I was welcomed by the friendliest host. A very nice touch of fresh bread and milk was in the kitchen. I had a lovely stay. Everything I needed and more. Parking, well equipped kitchen, TV, wifi, comfortable bed and more. Would highly recommend The Roost
We absolutely loved staying at The Coach House. The cottage is enormous and everyone had a great time exploring all the different areas, both inside the house and outside. Everything is excellently laid out, and we loved alternating sitting by the fire in the evening in the library and sitting in the hot tub in the garden. Having been to a couple of large holiday cottages I can certainly say this is an extremely good one, very well located for the railway station and extremely well presented with everything you could want! Worth knowing that some of the recommended walks trek through farmers' ...more
We had a fantastic stay, the room decor was fantastic and clean. The views and surroundings incredible. We will recommend and come back ourselves. We had the breakfast add on, the sausages, bacon and eggs were top quality. The only small constructive criticism that I can think of would be the bread, a nice crusty loaf or sour dough would take this to the next level.
We stayed at Neals Place for 2 weeks with the family ages from 2 to 72 , we had a great time , lovely house , very spacious gardens , we couldn't fault the place , close to Canterbury and lots of great restaurants Blooms Stays staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble We would recommend Neals Place to all our family & friends and would certainly stay the again in the future
A lovely house good for all ages and stages. Very well equipped and perfectly located for all activities
Really great spot, we were 3 adults and comfily accommodated in the gate house. Beds and linens were very great, and the place was clean and in a good location for local walks and exploring. Would very much recommend.
We had a glorious stay at The Hayloft, it's a beautiful house with every amenity you could need! Hot tub was private and very clean. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with all the mod cons. Upstairs living dining and kitchen are beautiful and perfect for a romantic weekend getaway with games, a fire, and a huge TV. Thank you so much - we can't wait to return!
The cottage is stunning , spotlessly clean , comfortable beds , sofa . And huge kitchen . Garden area lovely with enjoyable views The owners where lovely and nothing to much trouble We will defiantly be returning Thank you for a lovely time
Really lovely getaway with beautiful walks to Dover and Folkestone. The host was very generous and kind without being overbearing.
We stayed at Lacton Manor Barns (both properties) for a week and really enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival we were met by Jane and we met her partner later. The property is very nice, modern, well equipped and spacious. It was spotless and very pleasant. The enclosed garden was lovely and our dog really enjoyed pottering around in it
Beautifully presented historic building, rural location, personal touches. Made me feel very special!
Lark Rise is a fantastic property, very well designed, a great layout, with everything you could need and more. My family and I were so relaxed and comfortable at the property. Great to have a place to stay so near to the lovely beach but still with privacy. Would highly recommend!
Clean, comfortable and warm accommodation. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. We will be stopping again.
West Cottage is simply marvellous, so beautiful inside - every little thing had been thought of. It has a great atmosphere, it cocoons you with its thick stone walls and the elegant furnishings. It’s a great retreat from the outside world set in a beautiful, unique landscape
Fabulous stay for my little family. We enjoyed the spacious living and were delighted to have the hot tub for our smaller group. The pub The Dove is literally on foot five minutes away which meant we didn’t have to cook every night. The views are really special and you are very much in the countryside but within a short five minutes drive to the main roads to get to the beaches and even back to Canterbury in less than 10 minutes.
A lovely stay at East Cottage. The cottage has been beautifully restored. Each room is full of charm, and the place makes for a very comfortable stay. The surroundings are completely unique - and the Roundhouse is perfectly situated in the midst of Dungeness. Absolutely recommend!
