As before, a friendly welcome and we had a great four nights. It's an ideal place from which to explore the beautiful local south Shropshire countryside on foot and by bike. There is a safe place for the bikes and care taken to provide boot scrapers and a tidy place to store them. Being there in the Spring was very refreshing; we were so lucky that local pubs were opening up too. We have just spend a wonderful mid week break at Westhope renting both the Milking Parlour and Troopers Barn. The photos don't do the place justice and both properties were beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The setting is beautiful and quiet and the dogs loved all the amazing walks nearby and the kids enjoyed the games room and of course the hot tub! Marianne was extremely friendly and very helpful with lots of local knowledge. It is a fantastic set up for a group of families or friends who would like to be near each but have their own place. We had a lovely stay at this cottage/barn conversion the accommodation was beautiful and had everything we needed! The wine, lemon cake and chocolate left by the host was a lovely touch! The Christmas tree was also a lovely surprise! I would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely return! :-)
We have been to The Wain House twice before, last years visit was cancelled so this year was so much more enjoyable. We will be back again. Not just the cottage but the lovely peaceful countryside nearby as well as easy access to The Long Mynd for stunning scenery and great walk. Also, the local town of Ludlow is wonderful.
My family enjoyed a real getaway in the Old Farm House. The property was ideal and we enjoyed dining by a roaring fire on the chilly evenings. A perfect place for families to congregate or for groups of explorers / walkers / cyclists for the stunning surroundings.
