This place has everything you need. The minute you arrive you feel at home. Such fantastic hosts, warm comfortable rooms, the kitchen has literally everything you need. Incredible!
So much to do at the cottages and local area. Debbie and Paul are wonderful hosts. The addition of the pub is great - good place to meet others staying at the cottages and share ideas for places to visit.
Have stayed previously as ideal place to visit with dogs - in our case with 2 bonkers cocker spaniels. Cottage (we stayed in Wray) is to an incredible high standard and we like the stairgate fitted at the top of the stairs to deter dogs from going upstairs. Also enclosed patio area attached to cottage outside of French door with garden furniture and parasol. Complimentary home baked coconut cake upon arrival and pint of local milk in the fridge along with bags of animal food for the llamas, pigs and goats also on site. We recently spent a long weekend at Compton Pool Farm, booking both the Farmhouse and The Rookery for a family and friends' getaway. It was the perfect setting to bring everyone together. The location is easy to reach, whether travelling by car or train, with Newton Abbot station only around 15 minutes away. The accommodation worked brilliantly for our group. Although we stayed in two cottages, the Farmhouse was large enough for everyone to enjoy meals and evenings together. This is our second stay at Compton pool, purely because it has everything!! And Debbie, Paul and Dexter are fantastic! Farm animals, games room, outdoor play area, 5 a side football pitch, tennis court and indoor swimming pool, all on your door step!! Absolutely brilliant!! We weighed up staying here vs a holiday park, the conversation didn't last long before we booked Compton pool. Thank you to Debbie, Paul and Dexter for such an amazing time away. We will definitely be coming back!!
This was our 5th visit but 1st time in Arch. Lovely, spacious cottage and amazing place. So relaxing.
Our fourth visit to Compton Pool - staying in a different cottage - Ambrook Cottage is spacious and ideal for a large family. Three generations all enjoyed the facilities on offer at the farm as well as the local attractions.
