Plus: Excellent location: in the city centre but in a quiet area with a beautiful and peaceful view. Very clean and comfortable apartment. Very clear instructions from the owner. The garage is a big advantage. Minus: By adding a shower curtain to the bathtub it could also be used easily as a shower.
The place was a great stay for my girlfriend and myself, which had everything we needed. The hosts were more than helpful with any requests and the hot tub was fantastic.
We had a lovely stay at Motor House Loft in Sandhurst. The property location is excellent for exploring the surrounding Kent/East Sussex countryside. Superb accommodation, very well appointed and an excellent shower! Our hosts were really quite lovely and we felt nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this property.
We had a wonderful week at the Beach House. Both the house and location are excellent. Everything has been finished inside to such a high standard, and it was great to be able to walk straight out onto the beach each morning. We left feeling very relaxed and refreshed, and would happily stay there again. Nicky was prompt and responsive throughout the booking process, helping us to find the Beach House in the first place and answering all of our queries leading up to the stay.
Hockley House was absolutely perfect! We stayed on a very relaxed girls holiday and could not have wished for a better accommodation. The house is absolutely stunning and huge, a kitchen stocked with all the right pots and pans for us to host delish dinners, a lounge & dinning room which was so cosy and welcoming and then each bedroom was beautiful (no one felt they had the short straw as all of the rooms were different but gorgeous) I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here whether its with family or friends - the location was also only a 10 min drive to folkestone but you felt like y...more
The East Cottage is exactly as you can see from the pictures - spacious, very well decorated and equipped (especially the kitchen!). The location, if you like to be lost in the special nature of the area, is magical. And, bonus, Kathryne has been a very attentive host.
We stayed at Channel View with two dogs for 2 nights. Had a great welcome, everything was thought about for us and the dogs. The homeowners are very friendly and makes you feel at home. The place is immaculate & the views are breathtaking, if I could attach a picture of the sunset I would.
We stayed at Neals Place for 2 weeks with the family ages from 2 to 72 , we had a great time , lovely house , very spacious gardens , we couldn't fault the place , close to Canterbury and lots of great restaurants Blooms Stays staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble We would recommend Neals Place to all our family & friends and would certainly stay the again in the future
Would highly recommend Equus Barn and Chaucer House. Really enjoyed my long stay at the Barn over the winter period into the spring. The owners are extremely welcoming, kind and just a pleasure to be around. The location is in one of the most beautiful parts of Kent. Horses, cats and the dog add an extra touch to the place, making it feel like home. Thank you for such a great stay!
Second visit to the barn and it was just as good as the last, this time we also booked the cottages and our guests that slept in them where delighted, really lovely and perfect for 4 people, this is a wonderful place for a very large family like ours, the children love the place, swimming pool, tennis court, massive outside area to play in, if only the weather had been kinder. Hope to see it all again next year.
Everything excellent for us fresh air sheep and barbecue and nice places to pop out to can’t wait to return
We and our 13 months old dog had a wonderful short stay. It’s a magnificent house from the location to the big design and the elegant small touches. Very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Inner ‘courtyards’ very useful with the dog as was the long lead so we could all sit out on the decking and admire the beautiful sunsets. Dungeness and the Marsh are stunning locations, and the Iast few hot days of summer helped. Just the sound of sea and gentle breeze to listen, aside from the occasional tannoy announcement from the power station. El Ray is now definitely on our short list of places w...more
Superb location, holiday home and communications with both the agent and the owners. Everything excellent!
We loved our stay at Perry Farm. Our family were staying here for our Wedding nearby and it couldnt have been a more perfect place to all be together. A very memorable and lovely stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others or return :-)
Wonderful stay and we enjoyed the peace & quiet. Well equipped hut and lots of extra tasty delights
This is a traditional end of a 4 unit terrace/semi-detached type of post war property. it has ample parking alongside the house for up to 3 cars. Secure rear garden. It is very well looked after by the owner and great attention is given to providing everything that guests are likely to need and making it easy for them. The furniture and fittings are not brand new but in good condition and as your own home might be (or better in our case!). The kitchen is very modern and spacious and fully equipped. The location is quiet, across the road from beautiful public gardens and the River Stour, with...more
Overall fabulous! Location perfect. Amazing views. Excellent design. Downstairs shower a bit dodgy. Everyone used upstairs. Dishwasher very small. Lack of tea towels. Lack of pantry space.
