Set in 22 acres in South East Cornwall, Kernock Cottages has five luxury 5* Gold cottages sleeping 2, 4, 6 and 8. Peaceful and tranquil, but only 6 miles from Plymouth, 9 miles from the beach and 15 miles from both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Dogs and children very welcome.
We’ve never stayed anywhere quite like Kernock. It’s perfection tucked away down a beautiful driveway. Cottage was really well equipped with everything you might possibly need and more.
Highlights - hot tub with amazing views, most comfortable bed I’ve possibly ever slept in, great quality gas barbecue that we cooked most meals on, extremely clean (and I am a clean freak), very dog friendly and not forgetting very welcoming and super helpful hosts. Great local pub within walking distance, great welcome pack and growing herbs in pots to add a bit of flavour to our food (or drink?!)

The wonderful accomodation and outstanding location for Kernock Cottages allowed us to add to memorable family gatherings. Everyone across the various age ranges were comfortable and appreciated all the care and attention from Louise and Damien. The local knowledge ensured we enjoyed the area and the fantastically equipped kitchens meant that catering for our large group was a joy. We are already recommending the experience to many friends and are looking forward to returning ourselves.
Beautiful location, well kept and comfortable cottage. Extremely dog friendly. Very commited and attentive owners who put themselves out to help. Welcome pack was a lovely touch. We were given lots of information on local activities and amenities. The owners really have thought of everything.
We and our dog had a very pleasant & peaceful stay in the Coach House, surrounded by lovely Cornish countryside.
Onsite dog walking areas were good with amazing metal sculptures to look at as well as the lovely views.
Nice complementary goodie bag for us and for the dog as well
We had a lovely stay at Heather Barn to celebrate my birthday. From the time we booked our visit, Damian kept us informed every step of the way through to a warm welcome, explaining how everything worked. They had thought of every detail, from the exceptional welcome pack for both humans and dog, which was a lovely touch, through to a lovely gift bag containing a cream team, to celebrate National Cream Tea Day - the strawberry conserve in particular was very yummy - a great find Louise! The cottage was wonderful - although designed for those with access issues, it was beautifully designed for ...more
We stayed in one of the cottages for two weeks with our 8 month old baby, dog and two sets of grandparents. The cottages have everything you could wish for and the extras that were provided for our daughter (e.g. cot, bath towel, hand blender etc) made our visit completely stress free and enabled us to pack much lighter! The welcome breakfast pack was so thoughtful and a welcome pack was also provided for our dog - she adored the treats and toy! Having stair gates and an enclosed garden made the cottage safe for our dog and baby, which really made our visit that bit more relaxing. Our highligh...more
