Walks on the beach and into East Wittering; Billy's on the Beach for fish and chips; board games; braai in the rain ...great for three generations.
The property is perfectly positioned for proximity to the town and local shops and restaurants. We love the beachfront location which allows regular dips in the sea and beautiful views especially from the master bedroom. We’ll definitely be booking again. More comfy dining chairs would be appreciated but definitely wouldn’t put us off a return visit!
Beautiful home which has been very well thought out for guests day to day living. Clean, bright with good maintenance. A joyful place to stay.
Moved here after staying temporarily at another holiday let . The flat was supplied to myself and family as a short term 2 week stay . The property has a fabulous location and well worth a stay . Baileys estate agents were extremely professional and helpful.
We had a fantastic stay at the pad, the house was immaculate, with great facilities. The kitchen was compact but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The garden is enclosed, and has been well thought out with a little lawned area and lots of beautiful plants our dogs had a great time exploring. The location is great, 5 mins from the centre of east witting and 10 min walk to the beach, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!
BeautityBeautiful property which is in an amazing area. We loved our stay at East Winds. Local shops and restaurants were fab which meant we didn’t have to drive a lot. Beds were comfortable and open plan living space was great for us as a family to spend time together. Couple of niggles When we arrived, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen area for the first two days. It would have been nice to have a welcome booklet etc. Took us a long time to find the cutlery draw. Overall we had amazing time and highly recommend to anyone.
This property is all about the location. It is right on the coast and has a great green between it and the sea. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants in East Wittering. Really, there's no need to use the car. In the week we were in Fairhaven, we only took the car out twice. Once to the Chichester parkrun and the other time to go to a restaurant further a field.
Great location, within walking distance to West Wittering beach . Clean and bright ,well equipped house.
Such a lively house, just a few mins walk from the beach and the local shops. There’s enough space for 3 cars and the bonus of an electric charging point. Loved the open plan kitchen and dining area, that opens out to the large outdoor space (no grass but that’s fine with us). The kitchen was very well laid out with high end ovens, large fridge freezer (with ice/water dispenser), microwave and coffee machine (espresso). Bedrooms downstairs well laid out and the upstairs one would be suited to the shorter people in the group . There’s a pizza oven outside which we made use ...more
We enjoyed coming back to have the ever changing sea view. The flat is very spacious and comfortable, not so keen on the replacement chairs on the balcony though .
An annual trip to East Wittering with 4 girlfriends, but first time at Tamarisk Cottage, cannot recommend it enough - absolutely perfect for our needs, will definitely be booking again.
Very pleased with Seashells nice and homely, clean, tidy, spacious, secure garden. Ample parking not over looked and quite.every thing was catered for ,kitchen is well equipped even doggie biscuits supplied .A longer walk to the beach but the above more than compensates .
This was our second time at this property and as previously we were not disappointed with the house itself. Everything you can possibly think of is there. The owner added extra games and nice big keyboard, which my daughter loved it. I was a bit disappointed with the cleannes of the house this time, thick of dust on the ceiling lights, especially the one above the stairs, skirting boards needed dusting as well. The floors do need a good wash, you could see how dirty the floor was just by looking at you socks at the end of a day ( black). I would still recommend this accomodation as it is spac...more
THANK youth all the staff for the usual good service. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
We had yet another fabulous week at Marine Close, this year assisted by warm sunny weather with no wind!! The best weather in the eight years we have been staying at Marine Close. We noted that the house had been freshly decorated in parts plus new working blinds fitted which enhanced our stay. The garden was looking lovely as usual and the Prosecco Pit was as inviting as ever! We have already booked our dates for next year!
Great house, modern, light, warm, well equipped and in the perfect location. We have yet to find a better property on location, price and cleanliness.
What a fantastic place to spend a week to celebrate my 60th birthday with family. Fantastic location, everything was just what we needed and the weather couldn’t have been better. Was such a treat and would love to think one day we can come back
A great base in the perfect spot for a coastal break. Cottage is small but great condition with three bedrooms and very clean with a large private, lushly planted, front garden. Small kitchenette but also a large fridge freezer - very important for ice creams in Summer! Once parked up, leave the car and hit the ground running. We'll be returning!
Lovely break this was a new property I was trying out .very pleased felt homely as soon as I stepped through the front door .nice secluded garden not overlooked at all .parking good, location just right for me .
Tofts is great - fantastic location and brilliant house. I would agree with previous comments on the showers, but other than that it's Top at Tofts.
