We really enjoyed our stay at Dove Cottage in Castle Town. It was a perfect fit for me, my husband and 9 year old son. Really convenient as so close to the airport. It was very clean and has lovely decor. The Cottage is on Golden Meadow Mill property the views are lovely and the owners were very friendly and accomadating. I would highly recommend this cottage for couples and small families when visiting the Isle of Man.
Excellent customer service from Island Escapes. They provided lots of useful information for our visit to Peel. The accommodation was really good with lots of little extras that made our stay special. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the views were spectacular.
I booked this for a colleague visiting the island. Booking process very straight forward, communication excellent. The visitor was very happy with the accommodation, they loved it. Perfect location too.
Exceptionally clean and comfortable accommodation for five people. Beautiful views across the south of the Island. Would love to visit again!
What a wonderful holiday home, great setup, beautifully clean, excellently kitted out and a great location. We loved the open plan style of downstairs and the code feel of the bedrooms. We will definitely be returning. Ps the weather was great!
We had a lovely stay for my dad's 80th birthday with all the family including grandchildren. The cottages were spacious and beautifully presented. They were well equipped with everything we needed thought about. The kids loved the hot tubs! Thank you.
Tucked away in the north of the island this is a lovely place to stay if you want somewhere peaceful whilst (provided you have a car) not far from lots of IoM attractions. Communication in advance of our stay was excellent, as was the warm welcome from Shirley and John, who were discreet hosts but very helpful if we had a query. A comfy lounge, a well appointed and equipped kitchen (I swear everything you could need had been thought of and provided), a good sized bedroom (personally the bed gave me a touch of backache, but that's my back, not a comment on how comfortable the bed was), and a ...more
We stayed here as a group of 8 friends. The property is fabulous and in a stunning location opposite Port Erin beach. You can tell a lot of thought has gone in to not just the decor but the practicality of a larger house with multiple rooms/occupants, everything we needed was provided. From the initial booking to the flexibility of a slightly earlier check in and check out and all the correspondence in between, Island Escapes were a pleasure to deal with. Would not hesitate to recommend this house and the company. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Our first trip to the Isle of Man. We looked for somewhere that would meet our needs and Maggie’s Cottage was perfect for us. Ideal for walkers and cyclists - close to where the Heritage Trail and Millenium Way cross and the central location means the whole island is within easy reach. The cottage itself was comfortable and cosy and fantastic views in every direction. A bonus was watching the chickens from the balcony - so relaxing. Would highly recommend Maggie’s Cottage. Phil and Fliss were great hosts.
No hesitation in highly recommending The Clays. Beautifully presented, spotless and Lynn has thought of everything you could want for a very comfortable stay.
Thankyou so much for letting us stay the it was in such a beautiful location, everything we would ever need. The host was great too. Would stay again.
We had a fantastic 8 night stay at Tides View. Port St Mary is a beautiful and peaceful seaside town. The property is extremely well equipped and one of the cleanest I have visited. Rob the owner was easy to get hold of to resolve a couple of very minor issues during the stay. The greatest thing about the property is the views from the kitchen and primarily the lounge. It would be very easy to waste the whole holiday with either a cup of tea or glass of wine staring out across the harbour! Many thanks Rob for a memorable stay on the island!
Beautiful self catering house. lovely gardens the house was really big. Port erin was lovely. Everything you needed and more for self catering It was beautiful start to finish
Excellent accommodation with everything you required available. Very warm welcome when we arrived. Property was very comfortable and clean and set in 35 acres so lots of walking available from our door. Would certainly recommend staying here.
This was our second visit to Broogh Fort Cottages and we loved Kate’s Corner. Lynn, the owner, has provided all the home comforts you may need and all the properties have a lovely, luxurious feel to them. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the hot tub is a great feature. The welcome box was much appreciated, with treats for all the family. We’ll be back!
