Perfect location for a pickleball retreat. Loved Tapnell farm, the cow and playing pickleball on the west wight.
Facilities were well maintained, clean and excellent quality. The containers were cosy and comfortable, the location perfect with lots of onside activities and well situated on the island. The customer service was brilliant and we really enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay to explore, Tapnell and the isle of wight. We'll be back again very soon Tapnell is wonderful
Great house for our group and such a bonus to be next to Tapnell farm with all the facilities and such a beautiful location- we will definitely Italy be back!
Second time visiting Tapnell Farm and it’s an outstanding day out for our little children and then staying overnight ‘camping’ really made it a lot of fun. We stayed in the shipping containers and found it to be a lot of fun, and outstanding value for money at just £65 a night. The Cow Restaurant is also excellent quality food too.
Lovely place to stay nice and quiet. The perfect little stay for a night with no distractions. Breakfast was phenomenal.
Fantastic house for a multigenerational stay. We picked the Wendy House for a family Christmas and it was wonderful. A gorgeous hamper especially for Christmas was awaiting us on arrival. The main living area had wonderful comfy sofas and a huge TV along with a beautifully decorated tree. The open plan kitchen has was extremely easy to use and I had no problem in cooking for 8 people. Plenty of room and utensils to use. A great oven. (Rangemaster). The downstairs bedrooms were comfortable and cosy each with their own en-suites. Check-In was simple, house was spotless. Lots of information before...more
Chloe & Mel were nothing short of amazing. We made a pretty crazy last minute decision to get married and gave 30 days notice. Fortunately they had some availability and just couldn't have been more helpful and professional helping us pull everything together, taking care and going above and beyond at every step. The service as such on the day was faultless and everything went perfectly as planned and both Bride & Groom had the reassurance you want knowing that Chloe & Mel were there on hand and had everything totally under control. Stunning venue suitable for both large full scale or intima...more
We stayed in the Domes at Tapnell Farm, they are in a great location with beautiful views out to the sea. We were 10 minutes from the ferry, which was great after a long drive. We were surrounded by fields and public footpaths which meant there were lots of places to walk the dog and it was also easy and quick to drive to different places on the island. The Domes had everything that we required and little extras like milk, biscuits and firewood for the log burner. It was a perfect place to escape to and relax.
We have stayed at Tapnell multiple times before. We always know that we will always have a great stay, it is always clean and the facilities are great. Staying in February we were worried that the dome could be cold. The kitchen and bathroom were nice and warm due to the central heating. The dome itself was kept warm by the wood burning stove. We kept this constantly going and were nice and toasty. The beds also came with electric blankets for even more warmth. Would be more than happy to stay here again.
East Afton farmhouse is a wonderful place to stay with family or friends. We were a group of four families and we were blown away by teverything the farmhouse and annex had to offer. It is luxurious but homely at the same time, a beautiful warm and cosy famhouse in a wild and wonderful setting. We stayed over New Year and enjoyed wild walks in the hills, the huge waves on the beaches and lunch at The Cow restaurant. There are cows on site which the kids loved, the cinema room is an absolute winner and the selection of coffees, chutneys and snacks on arrival was a lovely welcome. A word too for...more
As said above overall it was excellent! Everything was clean, warm and comfortable. The booking process was smooth and easy. The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful. I have a couple of suggestions though. The lights beside the piglets it would of been great if they had been on as trying to navigate in the dark was pretty tricky. A couple bottles of water for the kettle would be a nice touch. The only other thing was because of the lack of light I left my bathroom light on to help me get there, however, because I did this every one ended up using our bathroom instead of their own.
We loved staying in the Dome Meadow. Our accommodation was both elegant and cosy, and had everything we needed. It was very useful to be able to dine outside with our family whilst the children slept within earshot. The kitchen and whole dome was so well equipped. The views are just stunning too - I will be remembering them for some time.
