We had a lovely stay at Tapnell farm. We booked the aqua park and booked the padel court a couple of times, both activities were fantastic. We ate in the cow restaurant and agreed they served some of the best burgers we’ve eaten. The games room was also a big hit with my boys, we will definitely be back to stay again.
Great house for our group and such a bonus to be next to Tapnell farm with all the facilities and such a beautiful location- we will definitely Italy be back!
East Afton Farmhouse is an excellent place to stay whether you are on the island for a holiday or celebrating a special occasion. In our case my husband and I were there for our fortieth wedding anniversary with all our family. The farmhouse had everything we needed for everyone, beautiful bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, a spacious living and dining area and a well stocked kitchen. The cinema room was an added bonus too. Outside the farmhouse were pretty gardens including a large courtyard and seating area, an annex for further guest accommodation together with a stone barn area for our...more
We really enjoyed our stay and found it a comfortable chalet. It suited our party to have 3 bedrooms all with single beds. However, the beds were a bit on the narrow side! There wasn’t room round the table for all six of us at the same time, even though an extra two folding chairs were provided. The chalet was warm and cosy and there was everything we needed for a weekend but it would have been a bit cramped for 6 adults for a whole week with lots of luggage. We enjoyed visiting the farm and trying pickleball and padel. The blurb said there was a log burner but we didn’t have one. Not a proble...more
We stayed in a Dome and booked last minute, which included a discounted ferry. The Dome was great, very spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The bathroom is huge and shower powerful. The kids loved the bunk beds! The view is incredible, my only slight complaint is that the domes aren’t soundproof and you can hear your neighbours. There are earplugs provided, but I just found it a shame as it’s just a peaceful location otherwise. It was only me that noticed it, my husband and children didn’t at all. We picked up the free fresh eggs for breakfast - delicious! We also visit...more
The Wendy House is in the middle of nowhere with huge floor to ceiling glass windows all around. The views are amazing. We walked to Tapnell most days and the kids loved it. The house was super family friendly with travel cots, a high chair, bath mat and lots of toys which the kids also loved. Kitchen had everything we needed (apart from oil which I forgot to buy!). We had an incredible stay and would definitely return and recommend to anyone. It is the countryside so there were a lot of spiders and woodlice, and it could definitely do with a big de-cobweb in high or deep places, although it w...more
Our party of 18 stayed at East Afton over Christmas and the New Year. The kids took full advantage of the free entry to Tapnnall Farm, toddlers were ferried by car but the older ones and adults enjoyed the short walk across the fields. The accommodation was perfect for us with enough space to seek a spell of peace and quiet if you need a spell away from the full on Christmas excitement. We took a slow cooker and large pans as we were unsure whether weed need extra for cooking a full Christmas meal for so many, but it was unnecessary as the kitchen had everything we needed especially wi...more
We had a lovely stay this weekend at tapnell farm, the domes are amazing, we had everything we needed and the kids absolutely loved the hot tub, having access to the farm throughout our stay really was a bonus as the weather wasn’t great the kids burnt all their energy off at the play park! The roast dinner at The Cow is a must if was enjoyed by us all, thank you we can’t wait to come back soon!
We had a great time in the Piglet to celebrate a family wedding at the barn. The location was ideal to avoid us driving anywhere. The barn provided us with milk, biscuits, kettle and a fridge to store food. The toilet was spacious, clean and the shower worked well. The bed has plenty of storage below for suitcases and bags. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
I had a lovely stay with my labrador, the location is wonderful with a great view. The dome was bigger than I expected and the facilities were excellent. There is plenty to do at the farm, and loads more to do nearby. Great location for a short drive to nice beaches and excellent long walks on the doorstep.
Excellent property comfortable beds, great shower and hot tub, clean and all amenities provided. Plenty activities for the kids to enjoy themselves, Aqua Park and foot golf a big hit. Very safe environment.
Our recent stay at Wood Cabin 1 was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of serene beauty and impeccable service that promised—and delivered—the perfect respite from our hectic lives. The resort's greatest asset is undoubtedly its breathtaking setting. Nestled amidst lush mountains, pristine coastline, every vista was a postcard come to life. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.
There was everything we could want for a lovely holiday in our safari tent - deckchairs, hot tub, barbecue, countryside view - as well as all the usual things you would expect to be provided. It was spacious, clean and welcoming. Our 6 year old particularly liked the cosy bed hidden behind the curtains! All the staff were very friendly and there were lots of activities on the site to keep everyone occupied throughout our stay.
Everything was perfec!. It is luxurious glamping at its best! Most relaxing holiday ever. Will definitely visit again.