Well equipped cottage for two with wonderful sea views (best we've had at any cottage we've stayed in) and breakfast with the seabirds every morning. Location ideal for lots of walks. Good job the second handset worked with TV as we struggled with silver handset. Generous welcome package. Found it easier to park on top road to avoid sea spray on car as several nights with v. strong winds. Enjoyed our stay - very relaxing
The property is stunning and has glorious views. It is very clean and has all mod cons. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is the added touch of having around 12 herbs and spices available. The welcome pack was a lovely selection of Manx produce too. Beds are very comfortable and really nice bedding and towels with ample shampoo, conditioner and body and hand washes, not just small sachets but bottles. If there is just a couple of tiny criticisms, the first would be that it would be a benefit to have a couple of armchairs, maybe in corners that could be pulled out to use when needed...more
The owners were so friendly and helpful, when we had to change ferries which meant we were arriving a lot later than expected the owner stocked the cottage with some bread, milk, cheese & butter so we had the essentials. They showed us around the grounds and their Lavender business explaining the processes involved which was very interesting. Nothing was too much trouble, the property was beautiful, it was so clean and warm (they adjusted the heating times to meet our requirements) and explained how the Aga worked as I'd never cooked on one of those before. I would recommend the cot...more
Excellent holiday again at Close Taggart, this is the 3rd year we have been there. Always a warm welcome from the hosts john & Shirley, and as we arrived off the early morning ferry we were able to arrive earlier to the accommodation. Lovely location and the weather was beautiful. There is a welcome basket and basics in the fridge. The garden is beautiful with lots of places to sit and enjoy the view, including the tree house and a view point - took a photo of the Blue Moon from there. We will be back again next year.
We were very happy with the cottage. Very comfortable, lovely views, and in a quiet area although still close to the amenities in the town. The bed was very comfortable and it was a nice touch to have a sofa in the bedroom to sit and watch the tides and wild life.
The homemade scones and goodies in the fridge were a real treat. The accommodation is to an excellent standard, really homely and to light the log burner and use the hot tub after all the wonderful walks right on the doorstep of the Retreat was wonderful. We will be back!!
Ellan Vannin is a wonderful property, comfortable, spotless and well appointed. Our only suggestion would be that there could be more coathangers. There were only two in each cupboard. (We brought in some more)
Thie Spooyt was an absolute treat. Well presented, lovely decorative touches. Perhaps a bit of a squeeze for 6, smallest bedroom is certainly that! Would have expected a property of this calibre to have cotton bedding and quality loo roll! Disappointing "Welcome Pack" including just 6 tea bags!! Small issues with cleanliness and bed linen, the latter rectified by Island Escapes without fuss.
4 of us stayed at Ballarhennie House for the Manx Grand Prix in August. The wet weather impacted on our race viewing but having such a great place to stay more than made up for it. The house was so well equipped and comfortable we wanted for nothing. The garden was beautiful and the views were spectacular. We would love to stay here again. I must however point out that the walk from the house to the beach is not easy. Also the little step down towards the front door is hazardous especially when carrying luggage, maybe it could be highlighted with white/yellow paint. All in all a ...more
This house was perfect for our needs, we walked around the island and having a bus stop right outside the house made it ideal. The beds were very comfortable along with 3 bathrooms. I have no negatives to say about the house
This place is amazing - spotlessly clean, every facility you could think of and more. The view is spectacular, and the location is great, with shops, restaurants and attractions all within minutes. The bus service was on time and regular. We didn't use a car.
Puffin Cottage delighted us from our very first moment there, to the last. So much so we immediately re booked for next year! What a beautifully, tastefully decorated, luxurious cottage, lifted further with gorgeous, well-chosen pictures and tokens of the sea! Blessed with sunshine all week, we had sunset meals on the patio as we relished trips to Peel, to the lovely Calf, trips on the steam train and electric trams… All week long we feasted - on the cloud walking at Snaefell summit; the sweet delightful discovery of Laxey beach and Niarbyl; the smiles and waves and warmth we found i...more
Thank you for providing such a wonderful retreat for our first visit to the Isle of Man. The house truly surpassed our expectations in every way—comfort, design, and spaciousness were all top-notch. We were delighted by the thoughtful extras and found the beds and sofas incredibly cozy. The meticulous attention to detail didn't go unnoticed, making our stay exceptionally pleasant. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
Beautiful house, tastefully decorated. The hosts were very lovely and friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. The only downside is that the tv was constantly buffering on the Freeview channels.
We had a wonderful stay at the Packet House. The home is well appointed and beautiful. The view is spectacular! The location is perfect too. We are so happy we chose Packet House and will definitely book again if we find ourselves back on the Isle of Man.
