The accommodation is visually attractive, comfortable, and clean. The sheep , the scenery and the house martins contribute to a delightful atmosphere. Overall we enjoyed our stay. However some concerns did take the edge off things: (a) hot tub switched itself on & woke us up @ night & there were no instructions how to stop it; (b) no instruction how to use the dishwasher; (c) the video emailed before our stay featured a site 'phone, but this has been removed, and mobile 'fone signal was poor or non-existent, so there is no way to get help in an emergency; (d) inadequate sound-proofing twixt...more
Fantastic location, spacious and comfortable I would thoroughly recommend this property. We really enjoyed our stay.
We booked the Milking Parlour, Turnip House and Wain House for a group of 20 of us for our annual walking weekend. The cottages were all fabulous- the best we’ve ever had. They were very clean, spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated. There was space for all 20 of us to eat all together- inside and outside. The hot tubs were a huge success after our daily walks straight from the cottages. It was a lovely place to enjoy time with friends or family Had everything we needed and more Would happily stay there again
Wonderful well appointed house in lovely rural setting, perfect for a celebration weekend. Very comfortable and clean. Great hot tub, games room and gym. Plenty of day to day crockery and glass but could do with a few more serving dishes, boards and plates. Would also benefit from a couple more large pans if you are a large group of 10/12.
1st family holiday with 4 week grandchild and 2 dogs Suited us perfectly as bedroom downstairs. Baby and family upstairs so we didn,t here him in the night. BONUS The house was lovely in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room for us all a proper home from home. Gym a big hit with son and Games room a good idea and used regularly. It was lovely to sit in the hot tub in the evening and see the sheep in the fields. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Certainly a relaxing place. The only thing is a very narrow road to get there, BUT worth it for the peace and quiet.