We had a lovely relaxing stay at Plum Pudding Stable. The property is in a quiet rural location with a beautiful garden to the front. Unfortunately we didn't have the greatest weather during our stay so were unable to make use of the outdoor furniture. It was a perfect base for lots of day trips in the surrounding area and also has a fantastic pub only 5 mins walk away. Comfortably furnished with everything you need for a home away from home. The only minor problem was the flaky WiFi throughout our stay, however the owner did come out in the pouring rain after we'd arrived to help fix it (and w...more
The Pump Station is an incredible house, full of interesting and unusual character, it made for a completely unique stay. The house was very well equipped, particularly in the kitchen with absolutely everything you could need to cook in house. The location was great, just a few minutes walk to the beach and with incredible views over Dungeness peninsula and of the power station, making for an atmospheric location.
We were very happy with the house. We had everything that we needed and it was perfect for a group of friends to stay in and have their own space. Lovely spacious property. To be honest we were happy with everything. If we had anything to say that wasn’t positive is that the property was tricky to find as there is no sign on the road!! Otherwise we loved it.
What a great house, in a wonderful spot of a lovely town. We had a great time and would highly recommend this house. Very easily accessed and all very clean and tidy too.
Stayed for 3 nights and it was glorious! The beach side accommodation was perfect for the two of us plus the weather was glorious which made it even better. It was clean, well equipped and the host we met, Jo, was a gracious host. There is no oven but a portable hob, microwave and slow cooker meant you could, very easily, prepare simple meals without a loss of hassle. There is a tiered BBQ area you can also use as well as a large patio area overlooking the sea. You can walk from there to both Folkestone and Hythe along the sea front but only minutes away from local shops. We had a wonderfu...more
We had a very good relaxing stay. The cottage is charming and right on the beach and the neighbourhood is very friendly and welcoming. The parking can be a bit tricky on nice days when lots of people come to the beach.
We had the Oast House plus the 2 cottages. Lovely places. Pool and tennis court a great bonus, beds really comfy. Would happily stay again.
We had a lovely week at The Stables at Bells Forstal. The barn was very clean and furnished to a high standard and we had a lovely welcome basket. It was a great location to visit Whitstable, Leeds Castle and Canterbury. We visited some local gardens and did plenty of walking. This is a great place if you want somewhere nor close to a lot of people abs a very quiet spot for sleeping- we would definitely recommend.
A perfect cottage for a relaxing break for the two of us. Hard to find any fault, and would highly recommend.
Beautiful accommodation with stunning views from lounge and 3 of the bedrooms. Very clean and owner very welcoming. A couple of niggles, there was not enough comfy seating in the lounge for the 6 of us, and the showers were not powerful enough and hard to get a good temperature either scalding or freezing which meant we mainly used the bathroom on the first floor. But would not hesitate to return.
Lovely pkace to stay only critism as we gad such lovely weather would have been nice to have had some comfy outdoor chairs/ loungers. There was also a lot of bees by the pool which could be a problem with small children
Family get together for 70 th birthday The house and gardens are beautiful Something for everyone . Lovely location and peaceful
Lovely stay, lovely company Pool and house were a great stay cation, good proximity to canterbury and surrounding seaside
A lovely little apartment located a few steps from Canterbury cathedral. Tucked away in the midst of the bustle. Apt has everything you need a home from home. Very spacious with a private roof terrace. The House keeping team were very kind, most pleasant and flexible and made sure you had everything you required.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Shepherds hut, firstly the location is perfect with far reaching views across the countryside. The shepherds hut was very comfortable and provided everything we needed with some thoughtful extra touches from the owner. Apart from simply unwinding with a good book and making use of the fire pit outside, the shepherds huts are in a good location to enjoy the coast and countryside, lots of walks and good pubs to stop at in the area. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.
