I was in quarantine for 2 weeks and it was made a lot easier by having a fantastic neighbour. She came out to talk to me and offered to do shopping for me. The bungalow was really lovely and spacious. The bed was really comfortable. There were essentials and treats there when I arrived. I was given really easy directions to follow and found the property easily. I would describe it as fantastic. It was just a shame that I wasnt allowed out to enjoy being in port Erin. The avenue and the people living there were so friendly. It's in a lovely location
A perfect base for relaxing with lovely rural views and exploring the Glens and beaches of the Island`s SW coast. The Gym and Hot Tub were a bonus for the young and active!
A very comfortable and quiet oasis, ideally situated for exploring the Curragh and all over the north of the island. With perfect hosts on hand for advice but otherwise rarely glimpsed and a lovely garden to relax in. Even fresh herbs to pick.
Had such a great time in a wonderful place. We will definitely be back. The spa was incredible and great space for us all for the weekend. Thanks
Attractive and sensitive decor, with Steam Packet motif echoing the building's historical use. Imaginitive use of space, without sacrificing usability. Lovely touch to have a card as a greeting and activities for children. My only complaint is the playing cards were bust (though all present), I kept losing.
What a wonderful place to stay hopefully will be back everything was so well run and friendly with no exception.
Great staycation with the family. Plenty of room for us all to enjoy ourselves plus some good extras.
Only disadvantage with this property - there is very little outside space. Inside is very well equipped with plenty of space in all rooms and excellent bathrooms.
I stayed in the property during my 2 week isolation after returning to the island. Obviously no one relishes 2 weeks on their own, but having said that, I can't think of a nicer place to spend the two weeks. The property is lovely, it has every facility you are likely to need, it is comfortable and the owner, Elaine, was very helpful - within the bounds of my isolation. Also the view is stunning, you can spend quite a lot of time just looking out from the window. Many thanks for arranging the booking for me. Ian Musgrave
This accommodation is spacious and comfortable in an ideal location for enjoying the countryside and coast. It has a modern Kitchen and large dining room, ideal for family meals. The pool table and table tennis got plenty of use in the evenings and there was a good collection of dvds and games.
We had an amazing time Beautiful settings Completely chilled and relaxing Everything you need for a weekend away from home My friends and I would recommend eary cushlin and are thinking of returning with our own families
Absolutely loved the Packet House or as we will always call it Perfect House...There’s not much more to say really it’s clean, high specced, comfortable and cosy, exceptional!!!
We stayed at Quay cottage for four nights, after previously noting it on other staycations to Port St Mary. Property has been well refurbished from an old fisherman's cottage with everything you require for a short break but would have liked to seen a couple of fold up chairs so that you can sit outside and watch the world going by. Cottage is small with possibly the smallest kitchen we have stayed at and there are two flights of stairs, one of which is narrow. We have a relatively small car a Kia Soul which we could park directly outside but anything bigger would be a struggle. However there ...more
Amazing welcome, lots of little thoughtful gestures, beautiful tranquil setting surrounded by stunning gardens & countryside
Had the best time at Dandy Rig Cottage, the cottage has everything you need .. super cosy .. garden is lovely with amazing views.. can not recommend enough.. will definitely be going back.
Nice decor and excellent cleanliness. We liked the entertainment options for family with little kids. We expected a better sea view. Unfortunately, the view from the living room and the first-floor bedroom is obstructed by the house in front. Living room sofas could have been more comfortable.
Despite the traditional outside appearance there was no orginal features inside. The heating was problematic despite the instructions.
Clean, well equipped, very comfortable and excellent customer service. Would 100% stay again or recommend.
We are five friends who had a staycation at Knockaloe Beg and stayed in The Stables. The Stables was very comfortable and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and we had a choice of them being double or twin. Also ample parking.
It was a brilliant location to stay at being so close to the shore and pub. The house was lovely however there were a fair few cobwebs about. We did notice a few ants in the kitchen and one night there was a slug that had got in somewhere so maybe a little hole somewhere that needs to be blocked off. Also we returned one night to what we think was long tail droppings on the bathroom floor (on the first floor). I understand there are sewer works going out just outside so maybe to do with that. The welcome pack they had left for us along with a lovely card to wish us a great holiday was ...more
This is our second time in the Arches, it never fails to impress and nor does Island Escapes as there is everything in this house you would ever need. Huge bedrooms, loads of wardrobe space but the open plan layout downstairs is where this house performs. It is the perfect house to entertain, a cosy living room off of the spacious kitchen dining area with a huge TV and great internet. The little homely touches that island escapes provide is so well thought out, from the welcome hamper, cheese, milk, ice, coffee bags, fresh baked bread, down to the shampoo, hand wash, conditioner and cream from...more
We had a lovely staycation and would definitely like to come back again soon. The house is in a great location and a nice quiet area. The children had a wonderful time and loved their stay here. We were very impressed with how clean the house was, we had everything we needed and felt very at home.