Ballachrink Lodge sits in a sleepy little hollow on the west side of the island in the small drive through village of Glen Maye. Whilst there are no amenities in Glen Maye (e.g shops or pub), it is situated a mere 10 minute drive away from the larger town of Peel where you will find all amenities. The accommodation itself is well appointed and most definitely towards the top end of the scale as far as dog friendly accommodation is concerned. The secure garden is a bonus and prevented us from having to don wellies with our jammies for that first morning walk! The property is well equipped wi...more
We visited as a family of 5. The Swallows was the perfect location and very spacious. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We would definitely visit again.
Ideal for couples. Quietly situated a little way out of town. Friendly owner (next door) who is happy to help if required.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the barn. Ideal base for exploring the island. It was a lovely, cosy place to return to at the end of a day exploring! The log burner really was a bonus in the evening at the time of year we visited. We didn’t get the use of the bi fold doors opening out on to the patio, due to the weather, but in warm weather, they would be great to bring the outside in and to be able to wander from living space to patio and vice versa!! The lovely owners live next door and were on hand if needed, but not intrusive. All in all a 10/10 stay
Lovely touches in the house. Every thing was at hand. Help full owner. Suggest trying to get more air flow in the basement as smelt a little musty.
Simply blown away with the standard of the accommodation at Bradda Place. Every bedroom comfortable beds, plenty of space, everything you would think you would need. Great kitchen, outside decking, tv’s in every room (although we couldn’t get the kitchen one to work), First class, and a great base for our son’s wedding at Bradda Glen. Also ideal for a family holiday as just across the road from the beach. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Loved our stay here - watching the sea from the balcony every morning, the stunning kitchen, and the little extra touches, all made this a really lovely stay
We very much enjoyed our stay at Keys Cottage - it was spacious, attractive and comfortable. There were a couple of minor niggles - the smart TV instructions were confusing and one of the wardrobes was very difficult to open. Apart from that we didn't have any issues. The location was fantastic too.
Fantastic from start to finish. The views are incredible. House has everything you could possibly need and more. Information before and during stay is second to none. It’s perfect .
The family Kitchen, Granny, Grandpa, mummy, daddy and the children had a fantastic week at Balladuke. Elaine is a great host and the surroundings wonderful.
This was the perfect location for our wedding party (family of the bride). We enjoyed a few days pre wedding and the space and location were fabulous! Couldn’t have wished for a better home to prepare for the celebrations and share time with family and friends during our pre wedding celebrations.
Acorn cottage is a real gem in a lovely setting. Really well fitted out and very comfortable bed. Just a few little things! Had a problem with the kitchen tap and 2 days for plumber and no hot water on last morning so cold wash which took me way back!!! Please fix bathroom mirror light. Other than these little things we had a lovely stay at Acorn Cottage.
This property met all the requirements of the three generations of the family and also to meet cousins sister and brother in law, nieces and nephews just down in Port E Vullen. House very well equipped and the 4year old was delighted when toys were found in the chest in our bedroom. Overall everyone had a great time with views out of most of the windows which are stunning. The driveway could do with a trim and also the namebord at bottom of drive.
What a fabulous experience. A lovely place to stay with the sea just over the road providing an excellent view. The house was spotless and was obviously well maintained. Everything was provided that you require including some extras - tea, coffee, milk, bread and cheese. Every appliance is there that you need so you don't need to provide anything yourself, apart from your own shower gel and shampoo. Some nice little touches too with the beachy themed accessories around the house. It was nice that every room had its own bathroom so no-one was in anybody else's way. Very comfortable pla...more
Very well equipped and very clean. A little bit hard to find as its tucked away from the road round a sharp bend in the road. Everything worked as expected and we much appreciated the little touches of milk, bread and butter plus some hand soap and dishwasher tablets to make it very easy to settle into. We very much enjoyed our stay here being easy to access all that the Isle of Man has to offer.
