty of opportunities for long beach walks and great food, and having the Snack Shack right across the road was a real bonus. Our only minor gripe was that, despite requesting and arranging a high chair and travel cot in advance, neither was there when we arrived. When the first travel cot was delivered, it was unfortunately covered in what can only be described as bird poo! This was dealt with very well and promptly by the host...more
Found this place fairly last minute and couldn’t believe what a little gem it was. Gorgeous surroundings, an oasis of calm. We had a lovely stay.
This is a cracking cute little cottage in a very peaceful location. Yes it is down a track but any standard car will be fine, just don't bring the Ferrari. 4 adults really would be a squeeze as the upstairs loo/shower room is tiny, but for 2 adults it was perfect. Central location in Kent made it first class for exploring all over the Eastern part of the county. We had a fab time!
Me and my family had the most wonderful stay, to the point we added and extra day and still didn't want to leave. Me my wife and 3 children loved! And we will be 100% be coming back, thank you have having us.
This was our second stay at Dormestone Farm as an extended family. The first visit in January 2022 was excellent - a midwinter weekend away to celebrate a big birthday. Log fires, indoor games, excellent cooking facilities and cosy lounges, punctuated by outdoor walks and visits to the local pub. But the most recent in June 2026 was even better - with longer days (and a heatwave) we were able to make full use of all the excellent outdoor facilities - pool, tennis court, barbecue, extensive grounds and stunning views. We celebrated my wife's and my 50th wedding anniversary with our 2 d...more
Our extended family of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) had a wonderful stay at the Canterbury Barn. The barn is beautifully decorated, with lots of space and stunning views of the Kent countryside. The children loved the hot tub and there was lots of room for them to play and run around. It was easy to get into Canterbury and the local areas. Thank you!
Our second visit here, and just as lovely as our first one. Crow Cottage is in a beautiful setting. We don’t live far from it, but it feels very far away and totally relaxing, and so peaceful. The walks from the cottage are amazing too, so great for dogs. Apart from some shopping in Faversham, we didn’t need to move the car at all. The cottage is very warm and cosy, extremely well equipped and all you need for a well earned break. Loved the conservatory. Watching the wildlife in the garden is a joy. Highly recommend.
This was our first of hopefully many visits and we loved the whole vibe x The bed was so comfortable and we had a wonderful time x
Oh dear. El Ray is just so wonderful. If it had two bathrooms, it would be almost perfect. And there’s so much space to do this. But the BIG issue is that the glass doors are impossible. We just managed to open the only working window a little. We were there when temperatures were sky high and the thought of being able to open up the house made us book …….but it was impossible. As to recommending to others, we would but only if there are 2+ strong people. Such a shame.
We really enjoyed our stay at Cornerways in Canterbury. The Location with the closeby park and the short distance to the city center was just perfect. We also liked the nice garden area in the back of the House - just perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning or playing cards in the evening. The apartment was very clean and well equipped - we had everything we needed for our family holiday. We are looking forward to coming back!
Comfortable house and grounds, and full marks for facilities provided. The heated swimming pool was a great hit with children -- and with many of the adults! The only criticism made by the cooks in our number was that the lighting in the kitchen area is very poor! But, although not cheap, overall Craythornes was great fun and good value for money.