We spent a very pleasant five nights at this very well positioned apartment in Canterbury town centre. All facilities necessary were available and the only slight problem with the working of the TV was addressed promptly. Minor niggles like a light bulb from the ensuite bathroom and a dripping tap will I am sure be addressed before the next client. Would recommend this apartment as it is close to every thing in the town centre and also easy - as we were doing - exploring further afield to the coast , castles and railways.
We had a wonderful long weekend at Dormestone house. The property and the grounds are enormous with plenty of spaces to escape to and find peace. The weather was incredible so we enjoyed the pool and the tennis courts, the gas bbq, and bike rides in the nearby North Downs. The gardens are stunning. The house is well equipped for fun with tennis rackets and balls available to borrow, a huge snooker table, chess board, games and books for all ages. There is a small undercounter fridge in the kitchen but fear not, the utility room has a large fridge and freezer. I would say the property was no...more
The Figgy is a lovely little cottage situated in the grounds of a beautiful estate. The place has everything you could need for your stay (we especially loved the bath!), and would be ideal for anyone visiting anywhere in Kent. The information booklet provided was very helpful, and the staff at Bloom Stays were delightful and always happy to help. We would absolutely recommend this place, and intend to be back ourselves soon!
Really pretty place, lovely big master bed and great space for lots of people to gather. Kitchen has everything you’d need for cooking for that number of people and so good to have two dishwashers. The hot tub was a great addition and the pool was fun. A shame the other people didn’t put the cover back on so it was a little cold. Only downside some of the towels were stained and we got a call at 9am from the supervisors which wasn’t ideal considering we were obviously on holiday having lie ins. But all in all great stay thank you for having us!
We had a really lovely stay at Hill House Farm. The house itself is very spacious and comfortable, plenty of room for five adults, a small child and a baby. But the third bedroom is small and may be better suited to two small children or one adult. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and crockery. There is a washer, dryer, dishwasher, full-size fridge and separate freezer. The rural location is great, the surroundings were beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed having the cows, sheep and ducks as neighbours. It was easy to get to Folkestone, Canterbury and Ashford, where we enjoyed a ...more
RADAR on Dungeness beach is a wonderful place to spend some time, while enjoying the otherworldly surroundings and somewhere I'd highly recommend. The building itself looks fairly plain from a distance, and lacks some of the architectural impact of some of the other holiday homes in the area. In fact you could be forgiven for thinking it looked like the remains of a PoW camp on first inspection, with its plain facade, lack of street facing windows and corrugated walls and roof. However this is very much a stealth home, with the details only really coming clear on closer inspection. The russet ...more
Hard to fault this property, everything is clean & well provided for you - lots of lovely little touches such as soaps, shower gels, washing machine tablets etc. etc. I had 2 issues only; 1) Parking - this at the nearby Grand Burstin hotel - they don't guarantee you a space & you may get blocked in with double parking! 2) The washing machine is excellent, but maybe a washer dryer might be better as nothing dries in the basement location where the hangers are! Those may be nit picking - certainly wouldn't stop us going back. Mike
We had a weeks stay with our extended family. The Oast is perfectly positioned to explore the Kent and East Sussex areas. The property has a host of original charm and is in good condition well equipped with lovely large open spaces for the children to play safely. Would highly recommend it.
The cottage was lovely, just as the description and pictures on the website. The owners were just next door so easy to get any help if needed. Plenty of cutlery and crockery. Lovely few essentials (milk, butter, coffee, tea, sugar, bread and some dog treats too). Very comfortable bed. Quiet environment, just the birds. Would recommend the cottage. Just needs a little sign on the gate as it was a little obscure.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Naval Officers House, lots of space for our party of 4 adults, 2 children and a baby. The swimming pool was a definite highlight and the beautiful tiered garden was perfect for playing games. Sandgate is a lovely spot, lots of options for coffee and snacks and of course beautiful sea views. We were lucky that our trip coincided with the Sandgate food festival which was super fun.
