We had a wonderful week at the Beach House. Both the house and location are excellent. Everything has been finished inside to such a high standard, and it was great to be able to walk straight out onto the beach each morning. We left feeling very relaxed and refreshed, and would happily stay there again. Nicky was prompt and responsive throughout the booking process, helping us to find the Beach House in the first place and answering all of our queries leading up to the stay.
Hockley House was absolutely perfect! We stayed on a very relaxed girls holiday and could not have wished for a better accommodation. The house is absolutely stunning and huge, a kitchen stocked with all the right pots and pans for us to host delish dinners, a lounge & dinning room which was so cosy and welcoming and then each bedroom was beautiful (no one felt they had the short straw as all of the rooms were different but gorgeous) I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here whether its with family or friends - the location was also only a 10 min drive to folkestone but you felt like y...more
Everything excellent for us fresh air sheep and barbecue and nice places to pop out to can’t wait to return
We loved our stay in this beautifully designed, unusual house with the most spectacular views. The kitchen within the railway carriage was particularly well appointed. We will come again!
Would highly recommend Equus Barn and Chaucer House. Really enjoyed my long stay at the Barn over the winter period into the spring. The owners are extremely welcoming, kind and just a pleasure to be around. The location is in one of the most beautiful parts of Kent. Horses, cats and the dog add an extra touch to the place, making it feel like home. Thank you for such a great stay!
An inspired adaptation of a utilitarian building, with a distinctive use of materials: brutalist concrete, wide oak boards and "Beuysian" felt curtains. Very well finished, with a fine and well stocked kitchen and elegant furnishings and fittings. And all in Dungeness's otherworldly setting
Plus: Excellent location: in the city centre but in a quiet area with a beautiful and peaceful view. Very clean and comfortable apartment. Very clear instructions from the owner. The garage is a big advantage. Minus: By adding a shower curtain to the bathtub it could also be used easily as a shower.
I have just spent two of the most wonderful nights with my daughter at the Romney Marsh Shepherds Huts! We were so excited to escape the city and spend some time in the countryside with the sheep. The huts are exactly as described on their website and the reality far exceeded our expectations. They were clean, well-equipped, comfortable, and stylish. There was nothing that we felt was missing. You really wouldn't know that you were staying in a field of sheep if you didn't look out of the window; it was as good as a luxury hotel room. Throughout our stay, we experienced a range of weather cond...more
Six good friends have just finished a 3 night stay in this beautiful Kentish property. Everything you could possibly wish for is here. Four fabulous comfy bedrooms, three upstairs and one downstairs. A fully equipped kitchen diner to cook, mingle and enjoy each other’s company in! Split living rooms. As many TV’s (one smart) as you could possibly wish for! With DVD player in the main room and a selection of DVD’s. As well as a pretty decent Marantz sound system!! A great living space outside with beautiful views towards the River Rother and Kent & East Sussex heritage railway line. It really i...more
Our hosts were the most lovely and attentive hosts ever, they were so helpful and the place was absolutely stunning, perfect for our week getaway! the grounds were beautiful with a spectacular garden and hot tub (which was the perfect end to some great days) I’ve already talked about booking again for next year as we had such a good time! If you’re unsure about where to go for your holiday/staycation do yourself a favour and let it be here you’ll have the nicest time, and book at least 2 nights in the hot tub too I promise you’ll want more than 1!
Had a wonderful stay for my partners 40th birthday. Lovely welcoming host who provided us with all the information and comforts we wanted. A magical experience. Would visit again.
The house was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway! It is very large with large socialising space and so is perfect for larger groups. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a large American fridge which is perfect for the number of guests the house can accomodate. We couldn't have asked for better hosts who were more than happy to cater for our every need. The house was immaculately clean and we were incredibly comfortable throughout our stay. We would love to come back again!
Absolutely stunning property. It’s bunker like exterior gives little away, but step through the front door and you know you’re somewhere special. The house was tranquil, calming and beautifully designed. Dungeness is a quirky corner of the country, desolate yet beautiful. It was a great base from which to explore the coast and surrounding towns. We will be back for sure.
