This is definitely our ‘Happy Place’ After holidaying here for over12 years (mostly twice a year) we still feel the calm relaxing atmosphere that we always have, stepping into the lodge and seeing the lake makes any stress disappear instantly! It is a home from home with everything you need provided and is beautifully clean and fresh. The attentive owners Katie and Tim are always on hand and make sure we have everything we need. Been coming for about 5 years beautiful quiet place for a relaxing break from every day life. Nothing is to much trouble just ask and Katie and Tim are only a text away .they will do what they can .Would highly recommend

We returned for another relaxing holiday. The communication before the holiday was great and prompt. The lodge was clean and welcoming with a lovely lemon cake for us and treats for the dog. A welcome message was sent letting us know that Katie and Tim could be contacted if we had any questions or issues over our stay. The hottub was clean and perfect temp and was checked every day. We had the reservoir lake to ourselves for most of the week and one day pulled out 19 fish. We'll definitely be back again. Thanks Katie and Tim.
We had a wonderful time at Rural Roots , we enjoyed the peace and tranquility, we especially liked the walks with our dog Freddie in the bark park , it’s a very good location we were near the coast and a few national trust properties, the cabin had all the amenities that we needed and it was very quiet at night , we will certainly be visiting again
Badger lodge has everything you need. Love rural roosts, so quiet and relaxing. The lodges are comfortable and spotless!. Can't wait for our next visit.

Love Rural Roosts, This is our 4th year holidaying here. The fishing is always good with a choice of 2 venues. The handy Lodge lake a short walk from all lodges and the larger Reservoir lake with larger carp and a handy lockable shed to keep your tackle. Very dog friendly with lots of lovely walks. The lodges are well equiped and the WIFI exceedingly good.