Fantastic views from this lovely property, set in a lovely quiet peaceful area, the adjoining meadow was lovely to wander around with the dogs. Cottage was comfortable, clean and the kitchen had all the mod cons needed. Had an issue with the electric and heating when we arrived, rang the owner and she got everything sorted within an hour, No secure area outside for the dogs to be left off the lead which was a shame but not a massive issue. Less than 5 minutes drive to the Ayres Nature Reserve which is gorgeous and a great spot for walking with the dogs - would definitely go back
Had the best weekend here.views to die for .bath was totally amazing.fantastic we will definitely be going back 10/10
Great place to stay very quiet the views are amazing Even though it’s small it has a lovely calm feeling great for meditation And if you love birds there are several different types on your door step Finally it’s lovely to wave at the people going past on the tram
We have spent 2 weeks in isolation at The Milking Parlour. We’ve enjoyed our stay. The cottage is lovely and the views amazing. I have not given the condition 5 because there are a couple of light bulbs out, the bottom of the shower tray kept coming apart & there are cobwebs in the lounge. This has not affected our stay. The neighbours have been friendly, 1 of them brought us a table and chairs to sit outside on.
We found Shee Dy Vea to be a very comfortable, home from home. The kitchen/ dining area is very well laid out and has lovely views across the bay. Island Escapes were very helpful to assist with booking and leave a very useful welcome pack. The bungalow is situated up a hill but very near to the town centre and all amenities, so this was not a problem at all.Would certainly stay here again.
My husband and I have just had a 4 day staycation at Surfside. The house was very well equipped with everything ( and more) that anyone would need. There was also lots of interesting books, DVDs and games - useful for rainy days. Great location for the beach and amenities. Would recommend this accommodation!
Fab cottage perfect for two in a very quiet street. Two up/two down with a small but lovely garden, perfect for breakfast in the sunshine. Kitchen very well equipped. Only feedback is some of the furnishings are a little dated, TV is not Smart and mattress is not comfortable for those with bad backs! Still would recommend this cottage, perfect location and we loved our stay. Lovely local extras on arrival.
A lovely place to stay - well equipped and super warm with underfloor heating. Wonderful.views of both countryside and sea. Close to amenities and the bus stop is conveniently located about 100M down the road. We stayed on a 'staycation' during the Xmas period as we couldnt go back home to Sussex to visit family and friends and it was well worth it, for a welcome change of scene. Will stay again if the borders remain as they are.
I was at Bwaane Twoaie by myself for two weeks isolating after returning from the mainland, so the property was too big really for one person but suited me perfectly. Its a beautiful part of the island and easy to get to the beach and for walks along the old railway line which was great in my second week. I would recommend it to relatives or friends coming to visit.
Everything was excellent, lovely house in a traditional farmhouse style and grounds in beautiful surroundings.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment has clearly been recently renovated and it’s very stylish and comfortable. It’s also a short walk to the Main Street of shops/restaurants as well as the prom. The apartment had been cleaned before our arrival a though perhaps a deeper clean was needed as some areas/corners were dusty
We needed a place to stay whilst self-isolating after being permitted to enter the Isle of Man on compassionate grounds. We booked this place on a Sunday for the Monday boat arrival. The directions and key arrangements were excellent and we soon got everything in and unpacked. There is a parking space at the rear of the property making this easy. Everything had been prepared for us perfectly. The apartment is very comfortable and the view from the front room is simply stunning. It's a five minute walk to the supermarket, and a similar walk down the hill into town or down to the prom. Islan...more
My son and I stayed at West View following a hospital appointment in the UK and had to self-isolate on return to IOM. It was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. It was comfortable and well equipped. We arrived in the evening and it took me a while to locate the instruction folder, which contained the wifi password. The wifi did cut out a couple of times, but was mostly reliable. I found instructions for the washer-drier, but none for the oven , the dishwasher, or the heating. I did find that it was cold in the middle of the day and would have liked to boost the heating at times. Overall we ...more
Overall a comfortable stay. The two single beds are very soft mattresses but the main double is very comfortable.
