We stayed in the Roost at Kernock Cottages for my mum’s 70th birthday. The facilities were excellent - giving everyone the space they needed to spend quality time together or apart. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and having an en suite each made a real difference. The secluded location meant that our private gardens had stunning views over the valley, and we felt safe letting the dog and my toddler run around. The outside space gave multiple options for relaxing and enjoying a drink or a chat. What really made the stay exceptional, though, were the hosts. Damian made us feel insta...more
All of the cottages at Kernock are just delightful and set in the most beautiful grounds. Perfect for couples, families and dogs! Each cottage is fully equipped and there are so many extra little touches and home comforts. Damian and Louise, the hosts are delightful and there is so much to explore around the area and a great local pub within walking distance. We will be going back, such a lovely few days away in beautiful surroundings.
We really enjoyed our stay at Kernock Cottages. Damian & Louise have put a lot of thought into the cottages & kept us informed at all times. It’s lovely to have the little extras - the list of condiments & kitchen equipment mean you don’t have to bring everything with you. Having the basics provided as a welcome pack enables you to enjoy the start of your stay (tea, coffee, milk, butter, bread bacon, eggs and sausages) whilst finding your way around the local area - there are some shops nearby where you can top up groceries. Damian & Louise have thought of everything - presents for the guests ( ...more
We [6 of us plus our dog] have just had a fantastic 7 days at Owl Barn. Information supplied by the hosts leading up to our visit was superb with detail on the website as to things to do, where to eat and where to walk being excellent. On the day of our arrival we were met in the outstanding surroundings by the host Damian who gave us a guided tour and instruction on how various things worked. The welcoming packs for us and our dog were lovely and a great touch. The cottage is a great size and extremely comfortable, it had everything we needed. The hot tub was a delight, used daily, with s...more
Immaculate cottage, great welcome pack , Damian met us on arrival and showed us around. He sent us loads of information on walks/pubs/shops etc. In quiet location, lovely hot tub and setting. Great for dogs, massive fenced field-fields for off the lead. Local pub was lovely, food nice too, all staff were very welcoming (The Weary Friar), only 10-15 min stroll down the lane. Ideal for visiting the coast , narrow lanes but that's what you get in Cornwall. Already recommended to family and friends, would love to return. Thank you Damian and Louise.
