A brief but very pleasant stay at Shepherd’s Lodge. Well equipped lodge. Dog friendly secure garden. Easy walk to the village pubs. Friendly and approachable hosts. Would definitely recommend for a short break.
Had a very nice short stay at the Sandpiper lots of useful info provided and the hut has everything you might need. Lovely touches with all the dog stuff. Some parts looked a little tired but the views certainly made up for any little niggles.
Ill start by saying, we will be back. Bed was comfortable, big tick! Clean, had everything we needed in the perfectly compact kitchen, we cooked steaks, jackets potatoes and broccoli one night. Fire inside was so cosy! The outside area of the Sanderling had perfect views of the countryside. First time with a woodfired hot tub, now my favorite! The shed with fridge was very practical and useful. Really safe for our little doggo. For me the star of the show was the glass window over the bed! Spent the weekend at Benthall House celebrating Dad/Grandads 80th birthday.We arrived to to birthday banner and balloons in the hallway bottle of wine and chocs in the kitchen with birthday wishes, thanks Sam .Warm house clean beds and towels plenty of parking and a safe garden for our dog Freddie.What more could you ask. yes the weather. We were blessed by sunshine and clear skies at night. The stars and the northern lights viewed from a night time walk on the beach. This was our fourth visit to Benthall House we love it and will be booking again for next year
The Bothy had everything we needed - easy parking, kitchen with all equipment, even a slow cooker that was handy. Seating in the garden was great with a veranda to sit under if wet. Easy walking distance to Beadnell. Only comments - having Springer Spaniels they had to be on leads in garden as they could easily hop into next door off the rockery. The maintenance men were there every day and were lovely and acknowledged it was a problem as their Collie had done the same. However, had a lovely stay and would definitely come again. Thank you