The apartment was conveniently located with parking outside the front door. The views were incredible, with a quiet beach and walks opposite the property, which was important to us as we had a dog with us. Entering the apartment meant using several sets of stairs, which may mean it isn't suitable for everyone. There was a further set of steep stairs up to the main bedroom, which put us of from using it. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable, although the necessity for internal fire doors was a bit of an inconvenience at times. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and found...more
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was a great for our larger family. And found it a perfect place for our stay on the island
Our first visit to the IOM - Sunnyside provided a lovely base from which we did our best to visit as much of the Island as possible. Island Escapes had sent a wealth of valuable information which was both reassuring and useful. We loved our week there.
TV remotes do not work. Window in twin room very drafty, so cold.during the night as it was very windy
Lovely, cosy little cottage with fantastic views. Location is a bit remote, but that is what we wanted. Ideal for visiting the southern parts of the island. Very welcoming and helpful hosts.
A beautifully restored property, set in a huge private garden, you really feel immersed in the countryside here, yet only a 5 min drive from Peel. The owner came to welcome us when we arrived, which was a nice touch. We are hoping to stay again next year.
This is a great place to stay. Renovated stone cottage with character but brought up to date with all modern comforts. A great location that is central to everything you need in Castletown. If you are looking for comfort this is the place.
Beautifully presented throughout, Quay Cottage is an interesting place to stay. Views over the harbour and out to sea mean there’s a constantly changing view. The bedrooms and bathrooms are modern and spacious. The kitchen whilst well equipped is very narrow so not easy for more than one person to work in. The staircase to the living room is also extremely narrow making transporting your food upstairs ti the dining area a challenge.
Great family holiday was had at Eary Cushlin, beautiful location, properly off grid, equipped as you'd expect & some things you may not expect binoculars/ telescope handy for all the surrounding nature, passing boats ships even the odd cruise ship. Beautiful views especially from the bedroom windows first thing in the morning. Stunning 4 bedroom property on the lovely Isle of Man. Thank you would love to come back one day hopefully sooner rather than later
Stayed for a week in October in this lovely house by the sea. The accommodation is excellent and well thought out. The views are stunning and the location is quiet but well placed for the airport and Castletown, Port Erin and Port St Mary. We loved the well equipped kitchen, the large communal dining area and the fact that the sleeping accommodation is well spaced apart - essential when there was a noisy 3 year old with us! We were warm and cosy during our stay and found plenty to do and see.
Cottage was well presented and supplied with all we needed + very convenient for beach, shops and bus. Was a bit querky inside and one had to take care of the different levels indoors. Generally all worked well although personally we would not have chosen "golden cutlery"!
Excellent accommodation, had everything we wanted. Very clean and tidy with all necessary (and some welcome, if not strictly necessary) amenities. Location about as perfect as you could get. Peel is, arguably, the best location for exploring the island or for just relaxing.
Loved this place. Location is perfect. Immediate access from the front door to lovely walks exploring the coastline, glens and harbour village itself. Port St Mary is a lovely place to visit, do as little or as much as you like. The island is there to be explored and when you return to Tides Reach you have a well designed modern holiday pad which is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need (including an air fryer). Bed is large and very comfortable. Bathroom modern with walk in shower with good water pressure. I believe there is underfloor heating but as it was warm and sun...more
Very comfortable & quiet location. Great base to explore the island. Very handy for Port Erin & Port St Mary.
Good location for our needs. Very clean and comfortable. Additional hand towels and hooks needed for the kitchen and downstairs W.C. Towel rails required for the bedrooms and shower room. Good basic kitchen equipment provided, but there were a few more items I would have used had they been there i.e. mixing bowl, teapot cover, steamer pan, etc. It would be nice to have a small amount of kindling ready to light the wood burner for the first night. Thank you Island Escapes for another good stay on IOM.
The apartment was just as described. Well appointed kitchen with everything we needed for our stay. Location great, not far from the shops pub or pubs. Also only a short walk to the beach. Plenty of information available too. We had a great time deciding where to go on the island.
Beautiful house , great location, sea views , spotlessly clean, had a lovely short break here really nice comfortable beds slept really well.has everything you need. Welcome groceries when arrived , would love to stay here again sometime.
Our third visit to the Stables Lovely spacious cottage with disabled access which is perfect for one of our daughters who has limited mobility. Perfect location to explore the island. My only criticism would be that we were looking forward to the use of the hot tub which we discovered on arrival had been decommissioned although was still on site Both the website advertises the facility and the pre arrival indicated it was available which was rather disappointing.