We’ve just returned from our second stay at Bunny Cottage in Saltwood, and once again, it was absolutely wonderful. Coming back felt like visiting an old friend—warm, familiar, and full of charm. The cottage is just as delightful as we remembered: beautifully kept, cozy, and thoughtfully furnished. Everything is spotless and well-equipped, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Saltwood itself is a lovely village, and Bunny Cottage is the ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and coast. It’s rare to find a place that feels so welcoming and special, which is why we didn’...more
Wonderful first impression on driving up to the property, location was perfect for a bit of 'me' time. Struck lucky with the weather and was able to sit outside a lot of the time, enjoying the birds, of which there were plenty, including a sparrowhawk that sat on the fence and shocked the socks off me, closest I'd ever been to one, a special moment. Garden was in Autumn mode, so a bit bare, which is only to be expected, apples all over the place which probably came down in the high wind a few days before but I managed to salvage quite a few so they weren't wasted. They were truly delicious too...more
Four of us - two couples - stayed for four nights. As others have said, the house has been beautifully converted into a dwelling with lovely spaces and an extremely well-equipped kitchen and well functioning bathrooms. The location and the views from the floor to ceiling windows are both stunning. There are a few downsides which other reviewers have also noted (repeatedly): the bed/mattress, certainly in the main bedroom, is extremely soft and uncomfortable - one of us decamped to the snug to get a proper night's sleep; there is a need for some maintenance - the front door is beautifully desig...more
I celebrated my 50th Birthday at The Watch Tower, it is in a stunning location, the main bedroom has amazing views of the landscape and the Nuclear Power Station. It is a short walk to the Pilot Inn fish wand chip restaurant. As a family of five (three generations) we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a fantastic walk to the sea and then along the coast road to visit the light house and have lunch in the Railway cafe. It was a beautiful day and my son and I climbed the old lighthouse and got to see the magic of Dungeness from above. On the second day we took a short ride on the tin...more
We had a very nice time in Kent/ Faversham. The Kennels is a very lovingly furnished place, nothing missing, very comfortable and with a nice big garden. We felt very comfortable there. ….and the weather was sunny and warm☀️
What a fabulous place! Communication before arrival was great, providing everything we needed for a self check in. We were early so were foreced to sample a pint in the bar which was great - really good atmosphere in there. Once in th e accomodation, we didn't leave or speak to another human! We were blessed with beautiful weather and had brought enough supplies with us. The view is fantastic, and I spent hours on the deck just chilling out. The accomodation was perfect for two. Clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was lovely!
What a unique beach house, it was just perfect spending a week with my adult children and granddaughter (almost 3). Loved the food goodies on arrival; nice touch. It was very, very clean and well equipped, although could have done with more work surfaces in the kitchen, cooking a family meal was a bit challenging. Having a washing machine needs to be clearer on the house profile, I called Bloom to ask if there was one, and they said, there wasn’t, but there was one (which was great) but would have been good to know before we arrived especially when packing for a little one. Bed linen lovely cr...more
Seagulls is a stunning property with amazing views out to sea. It has some fantastic features, such as the large bedrooms and the incredible views. But we also felt there were some areas to improve for a luxury property. Whilst we were aware that the property was not the whole building, we were not aware that the owner lived below. We were particularly surprised to realise that she controlled the property heating, which we had to request to be turned on, which felt strange. The parking information also needs to be updated on the website as permits are not £2 per day and we were not offered...more
Had a lovely stay this weekend for my sister's hen party. Beautiful house with lovely views, perfect for our group. Easy to get taxis to Canterbury for a night out and a great base for cooking food and relaxing. Would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as floorboards are quite creaky but don't let that put you off.
A wonderful cosy, quirky cottage, deep in the Kent countryside. Ideal location for walking dog owners, a couple looking for a romantic break or friends. Perfect for a short winter break. Lovely log burner. Relaxing and peaceful. A word of warning, very steep stairs. Felt like we were on a boat at times as the floors upstairs slope so much. This place has real character though and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, seeing the New Year in. Highly recommend.
Beautiful location. Extremely clean. Just some minor issues that would have made it even better. The hut was extremely hot and the automatic provision of a fan would have really helped. Quicker response from the manager regarding issues would have helped too. Overall a lovely stay but I wouldn’t stay again when it’s hot weather.
