Just returned from a cosy November break in Garden Cottage. Thw weather was not the best, but the cottage was warm realy comfortable welcoming and had everything we needed. A real home from home.
We (me, my wife and grandson) had a nice stay in the Hayloft. Verry friendly welcome, nice cottage, wonderfull fireplace and beautiful surroundings. We hope to come back some day!
The Owl House is a lovely location for a break to get away from it all. It's a lovely well presented barn conversion with everything you need to make for a comfortable stay with the added bonus of being able to watch the resident barn owls. The hosts John Angela and James are very friendly and accommodating. Their cottages at High Barn are to the same high standard as their other ones at Field House Farm. A return is definitely on the cards.
We have stayed three times now at High Barn, this time we were in The Cake House. Such a relaxing stay, weather wasn’t as good as earlier in the year but when you have the quality of the accommodation it really doesn’t matter. Watching the sunset over the fields from your bedroom or lounge can’t be beaten. Already planning next year at High Barn.
My husband and I just spent 8 nights at The Spinney and it was a wonderful place to stay. My husband has MS so we needed somewhere on one level and this was perfect. The furnishings and interior design are beautiful. It was lovely and warm with underfloor heating and there were 2 outside seating areas. We are both birdwatchers so this was an ideal location for us to visit Bempton RSPB Reserve and Flamborough South Landings. The family members and staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We also liked that dogs are not allowed at this property.
We returned to this apartment after nine years and it was just as good as before. It’s so clean and well appointed and is perfect for self catering, although there’s no shortage of great places to eat very close by. Certainly the most comfortable beds we’ve had in any holiday accommodation and we appreciated the welcome pack of mainly local goodies. The location gives easy access to all the city has to offer and is so close to the Minster. Having on site parking is also a real bonus although this time we came by train and it’s less than twenty minutes walk to the station. Would highly recom...more
We have stayed in Hinds Cottage numerous times over the past two decades, and consider it to be our home from home when staying there. The cottage is very spacious and is equipped and maintained to a very high standard throughout. The location is perfect as all the Field House properties are set in the peaceful surroundings of the countryside yet only a few minutes drive from the North beach at Bridlington, so you have the best of both worlds. Thank you once again to Angela, John,James and the team for welcoming us to Hinds. We look forward to returning next year.
The Brew house is perfectly situated for a stay in York with the advantage of gated parking which for us is a big plus. A lovely welcome hamper on arrival and spotlessly clean throughout Unfortunately the weather was quite cold this time and the entire building was extremely cold and never got above17.5 degrees, quite uncomfortable when sitting in the lounge area, other than that we had a good stay and caught up with family members
A pleasant stay. Grandkids love staying here ask us to come back every year.we love staying at heritage escapes. Weather good for time of year didn’t stop us going out.kids loved Whitby and scarbrough fair.John Angela James Fiona are always very welcoming and friendly nothing to much trouble for them. We will be back next year already looking forward to it.

Always nice to come back to Field House Farm. The Roost is very comfortably with everything that you need just like being at home. We always get a warm welcome from John,Angela and James and would recommened the cottages to everyone. We are looking forward to returning again next year. The Malt House is an excellent apartment, minutes from the Minster and all the attractions of York. Very good quality self catering accommodation. Always spotlessly clean on arrival, nice welcome hamper.
We don't usually stay anywhere with more than one cottage, but we gave it a go and were really happy with this choice... The location is really quiet, the barn was perfect with everything that we could need. There are lots of places to visit in the area so no chance to get bored.
It was lovely to come back to FHF, in the past we have stayed initially in the Old Dairy then for some years at The Turnip House. It was our first time in The Byre but it did not disappoint. The cottage had everything you would expect and was home from home. The location is great, although it is a working farm it feels quiet and tranquil and John, Angela and James are very welcoming. It is a good base to visit with lots of attractions within easy reach. We will definitely be booking again, the sooner the better.
This is our 4th stay in the Old Dairy. We did consider looking elsewhere but as we really love the layout and the log burner we decided to pay another visit. The accommodation is excellent with everything you need. We continue to find different places to visit in the area and really loved the walk along the coast near the Flamborough North Landing and the Lighthouse.
