Perfect holiday apartment- great location with views out across the bay to the castle. Well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable break.
We had a fantastic stay at Quilliams lodge. The property is first class - clean, tidy, beautifully designed and the attention to detail is apparent throughout. The host was exceptionally helpful and warming. The welcome pack on arrival was excellent and just what we needed after an afternoon flight as it saved us a trip into town. The property is well located - only 5/10 mins into town. The facilities are excellent with great parking and secure gates at the property. There is lots of space in this property and all rooms were well laid out and stocked with everything needed for a self ...more
Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. All you need has been supplied for a great stay. Comfy beds and seating.
Excellent, friendly, warm welcome from John and Shirley - ferry was over an hour late and they were both there to welcome us. House was warm and cosy and a welcome basket of goodies and some essential provisions in the fridge, lovely touches. There was high winds on the Sunday evening and both John and Shirley were up early the next morning to remove a branch that was blocking the road to enable us to get our vehicle out to catch the the early ferry - can't thank them enough. Lovely, lovely people. Will definitely stay there again.
Couldn't fault it. Amazing location , beautiful property , great hosts . Everything you could want .
John and Shirley have created a charming and generous atmosphere. It includes providing a fruit basket and welcome food pack on arrival. The cottage is spotlessly clean and comfortable and decorated with numerous Manx pieces. Their garden is sizeable with various nooks for relaxing in, including a fully weather proof tree house. You may want your own transport because the cottage is some way from the nearest shops. Numerous walks can be made from the cottage which is in farmland and near a nature reserve. We unreservedly recommend the cottage and its warm welcome.
An enjoyable stay at the pines. Excellent views of port erin. Accommodation superb. Would recommend the pines for an ideal stay in port erin.
We spent 5 days in Stovell and it was lovely. The house is clean, spacious and relaxing. It was quiet and there was a lovely outdoor area. There was a downstairs en-suite bedroom, which we appreciated. The communication was good. We would happily stay there again.
Great situation in scenic Port Erin. Frontignac another superb Island Escapes location. Sleeps 6 comfortably with room to spare for 2 more. Always well equipped, clean & well maintained. Got our eye on the up and coming renovation on the promenade for our next staycation Thanks all
Beautiful location for a weekend break. The cottage had everything we needed plus the added bonus of the sauna, sea swimming and fishing. Wonderful.
We really enjoyed our stay at Wisteria Cottage which is set in a wonderful location in beautiful extensive grounds. The cottage is attractively decorated and well stocked. We were very comfortable there and made good use of it as the weather was unsettled. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage. The owners live on site and couldn't have been more helpful.
The accommodation met all our expectations - it was spacious and clean and came with everything we required for our holiday. The only disadvantage is the location which is quite remote, so required use of a car most of the time to access other places, but we were aware of this when we booked.
The house was excellent, spotlessly, clean and in a quiet cul-de-sac. I would definitely stay here again.
Thie Fuinee was one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed at. There was everything we needed and more and it was so clean and comfortable. We arrived late after a 7 hour flight delay so the welcome pack of milk, bread, cheese, tea, coffee etc was really appreciated. The house has obviously been a very loved family home and thus all essentials and more are there. There is parking on the drive by the cottage but it’s best for just one car as the property next door shared the drive, that said there is ample parking on the road outside. There is also a bus stop right outside which is ...more
Stunning property in a fabulous location which enjoys stunning views. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay is available. The property is very tastefully appointed with lots of personal touches that make it feel welcoming and homely. We stayed for 3 nights for a family wedding but could have happily stayed for much longer. We will definitely return x
Having stayed at Elgin on a number of occasions with my husband, I decided to return for a girly break with my best friend. As expected our trip did not disappoint. Adrian & Lara made sure everything was just right for us upon arrival. It was wonderful to relax & enjoy a glass of bubbly in the hot tub with Adrian thoughtfully offering to light the log burner so the cottage was lovely & toasty for us. The perfect end to our visit was as a result of Lara’s recommendation for a mobile massage service provided by a lovely lady called Judith. Thank you so much (once again) for a wonderful weekend ...more
Brookville House was the perfect choice for a family gathering in the area where our ancestors came from. Spacious, well furnished and lovely well equipped kitchen it was home from home. The bedrooms were comfortable with stylish, modern bathrooms. Island Escapes dealt with the booking very professionally. Great location for visiting places on the island. One room overlooked the main road and was a bit noisy in the early morning but that was the only small negative.