The Motor House Loft provided us with an excellent base from which to explore the treasures of this part of Kent. On arrival we were met by the very friendly and lovely black lab Maisie who was always pleased to see us throughout our stay. Mark and Melanie are great hosts and very pleasant to talk to. Mark has a great knowledge of the footpath network around the property with many walks from the door and shared these with us, the one to Bodiam Castle is excellent. Other attractions nearby were Sissinghurst castle, Scotney and Smallhythe. The Loft was very clean, well laid out and very comfo...more
Channel View is nothing short of perfect for a coastal get away that balances a rural and secluded retreat with a chic and modern living space. Super well appointed, every little detail has been thought of to make the stay exactly what you want to it, be that a cosy hideaway through to a fun and comfortable base for some local coastal exporting. We only booked to stay for a night to getaway and it delivered everything we needed and then some. The chilled Prosecco on arrival, the perfect temperature of the hot tub, the stylish décor, the breath-taking views and the incredibly welcoming hosts ...more
This property is totally unique with utterly stunning views from all windows. Close to Sevenoaks yet you could be in the depths of Devon infact you could be anywhere. Tranquil, beautiful and breathtaking
Arranged this stay as a surprise for my boyfriends 30th with a group of 22 friends. Everyone had the most amazing time and were very impressed by the house. I couldn't recommend Finchcocks Oast enough! When looking for houses to host a large group, something that I really struggled with was a space for a large group to gather in - Finchcocks is perfect for this. The kitchen and living space are so big and there were no issues at all with space. Bedrooms are a nice size, well decorated.
What a spectacular house to stay in. It was an ideal venue for us with the 3 houses together. Very well equipped and a perfect place to relax. Lyndsay, the properly manager, was brilliant when we needed anything. Only negative is that the Dairy isn't equipped for making tea or coffee which made a leisurely cuppa in the morning difficult. We have thoroughly enjoyed the luxury of Lower Standen Farm.
We stayed here for New Years. Kim the owner was very welcoming on arrival and was very understanding of our requests. The place itself was fantastic. Beautifully big comfortable rooms and the place is in a great location. With some beautiful walks and pubs nearby. Could recommend the place more.
I booked this lovely hut for my boyfriends birthday/ valentines weekend. The booking process was simple and easy. I was offered a breakfast box for an additional cost - which I would highly recommend! I also arranged for a valentines hamper to be in the hut on arrival, which didn't disappoint! The scones were amazing! On arrival the lovely host, Kristina, I believe her name was welcomed us to their home/ farm. She gave us our key and left us to make our way over to the hut and settle in. The hut was lovely, clean and spacious- everything we needed for our weekend away. The hut was decorated wi...more
We had a faultless stay at North Vat for my birthday - even the weather was great (for early February). The booking process was easy and communications from Bloom Says were excellent. The house more than lived up to expectations. Its location right on the beach was lovely. I was looking for a chilled out birthday with my family and North Vat's zen like modernism and Dungeness' wonderful weirdness hit the mark perfectly. The wifi is slow but that was mostly a good thing although the kids found it a bit more frustrating (they were warned and brought books!). We really enjoyed peaceful strolls do...more
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dunes. The house and garden have been converted with real attention to detail that sets it apart from many other properties in Camber. It was very comfortable and had absolutely everything we as a family of 6 needed over our Christmas holiday. The open-plan space is great if you are looking to spend family time together.
We all had an amazing stay and couldn`t really fault anything. Just a slight issue with one of the doors but likely due to the weather. Location a bit tricky to get to due to snow and ice but once arrived views very spectacular. Really ideal for a large group as you have separate areas to go to so not on top of everyone. Looking to return next year during the summer so we can enjoy the outside
We loved Old Harrow the last time we stayed and this time was even better. A fabulous cooks kitchen and an extremely social space morning, noon and night. Fun facilities and the cinema screen / room is not just brilliant for watching movies (we watched Top Gun! it’s connected to aps including YouTube and our kids loved “the floor is lava” in the dark with the star lit ceiling with the entire wall sized screen central focus. We enjoyed our daily walks around the lanes in a 30 minute circuit and those of the group with dogs ventured just outside to the enclosed paddock to let their...more
Lovely weekend away. Was very lovely and clean and well kept. Beautiful grounds and just a great weekend
We had a great stay at The Landing. It was very comfortable and well equipped. Located right next to town and a short walk to the beach. We’d definitely stay again
We had a lovely time at the Watch Tower. It was a very last minute trip and both Bloom and the owners were very helpful and accommodating. The house is so peaceful with a great view from the bedroom of the lighthouses and power station - perfect for sunrise. We were a couple and the space was good, the only downside if you had more adults is that the bathroom is through one of the bedrooms, so you'd want to be good friends! Would definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful Christmas stay with the family, it was everything we hoped for and will treasure the memories made.
