This was a fantastic residential. The site is set in a perfect location surrounded by beautiful countryside but within reach of lots of great places for days out including the local beaches. All of the staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful. I can't recommend this residential highly enough.
We had a lovely stay at Tapnell farm. We booked the aqua park and booked the padel court a couple of times, both activities were fantastic. We ate in the cow restaurant and agreed they served some of the best burgers we’ve eaten. The games room was also a big hit with my boys, we will definitely be back to stay again.
Great house for our group and such a bonus to be next to Tapnell farm with all the facilities and such a beautiful location- we will definitely Italy be back!
Perfect location , really cosy chalet with everything you need , super comfy beds and really clean inside Lovely eco products and added bonus of easy recycling facilities close by even food waste Staff at the shop were so friendly and helpful The cow was also excellent Nothing negative to say but would have liked instructions for the tv found it quite confusing but that’s more user error Highly recommend Stunning views too Would def love to come back again
Choosing this venue was the best decision we made for our wedding! While the setting itself is absolutely stunning, it was the incredible team that truly made our day everything we dreamed of and more. A huge thank you to Chloe for her outstanding support during the planning phase. Whether we had big questions or small, last-minute enquiries, Chloe was always there to help with a smile. She was so patient and thorough, ensuring that every detail was perfectly accounted for. When we walked in on the day, the setup was breathtaking—it was even better than we had pictured in our minds, and we kn...more
We had an amazing stay at The Wendy House, it has everything you could wish for and so much more. Such a gorgeous huge house in a beautiful location, surrounded by fields on Tapnell Farm. Stunning views from every window. The photos don’t do it justice, it’s fabulous inside and out! The park farm is definitely worth visiting, lots of lovely animals, so well looked after and things for children of all ages to do. We had a lovely lunch at The Cow, excellent food and service.
We stayed in a Dome and booked last minute, which included a discounted ferry. The Dome was great, very spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The bathroom is huge and shower powerful. The kids loved the bunk beds! The view is incredible, my only slight complaint is that the domes aren’t soundproof and you can hear your neighbours. There are earplugs provided, but I just found it a shame as it’s just a peaceful location otherwise. It was only me that noticed it, my husband and children didn’t at all. We picked up the free fresh eggs for breakfast - delicious! We also visit...more
Our party of 18 stayed at East Afton over Christmas and the New Year. The kids took full advantage of the free entry to Tapnnall Farm, toddlers were ferried by car but the older ones and adults enjoyed the short walk across the fields. The accommodation was perfect for us with enough space to seek a spell of peace and quiet if you need a spell away from the full on Christmas excitement. We took a slow cooker and large pans as we were unsure whether weed need extra for cooking a full Christmas meal for so many, but it was unnecessary as the kitchen had everything we needed especially wi...more
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The location is fantastic, and having access to everything the farm has to offer was a fantastic bonus. There were some basic things missing from the accommodation that you would expect to find in a self catering property, such as cling film/tin foil, kitchen roll etc. Generally it was very clean, though some things had been missed. I would say it felt a bit confused as to what it was trying to be, for luxury glamping it didn't quite hit the mark. However, it easily could be with some upgrades and maintenance. Equally for a middle market stay, it easily fall...more
If you need a lovely compact place for a short stay, this was great. Clean and what an amazing location. Staff are always so kind.
.... Nice scenery, wood fire, hot tub...safe place to be. The cloakroom it's poorly designed, but focusing on the nice part of life, I'll get there again and I'll drink less beer.
Had a great 3 night stay in the dome, very well equip for all your needs and the addition of the hot bath was great for the evenings! We only used the outdoor fire pit which was great fun, would have like to use the indoor fire but in July it was far too hot, one of the fans in the dome wasn’t working so it was exceptionally hot during the day! We also struggled with locking the door which we think was due to the heat, could do with access to a freezer or ice sold on site, getting to the domes is also a little tricky, general signage on the farm is ok
As a primary school from London, we recently visited and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The children thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the trip and were engaged, excited, and smiling throughout. The accommodation was excellent, comfortable, and well-suited to our group's needs. The food was also outstanding, with plenty of choice and meals that the children really enjoyed. What truly made the visit special was the incredible staff. Tapnell Farm is a great place to stay, great sunsets in the evening. We stayed in one of the Domes but picked the wrong week as the temperature inside the Dome was not the place to be, we had 3 fans provided which helped at night but was just to hot. We cooked outside on the BBQ provided which was good and the firepit was great (coal firelighters and logs provided by Tapnell). Double bed was ok but had a wooden ledge around the bed so not that easy to get in or out. Kitchen fully kitted out with all the essentials a Freezer in the fridge would have be a plus! Bathroom nice and big with ...more
We stayed in the piglet recently for a wedding. It was a charming little arrangement and yet all needs were catered for. Very clean and a lovely setting.