A friend of my family said he was taking his family to the Manx Grand Prix, did we fancy it They where staying at Kirkmichael I hadn’t been since 1993 so got on island escapes and booked Ballarhennie House as it was the only house left available We arrived and wow what a place, absolutely stunning Lovely touches like tea, coffee milk and a loaf of bread etc there for when you arrive Absolutely spotless as well We met the owners of the house who live next door, charming people The beach is down a small path that’s a bit steep but ok if you take it easy If you’re in the iom for ...more
Myself and some family members stayed here for 5 nights for my daughters wedding. The house is stunning. Spotlessly clean and lovely comfy beds. Lots of room for everyone. The location right on the harbour front is perfect. Castletown is a lovely small town with easy access to other parts of the island. The steam train even stops there. My daughter got married in the castle just 2 minutes away, so absolutely perfect for my family.
First holiday on the IOM. We thought best location not only in Castletown but on the whole island. In the historical centre of Castletown with excellent public transport to see the whole island. Packet House itself is wonderful- refurbished to a very high standard with a second floor living room overlooking the harbour. Island Escapes were very helpful in arranging a slightly later checkout after a flight cancellation. Only slight niggle was lack of hanging racks for towels and wet outdoor clothing, but this didn’t detract from a very enjoyable stay.
A large, homely holiday property. Comfortable lounge, well equipped kitchen and utility. Bathrooms superb and the bedrooms extremely comfortable. The garden was second to none where we enjoyed a lovely glass of wine in the evenings. Very central for all attractions, yet on a peaceful cul-de-sac. The steam train stop at Colby is just 7 minutes walk from the property and The Shore restaurant is highly recommended and is just 5 minutes drive, with lovely views. Garey Beg has been very well thought out and we would love to return one day.
Imperial House is in a wonderful location, with marvellous views to the Castle. We were using public transport and the bus stop was within a 5 minute walk - the Bus Vannin Go Saver or Go Explore card is worth buying if you intend to use buses and trains to get around. The supermarket is also close by. We did a mixture of self catering and eating out. The kitchen is very well equipped. The kitchen ceiling beams might be a problem for those 6ft+ but we were fine. The house is comfortable and was lovely to return to after a day's walking. As well as good walking, there is also a lot to see ...more
100% recommend this property it’s close to everything you might need during your stay close enough to Douglas for the boats and even as a big group it’s very convenient and confortable you can definitely have your own space.
A lovely house and a warm welcome. The owner was on hand to welcome us when we arrived, and had laid on basic provisions for us. She couldn't have been nicer. The house was attractive and modern inside, and had everything our party of six needed. We were extremely comfortable. A great stay all round!
This was our third stay at Glen Chass, and it won't be the last. Went with my daughter and her grand-children. and the children love it. The views are fabulous, and the calves, rabbits etc. across the road, were a massive attraction for the chldren. The house is very comfortable, and although the kitchen is small, it has all you could possibly need..We will return!
What an amazing place, we couldn’t have wanted for anything and it was exceptionaly clean and well equipped! The welcome pack was fantastic with local produce and the host Roberta was lovely, Definitely will be going back Thankyou for a lovely stay
Fabulous house throughout. Up market feel to the house including furniture and decor. Loved our stay here and will return.
Traie Twoaie is an absolutely beautiful home with every possible thing you would need. Very handy and quiet location. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful weekend at this property. The house is spotless, warm and was very well equipped. My only gripe was that a more detailed inventory would be have handy, for example there was a Nespresso machine in the kitchen but no mention of it anywhere and I wouldn't have taken mine if I knew.
We are walkers and cyclists, and the Coach House suited our needs perfectly. There was a fully stocked kitchen, a lovely bathroom with shower and bath, and plenty of space to live in whilst there. We walked the coastline, walked Snaefell and also took a tram ride up Snaefell, dined out on the Steam Train, and cycled the heritage path from Peel to Douglas and back again. Took full advantage of the Manx National Heritage Site Holiday Pass - visiting the Laxey Wheel x 2, Manx Museum and Peel Castle.
By far the best holiday accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. The house interior has a really high end finish, every aspect has been thoroughly thought through. The beds were extremely comfortable and the living space is great. We instantly felt relaxed inside the house. The location is also lovely, we ate in the George pub and had a game of table tennis and played out in the square with our son. I had to pop into the Island Escapes office for something and they were super friendly and very accommodating. All in all an absolutely perfect stay for our short break, we will definitely be coming bac...more
Beautiful property which was spotlessly clean! The location is perfect. Also great service from Island Escapes.