We enjoyed a perfect weekend at The Old Post Office for our annual Christmas “office party”. The customer care was over and above & the house certainly didn’t disappoint. We even had snow so we felt like we were in a fairytale! We had a lovely stroll up to The Dove for Christmas lunch which took only minutes and was delicious. The only downside to the freezing temperatures was that, unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub (we weren’t that brave) so that’ll have to wait until next time ;)
Brilliant little cabin with incredible views. Peaceful place & close to Sandgate cafes and Folkestone street food on the Harbour Arm. Great location to explore coast - Samphire Hoe and Dungeness, and pretty pastel houses in Deal. Cycle hire nearby and everywhere is flat paths and accessible along the coast path. Joanna was lovely and the perfect host. We’d love to visit again!
Not sure what the difference is from the question above. The TVs in all rooms were too big especially in the lounge and too high. It could have been put on a different wall with a swing out TV.
We had a lovely stay at Equus Barn. We were met by the owner and then left completely alone for the holiday but knowing where to go if we needed anything. The Barn itself was comfortable and very warm with everything we needed. There is a reasonable road to and from the Barn but the sat nav kept taking us down some very small lanes so beware and check your map! We visited lots of lovely places in Kent and the barn was a very good base. Would visit again.
A lovely stylish, contemporary and newly refurbished apartment. It was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. Location was great within walking distance of the beach and the shops/restaurants. On road parking available nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We were really happy with our stay at Cart Lodge. The lodge is beautiful with lovely decor and loads of character but all the modern amenities we could ask for. And the hosts were great, they checked in on us during the storm to make sure we were ok. We would happily recommend anyone to book here so wants a lovely escape to the country.
To arrive here, after a long drive from Switzerland was simply amazing, The kindness and attention to detail are remarkable. Thanks to Sal for taking wonderful care of us. We hope, one day, to be back! The B Family, Switzerland, July 2022
Recently stayed at The Homestead for my sisters hen weekend with some family and friends. The house was perfect for our murder mystery dinner evening with the large table seating 16 people and spacious kitchen. Beautiful grounds over looking fields and woodland. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Only a short 10-15 drive into the centre of Canterbury. Would definitely recommend and stay again with family.
We had the perfect stay at Finchcocks Oast, for a large Christmas dinner and weekend with friends. Spacious and clean with everything we could need for cooking for a large number of guests.
We loved visiting this cosy and charming flat. We enjoyed the location of the flat as well as the neighbouring towns. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable! Hope to visit again soon.
The Old Schooolroom is a comfortable, cosy place to stay. Full of character and great memorabilia, it is fun to go through the old books and annuals on the shelves. Well equipped, nicely decorated and warm, you feel at home very quickly. The owners live next door and are friendly, welcoming and very helpful if you need assistance. Highly recommended.
Had a fantastic few days at this beautiful accommodation. The amazing weather helped, which meant that we could enjoy having breakfast on the balcony in the morning and drinks as the sun was setting. The accommodation was spotless and beds and furnishings very comfortable. Joanna was a very helpful hostess. Highly recommend.
Beautiful accommodation with stunning views from lounge and 3 of the bedrooms. Very clean and owner very welcoming. A couple of niggles, there was not enough comfy seating in the lounge for the 6 of us, and the showers were not powerful enough and hard to get a good temperature either scalding or freezing which meant we mainly used the bathroom on the first floor. But would not hesitate to return.
Thank you for a lovely stay! The view was very special with the sun rising/setting over the fields. The sheep were in the same field and around us lots of the time which was lovely. We had a nice walk around the field, The shepherds hut was very special, clean and beautiful. We cooked breakfast in the morning on the hob. We had wood for the fire pit and it was nice and warm in the shepherds hut. Thank you for a very special stay Kristina and for letting us stay a little longer!
