Facilities were well maintained, clean and excellent quality. The containers were cosy and comfortable, the location perfect with lots of onside activities and well situated on the island. The customer service was brilliant and we really enjoyed our stay.
These are better than you could imagine- you want to stay forever, they have everything you need, all you have to do it bring the fun!
We took our company to Tom's Eco Lodge for a two night stay- the Domes themselves are absolutely beautiful and in a stunning location- there's nothing more you could want for- and I'd highly recommend staying here - it's stunning.
Great house for our group and such a bonus to be next to Tapnell farm with all the facilities and such a beautiful location- we will definitely Italy be back!
Second time visiting Tapnell Farm and it’s an outstanding day out for our little children and then staying overnight ‘camping’ really made it a lot of fun. We stayed in the shipping containers and found it to be a lot of fun, and outstanding value for money at just £65 a night. The Cow Restaurant is also excellent quality food too.
Lovely place to stay nice and quiet. The perfect little stay for a night with no distractions. Breakfast was phenomenal.
The Wendy House is very good. The house probably needs a slight level of updating ie some USB sockets
Everything is perfect! The staff are so friendly and make sure everything goes smoothly. The venue is well maintained and is great in photos and look even more beautiful when dressed. Honestly couldn’t think of anywhere better to have had our special day!
We stayed in the Domes at Tapnell Farm, they are in a great location with beautiful views out to the sea. We were 10 minutes from the ferry, which was great after a long drive. We were surrounded by fields and public footpaths which meant there were lots of places to walk the dog and it was also easy and quick to drive to different places on the island. The Domes had everything that we required and little extras like milk, biscuits and firewood for the log burner. It was a perfect place to escape to and relax.
Beautiful and peaceful location, excellent facilities, we are planning a return soon. Thank you for a lovely experience
Wow, what a lovely house and location! Myself and my friends stayed in East Afton Farmhouse & Annex for my birthday weekend and just had the best time. The hosts were amazing and so pro active in making sure we were given all the info we needed, and it was a pleasure staying in such a lovely, private venue.
As said above overall it was excellent! Everything was clean, warm and comfortable. The booking process was smooth and easy. The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful. I have a couple of suggestions though. The lights beside the piglets it would of been great if they had been on as trying to navigate in the dark was pretty tricky. A couple bottles of water for the kettle would be a nice touch. The only other thing was because of the lack of light I left my bathroom light on to help me get there, however, because I did this every one ended up using our bathroom instead of their own.
Lovely location with a super views. Everything that we needed was available in our Dome to make the stay run smoothly. Friendly and helpful staff with good food and drink available from the barn if you did not want to cook. Great communications received from the moment of booking, helping us with route maps to help find our destination to information of what was available to do and see. Happily rebook again in the future.
We loved staying in the Dome Meadow. Our accommodation was both elegant and cosy, and had everything we needed. It was very useful to be able to dine outside with our family whilst the children slept within earshot. The kitchen and whole dome was so well equipped. The views are just stunning too - I will be remembering them for some time.
Had a brilliant 3 days stay in cabin 1. Fantastic location with great views. Super clean and well turned out.
Loved the location and everything around us. All the little details were covered and we didn’t want for anything. Originally booked just for 2, my daughter ended up joining us, making us 3 staying. It’s a bit cosy for 3, perfect for us, but unless you’re close friends I would opt for the bigger Modulogs. Central heating worked very well and the EcoPod was not all all drafty. Important to us staying in November.
We had a wonderful stay. The electric Blankets and hot water bottles were a welcome addition in October. The hot tub, although a bit faffy to rinse out before each use, was amazing once in, seeing the stars and the milky way. We were very comfortable, and even the heavy rain didn't bother us once cosy in the tent.
This is the third year we’ve been and the Domes are as well equipped, well maintained and comfortable as ever. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves the outdoor life with a bit of comfort! The views are amazing and even in the wind and rain we had a wonderful time
Very well equipped cottage, friendly staff and excellent facilities for children. Space for everyone to spread out in comfort and nice big kitchen with island.
Amazing. Would recommend. The entire farm is beautiful with a great restaurant and breathtaking views.
We are regular visitors to the IOW and have been to Tapnell on many occasions but this was our first stay. It won't be our last! It was a wonderful experience. Thanks to the whole team for making a grey October half-term break into a something special.
