This was our second year at Fairhaven and we have already booked for next year. This year we needed wheelchair access. An accessibility statement and ramps, provided by the owner, made the visit not only possible but pleasureable. The location is stunning. The house is warm, clean and comfortable. Every need has been provided for. The gorgeous weather was a real bonus too! Thank you all.
Beautiful beach front Flat. Ideal for a getaway for two. Secure parking Fossiling and a short walk to Billy's for Breakfast Lunch or Dinner. And the view is Stunning with amazing sunsets
We had a lovely stay at Seascape. The flat is spacious and the views are amazing. The team at Baileys were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
We (2 adults, 3 kids) had a really lovely stay at this property. The property is located in a great position near West Wittering, and East Wittering also very close by. From the property it is a simple walk to the beach (useful with 3 small kids). The kids loved the garden and the summer house. We'd definitely stay here again.
All good. Well equipped kitchen - very comfortable all round. Only thing missing was ice tray for cold drinks...small worktop freezer would be enough
A great find. A lovely property, very clean, very modern, wonderfully equipped and beds were great. Felt at home the minute we walked in. The garden was lovely, a real sun trap. Location is great, 3 minute walk to shops, 5 minutes to beach. Good assortment of shops and places to eat.Highly recommend this property, we will definitely be back. The only tiny negative is if there is 4 adults sharing the property you would struggle to seat all on the sofa.
The house is absolutely amazing..it's so well equipped and had everything a family needed. My daughter loved the garden and toy cupboard. We had a great stay. It was very comfortable and spacious. It's right next to the beach only a 5 mins walk away. East Wittering was about 20 mins away.Would appreciate a blind on the master bedroom velux window, otherwise perfect house. Highly recommended.
Fantastic apartment, wonderful views of the beach with its multitude of activities. New addition of bistro table and high chairs on the balcony was a brilliant idea. Already booked for next year.
Great location for family young and old Good facilities and well cared for Very comfortable in all respects - beds, kitchen facilities and equipment provided Quick and courteous service from Baileys We hope to return
Great stay again. I do not want to write 100 words as this very annoying site demands! Please do not put prices up again.
As above but very expensive when compared with the rental charge paid in 2019 and previous years for the same property. Even allowing for improvements and the affect of inflation (low) plus Covid.
We enjoyed a great week’s holiday in a very comfortable, clean house, close to the beach and shops and fabulous places to visit
Myself and my family including two small grandchildren and a little dog stayed for a week. We had a fabulous relaxing week. The property is amazing - spacious and modern with plenty of room for all of us. All the facilities were very good and the garden was secure for the little dog. The beds were comfortable and the en-suite shower was wonderful. The location was walking distance to the beach which we enjoyed every day. Both East Wittering and Bracklesham Bay were within walking distance and provided good running routes and sea swimming. We enjoyed staying at this property an...more
We’ve stayed at a lost of East Wittering properties over the years but this one is a real gem. It is SO close to the beach but because it is tucked just down on a side road you have quiet and privacy. The house is great - clean, big and comfy. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
Dolphins is a beautiful venue to stay at, in a wonderful location, close to the water at Roman Landing. Our recent stay (September) was a great improvement from when we stayed back in July (we arrived to find the owner's in-laws still there, plus it was dirty inside - no professional clean had taken place)... This time however a HUGE improvement - the inside looked and smelt clean and fresh. We had a lovely week and were very lucky as had blue sky and sunshine each day. Only two suggestions for improvement is 1. for the sofas, day sofas and armchair to be replaced. These all feel and look old,...more
A great place to stay - right on the beach and 20 min walk to the strip of shops and restaurants at East Wittering. The flat is lovely and bright and we love sitting in the window watching the sea.
