We had a three night stay with our 8 year old grand child, with a cloud free night over the sand dunes we could see the stars so well (very little light pollution). The accommodation was warm and comfortable and the little welcome pack was a nice touch. All staff friendly and helpful as always, looking forward to our week long stay in the summer with all of the family.

Our second visit and we chose the same roundhouse as last year! Great location, lovely accommodation and our spaniel settles well here. It has everything we need for our break and we shall be back again another day with our dog. Great access to the dune and the beach to walk her. Thank you!
Excellent all round, clean, has everything we needed, warm and cosy. Location great. Even the weather was kind. Just perfect.
We stayed as a family of 5 and there was amble space! Rooms were all very clean and had been nicely updated. The garden was also lovely just didn’t use it at this time of year. Great location right next to the beach! We also had dinner at the restaurant which was great, a big selection and reasonably priced.
We originally were staying in a double roundhouse but situations changed and Hermanus very kindly allowed us to swap to a single. Having wanted to stay here for over 40 yrs it was as lovely as I had imagined. The houses are very well maintained and had everything we needed. Being directly opposite the beach was perfect. Would100% return. Thank you Hermanus
Can't really say much only BRILLIANT as usual!!!!! Thats why we keep coming back clean comfortable amazing views quiet relaxing and cheap for what you get and the carvery on Sunday is 10 out of 10
A beautiful setting with fantastic views . The roundhouses are very cute and cosy , ideal for a relaxed romantic escape .
Staff friendly, helpful, excellent as usual huge added bonus this stay was the seal pups. Wonderful as usual to explore the heath and the dunes, hats off to all the seal wardens who look after the pups and the visitors. Hermanus made the restaurant and the bar beautifully Christmasy, staying here always feels like coming home. Many thanks to ALL staff those on the front line and those in the background that make the stay comfortable and a pleasant experience.
My February 3 night stay in the blue roundhouse number 17 was excellent. The views from the bedroom are wonderful and I was as warm as toast in there looking out over the dunes and sea. Everything was a good standard, apart from the WiFi which was sporadic. I used the little fan heater once in the evening, but generally I was warm enough. The onsite Sunday carvery was really marvellous, and my vegetarian option came with vege gravy and separately cooked potatoes. It was a well presented thoughtful meal. I will definitely come again out of season.
A great place to stay right next to the beach & 15min drive from the amazing seal colony. Bungalows are comfortable & well appointed.
The roundhouse has panoramic views of the sea and valley. It is very relaxing. We really enjoyed the Sunday carvery in the restaurant. I was very disappointed that we had no Wifi, we reported this problem to reception a couple of times.
This is our 11th year staying at hermanus. The size of the accomodation is perfect for us and winterton is a beautiful village. We do miss the games room though!! The decor is tired but it is great to be able to bring the dog.

I’ve stayed here several times before, it’s a great place to stay on the coast. Accommodation was excellent & the village has everything you need.
This is our 3rd year @the rollers, we enjoy the view & comfort that the rollers gives us, we like the new chairs & we find the beds comfortable, kitchen has all you need, we will be back next year
This is our fourth visit to Hermanus lovel place to have a short break.The roundhouses are very cozy and spotlessly clean.
Another wonderful stay in Mirth. For us it’s the perfect location for long beach walks and cosy pub lunches. See you again at Easter
The fridge was a little unclean. I think a tea towel should be provided. The sofa also smelt quite sweaty! We have stayed in a double roundhouse in the past and this seemed to be a better standard. We were also tucked away from everything.
A very well equipped and comfortable roundhouse. Everything you need was provided except your own towels and a nice little welcome pack was left out for us. The view was totally fabulous and we had a great break!
I have been holidaying here now, usually twice a year for the last 10 years and can't fault it. Great location, friendly staff and accommodation that suits our family of 4 and 2 dogs with everything we need. Better still, we arrived this time to find our chalet had been completely re-vamped to a high standard. As usual on our visit we enjoyed the great Sunday Carvery, (a must whilst your here!) and several other evenings in the restaurant, all at very competitive pricing. Already booked again!
We really enjoyed our half term stay at Hermanus, accommodation nicely modernised, great location with direct access to the dunes and beach and 2 min walk to the Fishermans Return pub. Very quiet and easy to park outside to unload and short walk up to main car park. Would have liked a few more plates and cutlery but otherwise well equipped

Stayed in one of the newly renovated chalets, nice and spacious, well equipped and nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and we were able to take our doggie in the lounge, which when we visited a few years ago you couldn't take dogs in. This is a big improvement. Had a nice meal in the restaurant there as well ☺️ All in all a lovely stay, just wish we'd stayed longer. Looking forward to returning again soon. Many thanks

Always stay with Hermanus when visiting, accommodation is excellent, clean and comfortable, nice and warm and cosy. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Only small niggle perhaps is the WiFi, very poor signal. You can buy a voucher for better WiFi but given usually this is included we decided against it. Otherwise a really nice break, look forward to returning soon ☺️
The cottage was very clean and tidy and welcome pack was appreciated. The only thing we felt missing was a tea towel. I knew to bring towels but hadnt registered i needed a tea towel as well. It might have been nice to have some books or board games but we were only there 2 nights and should have remembered to bring something to entertain ourselves!
Absolutely loved this bungalow, beautifully decorated and comfy beds. Being able to get down to the beach so quickly was great. We will certainly be back!
Only one issue . Security light on property opposite goes on and off all night, as there was no blind or curtains on the door this disturbed us and our sleep.
As always, good value, fair price and chalet well looked after. The chalet has been updated and is lovely. Again, as always, the Hermanus Team are top people, right from booking, through the stay, and when leaving. They do their best to help and make the stay enjoyable. Thank you. See you next year.

I have stayed with Hermanus numerous times over the last 12 years in most of the roundhouses. Cosy, quaint and so near the sea. The seal pups are arriving daily - over 1080 so far which are magical to watch The village of Winterton-on-sea is my favorite place and the local pub great too ! The staff are helpful- my friend had a broken ankle so they had to relocate us so she didn't have to negotiate a curb on her frame
We had a fabulous stay at Dawn on the Hermanus site. The location is perfect. Dawn was very comfortable.
Arrived during the heatwave. Upstairs was very hot as blinds and curtains had been left open and we arrived late afternoon. There were no fans. Both toilets were downstairs and all 3 bedrooms upstairs, an issue for me in particular. No hairdryer or bedside lamps. Otherwise agreeably impressed with very high standard of cleanliness and furnishings. Pool heated?? I don’t think so
Amazing all round - highly recommend. Loved walking down to the dunes with the dog every morning. The village is beautiful too.