Well equipped and lovely accommodation, unfortunately the double bed was very uncomfortable as the mattress was far to hard and I think it was a small double as it was not big enough.
This has been our second year staying at Brookeville Cottage and we find the location, parking and cottage excellent. We have now paid the deposit to stay there for next August being the third year running!!
Every thing was fine. clean & tidy.. 2 things needed attention & was rectified ASAP. A bread loaf, spreadable butter,& cheese was wating for us on arrival along with tea bags, coffee & milk.
Smashing place to stay. Quiet and set back a bit from the main town area. Made very welcome for our first ever visit to the IOM.
Tides Reach is the perfect location for exploring the Isle of Man. Spotlessly clean, neat and tidy with everything you could possibly need for your self catering stay. Very thoughtfully prepared for the arrival of the next guests with fresh milk, butter, cheese and bread, as well as biscuits, tea and coffee bags, sugar, salt and pepper. The only tiny negative for us was the softness of the bed, mattress topper & pillows. This is obviously a personal thing so I haven't knocked anything off the score. Excellent well stocked Co-op an 8 minute walk away, and The Shore Hotel at Gansey (30 mins ...more
We've stayed a few times in this pretty little cottage on the Harbour at Port St Mary. It's quite small for 4 people but the location makes it worth it. Love waking up to the gorgeous view of the harbour and ideally located for seeing our family who all live in the village. Would highly recommend.
The property is fantastic, I would just recommend that Island Escapes are better at communicating when questions are asked through the booking process.
Ballavoddan is a fantastic barn conversion, it a stunning countryside location it has everything you need for the perfect stay. Clean, quiet and modern but yet full of character. I come to the Isle of Man monthly for work and this is my go to place to stay.. Just hope it does get to popular that I cannot stay... It is perfect you will not be dissapointed !
Creggan is an ideal base to tour the Isle of Man, comfortable and well equipped, great to relax after a hard day sight seeing! Lovely place to wake up and enjoy the stunning views. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
We booked Eary Cushlin for a family holiday - we needed a large property to cope with three generations under one roof. It proved to be an ideal choice. The house is set in a truly stunning location, in a beautiful part of the island, alongside the coastal footpath, and is warm, comfortable, and very well appointed. There were lots of thoughtful touches which we really appreciated - for example, picnic rug, cool bag and flasks, which proved very useful. Thoroughly recommended.
Stunning barn conversion, immaculate inside with everything you need, set in a quite location overlooking fields.
We had a lovely week at 2 Sunnyside Terrace. It’s a beautiful, well kept, traditional cottage with great sea views. Everything we needed had been thought of and the garden was a very relaxing place to spend time. Laxey itself is lovely - well placed for Snaefell and only a short tram ride from Douglas. Handy parking just in front of the terrace - not as bad as we expected from earlier reviews - our 4x4 could fit no problem. We fully recommend La Mona Lisa in Laxey, the Harbour Kiosk in Peel and the Sound Cafe overlooking Calf of Man - all very quick service and great food. A great week.
As alway with the isle of man, from the welcome pack to the welcoming friendly people ever thing just as you want to have a relaxing and enjoyable time.
Beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated, had everything we could possibly need and to be welcomed with a pint of milk in the fridge (with chocs and biscuits too) was just so thoughtful. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. I have been recommending this cottage to everyone I know. Thank you for a truly wonderful couple of weeks, it was indeed a ‘home from home’.
Brilliant location, lovely hosts and amazing value for money in converted farmhouse. Farm cats were adorable, but are free to wonder around outside doors and windows so be careful if not fan of cats, but they were all adorable
Riverside cottage was delightful! This is a beautiful cosy cottage which is immaculate. It was the perfect location to start & finish the coastal path with the CP route being only 5 minutes walk away. Port St Mary is only a short walk away via public footpaths; it offers a great pub, lovely cafe & smashing fish & chip shop. We had a party of 6 plus 2 dogs. The cottage was the perfect size for us with a large secure garden for the dogs to sniff around. All in all we were delighted with Riverside cottage, Port St Mary & the Isle of Man, we had a great week & succeeded in walking around the i...more
This is a well situated and well equipped modern house close to all amenities. The beach is close by. The house was perfect for our extended family stay. Plenty of space and perfect for 6 adults and two children. Room for personal space and family time. It is nicely furnished and immaculately clean. Would highly recommend it!
The cottage was exceptional. Really clean and modern. Perfect position, especially for us, who had a family wedding at the castle. Liked the idea of the key box too, very easy.
