We booked Westhope Country Retreats as a base to explore Shropshire and Herefordshire, and it’s perfectly located for that. The Old Cowshed is a lovely barn conversion, perfect for us as a family with tween kids and with all the amenities we could need. Chloe and her team were really helpful and responsive, and the cottage was beautifully clean with everything provided when we arrived, even down to a lovely home-made cake. I would highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay in Shropshire.
A very good property: spacious, comfortable and generally well equipped. Two small points. The tin opener is useless and the large knife has a loose handle. Very good location surrounded by open countryside with many walks and easy access to interesting places to visit. Such as Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Ludlow and Stokesay.
Kitchen floor and wooden floors hadn’t been cleaned. We had a 8 month old baby staying with us his clothes got very dirty from floors.
As a family of 5 we really enjoyed our recent visit to the Turnip House. The cottage was fantastic and had a great shared gym and games room thstvtje kids made use of. The hot tub was a welcoming place in the evening and was well managed by the site team over our stay. Loved the little touches ..... bottle of wine, lemon drizzle cake, jug of milk, bar of chocolate. Also provided plenty of local information and we really enjoyed the Swan Inn for an evening meal. We travelled to Shrewsbury and ate at the Dough & Oil. Really good ambience lovely sourdough pizza. We will be back in the future. One...more
Beautiful house with great garden, little bit difficult to get to but definitely worth it. Good for a quiet getaway to relax and spend time with friends and family.
We had a fantastic week at The Wain House, warm and comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering the site was full. Accessible to the local area and lovely walks from the front door. Well equipped house and lovely hot tub.
