A delightful rural stay at a pleasant location containing a number of well-equipped wooden lodges set amongst trees and spaced out round a tranquil lake. Each lodge has a veranda overlooking the lake which provides an excellent outdoors seating area - but the well-apportioned combined kitchen/lounge provides ample space on occasions when the weather is less clement. .
Would highly recommend coming to this hidden gem . Quiet relaxing . 5 star accommodation. On recent visit saw a barn owl 3 times rabbits hare green woodpeckers outside lodge on tree . toads loads of nature to spot
As always a well presented lodge with everything a guest could need . very welcome Lemon Drizzle cake on arrival and is brilliant that dogs are catered for as well. Lovely walks nearby and good access to Lincoln and the coast. Already booked for next year !
This is the place to go for a relaxing break.the cabins are lovely everything you could want we don't usely go this early but we had a nice relaxed time.says it all we are back in july.give it a try lovely dog walks and nice fishing on your doorstep.

We had never been here before and was a bit nervous of what awaited us as we had stayed in many fishing lodges and there was always something wrong, but not this time. We felt like we were on holiday as soon as we pulled into the car parking space right next to the lodge. The first sight you see the is the lake which is bout 20 metres from the lodge and stunning. The lodge it self was spotless, smelt fresh and clean,had lovely towels,had everything you needed in the kitchen to cook every night as we did. We booked a last minute break at Rural Roosts for some relaxation a few days after my retirement. The lodge was lovely, clean and comfortable as usual and we enjoyed walks around the lake and farm. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