Booked for remote beach walks with dogs. Location perfect, right on sea front, great views of lighthouse, sea and sunset. Property we felt less let down by the bathroom which was so unappealing and uninviting. Garden unenclosed, several broken pieces of glass amongest the stones. Would be nice to have a welcome pack or even just a cake to arrive to, all other properties we have stayed in offer this. We had no starter fire wood as stated we would, when contacting told to call another … Feel this should have been provided and sorted by booking provider. Bedding required more of an intense...more
It was a very enjoyable stay. It's a clean and homely cottage. The lady looking after the plants was friendly and the garden was perfect for sitting out in the good weather. Thank you for the welcome box. We would visit again. I think I didn't know there were no pavements to walk where we stayed, which made a bit of difference to me. Great train connections from Faversham. We visited lots of places. Some thicker bedroom blinds would help with the early summer sun rise.
Linen house coud be the perfect stay in Canterbury but not this time. We were disappointed not to be able to have a spare set of keys as our son was performing at the Marlowe and needed access atdifferent times to us. We were disappointed not to be informed painters were working in the entrance hall. Had to naviagte several times wet paint. Fridge was not cold enough, freezer needs defrosting as trays were stuck. No instructions for microwave. Wooden flooring had gaps and moved. Bathrooms extractor fans not working.
Great for our extended family. Gorgeous pool. Very comfortable and lovely large garden. Would highly recommend
Had a fabulous weekend, the house was clean, big grounds, comfortable layout of the house. Only few minor details - no amenities in showers and only one hairdryer for the whole house
Masketts barn was perfect for our party of 10. We had the perfect layout of bedrooms, with two tucked away down the corridor downstairs and the other four on the upstairs landing. There was one master bathroom downstairs with the one shower, and then a toilet room upstairs and a separet toilet room with bathtub also upstairs. We had a fabulous time there, the kitchen was superb with the steps down to the extra couch area that looked across the garden and fields. The main living area was large with extra couches on the other side of the fire place. There were loads of games in the cabinets and ...more
Check in was easy.. Sadly the hot tub was not very hot at all which put a dampener on things and the glasses, cutlery were dirty. The set up was also not very private… the other huts very close and felt overlooked for the price and compared to other places we have stayed.
We were looking for a place to stay so we could relax in the Countryside for some peace and quiet. William Penn vineyard estate was just perfect for what we needed to recharge our batteries, the wine was lovely and the setting amazing.. Sally the owner of Wickham Manor was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. We had our 2 year old grandson with us and he loved seeing the chickens and the horse and being able to run around in the huge garden. Although there is no main kitchen, everything we needed for breakfast was provided by Sally. The bedrooms are huge with a view acro...more
A sensational location and 270 degree views, as close to the sea as you can get without being in it. It is astonishing that a workable living space has been created out of such an oddly-shaped building. It is comfortable and well-equipped and the only sounds to be heard are natural ones, although there was maybe a little bit too much wind to be heard when we were there. Some aspects of the design won't work for everyone. For example, having one room on each of four floors means a lot of tramping up and down stairs unless you are very well organised. And despite the curtains, some people may ...more
We loved the apartment - it was warm and comfortable - especially the beds! We had all the equipment we needed for our stay - although we never found the TV Sky Entertainment Package? Wi-Fi worked well. It was well placed for walking into Canterbury centre and some local supermarkets - Sainsburys and Waitrose. Negative points were that on arrival it was dark and despite the directions, it was difficult to find the way in - not very well lit and lots of small steps to trip up! Fine in the summer, but maybe another sensor light would be good. When we opened the fridge it smelled horrid - ...more
We enjoyed our short break in excellent accommodation, which was perfect for our needs. Clearly a lot of thought had gone in to the accommodation and everything had been finished to a high standard. We would certainly stay there again if we are in the area and would recommend to anyone who is visiting East Sussex, an perfect base for many local National Trust places.
My second visit and I wouldn't have returned unless I liked it. A lovely, rural location in a a beautiful 16th century manor house. The accommodation was basic, but comfortable and the host was friendly and attentive. The rooms would be even nicer with a TV in the lounge and running water.
This was our second stay at the property. Lovely views and a very comfortable house. We love it here.
