Set in 22 acres in South East Cornwall, Kernock Cottages has five luxury 5* Gold cottages sleeping 2, 4, 6 and 8. Peaceful and tranquil, but only 6 miles from Plymouth, 9 miles from the beach and 15 miles from both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Dogs and children very welcome.
Whatever words I write won’t do justice to this place. The comfortable cottages, the views, the hot tubs and the attention to detail was amazing. Damian and Louise welcomed us on our arrival and we were shown around. Damian gave us detailed information regarding what was available to us during our stay. The cottage’s had Christmas trees in the living areas, our dogs had gifts and even the washing up sponge was in the shape of a snowman. Everything was covered to make our stay very special and memorable. Thank you both for making us all feel so welcome.
Stunning grounds and the views from our beautiful barn were just perfect. Everywhere at Kernock was dog-friendly and very well thought through. No stress just pure relaxing and enjoyment for all of us. I don’t think the dog wanted to leave either!!
Staying at Kernock Cottages is also a great base to visit other parts of Cornwall, and next time we’ll be staying for longer!
Returning to this lovely Cornish cottage was just as delightful as our first stay. Damian and Louise are wonderful hosts, offering a genuinely warm welcome. Thank you for the welcome pack and lovely Cornish food!
The facilities were excellent. Our dog loved having the park to explore, and the children particularly enjoyed the tub. We found the cottage itself to be very well-equipped and tastefully decorated, with a super kitchen that had everything we needed. We cooked meals, we baked a cake, everything is there that you need!

Damian and Louise were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. They are very diligent in sending useful information to guide holiday plans and are attentive to their guests.
The setting for our accommodation was lovely. Birdsong and open countryside. The hot tub was so relaxing after our walks each day. We explored from the door on two days and travelled to Looe and NT Cotehele on the other two days of our short stay. The weather was fantastic so we took full advantage of the outdoors.
There is so much to see and do in the area. We'd love to return!
Delightful holiday with wonderful hosts who couldn’t have been more helpful. Luxurious cottage with very comfortable beds and top notch linen. If you want a quiet, peaceful countryside holiday you couldn’t ask for more. Several sandy beaches only 10 miles away, all dog friendly.
Hot tub right outside the door, with BBQ and sitting area.
Cottage was definitely one of the very best we have ever rented.
Some very nice touches like the hot outside shower for the dogs with towels provided. New toys and treats on our arrival.

Owl Barn superseded our expectations which were already high. The Barn and surrounding area was beautiful and immaculate, a little bit of heaven that ticked all the boxes for each and every member of our family.
From booking to after the break, the communication was excellent and informative. Incredibly helpful and friendly couple who have clearly put their heart and soul into this business. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and the complimentary toiletries were lovely. The highlight for us was the huge hot tub overlooking the valley, covered with a wooden gazebo, adorned with fairy light...more