We enjoyed our stay at 4 shore road, staying here with my family has been great it felt like home for my kids
We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay in this cottage which is beautifully designed, built and decorated. Wee look forward to a return visit next year
We loved staying here. It is spacious, comfortable, well decorated and has all the major and minor things an accommodation of this type requires. Looking forward to staying again very soon.
First time in the IoM so we didn’t know what to expect. We enjoyed our stay it’s a pity the weather wasn’t kinder. The cottage was a bit cold suggest the heating clock is activated. There was only one small cereal bowl and one of the cup had been broken by a previous occupier and had not been replaced.
The cottage 'Baljean' was excellent although it took a while for the under floor heating to get up to comfortable. Probably not normally an issue but the weather was poor and a bit chilly. We knew there was a log burner so had taken some logs with us. It quickly warmed the room and was very cosy. Would recommend that to anyone if going during the winter months.
I completed the feedback form there but everything was wonderful and we really appreciated the Welcome local bread, butter, milk and cheese.
Fantastic place to stay. It's a very quiet location but just a minute away from shops, sea, and the hisplaces of interest. The cottage is well equipped to a very high standard. We would defistay here again
Lovely cottage. Comfortable, cosy and clean. Very well equipped, although, no scissors!! A little walk required for parking the car, otherwise, the location was great.
Lovely cottage with all the facilities you need. Very peaceful location with no traffic noise. Nice welcome pack.
Super location and a nice, quiet cottage. A few minutes walk from the beach and a short drive to get to the hill walks. However, there are mice, so food needs to be packed away. There was also a damp smell coming from somewhere in the kitchen.
really enjoyed the area, locals were very friendly. great location as it was very quite with local walks and easy to get out and about. Nice Italian restaurant nearby and nice local crab available within 100 yards.
This cottage was perfect in every way for us, a short 5 night stay to visit family & friends. A welcoming warm and cosy feel as we entered the cottage, it had everything we required, the kitchen compact and a snug sitting room to relax in, very comfortable beds and the bathroom adequate, I did find the shower tricky to operate but put that down to my age and not being used to modern appliances! Great to have such good parking and loved the situation and quietness, a perfect, relaxing, restful place to stay. Would be more than happy to stay there next time we visit the Isle of Man. Thank you ...more
We had a good stay. The positives- secluded quiet spot, but only 2 miles to Peel. Good directions, easy to find. The not so good bits.. if there were 6 it may be quite noisy, as it has all lovely hardwood floors, but they were a bit echoey.. there wasn’t enough seating in the living room for 6, you could seat 4 with a couple on dining chairs. Not enough pans for cooking (1 pan really?) luckily we had read reviews and bought one with us. David the host was lovely and helpful but not intrusive. The sauna, gym and hot tub were a nice touch.
This is the second time we have stayed. All rooms are good size and lovely spacious living area. Well equipped kitchen. Really clean throughout and they have thoughts of everything. Lovely sea front location but need a car to visit here as quite a way from shops and restaurants. At times, it was cold but they responded well to our enquiry. New batteries needed in the scales provided. I would request that a multipurpose spray and some J cloths are provided. We were left with one little sponge to wash up and clean the work tops but it would have been nice, given we were staying Mon...more
Lovely big rooms, the larger bedroom has a very comfortable bed. Even in October the views were lovely with some spectacular waves! The bathrooms did smell a bit ‘musty’, but spotlessly clean. I will definitely return.
Well equipped and comfortable cottage. Lovely rear garden. Shower is a bit tight. The best customer service we have ever experienced. The people at Island Escapes go above and beyond. We already have a return booking.
Fantastic property in a beautiful setting. Owners very helpful, couldnt fault a thing Lovely gardens surrounding the property with lots of wildlife.
I had a great few days staying at The Milking Parlour. It is a beautiful 2 bed property with upside-down living so the views from the kitchen / diner / living area upstairs were cracking! Everything was so clean, the owner had left bread, butter and milk which was brilliant, and it's in a great location. There is no garden but a small seating area at the front in the driveway. However, there are loads of walks close-by so my dog and I thoroughly enjoyed Bradda Head, the beaches and the footpaths which you can get to from the house. If I was coming back, I would definitely stay here again.
The Bryer was great and had all we needed to relax. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. Hopefully we will return. The Anderson family and Island Escape were very helpful.
