This house was the perfect holiday home. Family of 5, plus grandparent, very spacious and we were all very comfortable. Great walking location to all the facilities and seaside. Would definitely stay here again.
The property is perfectly positioned for proximity to the town and local shops and restaurants. We love the beachfront location which allows regular dips in the sea and beautiful views especially from the master bedroom. We’ll definitely be booking again. More comfy dining chairs would be appreciated but definitely wouldn’t put us off a return visit!
Walks on the beach and into East Wittering; Billy's on the Beach for fish and chips; board games; braai in the rain ...great for three generations.
Beautiful home which has been very well thought out for guests day to day living. Clean, bright with good maintenance. A joyful place to stay.
Lovely bright and modern living kitchen area with huge bifold doors on to really private sunny garden Great holiday house in super convenient, but quiet location with parking Easy walk to East Wittering beach and shops
Overlooking the Booker Green , the shoreline and the sea. Fairhaven has direct beach access and its south-facing sun balcony has glorious sweeping views across the Solent and a great place to sit and relax. It is also a short walk to East Wittering village centre with the shops and cafes. Fairhaven is all about location, location.
This is our 4th year staying in a property owned by this couple and we will be back next year. The Pad is modern, clean, well equipped and has a lovely little sun trap of a garden with lots of tropical plants in it. The last 3 years we stayed in their other property (The Snug) and when the toaster packed up they replaced it the same day so we knew we wanted to stay in their property again. There is free wifi, a nice big TV if the weather is not so good and board games as well. The curved wooden ikea style chairs with their footrest and the recling sofa were very comfortable. The only very s...more
Great location, within walking distance to West Wittering beach . Clean and bright ,well equipped house.
We enjoyed coming back to have the ever changing sea view. The flat is very spacious and comfortable, not so keen on the replacement chairs on the balcony though .
The location of this property is perfect. Close to the shops, restaurants and the beach. It was really quiet and the garden is an absolute sun trap. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. The only thing we would change would be the dining area. Whilst the bi-fold doors open up this room to the outside making it feel nice and spacious the dining table chairs are uncomfortable and the egg chair wasn't available, as shown in the pictures. Inspite of this we would consider staying here again.
An annual trip to East Wittering with 4 girlfriends, but first time at Tamarisk Cottage, cannot recommend it enough - absolutely perfect for our needs, will definitely be booking again.
This was our second time at this property and as previously we were not disappointed with the house itself. Everything you can possibly think of is there. The owner added extra games and nice big keyboard, which my daughter loved it. I was a bit disappointed with the cleannes of the house this time, thick of dust on the ceiling lights, especially the one above the stairs, skirting boards needed dusting as well. The floors do need a good wash, you could see how dirty the floor was just by looking at you socks at the end of a day ( black). I would still recommend this accomodation as it is spac...more
THANK youth all the staff for the usual good service. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
We have been coming to Marine Close every year for a number of years now and love the house and location! Some of furnishings are becoming a little tired!
We stayed here and enjoyed a peaceful break. The house is on a private road so away from the day trippers - the beach is a short walk and the house is very easy to navigate for a family . Enclosed private garden . A great place to recharge the batteries and a simple pace of life . Just eat now deliver from Hammetts kitchen which was a bonus . The house is clean straightforward and kitchen and utility rooms are easy to use . Would definitely stay again .
Excellent in alway’s Except in price, we won’t be there next year Unless price is less, looking something less in price Kind Regards. Richard
Lovely break this was a new property I was trying out .very pleased felt homely as soon as I stepped through the front door .nice secluded garden not overlooked at all .parking good, location just right for me .
Tofts is great - fantastic location and brilliant house. I would agree with previous comments on the showers, but other than that it's Top at Tofts.
Sula Cottage is situated in a wonderful location for walking at East Head, along the beaches and up the estuary. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Baileys Estate Agent are good communicators and at hand for any queries.
We were fortunate enough to book 9 nights. The house is well equipped, has plenty of space, comfortable beds, a huge eat in kitchen and a fantastic garden. The house is a right by the creek and is perfect for swimming at high tide and paddle boarding.
Pros It is a lovely location and really spacious, Cons Lists of sand under the sofa and rug, major issue with the bathroom window that didn’t lock so anyone could climb in. Which with the wind rattling the doors really didn’t make for a good nights sleep
A very comfortable, well equipped holiday home in a great location. Easy walking distance to the beach and local shops. Perfect for a family get-together and it's great that dogs are allowed too. This was our third visit and we will almost certainly come again.
