The property is perfectly positioned for proximity to the town and local shops and restaurants. We love the beachfront location which allows regular dips in the sea and beautiful views especially from the master bedroom. We’ll definitely be booking again. More comfy dining chairs would be appreciated but definitely wouldn’t put us off a return visit!
,we stayed during the june heatwave and the property was perfect for keeping cool and the perfect location for shopping and the beach.the snug is a real home from home, loved our two week stay.
A very clean, comfortable, well fitted modern bungalow, close to the shops and beach. It also has a very tidy small rear garden, facing south.
Back for our second stay in this amazing house in an amazing location, sadly it was only for 1 week but we will be returning for a longer stay in September, it is so popular we were lucky to get any time booked at this property. The location is perfect with amazing views across Bookers Green out to sea, whatever the weather it is lovely just to sit & relax in the upstairs lounge. The shops & restaurants are only a 5min walk away & there are plenty of local walks along the coastal path to Bracklesham Bay or West Wittering. Thank you for the lovely flowers, they were beautiful.
Great location, great property, great weather, perfect for family time at our favourite holiday place!
First visit to Seashells and it won’t be our last! Fantastic location very close to the centre, super facilities lovely enclosed dog friendly garden. Great cooking facilities, comfy beds and overall a great experience. The owners have clearly put a lot of love into the property and have provided everything you would need to have a relaxing week by the sea. Thank you Coffey family x
I have stayed before and really enjoyed it, however, did notice the minimal supply of cleaning accessories. No kitchen roll, no j cloths and very little toilet roll. If you are just staying for 3 nights then surely there should be enough. We had an infant with us and there were no fans. Luckily we took one and managed for the infant room. It was just stifling. We didn’t sleep at all. We understand that the weather conditions weren’t the owners responsibility, but feel we should say for the benefit if any further guests that this should become a basic addition. Fans had sold out everywhere and...more
Our stay at Sunnyside was fabulous and we would highly recommend the property. The outside facilities were very much enjoyed by us all.
Lovely apartment, and well equipped kitchen. Bottle of wine in the fridge was nice. Lovely sea view, access straight onto the beach. Was lovely hearing the waves and getting up every morning to the sea view. We had amazing sunny warm weather all week. The only negatives were they could do with blackout curtains in the bedroom as we got woken by the sun about 5am. Only about half a toilet roll in the bathroom on arrival. No kitchen towel in the kitchen, though not everywhere provides this. Parking inside the gates, was a bit tight, and busy, but we always managed to get a space.Overall we had ...more
This property is like a home from home. We have rented this property every year for the last 5 years and look forward to returning each year. Three generations each visit and All ages have a great time. I would recommend this property
Tamarisk Cottage is beautiful and in an amazing position at East Wittering. It is very well equipped inside the house. It is in desperate need of the windows being repaired as most are rotten and unable to open. Also the back door is rotten. Also an improvement of the back gate entrance to the beach side. It is difficult to manoeuvre a push chair/wheelchair over an old piece of wood.
A very nice bungalow to stay for a few nights away if you want to explore the Witterings and Chichester. It is ideal for an elderly person with a well equipped kitchen. However a few points we feel need attention, as follows: Quite a few of the holes in the shower rose heads in both bathrooms were blocked and could do with a good descaling in order to provide a proper showering experience. The TV sound clarity was really quite poor so difficult to hear the dialogue so with the sound turned right up, the music was far too loud. We had lovely June weather which was so nice and it w...more
I liked the style of the apartment, really nice kitchen and bathroom. Well equipped kitchen. Amazing views and weather again. Really enjoyed staying here. Only downside was the bed was far too soft for our backs. I would recommend this apartment if you are ok with a softer mattress.
Unfortunately we experienced gale force 10 winds and stormy seas, but as always the family were all very happy to be sharing time together in a lovely house. I would recommend the house to other people, although I would rather keep it special for our family.
Sula cottage was very functional but not too cosy. Needed a few comfortable armchairs to sink into of an evening to read or watch TV ( a bean bag didn’t do it for us, but comedy gold watching my husband trying to get out of it!!) The kitchen needed a few more wine glasses and new mugs would have been good AND a teapot would have been great too! But overall, very neat and tidy in a superb location of walking distance Wittering beach and a village pub. Perfect for a long weekend!
A delightful week, the family all eager to return next year. The layout of The Breeze ideal for our famliy on 6 aged 7 -77. Just wish we could bring the dog too.