Gorgeous cottage in a fantastic location. Spa facilities were lovely. Immaculately clean and had everything we needed.
Our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to "Harbour Hideaway" in Castletown. The property is handily situated close to the harbour, easy to find [use the instructions provided] and comfortably provides sufficient space for a family of 6. The lounge and dining area is a really good size, the bathroom facilities are thoroughly modern and the beds were comfortable. My only hint would be to take a small / medium sized car with you in order to fit it into the relatively small allocated space at the rear of the property. We took our Suzuki S Cross [4.3 metres length] after advice from ...more
Very happy and suited our needs for this stay. It was comfortable for 3 generations of family. Plenty of hot water. Welcome pack on arrival (milk, bread, cheese, butter and chocolate) was a nice touch.
Excellent property, furnished & equipped to a high standard. Very clean thought. Only criticism is that the cards lane is difficult to find, definitely needed the what 3 words address. A sign at the entrance would be beneficial.
What a great place to stay! The house was beautifully presented, warm, welcoming and so well equipped. Everything good quality and very clean. A selection of gorgeous local goodies greeted us. Uninterrupted views of the sea from three of the bedrooms and the sittingroom, a pretty garden to sit out in the sun and a woodburning stove for when we felt like curling up with a good book and a glass of wine; a lot of thought and care has gone into making this a great place to stay. We were six adults (2 couples and 2 singles) plus a two year old. We loved being between Port St Mary and Port Er...more
The cottage was very comfortable well located and very clean Only downside and very minor - there are 3 keys on a string and it is hard to know which key works with which lock.
Very enjoyable stay at Ballavodden Farm cottage. Hope to return again The property is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. I would recommend it to friends or family. Thank you
Baljean is in a fantastic location both for views over the harbour and for access to the village centre shops and public transport. Generally the house is well appointed with everything you will need for a relaxing holiday, The kitchen is well equiped and even has a dish washer which was very welcome, The Shower room has underfloor heating and the shower (overhead Rain and handheld) is spacious with excellent pressure. Bedrooms are well decorated and beds very comfortable, Bedside lights and USB sockets (throughout the house) are useful. The lounge posed a couple of issues, nothing serious bu...more
Had a lovely week exploring the island from this handy base. Clean and well equipped, it has superb views across the south which are delightful to enjoy with a coffee in the mornings.
We had a lovely stay in this spacious and quiet apartment which adjoins the hosts’ home. Arrival instructions were clear and we were made very welcome. We were really impressed by the very well-equipped and furnished accommodation; we had everything we could need in a true home-from-home. Our dog was also made welcome and there are lovely walks in the area. Ballaugh offers a small Spar and a friendly pub and good access by car to the many heritage sites, beaches and other places to visit around the Isle of Man. Strongly recommended.
Very peaceful location in rural surroundings off the beaten track. The cottage was clean, well equipped and well presented with a nice arrival pack which we appreciated.
Really great level of accommodation. Fitted to a high standard, lots of space and very comfortable. I stayed on business for 3 nights, and it was great to stay somewhere homely and outside of Douglas. I would suggest some clearer signage to The Swallow's Nest from the car park - took me a little while to find the door when arriving very late in the dark!
Lovely stay, comfortable cottage with everything you need, location perfect for us with a dog. Would definitely return
Very well done modernised cottage in a good quiet location near the harbour. No problem with parking outside and within easy reach of shops/cafes etc.
We enjoyed our traditional thatched cottage getaway which was only one of few on the island. The amenities were great, 1 minute walk to a quiet beach, the butter, bread, milk, cheese and chocolates were such a lovely touch. We'll go with island escapes again for our next unique stay!
Our group consisted of three recently retired gentlemen who wished to meet up over the Isle of Man motoring festival, and the property had ample parking for our three cars. Cottage was very well equipped enabling us to eat in one evening. I would not hesitate to return to the property with my wife at some point in the future.
Beautiful Gatekeepers Cottage in Port St Mary so cosy very clean and really good customer service Thank you
We really enjoyed our fortnight's stay. We were made very welcome by our hosts and the apartment was very nice and provided everything we needed. On arrival our lovely hosts had left us a hamper of some basic foods and some special treats too. Everything was perfect and we should love to go back again.