We only stayed for one night and as a family we had an amazing time. Our children have wonderful memories and are always asking when we are going. We will definitely be going back.
We had a wonderful stay at Poachers Lodge. There were 8 of us including 2 small children and a baby. Nothing was too much trouble in the lead up to our stay and we were even given regular text updates about an earlier check in time, as we had travelled a long way with a baby and children. The accommodation was fantastic. So roomy and places for us all to spread out and relax both inside and outside of the house. The garden was safe for children and lovely and big for them to run around. The kitchen was fabulous and so well equipped. Made cooking for the family easy. There were so ma...more
We had a lovely stay at Little Lodge. Well appointed kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms and the most gorgeous views. Only improvement would be an L shaped sofa to fit 4 people and a lamp in the living room. Otherwise was perfect.
We had a great stay, loved the views and campfire, showers and loos great, could do with a couple more hooks, bed comfy, plug sockets essential, thank you for adding a lockable door on the container. Nice walk into freshwater, got a cab back for £8 as the kids were tired. The cow was yummy, the farm a great day.... Feeding animals, go karts, trampoline all brill. The kids 9,11,13 had a great mini hol. Will be back.
From the start to the end, everything was perfect. Pods are welcoming and comfortable. The little touches have been well thought out. Although the accommodations were busy, we never heard noise or felt things were busy. It was a lovely relaxing and peaceful stay.
Wow wow wow. I live on the Island but organised a get together with old school friends- 16 of us. The Manor was well above my expectations- everything was perfect and the views amazing. Everything was on hand. Plenty of beds, space (didn’t even use dining room, games room and one of the lounges) Beautiful gardens. Free entry to Farm which was entertaining and booked Slomo - another great afternoon. Cocktails at Cow Everything perfect even down to endless supply of tea towels !! Highly recommend to all - all blown away by the high standard - Many thanks
We really enjoyed our time at tapnell, the lodge was clean and comfy and the little extra touches like adding a high chair for our son and a doggy goody bag for our dog were unexpected and really well received! Thank you

We had a lovely stay. The pods are so secluded and peaceful. Very easy to check in and very clean and comfortable. Would love to come back
The dome was a lot more spacious than I had anticipated and we loved the layout and amenities. The bed was super comfy, the bunkbeds were fab and the cot for the little one. It was all easy to navigate with the little ones and everything was just quite easy. The fans were all working and already in the dome (it was hot when we visited), but everything was prepped for the cold with wood in the fire pit and stove. It was just a very easy stay with things already thought of, like the deck chairs and parasol in the cupboard, or the mosquito nets and plug ins. We also got a breakfast hamper and it ...more
We stayed for the weekend in one of the Piglets. Our stay was fantastic we were there for a wedding and had everything we needed in the piglet and shower room, would definately recommend

We had a wonderful stay, great location we did the Farm Park and Aqua Park. The container was lovely and warm. The showers were clean. Every thing seemed new. The kitchen area and fridge was so useful. As a family of 4 we would have preferred less beds (there were 8) and more communal space in the container - especially as it was raining.

Thank you for a lovely stay once again. The modulogs are perfect! Just an upgrade from a 4 foot six double would be an added bonus for us at 6ft 4 and 6ft. The location is stunning, so peaceful. The freedom for the kids to head to the farm and the slides is great. Loved the wallabies!!
Lovely location, with lots to do for all generations. We were part of a party of over 30, staying in 2 accommodations. With age ranges from 2 to 67. Great farm with a good variety of activities. Dairymans Cottage was well adapted for access and comfort.
We love Tapnell Farm- such a good family vacation spot. Great budget accommodation and the cow restaurant is great too with activities on site.