Just spent an incredible 3 nights at Tapnell Farm’s Modulog, and it was everything we hoped for - romantic, peaceful, and the ultimate escape. The Modulog itself felt like a real retreat, with cosy, comfy beds and an indoor log burner that made evenings so snug. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to whip up meals after days filled with exploring the Isle of Wight. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub. Sitting there under a blanket of stars with nothing but the sounds of nature around us? Absolute magic. This Modulog was such a special place to "come home to" each nig...more
Place was amazing, great accommodation and staff were all really helpful. Would definitely come back
My partner and I had a magical time staying on tapnell farm. Our accomodation was amazing, and although was just an eco pod had all the creature comforts we required since we aren't use to real camping. We especially loved the fire pit and all the wood and accessories they provided us, we had a fire 3 nights of our stay. The farm itself was a lot of fun, we liked walking around all the animals. The restaurant, shop, cafe were all great as well. We even did archery and axe throwing one day as well, which was really fun! 10/10 would recommend to anyone, and we hope to return to try out a d...more
Great glamping experience with wonderful facility and fun activities at the farm. Highly recommended!
Tapnell Farm and specifically the Manor House is a fantastic place for the whole family to visit. The house itself was amazing, clean, well decorated, well equipped and in a superb location. The farm park kept all the kids (1 year to 15 years) amused and the food in the Cow restaurant is also well worth a mention. Great customer service- we will stay again
Love this place Our group of 8 ladies Love this place as it re sets us for the next year. Beautiful setting
Our stay at Tapnell Farm in a Modulog was enjoyable, though the comfort left something to be desired. The setting was lovely, but at £450 for one night, we found it quite expensive for the location. While the experience was unique, we expected a bit more comfort for the price
We had a great weekend in a modulog at Tapnell Farm. The unit was equipped to a high standard, and we loved the inventive use of timber throughout - tables, stools, mirror surrounds, shelving - some really beautiful touches. And all the green features were very much appreciated.
Couldn’t fault the facilities which included power and water next to container, kettle, microwave and even 2 air fryers in the kitchen area, great shower block too. Container had 8 beds (double + 3 x bunks) plenty of storage, and place for dog too. Only downside was the mattresses were plastic-coated and were so noisy it was like sleeping on a crisp packet.
If you like stargazing, visiting the western parts of the Isle of Wight, and spending time with a loved one (or by yourself), The Snug is perfectly situated for all three. The Isle of Wight, on a clear night, is far enough away from light pollution to see the stars and the Milky Way. It's also perfect for spending a close evening with a loved one
We had a brilliant relaxing weekend with the family. Something for everyone raning in age from 15 months to mid fifties. Also the weather was great which always helps.
Lovely accommodation for our wedding guests with everything they needed for their weekend stay. Cozy and well equipped with some nice touches :)
This is a lovely campsite with great facilities, view and location. We were unlucky enough to be next to very noisy neighbours who stayed up partying all night. Sadly there was no recourse for the Tapnell Farm staff to quieten them and it did ruin our holiday a bit, especially the children who were very tired the next day. It would have been nice if we had been offered a refund for that night however it was not offered. There was also a bit of a mouse problem...! One dead and smelly behind the refrigerator, and another that ate our loaf of bread!
The sofas were very uncomfortable and there was little room in the bedrooms . The parking was extremely difficult as it was in a very busy road and we had 2 large cars. The accommodation catered for 6 people but there was only 6 cups, 6 glasses etc. it would be useful to double that number and for the cutlery to be increased too. That aside, we had a wonderful week and the staff were very helpful. The free eggs were absolutely delicious.
Second time visiting this place. Such a lovely spot and so fun for the children. Facilities excellent. Only trouble was some people arrive not expecting camp site and assume hotel facilities! Showers and toilets fantastic. Staff prompt if any concerns. Very practical accommodation layout. Suggest a pump dispenser for washing up liquid as people use too much and it's gone within a day. Thank you
The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was excellent. The areas to improve are ensuing on a Sunday morning that the toilets around the central area are cleaned early due to the volume of people using facilities on the Saturday evening. Also the site would look better if the weeds between the pods were removed. Overall the stay was very good. Thanks
Great clamping experience and lovely location. Loads to do on the farm. Good facilities. Definitely recommended.
The cabin was very comfortable and warm for our stay, the quality of the facilities (bathroom, communal kitchen) was the best I've come across for a lot of years. There is everything on site to have a fab holiday. The food at The Cow was delicious and the bus service was reliable and a welcome change from driving. It was easy for me to contact staff and they were helpful with my noise complaint. The only thing I would change is to say better lighting is needed in the cabins at night. They do have fairy lights but it's not enough.
We had a pleasant time, just wished the double bed for us adults was a real double, not two plastic wrapped singles. Lots of fun for the kids which was the main point of our holiday. The communal fridge is a bit small for 12 cabins and had a lot of left over food that was out of date.
Very nice - but small and compact- shower block was clean and large - would have been nice to have a non slip shower Matt as both of us have had knee surgery- replacement- so scared of slipping- and the shower base was extremely slippery. Also felt it not on to pay over £100 a night and still expected to strip the beds and empty bins . A chair in the piglet would have been great and maybe put the charcoal and lighters in a waterproof storage bin outside
