Great destination well equipped flat. Peaceful and quiet location. Easy walking distance to Billy's for great seafood.
We have just spent a weeks holiday at Fairhaven for the 3rd year running. Our family love this house. The balcony had wonderful sea views there are two spacious lounges and a large dining table inside and further great seating in the garden. The position is excellent. The children played in the garden and on the green sward as well as the beach.
Would recommend this property, very close to the beach, has parking and well maintained. We will be back. .
We (2 adults, 3 kids) had a really lovely stay at this property. The property is located in a great position near West Wittering, and East Wittering also very close by. From the property it is a simple walk to the beach (useful with 3 small kids). The kids loved the garden and the summer house. We'd definitely stay here again.
A very comfortable bungalow in which you can relax and take in the sea air. It has everything you need for your stay to make it enjoyable.
My mother used to live in the same block of flats, so it has been 20 years since i stayed in Wittering. I knew the flat we had booked although never been in the flat. there is a sea view from every window, the Kitchen window being the best surprise. To make my toast looking out to sea was something different. We loved the swivel arm chair, claimed by my husband as his spot to sit. We also loved the fact that everything was colour coordinated, with the extra large kettle and loads of mugs, when our friends came for fathers day we had plenty of mugs for tea. I would definatly love to stay ag...more
Second time we have stayed here. A few minor things need fixing, I.e. screw covers on door handles, doors at rear need adjusting, but all very minor. Very well equipped, including games for children and adults.
We enjoyed our stay at 31 Marine Close. House is in a great location and very comfortable. Baileys looked after us very well during our stay.
We had a relaxing week at High Tide, the property has been cleverly refurbished to the highest standard, and everything you could need has been provided. The location is wonderful, near to town but peaceful and because the flat sits on the beach with stunning sea views the temptation is to stay there n not explore.
This house is 5* and the location cannot be beaten. The balcony is perfect place to watch the sunset with a cocktail. Baileys were incredibly helpful and offer a simple refund policy for covid. We’ve already booked again & recommended it to a few friends.
Does what is says on the tin. Comfortable and spacious house, but not large. 5 minute walk to the beach, 15 minute walk to village shops, coffee bars, dinning, pub. Eatery and coffee bar 5 minutes on beach. Nice part of the country and this end of the Witterings is much quieter, partly because it's a pebble beach with sand when the tide's out.
Our first time at Samphire was a great experience. The whole process from booking to departure was smooth and effortless. The location is a minute from the beach and 2 minutes from the hub of East Wittering restaurants and shops. We will be back.
Beautiful house in stunning location within a stones throw of the lovely beach at west wittering.Great for family get togethers.
We really enjoyed our stay at Little Marloes. We found the house very clean with everything we needed and couldn't ask for better communication with Freddie at Baileys Estate Agents. One of the blinds fell down during our first night and this was repaired the next day with no disruption to us at all. If you are planning on cooking most nights, the fridge is a little small. And it took us a while to find the dustpan and brush! You will need a car if you are planning on exploring other beaches, but Bracklesham Bay is a stony beach only 5 mins away and also a play park. Some big waves for s...more
Our first time at No 2 The Gee Gee, having stayed at East Wittering many times before. The house was ideal for a family of four with many separate areas to relax. It is also a stones throw from the beach and within walking distance of East Wittering village, which was ideal. We all enjoyed our stay.
Nice spacious property positioned nicely for beach only a 3 minute walk.Central to Braclesham Bay and East Wittering.parking is a bit tite for two medium cars, also not having windows in the double bedrooms was a slight issue, overall a lovely property would recommend
It was such a lovely relaxing week and last year was so lovely to a beautiful place one of the most relaxing holidays I’ve ever had I’ve said I would like the same dates next year start date 3 rd of July for one week
We have stayed in East, West, Wittering and Bracklesham and this was by far the best we have stayed in, it’s a real shame we not be available to rent next year.