Everything was great but as chief cook and bottle washer I would say that we needed pizza trays(3) and maybe small frying pan and one really large saucepan.
We really enjoyed our stay in the modulogs. Comfort is high, beds excellent, good shower, all facilities we needed. My only two criticism would be , being 6ft+ I'd smash my head on everything. The hot tub does need better instructions we never managed to get it hot, only tepid.. But maybe that's just us. All in all a great stay and would recommend
Impressive property with huge garden and shared access to Poachers perch if needed, ideal for our family group of 14. Beautifully clean, bright spacious house with 4 large well fitted bedrooms and comfy beds. Fantastic spacious well equipped kitchen, with large family dining area and 2 large tables. 2 bright comfortable sitting rooms, one with wood burner for families to gather and relax in the evenings. Tapnell farm park had plenty of entertainments indoor and outdoor for children whatever the weather and animal feeding was extremely popular. Amazon world was very interesting as was the ...more
Excellent location a real glamping experience with fantastic toilet/shower block, peace & tranquility
We had a wonderful stay. The electric Blankets and hot water bottles were a welcome addition in October. The hot tub, although a bit faffy to rinse out before each use, was amazing once in, seeing the stars and the milky way. We were very comfortable, and even the heavy rain didn't bother us once cosy in the tent.
This is the third year we’ve been and the Domes are as well equipped, well maintained and comfortable as ever. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves the outdoor life with a bit of comfort! The views are amazing and even in the wind and rain we had a wonderful time
We are regular visitors to the IOW and have been to Tapnell on many occasions but this was our first stay. It won't be our last! It was a wonderful experience. Thanks to the whole team for making a grey October half-term break into a something special.
Just spent an incredible 3 nights at Tapnell Farm’s Modulog, and it was everything we hoped for - romantic, peaceful, and the ultimate escape. The Modulog itself felt like a real retreat, with cosy, comfy beds and an indoor log burner that made evenings so snug. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to whip up meals after days filled with exploring the Isle of Wight. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub. Sitting there under a blanket of stars with nothing but the sounds of nature around us? Absolute magic. This Modulog was such a special place to "come home to" each nig...more
We attended a wedding at East Afton farm house which was fantastic. We stayed in an Eco Pod. It was small and warm. The outside decking was so slippery. Although there were signs warning you it was dangerous and easy to slide on. The farm provided wood and coal for outside fires. A bag of grit would of made the difference to our stay. The views from the pod were lovely. There was a microwave two electric burners, kettle tea, coffee sugar, fresh milk . BBQ outside. Can imagine it would be nice to cook outside in the summer.
Place was amazing, great accommodation and staff were all really helpful. Would definitely come back
We loved our stay, checking in and out was very easy, we asked if we could arrive earlier and check out later which the team were very flexible in accommodating. The pods were incredibly well kit-out and clean. Our stay was pretty much perfect, everything you might need was available on hand. The pods are charming, cosy and well equipped. Perfect for what we needing during our stay in February. Excellent access to wider Tapnell Farm facilities, as it was the winter months and we were without a car, when we come again we will come with a car as access to public transport and some shops be...more
Great glamping experience with wonderful facility and fun activities at the farm. Highly recommended!
Absolutely love staying in tapnels modulogs. This was the second year for our family and friends mini break and we have already booked again for next year. Perfect relaxing surroundings, well equipped accommodation the log burning hot tub is a must. Our dogs loved the stay too, great country walks. Sadly we were not able to get into the cow restaurant due to the dates we stayed but advice for future bookings il definitely book a table there well in advance (as the food is amazing) . Staff in the hub are very helpful and this year there was tapnel merchandise (great selection of hoodies) can'...more
Beautiful house with lots of space for a large party. Lovely lounging rooms with great fires for cold days and kitchen very well equipped. We loved sitting in the kitchen diner - a lovely sociable space. Games room with pool table was fun but weird electronic dart board a bit frustrating! (Can understand this may be for health & safety reasons) Large garden great for dogs with some lovely walks from the house. Lots of choice in bedrooms, but more showers en suite would be good and some mattresses could do with replacing. On the whole we loved our second visit to Tapnell Manor and will probabl...more
We loved our stay at Tapnell farm in the Modulog. It was very relaxing and just what we were after, a calm environment to relax and unwind. We had our dog with us and she also loved cuddling up next to the wood burner and going for long walks in the countryside nearby. Only recommendation would be to provide more firelighters and smaller logs for the wood burner for people staying longer than 2/3nights.