We had a lovely stay at Tapnell Farm, the Modulog was perfect and everything was so well thought out throughout the accommodation. The milk and biscuits on arrival were a great touch with plenty of tea and coffee. The free entry to the park was appreciated and we had a great stay - thank you.
We booked this as a last minute 2 night get away for 2 adults and 2 kids. The domes themselves are exceptionally well equipped with full functioning kitchen and bathroom. There are radiators in the kitchen and bathroom and a woodburner in the main living room/ sleeping room. Darn facilities are fantastic including the cow restaurant and activities for kids. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side, which is to be expected in Feb, but we still had a great stay.
We had a fantastic time staying in the modulog. Very clean and beautiful views. Lovely staff and great facilities.
The Poachers Lodge is a lovely house on the edge of the Tapnall Farm estate. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. We were a group of eight and the space worked well. Whilst we had cars it is on the summer bus route, and only a short walk to the Farm and its activities. We played Pickle and Padel. We would go and stay again.
We had a lovely stay at Little Lodge. Well appointed kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms and the most gorgeous views. Only improvement would be an L shaped sofa to fit 4 people and a lamp in the living room. Otherwise was perfect.
The containers are the perfect camping upgrade. Solid beds, nice locations, great view. The shower and toilet block is just what you need. Perfect spot to explore the island and the farm from. So much to do
Had a good stay in one of the piglets. While the piglet itself is relatively small, I found I could also leave extra clothes in the large bathrooms which meant storage wasn't an issue. Was nice and warm at nighttime as well and good location.
Excellent sized property for large gatherings. Our family of 16 spent a great 5 days at Tapnell Manor for Christmas. The lounge and dining room has plenty of space if you all want to be together but there is also plenty of space if you want some alone time. The grounds are well kept for that after dinner stroll. The only downside was the terrible smell in the lower floor of the property and the radiators in some of the bedrooms did not heat up fully. Although the property has a downstairs bed settee situated next to a wet room it is not accessible to people with mobility issues due to steep st...more
Lovely site to visit with wonderful location. The Eco Pod had everything we needed. Great customer service. Would highly recommend.
We arrived in pouring rain and were greeted by our lovely warm and comfortable Pod. We bought our dog with us and really enjoyed all the walks and my son enjoyed the farm park too. It is also located in a great place to go and visit all the sites and beaches. We had a brilliant stay.
A very spacious cabin. Very well equipped just a couple of things missing to make it perfect. Mirrors in all bedrooms would be good and a second shower over the bath.
With beautiful views, a well lovely cabin, no end of activities and wonderful staff I couldn't recommend Tapnell Farm more highly. We were there for a corporate away day but would lovely to take the family as well.
We had a great time at Camp Tapnell. The communal spaces such as kitchen and clubhouse were a great way to meet other guests staying there. The facilities were clean. Communal kitchen was equipped with microwave, air-fryer, electric stoves, toasters and kettles, so just needed to bring our own kitchenware such as sauce pans, plates and utensils. Activities in Tapnell Farm Park were fun. My 13-year-old boy enjoyed the go-kart and mini and Tower slides the most as well as visiting the animal farm. Particularly the Alpaca and Wallabies. We also booked the Aqua Park and my boys had an awesome ti...more
Enjoyed our stay at the dome, great facilities and very comfortable. One cheeky request would be to add free entry into the farm when you pay to stay.
We had a wonderful stay, great location we did the Farm Park and Aqua Park. The container was lovely and warm. The showers were clean. Every thing seemed new. The kitchen area and fridge was so useful. As a family of 4 we would have preferred less beds (there were 8) and more communal space in the container - especially as it was raining.
We had a lovely stay with 16 of is divided over two safaritents. We thouroughly enjoyed it! Would go again without a second thought…
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The layout of the cottage was perfect as one of the guests uses a wheelchair to mobilise. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to keep clean . The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was beautiful . Thank you
Safari tent was perfect for us. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back soon! Thank you to all of the team.
We had a fabulous stay at Tapnell. Cycled there from Yarmouth on a sunny autumnal day with our two kids and it was so nice to be able to check in so easily and go straight to our accom independently without all the usual faff. The modulogs are super cosy, practical and have everything you need. Our children immediately found some playmates a couple of cabins down and we made the most of our hot tub with fantastic view. It took us a while to work out the oven having thought it was on when it wasn't (!) but we had a very lovely eve. The next day we maxed out the activities starting with football...more
we lived our stay at the piglets at Tapnel. Perfect cosy cabins, warm with a great bed and our own bathroom that was in a separate part of the farm. Would stay there again.
