We stayed at little owl for a week with our dog. From finding this gem on Facebook, making contact with the owner, booking, special requests, greeting on arrival, the accommodation and check out the whole process was absolutely seamless and stress free which was the theme throughout. The estate is well maintained, ideal for dogs on or off lead (ours did not put her collar or lead on the whole time). The views are incredible and the peace and quiet is something else. The wonderful accomodation and outstanding location for Kernock Cottages allowed us to add to memorable family gatherings. Everyone across the various age ranges were comfortable and appreciated all the care and attention from Louise and Damien. The local knowledge ensured we enjoyed the area and the fantastically equipped kitchens meant that catering for our large group was a joy. We are already recommending the experience to many friends and are looking forward to returning ourselves.
We had a wonderful time staying at kernock cottages, hosts were very helpful and lots of great recomendations of things to do and visit. Great spaces to exercise the dogs and very dog friendly. which added to a very relaxing holiday
I honestly could not think of a single way our stay could have been improved. Amazing hosts, who were more than happy to assist during our stay. Brilliant for our dogs, they had a fabulous time and loved running in the fields and i could relax knowing the garden was fully secure. The property had everything we could have asked for and more, and the welcome package for us and the dogs is an amazing touch. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a staycation with their dogs and will be returning in the future
We recently had a wonderful week in Owl barn. From booking to departure day we had a great experience. Damian and Louise were so helpful with any queries and questions we had along the way. They went far over and above in helping during a lost car key incident. We are so grateful to them. The barn was perfect for what we needed. The kids and dogs were entertained which made the stay so easy. The enclosed dog area was so useful for early morning and evening walks. The views were stunning and the place very tranquil. We stayed here for the second time for a week in August. Once again we had a wonderful welcome and Damion and Louise could both have been more helpful… from walk suggestions, places to visit and places to eat. Heather Barn was perfect for our stay. We brought my Elderly In-Laws who have limited mobility so the Barn was perfect for them. One bathroom is fully fitted for all mobility needs - saving us packing anything and taking away so much stress! The Barn was beautifully decorated, really clean and has everything you need.