Stunning property with fantastic interior, top quality fit out slightly let down by uncomfortable bedding, lack of decent cleaning equipment, bath not working, internet unavailable for part of stay and nothing done. With a few tweaks this could be excellent in every category
This was a really lovely break that we booked at short notice. The location of the cottage was excellent, a few minutes walk from cathedral and main shopping area. The cottage was nicely furnished, I have scored it as 4/5 as there were a few minor faults: no welcome pack on arrival ( thought this was provided by the office team at Blooms as soon as I requested) there was a very loose toilet seat in the bathroom, the roadside windows were very dirty and the frosting cover to 2 panes of lower part of window had peeled off.
This is a stunning property that is well equipped with excellent facilities and stunning views. The location is quite remote and a bit tricky to find but when you get there it's definitely worth it! The bedrooms are very spacious and all en-suite. Some of the day beds are a bit lumpy and that would really be my only complaint! Bloom stays are a fantastic company to work with and John the House Manager was very helpful and accommodating. A great house for a party weekend and we were especially lucky because the sun shinned for us. I would have no hesitation in booking this house again.
Amazing location and a wonderfully personal service provided by Nicola and her team. The barn comfortably fit 13 of us, plenty of space for the children to run around and explore. We were blown away by the views, Canterbury is a beautiful place to explore. Thank you!
This was our 3rd stay so it speaks for itself, might be a bit isolated for some people but we love it just 5mile from Faversham and lots of fantastic walks, cottage is very cosy with everything you need.the drive up to it leave a bit to be desired very rough.conservatory carpet needs replacing and the shower needs some attention but apart from that it was brilliant.
Beautiful cottage, really well presented. Excellent position for exploring Kent. The gardens are large but, for the majority of our stay were unusable as the grass hadn't been cut so was full of crane flies and really damp until the afternoon, which was a shame. Interior is tasteful and immaculate. The shower is a let down ...small and difficult to clean so looks a bit grubby around the doors.
We know Dungeness well and have stayed before at another venue. We had a wonderful holiday this time, the weather was perfect and the house and location was a major plus. The open plan and minimalist design with uninterrupted views was inspirational. One problem with simple design solutions, however, is that any blemish is obvious and the house is looking like it needs some TLC. Light switches that don't work, cracks in floor tiles and plaster and a glazed door that won't open will soon detract from the overall effect. When we pay a premium fee the expectations are high and details matter. N...more
We had a really nice stay and the kids really enjoyed it. The area is nice and quiet. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come back
great place. very beautiful and well equipped. we liked it very much. unfortunately, the hot tub was not working. most importantly, the Wi-Fi was of very poor quality, not designed to cover such a large place and a large group of people. If the Wi-fi is fixed, we would be happy to come back.
Chestnuts house and barns were perfect size for our group. Our “even better if” would be: decent cooking pans to reflect number of guests; maybe curtains in the bedrooms to reduce sunlight in the mornings and most importantly decent garden furniture. The bench provided broke with two members of our family sitting on it - on inspection it was rotten through at the joints and unfortunately the concrete seating had a large crack so we avoided using that all week. The staff at Bloom Stays were very helpful with our booking and customer service and the owners were helpful on site. Would use ...more
A beautiful house in a tranquil rural location with everything we needed. Unfortunately it got off to a bad start as the cleaners turned up just before we arrived to check in, we were told they were running late but were also told the previous holidaymakers had left the place in a state - it meant we didn't have full access to the house until after 6pm which wasn't ideal with small children. We received an email apology although a call from Bloom stays would have been more appropriate. After that, no complaints - estate manager Paul responded quickly to any queries (he brought a high chair whi...more
Garden is amazing well designed and has everything you would need. House is a great entertainment area for family or friends.
Wanting to spend a milestone birthday somewhere different, we chose Dungeness in January! Covid however prevented this and a subsequent re-booking for March was also affected, eventually we got there in September. We booked the Coastguard lookout and expecting something unusual we were not disappointed. The impression this building makes on entering is a ‘wow’. Exploring all floors with the views, the tasteful and elegant design is so right for the building, we liked it so much that we wanted to re-book but sadly for next January it was already reserved. However, we did manage to book t...more