We had an amazing stay at Camp Tapnell in the shipping containers. The showers were good, hot and clean. the toilets had hand dryers with hair dryers attached and toddler seats as part of seat which really helps with little kids. The kitchen area was well provided with toaster, air fryer and fridges and a microwave. They had provide soap in toilets and washing up liquid in kitchen. lots of drinking water taps near to containers too. we went into Tapnell farm and the kids loved it so much for the kids to do. We also experienced the Barn, Boots and Beats event in the evening which was great fun....more
We spent the weekend staying in one of the containers at the Farm and it exceeded all our expectations. The container itself was surprisingly comfortable—spacious enough for a relaxed stay for the 4 of us, with comfortable bunk beds. Everything was immaculately clean when we arrived, which instantly made us feel at ease and enough space to drop bags We had excellent access to all the on-site facilities—showers, toilets, and the onsite activity areas and the Cow co restaurant was AMAZING and just a short walk away from our container making the whole experience really convenient. Even b...more
Container is great, was so glad of the sturdy frame when it was rainy and windy all night. Was ready a bit early, found the pizza oven by safari tents and made pizza which the kids loved, farm is great and not too busy so lots of go karts, trampolines, bouncy pillow. Cafe nice but quite expensive, cappuccino £4, yummy cakes. Tesco 3 miles away in freshwater is handy for a meal deal etc. The cow was good but again quite expensive, nice atmosphere though and interesting layout, staff helpful. Nice views from farm good for parents while watching kids play. Camp tapnell loos and showers really cle...more
The snug was clean and more than adequate for its purpose. Good shower and kitchen facilities, with a double bed. It had been freshly painted, so looked very new, although there was a slight lingering smell of paint - not a major issue. Heater in room more than heats the room when required.
Fantastic stay everything was lovely . Lovely added touches like milk and fresh eggs provided on arrival . Only very small gripe would be the shower. No pressure and temperature was very hard to navigate.
Thank you for a lovely lovely place to stay during our time on the beautiful Isle of Wight. I loved it. However, the rest of my family got eaten alive by mosquitoes and would not want to stay here again. I would come and stay again, but they wouldn't. Also, the family in the next-door container also got eaten alive by mosquitoes and had to cut their holiday short by 2 nights due to the ridiculous number of mosquito bites. It seems that the water park is a massive breeding ground for mosquitoes. I have never heard of anyone complaining about mosquitoes before on the Isle of Wight, but then I've...more
Location is great. Showers and kitchen area are clean and kept tidy. The fire pit and football goals are a lovely addition for the children to enjoy… could have done with a small play park/a couple of swings. The containers themselves are a very fun and exciting concepts but the beds are so uncomfortable. The plastic sheeting covering them isn’t ideal and kept people awake. The cow is gorgeous. All staff at Tapnell were so friendly and helpful.
Second time visiting this place. Such a lovely spot and so fun for the children. Facilities excellent. Only trouble was some people arrive not expecting camp site and assume hotel facilities! Showers and toilets fantastic. Staff prompt if any concerns. Very practical accommodation layout. Suggest a pump dispenser for washing up liquid as people use too much and it's gone within a day. Thank you
We loved the variety of things to do at the farm and the quality of the provision. Lots to do for those with young ones (2-10 yrs). For those kids who are slightly older, the teenagers, there is not so much to get stuck into beyond a couple of hours on site, but our daughter still enjoyed it and spent time with her younger sister. Accommodation is great, warm and we liked the novelty. The kitchen was stacked full of equipment, which made life so much easier. Loved all the signage throughout the site which outlined which guests should use what. The shower block was awesome for a camping sit...more
Great clamping experience and lovely location. Loads to do on the farm. Good facilities. Definitely recommended.
A fabulous stay with breathtaking views! The piglet had all I needed for a fabulous few nights sleep. The separate bathroom was really spacious and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience
We had a brilliant stay overall! Loved the location and facilities were very clean and well maintained, lots for the kids to do and the camp was really well set up. Great communication and discount on the ferry. Amazing meal at the cow. Also dog treats as a welcome gift was a lovely idea. We would have loved there to be less beds in the cabin to allow for more floor space! There were 4 bunk beds for 8 people so these took up all the floor space and there was no room to sit inside comfortably - we were a family of 4 with our dog!
Good central location and recommended for a weekend break, the Aqua park is well worth a visit. Overall we found it Tapnell Farm rather expensive, for example the Cow pub was charging £7.50 a pint and £20 for a burger. East chalet is also located next to the toilet block, during the night you'd hear the noise from the Macerator, not ideal for a restful break.
