We stayed at little owl for a week with our dog. From finding this gem on Facebook, making contact with the owner, booking, special requests, greeting on arrival, the accommodation and check out the whole process was absolutely seamless and stress free which was the theme throughout. The estate is well maintained, ideal for dogs on or off lead (ours did not put her collar or lead on the whole time). The views are incredible and the peace and quiet is something else. The wonderful accomodation and outstanding location for Kernock Cottages allowed us to add to memorable family gatherings. Everyone across the various age ranges were comfortable and appreciated all the care and attention from Louise and Damien. The local knowledge ensured we enjoyed the area and the fantastically equipped kitchens meant that catering for our large group was a joy. We are already recommending the experience to many friends and are looking forward to returning ourselves.
We couldn’t have imagined a better set up for a short day break with dogs. This site itself is lovely with amazing facilities for talk walking right next to the accommodation (Central Bark). The location of Tree Barn itself within the site was also fantastic with lovely views on the valley and to the hills in the distance. It’s striking how peaceful the site is and the time of our stay (the late May bank holiday), bird song was in abundance . All in all, a perfect short stay
Lovely accommodation with everything you need including a very generous welcome pack. A very peaceful location with beautifully maintained grounds. We enjoyed listening to the birdsong while enjoying our morning cuppa. The local pub is a ten minute walk from your door and the coast is an easy drive. The hot tub is a lovely extra which was enjoyed during our stay. Damian was very welcoming and provided lots of information about the local area and places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return with the family.
Our second visit to Kernock, having previously stayed in the Coach House. Owl Barn was spacious, very well equipped and clean. It certainly met our expectations based on our previous experiences and the rest of the family were also suitably impressed. We were greeted by Damian upon arrival and given a brief run down on main items. Throughout our stay, we were send numerous updates for local events and places to visit. This was our third time at Kernow Cottages and again we were not disappointed with the condition of our accommodation. Our two dogs were quick to remember where we were and headed straight for the enclosed dog paddock. Damian and Louise were as welcoming as previous and a useful reference for local places of interest. Anticipate returning again next year.