We had a wonderful stay at Honeywood Lodge with our young family. Everything was accommodated for and my children loved the use of the fantastic private indoor pool. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which allowed us to enjoy the large garden to its full extent. A great property that we have already recommended and cannot wait to book our next stay!
Thanks for a lovely accomodation! We Have spent a fantastic stay. Everything was better than we thought.
The house is very conveniently located and gives excellent access to both central Canterbury and the riverside footpath leading out of the city. The house is well maintained and very easy to stay in, but the furnishings (sofas, chairs and table) and decor could do with updating. It was very clean on arrival.
Darling cottage, everything there for our comfort. I would recommend to others. I do not wish to submit one hundred words!
Just a lovely stay in a comfortable and welcoming cottage. Oh and sorry I did not put the dishwasher on just before we left my fault apologise.
We spent a week at beautiful Hill House Farm, a lovingly renovated and well maintained home with plenty of original features. The weather was excellent so we got to enjoy the expansive garden and al fresco dining area with BBQ. The setting is just idyllic, and yet it’s 20-40 minutes drive away from various cities/towns/beaches to visit… a really good base to explore all the corners of Kent.
The Figgy is a lovely little cottage situated in the grounds of a beautiful estate. The place has everything you could need for your stay (we especially loved the bath!), and would be ideal for anyone visiting anywhere in Kent. The information booklet provided was very helpful, and the staff at Bloom Stays were delightful and always happy to help. We would absolutely recommend this place, and intend to be back ourselves soon!
Celebrating an early Thanksgiving, we wanted a house where our friends could come together, hang out, eat well and make the best of the Kent countryside. At Lower Standen Farmhouse we were all to do and enjoy all of these things. The house has been beautifully restored with the prize going to the wonderful kitchen/dining room. Surrounded by glass overlooking the lush garden, the views and colours are an ever-changing joy with the underfloor heating meaning that we spent most of our time here. No lonely feelings for our chef ..... she probably had more help this year than ever before! Bedrooms ...more
The Buoys is a pleasant 3 bedroom small house / converted bungalow right on the Coast Road between Dungeness and New Romney. The road is right in front of the house - so you always have the noise of cars - but beyond that is the pebbly beach which is peaceful even in the school holidays and when the tide goes out is full of different sea birds. The back garden is pebbly too and gives lovely sunsets and has the miniature railway going along the back fence. Slightly wobbly paving stones on the patio that you need to watch out for and we couldn't work out how to lock the front door from outside s...more
A lot of thought put into the prep of the hut. Lots of little things, bread, milk, butter & bottle of wine ready waiting to name a few of the little thoughtful touches. Communication ahead of arrival was very good also.
We had a group stay for thanksgiving in November 2022. A lovely house that comfortably slept out group of 18. The house is well stoked, great big table which fit everybody and a lovely location and view from the house. One complaint from the group was the pet fee, at £30 per pet per week whether you stay 3 days or 7 days seemed a little steep, but that is the only complaint from an otherwise lovely weekend.
Fantastic stay. Beautiful views, amazing house and great facilities. Something for everyone from 5 to 80 years of age!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunray. Excellent quality bedding and very comfortable beds. Great selection of games. Lovely kitchen and easy to use oven. No dishwasher was the only downside. Plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend.
This was our second visit to the barn, 12 years after our first and it once again exceeded our expectations. A wonderful idyllic barn set in an ideal location. It was well presented with great facilities. Thank you for making another milestone birthday party with all our family possible!
Plumcott was not suitable for me due to being disabled. That was my fault and no reflection on Plumcott. Host’s were brilliant.
My only complaint was having to unload everything for 8 people on double yellow lines. Beautiful property, very well equipped. Very clean and tidy.
What a gorgeous cottage, well appointed and so comfortable. Best sleep I have had in years. The number of birds chirping away was gorgeous. I even saw a barn owl one night. Helen the owner is really lovely and truly cares about ensuring your stay is the best it can be.