We were fortunate enough to book 9 nights. The house is well equipped, has plenty of space, comfortable beds, a huge eat in kitchen and a fantastic garden. The house is a right by the creek and is perfect for swimming at high tide and paddle boarding.
Pros It is a lovely location and really spacious, Cons Lists of sand under the sofa and rug, major issue with the bathroom window that didn’t lock so anyone could climb in. Which with the wind rattling the doors really didn’t make for a good nights sleep
We had been looking for a holiday home rental in winter capable of taking three generations of our family without everyone getting under each other's feet. The Rife was ideal for this. Upstairs accommodated two parents and two grandchildren and the downstairs bedrooms for our son and daughter. Everyone had a bedroom and easily accessible bathroom and with the beach only 400 yards away grandchildren could get down in 5-10 minutes. Very modern accommodation with excellent services. West Wittering has many good restaurants within 10-15 minutes travel so a good time was had by all
The bungalow is 5 minutes from the beach which is lovely. It's compact and comfortable with everything you need for your holiday
We visited Berry Barn Cottage as a family of four with a 3m baby and 3yo, and their grandparents, one in a wheelchair. The garden is really beautiful and large and has steps to get to the lawn area. The cottage is right next to a private smooth lane that goes directly to the beachfront (8 mins walk), including direct access to the estate office which lends out sand wheelchairs! The cottage is on a fairly busy road but it was fine. Parking for 3 cars is a generous description. The big ground floor master has french doors that the wheelchair could access through, and the wet room was reall...more
A good family holiday house. nicely situated near the sea and close to shops with good old fashioned bakers, butchers and greengrocers
I have stayed at 4 Coastguards Cottages on numerous occasions. I love it. The moment you walk up the gorgeous cottage garden path you start to feel relaxed. The delightful cosy interior of the house wraps itself around you. Not to mention the amazing location and picturesque walk to the stunning beach at West Wittering and East Head. I didn’t want to leave……
I have to admit to being addicted to Wittering and love staying in this flat, for comfort and have confidence with Baileys for arranging my stay, they are charming and give an efficient service.. thankyou from this grateful customer..
Lovely light spacious house in good location. Suspect would be too hot in heatwave as no blinds or shade. WIFI can barely cope with one computer and dipped in and out.
This is the 3rd stay at saltwater that has all what you need for a long and short stay with unobstructed views of the Solent from the 1st floor terrace and bedrooms. With access to the beach from the garden. We had perfect weather throughout the week with extraordinary sunsets between 7-8. I would not hesitate to recommend this property. I would like to add there is ample towels that the host arranges with the linens to be collected in separated bags that are professionally cleaned by a laundry after each guest leaves on check out day.
This is obviously a well loved holiday home. The wash house annex and extra gardens were ideal for someone with mobility issues[ a couple of small steps in a few areas]. We loved our stay and how close we were to West Wittering beach. We reported a minor maintenance issue and someone came round to sort it out on the same day.
This was our second stay at 9 Ella Close, we were there for 16 nights again. The property is a lovely size, the kitchen isn't quite as big as it looks in photos, but big enough for us. The rest of the property is a really good size & a really good size TV in the lounge. Yes, the property could do with a good lick of paint, as it is all still quite patchy. In our opinion, it would be nice if the walls were a light magnolia rather than everything pure white, but that is just personal preference, either way, a good coating of paint wouldn't go amiss. The bathrooms are big, especially the upsta...more
This is the perfect location for staying in East Wittering due to amazing views and proximity to the beach. The flat is clean, bright and comfortable and the views are amazing from all rooms.
I've stayed for years at The Gee Gee but this was my first stay since the improvements. I was impressed, the extra level and bedroom enabled a helper to come with me. Very well placed for trips to Chichester and the village shops themselves were great. Good communication about picking up keys on the bank holiday.
Loved the location and all the quirky elements. Loved reading about its history. Stayed here as a family of four. Only issues - Were dropping the keys back at 10 am felt really early. - Lastly the place wasn’t overly clean and we actually cleaned the ground floor windows on the inside and outside as otherwise we couldn’t enjoy the views.
This was our first stay at Summerlaize. It's a lovely older house with lots of character in the heart of East Wittering, but close to the beach. We enjoyed our stay, but we had trouble with a few things: 1. The electric hob in the kitchen, which I figured out with trial and error eventually. Also if tall, watch your head on the extractor fan! 2. The very old room thermostat in the inner hall, which you had to set to a higher temperature to 'click on' and the CH/HW control. As it turned quite cold during our stay, I had to enlist the help of Baileys to set it up properly. Once working it was ...more