Lovely quaint old Cottage right on the sea front, perfectly situated for all amenities. Nice and comfortable with everything you need
West View is a beautiful old property that is well-equipped for any length stay. There are two floors, and stairs (as mentioned in the property description) that could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. We were able to navigate them without problems. The property is set back in a green area that is beautiful and quiet. It is also located right across the street from bus stops that can connect you almost anywhere on the Isle of Man, which was very convenient for our stay as we didn't hire a car. An excellent experience all around!
Mariners Cottage is a lovely old cottage , which lhas been tastefully extended and modernised. It is excellently placed, in the centre of Castletown , near the central square , castle and harbour. You can see the from the bedrooms . There is some outdoor seating and table too. The skylight and stable door at the back are nice features. I did have a few quibbles , which the owners and Island Escapes responded to very quickly. On the downside , I do think it very expensive. I also think providing no washing powder and only 3 dishwasher tabs , especially considering the cost of ren...more
On arrival I and looking at the outside of the property I did wonder what I had booked but… Once inside the accommodation had everything you could need in a good location. Decor and interior were finished to a high standard but the en-suite is small but then it is priced very comparatively.
The Lodge was ideally located for us just nicely out of Douglas but not too far from amenities, shops etc. The property was ideal a few minor things of note - nothing diabolical - the pillows on the beds could do with renewing, the kitchen tap needed a little maintenance - but overall a good property to stay in. The kitchen was very well equipped, the property was warm and comfortable and very clean. The welcome pack was very welcome especially if you were to arrive late. Overall a good stay.
The house was very spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The garden was big enough for the kids to play football and the house had everything we needed. The children liked having their own floor upstairs. The driveway was big enough for both cars and the bath was very nice. The shower was very powerful and hot, which was definitely appreciated. The bathroom downstairs had mould in the shower and one of the mattresses (rear room downstairs) was very uncomfortable. Initially the duvets were in the wrong covers which made them too small for the beds downstairs, but this was resol...more
Altogether a comfortable, attractive and well kitted out cottage . Our one glitch was the wi-fi which was very slow and contantly dropped off.
Magnificent location, spacious, very good kitchen equipment and AV provision, bedrooms and storage adequate, seating in main room uncomfortable, lighting inadequate particularly in main room. Rapid response to some lighting issues, although unresolved.
We really enjoyed our stay. Carrick Bay is in an excellent location in Port St Mary and has stunning views from the front windows. It is worth getting up early to watch the sunrise! It is near to shops, the Coop supermarket, cafes, the Albert pub and we had an excellent meal at The Boathouse. The spacious apartment is well equipped, TV in the lounge with Sky and a selection of DVDs, TV in each bedroom, well equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, washer dryer and coffee machine, comfy beds and adequate wardrobe space. The apartment was spotlessly clean and we loved the Manx produce left for ...more
Sea View is a lovely, beautifully furnished apartment that really lives up to its name with amazing views. It is very comfortable and was perfect for our needs. The apartment itself was very clean and well-equipped with everything you need including a coffee machine! It was perfectly located for me to get up in the morning and walk the dogs down the cliff path to the beach or alternatively to walk on the public footpath across the golf course. Beautiful views in all directions! Port Erin out of season is quiet but still offers enough for those of us not wanting night life! It made a gre...more
Shee Dy Vea is perfectly located in Port Erin. The views are exceptional and the property itself is great. The couple of concerns we had initially were immediately resolved by Island Escapes. The kitchen is huge and equipped with an upgraded gas oven/range. It also has a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The dining area is lovely and the upstairs provides amazing views. The full bath is large with a great shower, and our bed was very comfortable. Also, the washing machine works great. We highly recomnend this unit and you will be exceptionally pleased with the support you receive from Is...more
It is a lovely property to stay. It is exeptionally clean. The property is very comfortable and decorated and furnished to a high standard. Only thing lacking for us they could do with more pans in the kitchen, as we had to go out and buy one to cook our meal.
Fantastic location, lovely sea views, clean and comfortable. Great service too. We were very happy for our visiting guests.
This is the second I have booked the accommodation but won't again. The owner is renting on of the outhouses to builders who regularly collect drop off/collected equipment during my stay. The owners also spent 2 hours with their 2 dogs apparently cleaning and non essential repairs in the other property on a day they knew I was there with my dogs waiting for them to leave. It was only when I complained again to Paul that they left. I did not appreciate their intrusion in to my staycation escape. The other holiday makers did not cause me any issues just the owners and the builders!
