Best adapted place we've ever stayed in after25 years with wheelchair! A few suggestions: Lighting at kitchen sink is poor need under cupboard lights. A TV upstairs would be nice. TV in downstairs bedroom cupboard odd but presumably for the bedridden? A to do before leaving list would be helpful, we were hunting back thru folders! And still missed the windows.
This is our 2nd visit to Homelands. We returned as the accommodation is of an excellent quality and has lots of equipment to make the stay as easy as possible.
We enjoyed the spacious, clean accommodation which reflected what was on the website. It was a good base for exploring the local area.
We stayed in Lundin Lodge during the second week of August '24. On arriving, we noted that the lodge was sparkling clean and very much appreciated the fresh milk, tea, coffee, cake and some cleaning materials. We find it very difficult to find holiday accommodation that can cater for our profoundly disabled twins, who are both full time wheelchair users and who both need hoisting, profiling beds, etc, so to be able to have two separate rooms with hoists and profiling beds was a huge bonus. There was plenty of space to manoeuvre around the lodge, we loved being able to have the doors to the d...more
Excellent equipped disabled holiday makers self catering lodges catering to all needs, abilities and conditions. Very clean, bright, spacious lodges with outdoor seating and gardens and views of the sea in older lodges. Parking for blue badge holder and visitor including electric charging. Located central to all Fife attractions, near pubs, shops and wider facilities. Loved the garden, sea and links views and surrounding area.
I be back again! The design and faculties at the lodge are really a home from home. I enjoyed my holiday as I didn’t have to worry about anything. I had to raise the dining table legs in order to get my legs under in my wheelchair. We propped on some books. The downstairs room with the disabled equipment was very comfortable- I would have liked an area for doing my makeup and hair though. Those are very minor points though!
Had a great time, the property had a good amount off items to support the disabled visitor, walk in wet room, profile bed, all on the ground floor total flat from car to inside to the patio. All properties have EV chargers on the outside as well another EV point near the office. I had to arrange a carer & nurses to visit while I was there which was no problem. Only think is the garden at the property is total open so pets have to be kept on lead. I think that I’ll be back some time.
Everything was perfect including the weather, we will definitely return, and hopefully it will be as good next time.
Absolutely beautiful setting and gorgeous property .The best accommodation we have found for people who have a disability .All equipment provided ,eg profile bed and ceiling hoists as well as much more .we will definitely go again .