Driftwood Cottage was wonderful. The owner Louise was very helpful when called with a question. The cottage was furnished very tastefully and so comfortable and contained everything we required. The views from the cottage were amazing and were the icing on the cake.
I booked Bonnington Cottage knowing it was old and full of character and it didn't disappoint. The cottage was comfortable with an excellent log burner and the central heating was efficient, both needed in February. On arrival we both thought the fruit bowl was plastic! But it was all fresh fruit; 3 types of grapes, oranges, apples, pears, bananas and even a full pineapple. The location is ideal for touring both the coast and inland of Kent and we'd recommend Canterbury, Walmer Castle and Whitstable and Broadstairs and Dover Castle. Goodneston Gardens worth a visit and all the walks around ...more
This lovely characterful house and grounds were just perfect for us - a group of old friends celebrating 70th birthdays - playing snooker, croquet & boules on the lawns, sundowners by the fire pit with gorgeous views and bbqs and dinners all seated round the outside table or at the big wooden table in the bright kitchen/conservatory. We were blessed with sunny days so it was a shame the pool was out of use but maybe another time... The rooms were tastefully furnished and had interesting decorative paintings and objects. Kitchen appliances & equipment were generally good and the welcome basket...more
Lovely accommodation, really comfy furniture, lovely decor and a great position. Bathroom we found to be a bit chilly, and lighting difficult to know what switches to use. Other than that truly lovely with a great open fire
Customs House was an excellent venue for our very large family of 20 - aged from 5 upwards. There were spaces for us all to chill out and plenty room to eat around the large dinner tables. The setting of Customs House is just magical for an outgoing and sociable group - in addition to the creek with boats and a boatyard nearby there are cafes, quirky shops and a great pizza bar with tables outside and serving excellent pizzas which we all enjoyed. We stayed over October half term and were so lucky with the mild and sunny weather but it would be great there in the spring and summer to...more
Cold Bathroom only a small towel rail no radiator or underfloor heating FREEZING Black mould on all the windows frames.
A restored oasthouse with modern facilities - very roomy and very well-equipped. A great location near the many local attractions and a great base for walking and other outdoor activities.
When looking at the pictures, this stay looks very nice. It has been decorated very well, the bed is really terrific and the view from the kitchen of the birds feeding is lovely. But the hut has been designed very strangely. The shower and toilet are extremely small, with the sink so tiny as to be almost unusable. There is a dangerous step from the bedroom into the kitchen and no light switch at the door to see it. The main picture window overlooks the main house car park so pretty boring and no privacy. The house is generally quite dark. The hot-tub is a 'lounger' style so is difficult to get...more
Great to explore Dungeness from . A perfect building in every sense of the word. Architectural ,Design and History . And what a wonderful place Dungeness is. Quietness Calmness Peacefulness.
The nicest, most stylish and elegant holiday flat we’ve ever rented! Comfortable, spotless, big, immaculate, and provided with every sort of modern comfs., in the very centre of a spectacular ancient town. However, what made the Loft incredibly great for us was that special feeling we had from the very moment we entered it, which accompanied us throughout our entire stay; the feeling of being at home and a strong wish to remain there for good! Thank you Bloom Stay, you’ve made us discover a hidden gem in Canterbury and allowed us to have the greatest holidays ever.
A wonderful little pretty cottage in the middle of nature. So peaceful and quiet. We will come back!
We struggle to find cottages with secure outside space where our dog can't see traffic, people or livestock just over the fence. The Kennels is ideal with the walled garden. Location for us was perfect as we used to live locally and were visiting family and friends. I'd love to be able to see out the living room windows but it's a trade off. It's a great area for walks and Faversham has wonderful ancient pubs. A blind and some non stick pans would have improved things further.