We liked the apartment. It's been newly done up and we liked the style, everything simply and thoughtfully provided. The icing on the cake would have been central heating. Without it, I don't think we'd come back in midwinter, but at the right time of year, yes, we'd come here again.
We enjoyed our stay at Close Vark Farmhouse and would recommend without hesitation. Bill and Lisa were perfect hosts
Our second visit to Seal Rock, which is excellent for mobility and sight impaired visitors as it is all on one level and no steps ! The property is in a lovely position with Sea Views and a good position for Bus and Steam Train! The Kitchen appliances could do with a make over, and a Tumble dryer would make a big difference We hope to come back soon !
Nice cosy cottage ideal for dog walkers and walkers in general excellent owners who live next door nothing was too much trouble
Ideally located in the countryside if you like peace & quiet although not ideal if you dont have your own transport.
property well located in Ramsay, very quiet area, good parking, small back garden. Excellent accommodcatrion
Very convenient for anywhere on the Island, it was very difficult to find in the dark, needs better signage.
Property was easily located and central for exploring the whole of the island. On arrival the house was thoroughly clean & vey comfortable for our four adults and two small dogs. The 'welcome pack' was much appreciated meaning we didn't need to go back out shopping immediately on arrival. Only down points were : - no coat hooks in the hallway, hall mirror was far too high for the average hight person to use. Facilities : kettle on / off switch very temperamental, needing great patience to operate. Hot water regularly ran out after only two showers. Overall a very comfortable home from h...more
We stayed during TT week so it was quite expensive to book. Having looked at other dates outside the TT it is still quite expensive, i think i did expect a bit more as shown in the photos for the money - maybe this is just me? Owner was lovely, pleasant and really welcoming. We had an issue with water one day and he came to chat to us about it about 5 minutes after i texted him. The accommodation itself was clean and the location was perfect, lovely and quiet outside and a good distance to everything on the island. Owner was helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit. The water...more
Woodcroft is a lovely homely cottage. The beds were really comfortable and we slept well It was well equipped apart from we could have done with some more hand towels. Woodcroft is set in quiet grounds and is in a central location to explore the island. The welcome pack was a nice touch. We would definitely come back.
An amazing weekend spent in Laxey. Excellent communication from Island Escapes regarding check in/out/facilities. The house was fantastic and the location was great. Beautifully decorated with everything you need. We took advantage of the sea location with several dips & booked the sauna afterwards. We felt like tourists, using the tram, walking through the mines, pizza from Mona Lisa, candles from Ginger Giraffe, coffee from The Shed & Sunday lunch at The Shore. We all had an amazing weekend with lots of memories- thank you Island Escapes.
We had a nice stay at West View. Minor issues dealt with by helpful staff . Sam and Nick . We found central heating a bit complicated . Green bin slightly confusing as it says to put rubbish in but says garden waste . We could find no other green bin . Reasonable value for money we felt
We stayed at Beach’s Reach for a week in August. Booking was straightforward, communications from Island Escapes was through and clear - directions easy to understand and we were delighted to receive a message on arrival to the island saying the house was ready early. The house is exactly as presented in the photos - clean, well laid out and excellently equipped. All bedrooms are of a decent size, beds were comfortable and there are excellent views of the castle from the top floor room at the front Bathroom is of a good size, shower has decent pressure and plenty of hot water. Very nice cottage, well laid out, clean and v.comfortable with good wifi and we'll equipped for guests
Mariner’s Cottage has been very nicely renovated and we had everything we needed. It was the time of the Manx TT so we thought the price was bit elevated because of that. The cottage is sited v ery conveniently for the whole island and we had a very good holiday.. The team at the Island Escapes office were helpful making the parking restrictions more understandable so we never parked illegally.
Very nice clean , very comfortable, i know we had the problem with the heating what was a little uncomfortable as we had vulnerable adults in the house but on the end was resolved and we got a little refund
As local Isle of Man residents we were looking to host some off Island friends and enjoy a little staycation. Carrick Bay Apartment is truly a home away from home, it is furnished with all the necessities you would ever require and all of the small details have been thought of. The location of the apartment is truly spectacular and made for some truly memorable sunrises over looking the bay. To be able to take our little dog with made the entire weekend that much more special. Island Escapes made the entire trip from booking, to gaining access to the apartment and even understanding how heatin...more
We enjoyed our stay in Surfside, with easy access to swimming, a quiet location and yet convenient for the town.