Pebbles offers a delightful stay for those wishing to be close to local amenities, whilst enjoying sea views. Local pubs and restaurants provide a nice break from cooking with good walks available to burn off the sumptuous grub!
Perfect location for the beach, 5 minute walk to shops, 20 minute walk to West Wittering beach. No need to use the car. Lovely views from the rooftop. Used the back garden for BBQs. Ideal for 2 families. Good to have washing machine and dryer. Would be useful to have an umbrella for the beachside picnic table but other than that it has everything you need.
Quirky bungalow converted from railway carriages situated right by the sea. Garden protected from wind by thick tamarisk hedge great for sitting outside. Ample parking.
The house is in a great location, less than 1 minute walk to the beach and 10 min walk to the shops and restaurants in East Wittering, and the same to Bracklesham Bay. The house is well equipped with everything we needed including a beach trolley. The cabin in the garden is great, as provides a separate space for the kids to play or adults to chill out. The only downside of the house is the restricted height in the upstairs bedroom, OK if you are 5ft but would be tricky if you were nearer 6ft.
What can I say, what a wonderful property. I really can’t find fault, everything was lovely. It really felt like a home, comfortable and well thought out. Owning a holiday let myself this is the first place I’ve stayed in where attention to detail matched my own. Location was wonderful with only a short walk to the stunning beach. The only thing I would change is to have a larger TV, but maybe that says more about us. Plenty of books to read! Also felt Covid safe.
When self catering I expect to have adequate equipment. Everything sticks to frying pan and baking trays. No sharp knife. A very small collender, only one large metal cooking pot and one large glass saucepan. Mugs scratched and some are stained. In these COVID days self catering is ideal and this makes having enough utensils more necessary. The mattresses on the single beds are very soft and squidgy. I sent an email about the equipment at the beginning of our stay but had no reply. After coming here for 3 years because of the terrific location we will be trying a different flat that has no...more
We have been coming to East/West Wittering now for many years but it is the first time we have stayed at Seagate Court. We found it to be most pleasant. The flat was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The location was amazing near all the shop's and overlooking the beach/sea was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back again.
We returned for a second stay at the Rife as it provides excellent accommodation for our family, with a lovely enclosed garden for the children and a very short walk from the beach and the village shops.
Really enjoyed our stay, and easy access to the beach meant we could take advantage of any bursts of sunshine, or at least enjoy the views of the rain across the sea. The flat was very comfortable for 2 people, but having the cloakroom as well as the bathroom would work for a family of 4 just as well. Easy parking was good. East Wittering is a really nice little village, not pretty exactly but has a great range of shops, so very easy to cater at home, but also nice cafes for coffee/eating out/takeaway. The local agents were very helpful in dealing with queries.
A good base for exploring the Witterings and beyond. Comfortable accommodation and very close to all amenities.
We all loved the house, it has a nice homely feel and the position is perfect. It was a family holiday and the children were able to play in the garden and go to the beach a few steps away. The inside dining area is big and light, and we enjoyed eating outside as we were incredibly lucky with the weather. Unfortunately the "Aga" is unbelievably slow - even on full power it took many, many hours to cook anything in the oven and the hobs are just as bad. Luckily we had a camp stove with us which meant we could eat the same day! Also there are many trip hazards which are dangerous for toddlers ...more
We had a wonderful time and everything about the house worked very well. The garden was beautiful and it’s location is perfect.
Tip Top is very tastefully and comfortably decorated. The beds are probably the most comfortable beds that I’ve had in a rental property for years. The description is slightly misleading as there are no sea views. The beach is a short walk from the property (3 mins with a pushchair) but the part of the beach was a steep stony slope: not suitable for my infant son and so we would walk along to by Billy’s on the Beach or drive to West Wittering to go on the beach.
Quiet road. Comfortable beds. House has everything for your needs. Dog friendly. 15 minutes walk to the beach. Nice butchers shop and news agent, ice cream shop around the corner. Would definitely stay at Locksash again.