It’s a large clean and comfortable house in a good location, represents good value for money in West Wittering. The kitchen is well stocked and laid out, the utility room is useful, but the property would benefit from a place outdoors to dry washing. The lounge is very comfortable, the bedrooms are a good size and have plenty of storage space. It’s really nice to have good quality outdoor furniture and even some sun loungers. The porch at the front is great for storing beach stuff. Unfortunately it also has a playground for a caravan site located directly behind the garden and so it can be ...more
A lovely cottage which is fully equipped and close to the beach. In an ideal location if you want to explore the area. Great if you have a dog as the garden is fully enclosed. The cottage is quite compact but the three of us were very comfortable. Will definitely rebook.
Turritella is perfectly positioned on the beach. It is also very spacious and can easily accommodate a large group in comfort. Very practical layout and the roof terrace is brilliant.
October visit 2021. Television aerial needs attention as picture pixelates whenever there is bad weather. Unable to sign in to our Netflix account. Parking difficult in gated community. No exit interview from Baileys. Otherwise a lovely stay. Many thanks .
Very clean, comfortable flat with amazing views across to the Isle of Wight. Also, all the amenities of East Wittering within walking distance. We will definitely be returning.
We stayed at sea shanty for a week. It’s a great property Close to the beach and has everything you need to enjoy a week away. Highly recommend.
What can I say, what a wonderful property. I really can’t find fault, everything was lovely. It really felt like a home, comfortable and well thought out. Owning a holiday let myself this is the first place I’ve stayed in where attention to detail matched my own. Location was wonderful with only a short walk to the stunning beach. The only thing I would change is to have a larger TV, but maybe that says more about us. Plenty of books to read! Also felt Covid safe.
We loved our stay at The Rife, location was ideal 5 minutes from sea and shops. A very peaceful and comfortable house
We had a fabulous week at The Moorings (family of four and our dog). The location of the first floor flat is perfect with it being right on the beachfront and seconds away from the village's cafes, restaurants and shops. This made it really easy and safe for our teens to come and go as they pleased. The proximity to the sea meant we could swim and paddle board whenever we fancied it and we loved the walks along to Bracklesham, West Wittering beach and East Head at high tide. The views from the living room are stunning and the balcony was a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by with ...more
It's always a delight to get away and relax at The Witterings. We've stayed many times at 5 Seagate Court over the years and although the decoration and furnishings are starting to look a little tired, it is still a wonderful place to stay and relax, particularly with its magnificent sea views.
Staying at Tip Top was a delight. It is a lovely venue which caters for all eventualities. We would highly recommend it.
We have been trying to book a weeks holiday at Coastguard Cottages for 2-3 years because they are in a perfect location for both coast and country with East Head a 10minute walk in this area of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage itself was traditionally furnished but with all of the ‘mod cons’ you need. The cottage garden is a lovely quiet area to sit and chat in the evening over a glass of wine. The only drawbacks are that the toilet/bathroom is downstairs and the shower is hand held over the bath which makes it difficult for anyone with mobility problems. I would also recommend guests t...more
We had a wonderful time and everything about the house worked very well. The garden was beautiful and it’s location is perfect.
Quiet road. Comfortable beds. House has everything for your needs. Dog friendly. 15 minutes walk to the beach. Nice butchers shop and news agent, ice cream shop around the corner. Would definitely stay at Locksash again.
I have already listed for Bailey's the broken and worn items that need replacing (e.g. leaking kettle). Kitchen cupboards/drawers are stocked to overflowing so that so many utensils cannot possibly be checked for being cleaned to a high standard. I would recommend this property once it has had a makeover.
Have stayed here previously and rebooked for 2022, would have scored excellent for each each section and only dropped to 4/5 for condition due to the slightly tired and (for me) uncomfortable sofa and upholstered seating in the lounge. A minor heating glitch was swiftly sorted by both Baileys and the very helpful owner.