We booked the Last and both cottages for our extended family consisting of 10 adults, 7 teenagers and 1 toddler (and 2 dogs) and the properties were perfect for our long awaited (due to COVID) family get together. We had two families stating in the Past house which is beautiful and so well equipped with everything we needed. All the plates/cups, kitchen equipment you could want (including a washing machine and the much needed dishwasher). The two cottages were perfect for the two families of 4 that occupied them and were equally well appointed. We had perfect sunshine for the entire ...more
Absolutely brilliant ! Mt fiancé and I stayed at Cornerways for 2 months while we were between homes. We decided to use the opportunity of remote working to explore Canterbury while we were between homes and we found Cornerways on Bloom Stays. The rental process was quick and easy and the property is beautiful. A lovely 3 bedroom end of terrace, just across the street from Westgate Gardens, with a stunning garden and only a 10 minute walk from the highstreet. The location is amazing ! The property had everything we needed for out stay and is in a really good condition. The owner and the Bloom ...more
Amazing location and renovation of the buildings. Swimming pool was great and the seclusion away from the road was excellent for the kids and dogs. Sofa bed was small for two adults, could be a bit sturdier.
What a gem of a find. Perfectly located with the beautiful Sandgate beach literally in your backyard.
We recently stayed at Perry Farm with our family for 5 days. There is always an element of worry with house rentals that you will arrive and it won’t live up to the pictures but Perry Farm really did. Wonderful quiet location, really well stocked and spotlessly clean. We were lucky to have sunshine to enjoy the huge private garden and loved waking up to see wild rabbits on the lawn every morning. Thank you for the wonderful stay and to Bloom Stays for being really helpful and answering our questions when we were organising caterers etc to come and cook for us.
We stayed at Great Higham Oast from January to March. It is a gorgeous place: spacious, well equipped, comfortable and in a great setting with a shared pool and tennis courts. It is so quiet and yet not far from the nearest village and with easy access to main routes. Some lovely walks are on the doorstep and it is so nice to be next to a working farm too. Staff at the farm and at Bloom Stays are brilliant and very helpful. A fabulous place and we would love to return one day.
The property was great, as they say small but perfectly formed! It was very cheerfully decorated, warm, well equipped and a very relaxing place to stay right on the beach. Jo and Jerry were very friendly nice people, helpful and responded immediately to any query. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't have much opportunity to use the well equipped terrace and only used the Quarterdeck to BBQ a couple of times but they are excellent additions. Would love to return especially if we could book a heatwave too.
A lovely family holiday home with great facilities and in a great location. Really private / secluded and had the whole of the grounds to ourselves. In terms of feedback - the blinds in the upstairs bedrooms were in a bad state and became a bit of an issue when trying to get the room dark enough for young children to sleep in, the gaps in the blinds meant that light poured in from 5am. We also struggled slightly with the pool temperature - it was manageable for adults but the kids were unable to stay in there for more than 15 minutes because it was too cold. We followed all instructions and ke...more
Wow, what an amazing house!! From the moment you walk through the front door you are wowed at this property, not only by the stunning views but with everything! The decor, the garden, the facilities and every last detail the host has thought of to make sure you have a wonderful stay! There was nothing that we needed that was not supplied at the house, the host was also amazing, checking in to make sure we had everything we need, leaving easy instructions for arrival and departure with recommendations for the local area too! We had such a fantastic stay and we only wish that it didn’t go so qui...more
Absolutely beautiful property, has everything you need for a perfect break. I will be booking again.
Beautiful accommodation with stunning views from lounge and 3 of the bedrooms. Very clean and owner very welcoming. A couple of niggles, there was not enough comfy seating in the lounge for the 6 of us, and the showers were not powerful enough and hard to get a good temperature either scalding or freezing which meant we mainly used the bathroom on the first floor. But would not hesitate to return.
We spent a very pleasant five nights at this very well positioned apartment in Canterbury town centre. All facilities necessary were available and the only slight problem with the working of the TV was addressed promptly. Minor niggles like a light bulb from the ensuite bathroom and a dripping tap will I am sure be addressed before the next client. Would recommend this apartment as it is close to every thing in the town centre and also easy - as we were doing - exploring further afield to the coast , castles and railways.
Lovely home in a peaceful rural location, with fantastic hosts who provided everything we needed and some additional treats on top. The house was spotless and the space perfect for our needs. WiFi was a little temperamental, but managed to get it to work with the troubleshooting guidance in the guest welcome book (which was also very well put together).