Love this place Our group of 8 ladies Love this place as it re sets us for the next year. Beautiful setting
We love The Snug! It has everything you need, it’s furnished beautifully, wonderful shower, good heating and very quiet. It has everything for a very comfortable stay and it’s nice to have the outside area. We also ate at their restaurant and highly recommend the burgers, great service too. The lady who dealt with this booking was so helpful and accommodating to our request for a late check out which was so appreciated! We will definitely stay again.
Couldn’t fault the facilities which included power and water next to container, kettle, microwave and even 2 air fryers in the kitchen area, great shower block too. Container had 8 beds (double + 3 x bunks) plenty of storage, and place for dog too. Only downside was the mattresses were plastic-coated and were so noisy it was like sleeping on a crisp packet.
We had a brilliant relaxing weekend with the family. Something for everyone raning in age from 15 months to mid fifties. Also the weather was great which always helps.
We had a great time. Fun afternoon at Tapnell. Christmas experience was magical. Lovely meal at The Cow. Great weekend get away.
This is a lovely campsite with great facilities, view and location. We were unlucky enough to be next to very noisy neighbours who stayed up partying all night. Sadly there was no recourse for the Tapnell Farm staff to quieten them and it did ruin our holiday a bit, especially the children who were very tired the next day. It would have been nice if we had been offered a refund for that night however it was not offered. There was also a bit of a mouse problem...! One dead and smelly behind the refrigerator, and another that ate our loaf of bread!
Thank you. Just what I wanted during my three day stay on your beautiful and welcoming Island. I look forward to coming back and enjoying again this comfort and peace as well as so much of what Tapnell has to offer.
Second time visiting this place. Such a lovely spot and so fun for the children. Facilities excellent. Only trouble was some people arrive not expecting camp site and assume hotel facilities! Showers and toilets fantastic. Staff prompt if any concerns. Very practical accommodation layout. Suggest a pump dispenser for washing up liquid as people use too much and it's gone within a day. Thank you
The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was excellent. The areas to improve are ensuing on a Sunday morning that the toilets around the central area are cleaned early due to the volume of people using facilities on the Saturday evening. Also the site would look better if the weeds between the pods were removed. Overall the stay was very good. Thanks
Great clamping experience and lovely location. Loads to do on the farm. Good facilities. Definitely recommended.
The cabin was very comfortable and warm for our stay, the quality of the facilities (bathroom, communal kitchen) was the best I've come across for a lot of years. There is everything on site to have a fab holiday. The food at The Cow was delicious and the bus service was reliable and a welcome change from driving. It was easy for me to contact staff and they were helpful with my noise complaint. The only thing I would change is to say better lighting is needed in the cabins at night. They do have fairy lights but it's not enough.
We had a pleasant time, just wished the double bed for us adults was a real double, not two plastic wrapped singles. Lots of fun for the kids which was the main point of our holiday. The communal fridge is a bit small for 12 cabins and had a lot of left over food that was out of date.
Very nice - but small and compact- shower block was clean and large - would have been nice to have a non slip shower Matt as both of us have had knee surgery- replacement- so scared of slipping- and the shower base was extremely slippery. Also felt it not on to pay over £100 a night and still expected to strip the beds and empty bins . A chair in the piglet would have been great and maybe put the charcoal and lighters in a waterproof storage bin outside