Lovely location and great apartment , the only downside was the lack of soundproofing from the upstairs apartment.
Really spacious. Excellent bedroom and bathroom accommodation. Nice sized garden. Loads of parking space. Great views. Fab location. Obviously geared to large gatherings but you won't feel crowded even if you used all the bedrooms. Hot tub and small sauna a bonus. The library is interesting and grand piano a classy touch. We liked the lived in 'feel at home' atmosphere which helped us relax but we never forgot the potential for the deposit of £1000 towards damages to not be refunded. Damocles. The house could do with WiFi extenders as the signal is only effective in the ground floor hall a...more
A lovely spacious clean appartment just a few minutes walk from Central Port Erin and the beach. The appartment is extremly well kitted out and whilst the outside of the block is not the most architecturally pleasing building , the inside makes up for it! Family visit with elderly parent, we chose this appartment based on accesability and we were not dissappointed. Having lived on the Island for 20 years on the East coast it was a nice change to be based in Port Erin. The appartment has everything you will need. The outside would benefit from some TLC however we would definatel...more
We had a magical week staying in Shee st be a in Port Erin. The house is in a stunning location overlooking the bay. The house was perfect for anyone wanting a relaxing break in a beautiful, peaceful place. The house is attractive, comfortable and had everything we needed. Port Erin is a fantastic base for visiting all areas of the island. We would be more than happy to return for a further stay.
This is a well presented large apartment. Very clean. Bedrooms are large and the queen size beds are brilliant. So comfortable. Will look to use again next summer. Just one thing. The internet is provided by a mobile unit and the mobile data speeds on the prom are poor so the apartment’s internet is slow. This wouldn’t matter quite so much but for the tv being an internet only tv. Could full broad band be added?
This apartment is comfortable, well-appointed, very spacious and has a fantastic sea-view from the main living room. Has everything you could need to make for a good holiday stay - a real home away from home.
Our cottage was ideally located, decor was fresh and welcoming and well equipped. We were very comfortable and would stay there again.
Loved it - great escape from busy life - highly recommended. Constructive feedback - track up to farm is a bit rough and brochure with information in accommodation is somewhat out of date.
We were pleased to have chosen Little Haven for a last minute trip to the Isle of Man in September 2024. The property met our expectations and provided a convenient base for visiting other parts of the island. I would happily stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Views cottage. It has great views from the front, and we enjoyed sitting in the conservatory when it was sunny. There was plenty of seating both in the kitchen and the living room for our party of six. The property is very well equipped, although one minor point is that we couldn't find a vegetable peeler. The beds were comfortable and we are very grateful to Island Escapes for making sure the bedding was hypoallergenic (due to feather allergies). One issue we had is that the Wi-Fi seemed very weak during our stay. The router is in the lounge, and we could ...more
The house was everything we could need and more. So nice to have essentials of milk, bread, cheese, butter and coffee and tea so we didn't have to go to the shops immediately. Great location too
The milking parlour is a delightful holiday cottage, fully updated, very comfortable , and quite spacious. It is in the north of the Island about 30 minutes from Douglas but the relatively small size of the Isle of Man makes everywhere on the Island easy to reach. The views from the accommodation are wonderful with views if the sea and on a clear day Scotland is visible from the milking parlour. I'd recommend this property to anyone who requires a comfortable modern spacious base . We did meet the owner who was really helpful as were the staff at Island Escapes who provided detailed inform...more
Excellent accommodation. All facilities you'll need are on hand. Nice location with the Manx Electric railway right at the botton of the lane to take you into Douglas or North to Laxey and Ramsey. Very pleasant hosts who made us feel very welcome. Will definately be back.