We had an amazing stay at Camp Tapnell in the shipping containers. The showers were good, hot and clean. the toilets had hand dryers with hair dryers attached and toddler seats as part of seat which really helps with little kids. The kitchen area was well provided with toaster, air fryer and fridges and a microwave. They had provide soap in toilets and washing up liquid in kitchen. lots of drinking water taps near to containers too. we went into Tapnell farm and the kids loved it so much for the kids to do. We also experienced the Barn, Boots and Beats event in the evening which was great fun....more
Container is great, was so glad of the sturdy frame when it was rainy and windy all night. Was ready a bit early, found the pizza oven by safari tents and made pizza which the kids loved, farm is great and not too busy so lots of go karts, trampolines, bouncy pillow. Cafe nice but quite expensive, cappuccino £4, yummy cakes. Tesco 3 miles away in freshwater is handy for a meal deal etc. The cow was good but again quite expensive, nice atmosphere though and interesting layout, staff helpful. Nice views from farm good for parents while watching kids play. Camp tapnell loos and showers really cle...more
The snug was very comfortable and has everything you need, only thing missing is air conditioning! Apart from that it was lovely, bed was very comfortable, kitchen was properly equipped. Toilet and shower was very modern and clean. Overall 8/10 stay, only issues we had was the heat and the mosquitos, but the accommodation is on a farm so it’s understandable that there will be mozzies!
We had a lovely 5 days at Poachers Perch at Tapnell Farm. Everything you need for your holiday is provided, such as towels, dishwasher tablets, plates, cups, cutlery etc. There is a pretty outdoor area with a wonderful view where you can sit with a drink and bathe in the sunshine. Tapnell Farm itself is perfect for families and offers an aqua park, visits with the animals, an on-site restaurant, gift shop, club house with games, a coffee shop and sauna for the adults. It is worth noting Poachers Perch is situated on the outer edges of the farm and is near to a fairly busy road, however it does...more
Excellent facilities (kitchen/bathrooms). We had an issue with a smelly rug which was dealt with promptly. Otherwise very clean. Only feedback is that the website/instructions makes it sound like there’s a farm shop when there isn’t. A shop would have been really useful. It talks about buying pizza from farm shop and using pizza oven but no sign of either. Otherwise it was good value and would recommend.
Amazing accommodation and facilities. Was a great last minute booking- would have stayed longer and made use of the area had it not just been for the festival! I will return.
We had a brilliant stay and really appreciate the changes you've made. The food was excellent and really helped with the children's energy levels. The activities were spot on where there was something for everyone. Thanks so much to all staff who all worked really hard to make it a great week.
Second time visiting this place. Such a lovely spot and so fun for the children. Facilities excellent. Only trouble was some people arrive not expecting camp site and assume hotel facilities! Showers and toilets fantastic. Staff prompt if any concerns. Very practical accommodation layout. Suggest a pump dispenser for washing up liquid as people use too much and it's gone within a day. Thank you
We stayed in one of the containers in Camp Tapnell - fantastic location. So much to do on the farm itself. The container was perfect for us - comfortable beds and great shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. We ate dinner at the Cow restaurant- delicious! Also had a go on the aqua park- great fun!
Everything you possibly need is contained within a family fun packed area. Kids ask to repeat this trip every year!
We loved the variety of things to do at the farm and the quality of the provision. Lots to do for those with young ones (2-10 yrs). For those kids who are slightly older, the teenagers, there is not so much to get stuck into beyond a couple of hours on site, but our daughter still enjoyed it and spent time with her younger sister. Accommodation is great, warm and we liked the novelty. The kitchen was stacked full of equipment, which made life so much easier. Loved all the signage throughout the site which outlined which guests should use what. The shower block was awesome for a camping sit...more
Great clamping experience and lovely location. Loads to do on the farm. Good facilities. Definitely recommended.
A fabulous stay with breathtaking views! The piglet had all I needed for a fabulous few nights sleep. The separate bathroom was really spacious and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience
This was my first time at Tapnell Farm and I loved it. The morning views are amazing. The whole area is really well designed to allow a real sense of space everywhere. We booked into the Slomo sauna/lake/ice bath experience and it was excellent. Organisation from start to finish was clear, easy and friendly