I have already listed for Bailey's the broken and worn items that need replacing (e.g. leaking kettle). Kitchen cupboards/drawers are stocked to overflowing so that so many utensils cannot possibly be checked for being cleaned to a high standard. I would recommend this property once it has had a makeover.
The flat was very comfortable and the views of the beach were spectacular only downside no disabled handle in the bath so I could not have a shower in case I slipped but overall a wonderful stay also flat well equipped with all you need - ps you can get suction disabled handles that could be left for use as they do in hotels - as I only stayed for 5 days it did not matter but nonetheless I would definitely stay in seagate court again - this was my 2nd visit stayed I no 6 last time - walk in shower there
Bijou! Beautifully clean. Lovely little welcome pack. Shame the bathroom is next to the kitchen area and not in the bedroom. The sofa is extremely uncomfortable. The wooden frame has no padding left and we resorted to using the garden chairs from the balcony. Something outside to attach the bins to would be helpful too.
We had a lovely stay at Cockle Beach house thank you. The house was bigger than expected which was a bonus. I think the cleaning job prior to our arrival could have been done better, especially in the Kitchen - one cupboard was full of cake wrappers and some half-eaten packets, other cupboards needing cleaning out, the dining table was sticky and much of the crockery needed washing before use. Also the fridge had a leak in the week as water had been collecting at the back of one of the bottom shelves and the dishwasher wasn't working properly as it had no salt in it. We had a few other issues...more
A clean and internally spacious property close to East Witterings (about 5 minutes drive). Has a large garden which was a little overgrown, I guess mainly due to the sheer amount of rain that has fallen over the last 2 - 3 weeks making it difficult to keep on top of it. I small bathroom/toilet which might be a challenge should more than 4 people stay in the property. Service from Bailey's was *****, very helpful and professional.
Beautiful, spacious property, clean, and well presented. Great location. Couldn’t ask for more. Would 100% stay again!
We enjoyed our stay - the cottage is well appointed, had a nice layout & keeps cool even on very hot days, which was lovely. The two things I’d suggest improvement for are garden maintenance & tech upgrade (better TV & WiFi). The front garden is rather messy & driveway entrance very tight (luckily we have a smallish car) & the back lawn was knee height when we arrived - although Bailey’s cut it the next day when we asked, which was great. No Netflix for a week & WiFi poor - but fine if you hope to get away from tech for a week or two!
This is a wonderful house, full of character, and very comfortable. The garden is pretty. The location is ideal for the beach and walks - no need to take the car. There are plenty of places to explore on foot from the cottage. We had a wonderful week. Negatives: there was banging coming from building works next door on 2 of the days.
Amazing views with fab location. Meets the needs of a family wanting a beach break. The nearby beaches are super clean, with amazing facilities.
bungalow was in perfect position, garden requires tidying, washing line was u/s. dvd player could be temperamental. All in all very enjoyable.
Summerlaize is a wonderful bungalow that is a step back in time but that just adds to the overall charm of the place.
Lovely large property right on the beach. Kitchen needs updating and a few extra home comforts would make a real difference but overall we really liked the property.
Our second visit we where hoping that the condition of the house and garden would have improved since last year but no such luck. Bathroom and living room flooring could do with replacing and a tidy up of the garden would make it almost perfect Cleanliness could also do with improvement cooking utensils and were cooker were very grubby. Found two mouldy cabbages and a bag of sprouting potatoes in a cupboard.
We were somewhat disappointed with the property. It was very basic - more shabby than shabby-chic. It was not very well equipped. There were no information leaflets about places to go to in the area, or any maps (was this due to Covid?). For us, as "oldies", the settees and bed were far too low. The flush on the toilet broke during our stay, but we phoned Baileys and it was promptly repaired. Both the front and back gardens were overgrown with weeds. We could not sit out in the back garden. We have rented many holiday cottages over the years, and for the money we paid, we had expecte...more