This is the second time we have stayed at 8 Links Close and if we came back to the Island we would stay here again. The bungalow is in a quiet location in the lovely town of Port Erin and is comfortable and spacious. There was everything we needed. The bathroom has been decorated since our visit in April 2022. The heating has been upgraded and the tv is now a smart tv. We had a lovely welcome pack on arrival and the bungalow was clean. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.
The apartment was spotless , very well equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday and the welcome pack was marvellous . The hosts were very welcoming and in season do afternoon teas , which I’m sure would be delicious . You need to be able to climb stairs because although listed as a garden apartment , it’s not on the ground floor , the outdoor seating area was more of a courtyard . The apartment itself is over two floors , but is at the rear of the building. We didn’t have a car , but the area is served by an excellent bus service , at the top of the road and also...more
Just at the edge of the citycentre Little Have was a perfect place to explore the island from. It is quite spacious and comfortable enough to spend a day at home in case of bad weather. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Washer and dryer are new. There is a clear explanation present on how to use everything. We had a few questions, which were quickly answered per mail. Contact with Island Escapes is easy, friendly and swift.
Our family with 2 young children had a great week in the Isle of Man, exploring the whole island from our accommodation. The living area and kitchen combined meant we were all together, with nice window seats looking out. There is separate space to spread out and the balcony allowed us to eat outside a few times. It was nice to explore the fruit and pond in the garden and fields and see the hens and ducks. Would be happy to return here, because we definitely want to visit the Island again.
Comfortable stay in lovely surroundings. The house was clean and comfortable and well-provisioned. Lovely old farmhouse with many original features. The Aga-style range in the kitchen kept the house warm. Plenty of walks from the door to The Ayers - our dog enjoyed herself. Thank you
House conveniently situated for beach and basic shops. Others have commented on the stairs and they do need extra care. Parking often not possible by the house. Peel is a quaint town with plenty of opportunities to walk a dog. The Isle of Man is generally dog friendly.
We had a lovely stay. Family very friendly and accommodating. Lot of local history around the farm and area about 1WW.
Generally a comfortable property tucked away about 50 yards from the seafront. Very handy for exploring Peel. Master bedroom is a bit tight getting round the foot of the bed - removing the tv would help! The properties round in the street are generally unloved but inside you basically have all you need for a self-catering stay. Peel beach, castle and museums are excellent. Peel Hill well worth the climb. Creek Inn and The Boatyard good for dining.
Scenic view apartment has had a new carpet since our last stay, which is nice although the red sofa and chairs could do with being updated. The beds are comfortable and the shower is a nice pressure. The only negative is the kitchen unit lights are linked to the noisy extractor fan which is a shame as those lights are nice to have in in the evening and the hallway still has a slightly musty smell. However I would recommend this apartment as it is only a short walk from the shops and beach and overlooks the golf course.
Had a lovely stay at this property. Very clean and tidy, comfortable beds and had everything we needed. Bath was also much larger than it appears in the pictures whoch was a bonus. There is no parking outside the property but had no issue with finding on street parking nearby. Would advise anyone coming by car to come from Park Road end as the other end of the road is very narrow with tight bends. Would happily stay again if we return.
I filled in the paper feedback at the cottage too Everything about the holiday was fine but as we don't use SatNav more details about finding the IOMSPC dock in Liverpool would have been helpful Once you are near the Waterfront it is hopeless and we found the Crowne Plaza, had a bite and you then have some discount on the carpark. Crowne plaza is just by the dock Island Escapes organising the ferry and hotel was really appreciated and we were delighted with the Ascot (so much so we returned there for b'fast before the ferry home!)
Location was good, easy to get everywhere, I feel the property needs a little updating, especially the shower and also needs an extractor fan in the bathroom to help get the dampness out. The property is equipped well enough it just feels a bit tired and dated.
Good location with short distance to town square for shops and Hotel/ Food. Small cottage on Mill Road, no parking outside. (Nearby roads can be used 5-10 minutes walk) Ideal to experience a Manx cottage for 2 people. Not very comfortable small double bed with lumpy pillows. No electric shaver point in bathroom (Needed to request a 2 pin adaptor plug from office in Castletown) Soft seats in lounge sofa. Very well equipped kitchen appliances and tableware etc. Garden overgrown - Weeds, needs maintenance.
Lovely little cottage, beautifully and sympathetically decorated with traditional and up cycled furniture and clever touches of home. Load of hot water, cosy and warm with quirky features such as the bath in the bedroom! Suited us perfectly, but if anybody has mobility issues or is over 6ft the bath/bedroom could be a problem, but this is clearly stated on the booking info.