It was our second time staying at 4 Elms Way. We are a family of 6 adults and two small children. The property is light and spacious, with a large, secure garden. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and there's a washing machine and dryer. We had a couple of issues that needed attention, but Bailey's were very efficient in getting these sorted out. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach. With both children in pushchairs that's no problem. Recommended.
We love Cockle Beach House & the Witterings perfect for all the family over the last 4 years. Thank you
Our third booking with Baileys staying in one of their holiday lets….excellent service throughout. Our flat was bright and comfortable ..we always love the stunning views of the sea and for the third year running had great weather for the week. Just a 5 min drive to east wittering village with its selection of Independant shops and small supermarket options. Our first ports of call are the fisherman’s hut and the village bakery followed by the Cat & Rabbit charity shops where great bargains were had. I’m sure we will return again next year ..until then it’s back home to the heatwave sadly.
Great property with lovely garden. Spacious inside and out and ideal for local amenities. Gladly recommend this property.
We were fortunate enough to book 9 nights. The house is well equipped, has plenty of space, comfortable beds, a huge eat in kitchen and a fantastic garden. The house is a right by the creek and is perfect for swimming at high tide and paddle boarding.
This holiday let was perfect for us - great location, really lovely holiday home set up Would stay here again
Have stayed at Solent Road many times. It’s a lovely comfortable house, well equipped and near to the beach. Owners have made this house very welcoming. Lovely stay here as always
Repeat booking, convenient location, well thought out internal design and great to see a few upgrades to the property (new flooring) this year.
Stayed at 5 Coastguard Cottages with my son, daughter in law and. two grandsons to celebrate my 80th birthday. I was born in Wittering and my brother used to have a boat just near and go sea fishing. My aunt rented one of the cottages many years ago as well, so I know the area. We all loved the cottage and I had the wash house, seeing as it was my special birthday! Fabulous place, loads of character and beautifully decorated, very stylish and practical. We were lucky with the weather and walked to East Head, went into Chichester and had Sunday lunch in ‘The Lamb’ inn. Would love to stay t...more
A traditional little cottage with everything we required included. Lots of basics such as a few dishwasher tabs, condiments, surface cleaner etc. The beds were very comfortable, with loads of pillows. The area is just amazing, so many places to wander to and a lovely walk to the fab sandy beach. It’s about a ten min walk to the rest of the village with a small shop, coffee house, pub and butchers. A great bus service takes you on a 5min trip to all the shops and beach of East Wittering and the further on to the amazing town of Chichester, well worth a visit. On the negative side I did find t...more
Lovely flat in an excellent location, great views. Comfortable with everything you need. Unfortunately the single beds are very very uncomfortable. You can see & feel the springs, not good for older children or adults. We have been coming for years & love East Wittering
We returned with friends for our fourth long weekend at Saltwater. The beachfront location with sheltered garden was again perfect for us, helped by fantastic weather!
Lovely light spacious house in good location. Suspect would be too hot in heatwave as no blinds or shade. WIFI can barely cope with one computer and dipped in and out.
This is the 3rd time we have booked this property and again we found it well equipped, warm and comfortable. Parking for 2/3 cars and we liked the new resin drive. There is a good size back garden for the grandchildren to play in. Location great only a few minutes walk to the beach. Only a couple of points I notice that the blind in the twin room upstairs is still not fixed. Despite the note saying a new blind is awaited but 3 years and still not fixed!! Also just a suggestion in the kitchen it would helpful to have a recycling bin or a dual rubbish and recycling bin. This house is now our...more
We recommend this lovely apartment. The beds are comfortable- the view is amazing and its just lovely thank you
Ideally placed and clean enough, some parts a little dated, garden could do with a trim.TV a little small and no dvd player. Good value though and minutes from the beach.Hope to be back.
Jaknelee is a chalet bungalow in a pleasant spot, down a quiet lane, clean and tidy, close to the beach, a little further to the village shops. There are a few places for drinking and eating out in East Wittering. If you like walking plenty of country walks around. Stuart from Hampshire stayed at Jaknelee, West Wittering for 7 nights in June/July 2026
This holiday bungalow is lovely and spacious, with tons of character. It is just 5 minutes walk from East Wittering shops and the beach, yet it feels quiet and peaceful. We found the place very clean and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you'll need. There's a big garden and a large covered porch area, perfect for outside dining out on a sunny evening. The only downsides are the lack of a modern shower and no WiFi so we had to manage with phone hotspots etc.