We had the most wonderful stay at Hill House Farm. We were delighted to be greater by highland cows and sheep on arrival, in the fields next to the picturesque gardens. The house has a wonderful spacious living area and kitchen, which was perfect for spending time with three friends on our first weekend away together post lockdowns. The bedrooms are beautiful, with the two double bedrooms offering lots of space and light. The twin room is smaller so more ideal for one guest or two children. I downloaded a footpath map app, which gave me lots of great routes to walk straight out of the ...more
We absolutely loved the Radar. It was so comfortable and beautifully thought through. We loved all the many design features. The picture window was stunning. We are cold water enthusiasts and so enjoyed a dip in the sea, a cold shower and then a sauna or a hot bath, looking over the beach. So relaxing, we felt fully recharged to go back to our city life.
We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment provided everything we needed! Being so close to St George’s was ideal for us. Thank you!
Good central location car parking very close 20 pound a day max TV and Internet good House clean Improvement would be small map or better direction as on 1 way street Sat navigation no good Garden nice and furniture OK But lot of weeds and wooden step rotton needs some TLC
The Figgy is a lovely little cottage situated in the grounds of a beautiful estate. The place has everything you could need for your stay (we especially loved the bath!), and would be ideal for anyone visiting anywhere in Kent. The information booklet provided was very helpful, and the staff at Bloom Stays were delightful and always happy to help. We would absolutely recommend this place, and intend to be back ourselves soon!
We had a wonderful long weekend at Dormestone house. The property and the grounds are enormous with plenty of spaces to escape to and find peace. The weather was incredible so we enjoyed the pool and the tennis courts, the gas bbq, and bike rides in the nearby North Downs. The gardens are stunning. The house is well equipped for fun with tennis rackets and balls available to borrow, a huge snooker table, chess board, games and books for all ages. There is a small undercounter fridge in the kitchen but fear not, the utility room has a large fridge and freezer. I would say the property was no...more
The cottage was lovely, just as the description and pictures on the website. The owners were just next door so easy to get any help if needed. Plenty of cutlery and crockery. Lovely few essentials (milk, butter, coffee, tea, sugar, bread and some dog treats too). Very comfortable bed. Quiet environment, just the birds. Would recommend the cottage. Just needs a little sign on the gate as it was a little obscure.
There was ten of us (3 generations) and the house suited us all, it was spacious and extremely comfortable. Despite the weather not being great for early July the beautifully warm heated pool and games room more than made up for this and both were well used. We also enjoyed exploring the local towns and beaches - at low tide, Dymchurch has an amazing sandy beach. The kitchen was very well equipped (although extra bin liners and tin foil or cling film would have been appreciated) with plenty of crockery, glasses etc for 10 or more people. Likewise the 'garden kitchen' was well stocked with ...more
We had such a lovely break at the fog signal box. It really is an extraordinary place to stay. Super magical. For future it would be nice if there had been loo paper [!] and a few more supplies for guests. When paying this amount per night, in comparison to other places, eg a small amount of milk/eggs/bread/butter - something that shows some thought for the guests who may have travelled a long way -this would be SUCH a nice touch! A welcome basket of nibbles, something... The bed was comfy but the duvet was super old, very thin and scruffy. The bedding also - it had a rip on one side. F...more
Great staycation with exclusive use of swimming pool and tennis court. Lovely surroundings, quiet and calm atmosphere. The place is generally comfortable although the attic is too hot and stuffy to sleep even with the windows open. I would suggest the host provide a fan upstairs. Also there is no chopping board and sieve in the kitchen for self catering.
This was our second visit to the cottage and it was lovely to be back. We really enjoy the quiet location but it’s nice and central to reach the sites and attractions that Kent has to offer. Definitely try out Macknade farm shop and it’s cafe in Faversham. Perhaps some Oil on the bathroom door hinges to stop waking up partners in the night is my only suggestion .
Superb characterful country cottage in relaxing and peaceful surroundings and lots to explore in the area
great place. very beautiful and well equipped. we liked it very much. unfortunately, the hot tub was not working. most importantly, the Wi-Fi was of very poor quality, not designed to cover such a large place and a large group of people. If the Wi-fi is fixed, we would be happy to come back.
We had a wonderful relaxing few days at Cavallo Barn, lots to see and do around that area. Martin made us feel welcome.
This was a perfect location for a post-lockdown holiday - we loved it. Thank you. For BLOOM - one of the small fridges kept turning itself off... think it needs replacing. Also, the mattress on the top floor has springs that you can feel when you sleep on it, one of them left a scratch on me...... It's very old and honestly, I think it needs replacing. Aside from this, the coastguard look out is a unique and wonderful space and we feel lucky to have had the chance to stay there. Thank you so much