Lovely clean cottage and despite it being small it had everything we needed! Loved the hot tub once we got the hang of heating it up! Great location on the farm but out of the way and we loved being able to walk up to the tower nearby to see the view.
the house was a bit hard to find on the estate the first time quite a climb if walking house was spacious i found the settee soft and not easy to get of double bed was fine the king size bed was to singles put together it was very large public transport is excellent the staff at island escapes where very efficient and very informative we would use them again when we come again
2 Scenic View is perfect in every way. The beds are SO comfortable; the bath is huge, the shower is superb. The kitchen is very well equipped. The oven, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer are first class; a generous airer is also available. We didn't need to use the dishwasher. The only minor fault we found is that the fridge, with its freezer section, would have been more useful if it had been larger. The views from the large windows in the lounge are truly breath-taking. It is a short walk to a very large, sandy, safe beach. There is also a large lawned area just at the bottom o...more
Firstly the location. A tale of three sides is how I would put it. Side one overlooked the golf course and surrounding hills. Lovely views and quite relaxing to look out onto. Side two over the Irish sea in the distance. Again a very relaxing outlook. Side three from the bedroom windows is a bit of a disaster, overlooking some garages that look like they need knocking down. However it has to be said that there is no disturbance from this area. When you enter the property you get a bit of a surprise, and a gashed head if you are not careful. Underneath the stairway is the washing machine ...more
The farmhouse is situated close to the Ayers national nature reserve. So quiet and beautiful and right by the coast. The farmhouse and grounds are so similar to my grandparents home from way back when -happy childhood memories. The house is well equipped and no issues with the WiFi. Will definitely stay again.
I had noted other reviewers mentioning the damp smell so I actually brought a diffuser with me for the stay, but it was so overwhelming every time we returned to the property, it was awful. Like another reviewer I am still trying to wash the smell of damp out of my luggage and clothes. There is no allocated parking for this property and parking was more often not available and we had to park in the main square overnight a few times. The bathroom door doesnt close or lock and you cant open the lounge window or kitchen window so it was impossible to get a fresh air flow through the ground...more
Very strong smell of dogs limited the amount of use we could make of living area. Internet was intermittent
This cottage is ideally situated off the main road and is nice & quiet. We arrived very late on the day of our arrival and were grateful for the little extras such as bread & milk. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfy so got a good nights sleep. The bathrooms were clean and towels were provided along with bed linen. Unfortunately the cottage could have done with a bit more cleaning as there were cobwebs everywhere, which meant there were many spiders too, a bit off putting. The kitchen itself looked like it was given a general clean and that's it. The chopping board had...more
We enjoyed our stay at At Pargys. It had everything we needed for a base to explore IOM. It was well-equipped, clean, spacious and comfortable. The user guide was very good. From our point of view some things could be better / but they are minor and we understand the constraints of an old cottage and we appreciated its quirky charm is its appeal. The directions given from the town centre were too vague. A distance from town should be incorporated and some landmarks. (We arrived very late in the dark and were lucky to find it). The cottage was very cold on arrival at 14degrees. The ki...more
We really enjoyed our stay, lovely area with good places to eat. The garrison in castle Douglas and the forge grill a short drive away were particularly good.
Its an old cottage with small rooms that has been improved but when you look round in detail there were cobwebs, paint work poor and finished badly, Windows would not open as painted shut? Fire hazard? No microwave although listed, the toilet is downstairs and the stairs are steep and fun negotiating! Place has a damp smell although they have had a water leak downstairs with the floor wet. Took us 1/2 hour to get the right channel on the tv working for the sky which only has basic channels. No room for a table to eat at so stuck to eating on the settee. front door key and locking a nightmare! ...more
Lovely home, very clean, welcome pack was wonderful, little Manx chocolate lovely, Close to shops very grocery. We had a wonderful time, bought bread from Kellas very fresh . We only have one comment, please test the mattress on the double bed you can feel all the springs.
Lovely little cottage within walking distance of the Laxey beach and Old Laxey as well as the tram station.
On arrival kitchen floor at sink was full of water no mop. Floor wet again next day on further inspection water leaking from pipe under sink. Been like that a long time as cabinet was out of shape due to leaking water Dust and cat dog hairs in bedrooms. Tried to hoover no suction. Crumbs on bed side cabinets dirt in bathroom corners. Every room had cob webs and dirt in corners. Sink upstairs thick with dust. Main bedroom carpet full of dirt and hairs. Stairs carpet not hoovered. For our arrival and amount we paid seemed no cleaning even done. Couldn't sleep in room itching from pet hairs a...more