We had a fantastic stay at the Pump Station. The house is beautifully designed, clean, comfortable and warm. We loved the open plan living and the fireplace. We visited in the middle of January so the weather was wild and windy, which we loved. It was so atmospheric being in the house with the wind whistling outside but us warm and cosy inside. The location is excellent - 20 minutes walk to the Pilot Inn, 10 minutes from Derek Jarman’s garden, 5 minutes to the fresh fish shack. We walked to the power station and experienced landscapes never seen before - the wild sea whipping up waves and fo...more
We stayed at Cavallo Barn from 25/02 to 17/03 We enjoyed the location, the quite and the kindness of the owners, always there to help. The apartment offered all the amenities advertised and all was in good working order. We would love to have the opportunity to go back one day. S & L Budroni
El Ray is stunning to look at and the location is breathtaking. The facilities inside as great and the two bedrooms made our stay very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and the fire made the lounge area lovely and warm in the evenings. The only downside to El Ray is the parking. I do think they need to invest in the infrastructure for the parking for guests especially as you can only reverse out to get back onto the main road. We did not feel confident that our vehicle could reverse out of the space allocated with the shingle driveway. A neighbour also advised me that serval other ...more
Myself and my partner stayed here for a night, it was lovely the place was spotless, the hosts where lovely and so helpful. It has fantastic views and the bed is very comfortable! I’d say the only thing is I’d preferred if there were a few more solar lights outside because it’s very difficult to see and navigate your way round at night, even with a torch! We will definitely be staying here again
The property was very clean and extremely comfortable. All the appliances are top of the range. The games room is an added bonus which compliments the house nicely. The area around is nice and quiet which helps the holiday feeling. We would Highley recommend this cottage for a quality family holiday.
We enjoyed our time at plumpudding cottage. We loved the place. A very good platform to explore Kent and the Southeast of England.
We had a lovely stay at Chesnuts. we had a small problem with the fridge not working when we arrived but the owners live accross from the house and helped us. The garden was great for the kids, had a hose so perfect for a paddling pool. All rooms were well equipped
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely old cottage. It was well equip and comfortable. The only problem was that the information told you to leave the dustbins by the road for collection, but didn't say which day the collection came..therefore both bins were full.
An interesting property in a unique location, warm and comfortable in spite of cold and stormy weather, and a good size for 2. There were a few issues that needed attention - leaking roof, lights not working, and several of the outside doors sticking. There was an excellent positive response to us pointing the issues out - but not all of them were fixable while we were there, so I'd suggest the property really needs a full check and refurb before letting. It is an expensive property, so it seems reasonable to expect it to be in excellent condition. The 2 baths seemed a rather strange arran...more
Lovely old cottage charm in a very quiet village. Perfect for that hideaway holiday, but you’ll definitely need a car to get around, buy supplies, visit pubs etc.
Keepers Cottage is a delightful place to stay. Although this is a three bedroom property it feels so spacious. The Orangery is amazing, comfy furniture that allows you to relax and view the large contained garden and the views over the countryside. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The location of the property was great, a feeling of being in the countryside but not having to drive far to be in Canterbury. So happy to have stayed at Keepers, felt special.
Thi sis a well thought out and lovely place to stay- except they seem to have sctimped on the bed. Most people rent a place like this to sleep in. The bed was very poor.... uncomfortable to say the least. Also the pillows were also pretty poor and had a smell to them. If these things were sorted out I would rank it very highly..... but if you value a good night's sleep I'd suggest you look elsewhere.
We stayed over Christmas in what is a wonderfully unique period property in Kent. The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas before our arrival, and really felt like a home away from home. Check in/out was also extremely easy. The cottage is very well equipped throughout (we cooked a 5 person Christmas dinner with ease!) although would benefit from having an icebox indoors rather than via the freezer in the shed. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again.
The house is located near the main point of interest of the city. The mattress are too soft, I couldn’t sleep cause there’s too much light entering from the windows. Only one key of the apartment is provided.
This is a house like no other. I can't think of anywhere else where you could stay so close to the sea and in such a remote location. The house has been converted to a high standard. We were a family of 4 and so although fairly impractical for us (we knew this before coming), we had a great time and would recommend.
