Set in 22 acres in South East Cornwall, Kernock Cottages has five luxury 5* Gold cottages sleeping 2, 4, 6 and 8. Peaceful and tranquil, but only 6 miles from Plymouth, 9 miles from the beach and 15 miles from both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Dogs and children very welcome.
We’ve never stayed anywhere quite like Kernock. It’s perfection tucked away down a beautiful driveway. Cottage was really well equipped with everything you might possibly need and more.
Highlights - hot tub with amazing views, most comfortable bed I’ve possibly ever slept in, great quality gas barbecue that we cooked most meals on, extremely clean (and I am a clean freak), very dog friendly and not forgetting very welcoming and super helpful hosts. Great local pub within walking distance, great welcome pack and growing herbs in pots to add a bit of flavour to our food (or drink?!)

The wonderful accomodation and outstanding location for Kernock Cottages allowed us to add to memorable family gatherings. Everyone across the various age ranges were comfortable and appreciated all the care and attention from Louise and Damien. The local knowledge ensured we enjoyed the area and the fantastically equipped kitchens meant that catering for our large group was a joy. We are already recommending the experience to many friends and are looking forward to returning ourselves.
Our stay at Kernock Cottages was nothing short of magical. At first we were a little unsure because there were no reviews on Trustpilot which made us hesitate but we decided to trust our instincts and we are so glad we did. From the moment we arrived it was clear why so many guests have left glowing reviews elsewhere. This place is a hidden gem.
We stayed in The Tree Barn, a beautiful cottage set among rolling hills and acres of peaceful countryside. The setting is breathtaking with sweeping valley views that change with the light and sunsets that stop you in your tracks. Each morning we en...more
This is our second stay at Kernock and I am pleased to say that as ever everything is consistently brilliant.
This time we stayed in the coach house that is beautifully decorated with adequate room, tasteful furniture and a fantastically equipped kitchen that really is a home away from home.
Being greeted on arrival shown the lay of the land how everything works and the local attractions and eateries really welcomes you and gives you a good starting point to plan your holiday alongside the day one hamper and dog toys and sweets really take the stress out of that first day.

The contact with the owners was amazing right from the initial contact through to departure and follow up email after.
Many places accept dogs - but here dogs are welcomed and made to feel as part of the family!
The welcome food pack was really lovely and the cottage was so very well equipped.
We found this cottage through recommendation and we will certainly be recommending it to other family and friends.
10/10 - no faults to report!
More like stay at a friend's house than a holiday rental, and I mean that in a good way. From the well-kept fixtures and fittings to the interesting art on the walls to the cosy beds and comfy best towels this was like staying at a well-healed mate's house.
Being met on arrival was a nice touch along with the welcome pack.
Lots of disability equipment (I'm a wheelchair user) was excellent along with accessibility pen-portraits of many local venues made life easy.
This quiet very rural location was a delight with the only noise at nighttime the occasional hoot of an owl.