We had a lovely stay at Cockle Beach house thank you. The house was bigger than expected which was a bonus. I think the cleaning job prior to our arrival could have been done better, especially in the Kitchen - one cupboard was full of cake wrappers and some half-eaten packets, other cupboards needing cleaning out, the dining table was sticky and much of the crockery needed washing before use. Also the fridge had a leak in the week as water had been collecting at the back of one of the bottom shelves and the dishwasher wasn't working properly as it had no salt in it. We had a few other issues...more
Bijou! Beautifully clean. Lovely little welcome pack. Shame the bathroom is next to the kitchen area and not in the bedroom. The sofa is extremely uncomfortable. The wooden frame has no padding left and we resorted to using the garden chairs from the balcony. Something outside to attach the bins to would be helpful too.
We very much enjoyed the position of the property and it was a lovely, light space in the daytime, but let down by very poor lighting once it got dark. The furnishings didn't live up to the price of the property compared to similar ones....and while the obscure glass on the balcony was great for privacy it also successfully obscured any view, so hopes of relaxing on the balcony enjoying the view were inevitably disappointed. Tried to raise a number of maintenance issues with the lettings agent but apparently used the 'wrong' email address, even though it was one given on the web-site....not ve...more
Saltwater is in an excellent position. But, if the beach huts in front are being used ‘direct access’ is severely curtailed. The house needs ‘upgrading’ and the Aga makes the kitchen extremely hot nor is it very conducive to ‘holiday ‘ cooking. If the weather had been hotter, we would have roasted. This also causes dangerously hot water in the bathrooms. As we were unable to book ‘holiday cleaning’, I would suggest a working vacuum cleaner and broom should be supplied. It was disappointing that the ‘linen change’ was left at the front door.
Location great, house and garden need some TLC. VFM at the moment but does not warrant price increase from 2022.
Amazing views with fab location. Meets the needs of a family wanting a beach break. The nearby beaches are super clean, with amazing facilities.
My daughter submitted comments relating to 9 Ella Close to Bailey's estate agent when returning the house keys. I cannot comment on the property as my husband and I were unable to stay at this property with members of our family, because he had only just been discharged from hospital, being an in patient for 9 weeks. We are currently unable to make plans for summer 2022 because of his continuing ill health. Averil Baulch
bungalow was in perfect position, garden requires tidying, washing line was u/s. dvd player could be temperamental. All in all very enjoyable.
We loved the location and the “quirkiness” of the house. Great private garden. There were very limited number of windows that opened in the house which made it very difficult to air the house. When we arrived the house smelt musty which was very difficult to get rid of. There is a hand held shower - the owners are wasting a lot of money on hot water while people attempt to get the temperature right for the shower and a lot of water wasted. The shower would not stay on the wall. An electric shower would probably pay for itself quickly. The carpet in the double bedroom needs to be c...more
A great location with stunning views, especially from the master bedroom. Easy access to the beach, and loved the private area overlooking the beech with quirky seating and a firepit. To make the stay even better, additional comfortable seating would help as there was not enough for 8 people, without using chairs brought in from the outside. Some of the outside furniture was a bid dodgy. The different levels made the property an interesting one, but not so good for toddlers or older people. The oven was a challenge and really needs to have numbers on the oven to know what level heat it i...more
Our second visit we where hoping that the condition of the house and garden would have improved since last year but no such luck. Bathroom and living room flooring could do with replacing and a tidy up of the garden would make it almost perfect Cleanliness could also do with improvement cooking utensils and were cooker were very grubby. Found two mouldy cabbages and a bag of sprouting potatoes in a cupboard.
We were somewhat disappointed with the property. It was very basic - more shabby than shabby-chic. It was not very well equipped. There were no information leaflets about places to go to in the area, or any maps (was this due to Covid?). For us, as "oldies", the settees and bed were far too low. The flush on the toilet broke during our stay, but we phoned Baileys and it was promptly repaired. Both the front and back gardens were overgrown with weeds. We could not sit out in the back garden. We have rented many holiday cottages over the years, and for the money we paid, we had expecte...more
