The lodge is so clean, tidy & well equipped. The whole place is just perfect for a chilled relaxing break. We will definitely be going again.
This is definitely our ‘Happy Place’ After holidaying here for over12 years (mostly twice a year) we still feel the calm relaxing atmosphere that we always have, stepping into the lodge and seeing the lake makes any stress disappear instantly! It is a home from home with everything you need provided and is beautifully clean and fresh. The attentive owners Katie and Tim are always on hand and make sure we have everything we need. This was our 3rd visit here, staying in a different Lodge each time. The place is perfect, although the weather made the fishing difficult we still managed good fish with some real exciting moments that will provide us with stories for some time, The Lodges have everything you need and are of an exceptional standard, the surrounding woods and pathways are well kept and just a delight to walk through. A pleasurable break, whether you,re fishing or just laid back relaxing taking in the bird song and watching the wild life, been 4 times now and the last time was as pleasurable as the first
What a beautiful place this is! Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The lodges are very clean and comfortable. There is everything you could need for your stay. Theres lots of wildlife to see which is lovely. The fish in the lake are well looked after. There are recycling bins, a little office where you can buy bread, eggs, milk, bacon ect. Its just a lovely place.
We have just returned from a long weekend in Badge Lodge and it was wonderful. Katie, the host, could not do enough to help and her lemon cake is gorgeous. The setting was so relaxing and beautiful, and the lodge was perfect. It was clean, very comfortable, cosy, fully equipped and just had all those extra touches that shows thought has been put into the detail. The hot tub was the icing on the cake and was so clean and well looked after. We will certainly be back.

Our second stay at Rural Roosts, and hopefully not the last. It's a lovely setting and we particularly appreciate the small number of lodges thoughtfully located to enable privacy, and views of the lake and trees. Spacious and well equipped, both lodges we have stayed in were very clean and comfortable. Katie has been really helpful with our queries and the whole site is really well set out and maintained. Lots of places nearby for walking and not too far to the coast - Sandilands/Huttoft beach area very accessible and uncrowded.
