Garden Cottage was a real gem; I couldn't fault it at all. Everything was perfect, the cottage was well equipped, the standard of decor and furnishing was very high, the heating worked very efficiently and everything was spotlessly clean. A very generous hamper of goodies was waiting for us when we arrived and in the fridge. Not the usual fancy snacks that you sometimes find with welcome hampers, but useful goods like bread, butter, tea and coffee, milk, home made apple juice, to name but a few. There were also plentiful dishwasher tabs, hand soap, toilet rolls, etc., such that you really d...more
This was our second visit to the Hayloft, it has everything you need, it’s beautifully furnished and clean, there’s a fabulous welcome pack and the setting is perfect. There’s so much wildlife on your doorstep, we loved watching the deer and birds, and it’s only a 5 minute drive to the coast where we saw seals, dolphins and puffins. We’ll definitely be back! The cottage is very comfortable, a home away from home. Very well equipped with a nice touch of homeliness with the artwork. Very peaceful and easy to get to from Bempton station. A great break to rejuvenate the senses.
The Cake House provides a wonderful view across the fields to sight various birds, hares and the beautiful big skies. Lovely comfortable accommodation with a well equipped kitchen an generous welcome pack (including locally produced muesli, apple juice and chocolates). Just a few minutes by car to Flamborough Head for the cliff top walks, quarter of an hour to Filey, ten minutes to Bridlington. Walk from the door to Bempton cliffs and the RSPB centre. As you can probably deduce, we really enjoyed staying here! It's a great location, very peaceful but close to a variety of attractions. Defi...more
The Brew House is a comfortable, very clean and well equipped apartment with easy access by lift to the first floor, and with the added advantage of a parking space. Although the apartment is in the centre of York the location is quiet and peaceful and in close proximity to all local attractions. A great place to stay and highly recommended.
We love this location and the accomodation is really great. The welcome basket of goodies is fabulous and the new app is very useful and works well. We will be back. Perhaps a tiny touch up with the paintbrush in a few places where things are a little scuffed.
This time to this venue, as usual high standard of accommodation and Christmas decorations and touches very nice. Cottage lovely and warm when we arrived.
Difficult to imagine a better situated flat, so convenient for York’s historic sites, excellent restaurants, glorious walks around the city walls and streets so full of character and interest. On-site parking is a real bonus. We would not hesitate to recommend this beautifully and tastefully appointed flat.
Lovely stay. Grand children loved the stay, loved the separate bedrooms, grand son loved the upstairs bedroom, granddaughter loved the other room. spacious cottage, lovely and comfortable everything there we needed. lots of space for us all. John and Angela, James there if needed. Grand children didn’t want to come home.
Had a wonderful long weekend at this cottage. Was very comfortable, clean and a great base for exploring the Yorkshire coastline. We’d definitely return — and for longer next time.
This apartment was very nice and in a perfect location for a trip to York. We would be happy to return.
Absolutely love it here, so peaceful and calm. The cottage was warm and cosy having everything we needed for our January break.
Yet another visit to these lovely cottages. First time in Turnip cottage which was excellent. Won’t be my last stay, it was very spacious and very comfortable. As always I feel very welcome and safe.
We had an enjoyable and generally comfortable week's stay at the Granary, which is in a delightful area within easy and relatively quick access to many interesting places, such as RSPB Bempton Cliffs and the Flamborough Light House with it's beach and cliff walks. The accommodation has been very well planned and executed, with good quality furniture, kitchen, and bathroom fittings. There are, however, two areas letting down the overall effect, the curtains, and the lack of ventilation in the sitting room. The curtains need to be re-gathered and taken up, with some lubrication applied to the...more
Arriving in the wake of Storm Babet, the Old Dairy was an oasis of calm and comfort to recharge our batteries after a stressful year. Having stayed there some five years ago, we were aware of the high standards provided by John and Angela and even significantly upgraded since then . Despite the weather, we had a relaxing fortnight there visiting some of our favourite places in a location we always return to and enjoy. It will always remain on our holiday agenda! Thanks again!
