Lovely apartment furnished to a high standard - fantastic views, comfortable beds. The wine and chocolate were a welcome treat. Had a great stay and Ross made everything easy.
Great place to stay, we have been coming to the lakes for years, this is the best accommodation we have stayed in windermere.
We loved our stay ! Very clean and comfortable with great facilities for a large party. We were accomodated at the last minute due to being unhappy with our original booked property and Ross was extremely helpful - making sure that oaklands was clean and prepared for us at the last minute. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or book this property again Would have loved a hot tub but this didn’t detract from us having a great time !
We had a wonderful stay with Tarn & Fell Escapes. Nothing was too much trouble, offering highchairs/cots for our children. The cottage was beautiful, every detail thought of and very clean! We will definitely book with Tarn and Fell Escapes again! Thank you!
Fantastic stay in this top floor apartment which has recently been renovated. Very well equipped with everything you could think of to enjoy your stay. Excellent location in the heart of Ambleside with lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Would highly recommend.
Our stay at Pottery Gate was just perfect from start to finish. On arrival it was cosy and warm and all decorated for Christmas so very festive. Everything and more was catered for to make our little holiday lovely and comfortable. Not even the rain could spoil our stay and we enjoyed it so much we've booked it again! Also nothing was too much trouble for Ross. Friendly, helpful and professional as always.
Fantastic stay at Smithy Cottage, a lovely cosy property which was very clean and tidy and well equipped. Location was great as close to all amenities. My only feedback would be parking, could do with a second permit as house sleeps 6 people and that's 2 cars, so parking was costly for my daughter for a week. Carparking was only a short walk from the cottage so no problem. Surprised that not all windows upstairs were able to be opened, including the bathroom and one of the bedrooms, would have liked some fresh air in the morning and for ventilation, but imagine its the age of the property....more
The property was in a great location for peace and tranquillity and the access to the lake provided the icing on the cake!
Not sure how long it is since this barn was renovated, but it is in beautiful condition, ideally situated in a quiet area and in wonderful condition. Spotlessly clean on arrival, it has everything you will need to make your holiday stay an enjoyable one. Would absolutely think about booking this accommodation again if looking to stay in this area.
Lovely accommodation and a great location. There was everything you needed in the cottage to make your stay home from home. A peaceful park and very well maintained and looked after. The owner were very helpful. We would also recommend Tarn & Fell Escapes, for your holiday home rental in the Lakes, the commutation was excellent.
Myself, my parents and my two teenagers stayed in Firgarth Lodge for the past week. The lodge is in a lovely quiet position. Our dog was allowed to stay too and he enjoyed many walks to the lake side and around the park. The lodge inside has everything you need for a week's holiday. A lot of time and effort must be put inside the lodge to keep it the way it is. The brand new hot tub is lovely and very warm. A wee bit of TLC on the decking to keep up with the inside of the property would make it perfect. Very small things like the outdoor table needing washed and the plastic hanging baskets nee...more
