Set in 22 acres in South East Cornwall, Kernock Cottages has five luxury 5* Gold cottages sleeping 2, 4, 6 and 8. Peaceful and tranquil, but only 6 miles from Plymouth, 9 miles from the beach and 15 miles from both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Dogs and children very welcome.
Whatever words I write won’t do justice to this place. The comfortable cottages, the views, the hot tubs and the attention to detail was amazing. Damian and Louise welcomed us on our arrival and we were shown around. Damian gave us detailed information regarding what was available to us during our stay. The cottage’s had Christmas trees in the living areas, our dogs had gifts and even the washing up sponge was in the shape of a snowman. Everything was covered to make our stay very special and memorable. Thank you both for making us all feel so welcome.
Really wonderful short break. The dogs love the place, Central Bark is just heaven! It is so lovely to be somewhere where dogs are welcomed, not just tolerated. We stayed in Little Owl, which was perfect for the two of us & the two dogs.
This was our second visit to Kernock cottages and our memories were rekindled in spades! These cottages are truly dog friendly with secure gardens and 6 acres of fenced fields and woodlands for inquisitive dogs like ours to explore. Damian and Louise are fantastic hosts with many helpful tips and recommendations for walks, beaches, pubs etc. They are always on hand to answer a query but never intrusive. The cottages ( we’ve stayed in 2 different ones) are cosy, clean and well equipped with welcome gifts for your canine companions and a well stocked welcome pack for you.The views from the hot t...more
Our second visit to Kernock was just as enjoyable as the first. The Coach House was cosy and comfortable even in storm Darragh! Damian and Louise incredible hosts and so considerate. We enjoyed a sunny afternoon dip in the hot tub watching the sunset and totally private. Our springer spaniel loved Central Bark for a run and very safe. A must for a luxury break with or without a dog, as well placed for outdoor activities and places to visit, yet set in a peaceful and beautiful countryside setting.
From the fantastic communication whilst booking, the relevant information provided during our stay and the flexibility offered, all pointed to a magnificent stay provided by two lovely people Damian and Louise. They were perfect hosts nothing was too much trouble, and we did give them a number of challenges, which, in answer, they came up trumps every time.
The whole surrounding was beautiful the barn we stayed in (Heather) was just perfect with everything provided for us to have a very enjoyable stay.
We will return (if they will have us!!) and would highly recommend this magical plac...more
We had a lovely weeks holiday over New Year along with friends and our Golden Retriever, Sam. Amazing peaceful location and the cottage so well equipped and in beautiful condition. The welcome hamper not only for us but also goodies for Sam too was amazing plus initial supplies of basics - nothing not thought about.
Central Bark was perfect to give Sam a good bit of exercise and lots of lovely sniffing around. The hot tub providing relaxation and fun times for the adults.