The bungalow is 5 minutes from the beach which is lovely. It's compact and comfortable with everything you need for your holiday
3 The Moorings was the Property we stayed in on our second visit to East Wittering way back in 2013. It was a fine back then but upgraded since to make it an ideal place to stay for a smaller group that can manage with the fact it is on the First Floor. Obviously that First Floor location means you have as good a view as any I have seen in any Holiday Let we've stayed in, and we've stayed in a few over the years !! We only moved on from 3 The Moorings back in 2013 because of an increasing family size, but we didn't move on too far taking another seafront Baileys Holiday Let, (Fairhaven), wh...more
We visited Berry Barn Cottage as a family of four with a 3m baby and 3yo, and their grandparents, one in a wheelchair. The garden is really beautiful and large and has steps to get to the lawn area. The cottage is right next to a private smooth lane that goes directly to the beachfront (8 mins walk), including direct access to the estate office which lends out sand wheelchairs! The cottage is on a fairly busy road but it was fine. Parking for 3 cars is a generous description. The big ground floor master has french doors that the wheelchair could access through, and the wet room was reall...more
A good family holiday house. nicely situated near the sea and close to shops with good old fashioned bakers, butchers and greengrocers
I have stayed at 4 Coastguards Cottages on numerous occasions. I love it. The moment you walk up the gorgeous cottage garden path you start to feel relaxed. The delightful cosy interior of the house wraps itself around you. Not to mention the amazing location and picturesque walk to the stunning beach at West Wittering and East Head. I didn’t want to leave……
We've been here twice before and hope to come back again, it's so lovely being on the beach and also looking at sun sets horses galloping in the evenings and meeting all the dogs. The apartment is in a perfect position few stairs are no problem and inside a great washing machine, cooker, shower and bath all in all perfect thank you
Lovely light spacious house in good location. Suspect would be too hot in heatwave as no blinds or shade. WIFI can barely cope with one computer and dipped in and out.
We enjoyed our week at Saltwater. The location is great with the path down to the beach . The garden is lovely too. We had a blustery week and the garden is very sheltered and good for ball games. We enjoy being able to walk into the village and to be able to head straight to the beach from the house. We were disappointed, however, that snags from last year had not been resolved. The fridge is too cold and liquids freeze in the salad drawers at the bottom of the fridge . It was the same last year. There were still problems with the flush in the upstairs toilet and a dripping tap in t...more
I'd certainly stay here again. It's a clean bright flat with a large sitting room with a huge window with views to Portsmouth and the isle of Wight. The kitchen is small but well laid out, The only downside is that the balcony is disappointing, smoked glass cutting off any view and so high that when sitting you can only see the sky.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Clean, warm, comfortable and reasonably well equipped. Our party was 4 adults and 2 under 4’s plenty of hot water for showers and baths. Lots of space in the house plus large garden for the children to play in. Plenty of parking. Good location 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the main shops in East Wittering. Recommend this property.
My family and I had a wonderful off peak stay at 5 Coastguard Cottage with the annex providing a little extra space for spreading out. The location is perfect for winter walks, spotting bird life and, for the brave, swimming! As always Baileys provided excellent customer service and responded quickly to any queries.
This is the perfect location for staying in East Wittering due to amazing views and proximity to the beach. The flat is clean, bright and comfortable and the views are amazing from all rooms.
We loved our stay in 1 Gee Gee. The position is great - near the beach - quiet - friendly neighbours and the house had a comfy feel. The number and variety books were a lovely surprise and the house well laid out and the occupiers needs well catered for. There were a couple of things that needed attention. The kitchen door does not shut The smoke detector (I think it was smoke not heat) in the kitchen went off with very little provocation. The curtains in the ground floor bedroom are see-through at night when the lights are on. We would certainly like to book it again.
Loved the location and all the quirky elements. Loved reading about its history. Stayed here as a family of four. Only issues - Were dropping the keys back at 10 am felt really early. - Lastly the place wasn’t overly clean and we actually cleaned the ground floor windows on the inside and outside as otherwise we couldn’t enjoy the views.
This was our first stay at Summerlaize. It's a lovely older house with lots of character in the heart of East Wittering, but close to the beach. We enjoyed our stay, but we had trouble with a few things: 1. The electric hob in the kitchen, which I figured out with trial and error eventually. Also if tall, watch your head on the extractor fan! 2. The very old room thermostat in the inner hall, which you had to set to a higher temperature to 'click on' and the CH/HW control. As it turned quite cold during our stay, I had to enlist the help of Baileys to set it up properly. Once working it was ...more
