Shepherds Lodge is finished to a high standard and was very clean and comfortable. Although on a plot next to other rental properties it is very private, with the garden and property overlooking open fields. The location is only a short walk from local amenities and the stunning beach of Beadnell, with numerous walks from the Lodge. We had a very comfortable stay at the Lodge, it felt very homely. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch and much appreciated (the cake was gorgeous). I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Shepherds Lodge and would be more than happy to return.
Just want to say a big thank you for a lovey weekend stay in your shepherds hut. The place was superb, loved the stargazing windows in the roof. The girls enjoyed there bunk beds and hot tub. Only a few points to improve what was an outstanding stay is the duvet on the king size bed was to thin for the night time as it went freezing cold so maybe that could be looked at. Also only having the log fire for heat, could do with more logs with your booking. Lovely couple of days in the Sanderling love the log burner and hot tub. Bed really comfortable and the water piping hot. Couldn’t get the kitchen sink plug to work and there wasn’t a washing up bowl and found it very dark outside as the solar lights weren’t working so had to use torch on phones this didn’t spoil out stay in any way but might be helpful to others
Benthall House is a large, spacious well-equipped detached holiday let with views straight out to sea from near Beadnell harbour. We were short of nothing inside the house and it is very close to lots of interesting places. There are plenty of walks and cycle routes in the area too. Just a note that at present (Jan 2025) there is no local shop in Beadnell - the nearest is in Seahouses, but this wasn't a problem once we knew. The owners were excellent in their communications and we would definitely recommend this property and return ourselves.
Lovely cottage. Really cozy with fabulous views from the garden. You can watch the sheep in the field going about their day or marvel at the fabulous views. Very comfortable beds and linen and everything you could need. Highly recommended.
Shepherd’s cottage is comfortable and deceptively spacious. Conservatory is beautiful, Games room is incredible and snooker and pool tables are as new. Bathrooms need an upgrade but I believe that’s going to happen in the near future. All in all a good choice for our family get- together!
