This lovely apartment had the 'wow' factor as soon as we went through the door. A stylish kitchen, great showers in the bathroom and ensuite, and new bedding in both rooms. The views from the lounge and bedroom were amazing. Would definitely stay again.
What an amazing time we had on our recent holiday In devon. This self catering accommodation was absolutely fabulous and we will definitely be returning. The location was brilliant. The views were incredible, the owners and the lady who works for them they were all absolutely brilliant with our whole family They looked after us so well and couldn’t do enough for us , the man even brought a little cow to see us and the children, it was just so lovely. Our place was spotless and they had thought of everything. Thank you for a fabulous holiday. We just wished the sun ☀️ would’ve shone a little b...more
Lovely cottage with excellent accessible facilities in a beautiful location. The friendly owners are on hand to give any support or advice.
Absolute fantastic place to stay, great with the children, so much freedom would definitely recommend. The cleanliness was immaculate. Attention to detail is 2nd to none, lovely couple who run the accommodation. Wish the family who are running it all the best in the future. Absolutely brilliant very homely The Theakstone family
We checked in for the long weekend and it was just spectacular! The location the views and above all the hosts. They made us feel at home and literally took care of us throughout. I would highly recommend this place for a short trip or even if you are looking to get married as they have done up their new barn now!
Had a lovely stay here , cottage was lovely and it is in a good location. The scones, cream and jam were a nice treat.
We've just got back from another wonderful week at Courtyard Cottage. The location is great, it really feels like you are in the countryside, but the town is 5 mins away. We spent several days at the sandy beaches (only 20 min car journey) that are perfect for body boarding and surfing, enjoyed sea kayaking and loved the coastal walks and views. The cottage has everything you need and to a high spec, making it feel luxurious. The owners are attentive, the welcome pack was delicious, and our children loved seeing their dogs and eating Smores by the firepit one evening. Overall a fantastic stay,...more
We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay at this beautiful shepherd’s hut just outside Barnstaple. Tucked away in the Devon countryside, it offered the perfect escape from everyday life. The views across the open fields were absolutely stunning, and we especially loved watching the cows roam freely in the field right in front of the hut – it was such a calming experience. The hut itself was cosy and well-equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was a real highlight – soaking in the warm water under the stars, surrounded by nature, was just magical. It’s quiet, private, and the i...more
My wife and I enjoyed five nights in the Stable Cottage. Because the weather was mostly perfect, we left the doors and windows open and enjoyed the air. The owner dropped in. She was delightful.
The shippon is probably the nicest accommodation we have stayed in whilst holidaying in Devon. The cottage is very high end everything you need has been thought off. Beautifully presented and very spacious. Very thoughtful leaving some milk and teabags for arrival and a lovely bottle of fizz. Also the putsborough beach parking pass is very handy as parking can be expensive at some of the beaches. Its a lovely quiet sandy beach perfect for swimming and families. There are so many lovely places you can get to within 30 mins of this cottage.Owners were very helpful with local info prior to our st...more

This cottage provided an absolutely wonderful summer holiday for our family this August 2025 the best part was the garden at the back which was huge and provided really nice views of surrounding countryside and was nice and quiet around and it was wonderful to sit in the garden and just listen to the sounds of nature, including the bleeding sheep and mooing cows in the distant fields. Another excellent part of the cottage was the games room with its pool table and table tennis. This is something the children really enjoyed. The cottage itself was also very comfortable indeed and immaculately c...more
Our extended family rented four of the cottages for a long weekend and we had a lovely time. The swimming pool, games room and conservatory are such nice sociable spaces and cater for kids and adults alike. The views are gorgeous, the cottages are cosy and the owners are super friendly and helpful. Can't recommend enough!
We stayed with extended family in this beautiful and spacious house. Poor weather but great place for exploring Dartmoor. Games room very popular will all!
What can I say? Located in a haven of peace and tranquility. The Hen House is extremely private with fantastic views from the raised decking. So relaxing when using the hot tub at the end of the day. It is furnished to a high standard and the owners have done their best to anticipate their guests' needs. The biscuits and prosecco they left for us was a nice touch. In terms of location, it is a handy base, being within about 30 minutes of most of the North Devon places of interest As you'd expect, being based in a rural area, you need to navigate single lane country roads to get there ...more
Return visit to this lovely apartment. The new owners have continued with the high standards of the previous owner Jenny. Immaculately clean throughout, everything you need for a perfect stay, including some treats. This spacious apartment is very comfortable and a home from home. Great location, parking and views. We will definitely be back soon, thank you to everyone, the cleaner, the hosts and ‘My Favourite Cottages’ for a seamless stay.
Ideal for a family of 10. Plenty of space within the house. Well appointed. Extensive areas outside for the children. Arrival package much appreciated. We loved it!
We had a wonderful week at this lovely cottage; it was perfect for my mum with MS and limited mobility using a walker. Facilities are tasteful and not obtrusive and all finished to a high standard. A great rural location with amazing views from the top of the farm but just 10 minutes from Barnstaple and easy to get to all the regional highlights. Wonderful local pub just a mile or so down the road too. Highly recommended, would definitely return.
Lovely stay at Coachman’s, great instructions/directions. Property was spotless, very comfortable and just a few steps from the south coast path. Perfect
We stayed for a week with our two dogs. What a stunning location, everything was clean and ready when we arrived.
We stayed at swallow cottage for a week over the Easter break. The weather wasn't the best but my 2 boy's aged 7 & 11 had plenty to do including dips in the indoor heated swimming pool and fun in the well equipped games room. The hosts we're brilliant and helpful but not intrusive just leaving us to enjoy the stay. They even put on a Easter egg hunt for all the kids staying with cakes and drinks for both children and adults, even the adults had suprise egg's in the hunt! Basically we had a brilliant stay and will almost definitely return for another great holiday.
Stunning views, great location. Great base to explore area, helpful and friendly Tors Park staff. Gorgeous apartment for a special stay! Steep walk (but short walk) down to Lynmouth. Would recommend The Oak room (Tapas) restaurant in Lynton. Had a great meal there. Would definitely stay at Tors Park again in the future.
A wonderful holiday. In relaxed mode all week, no complaints, perfect location away from the busy little shops of Fowey. Cottage in the corner plot with view of the countryside was fabulous and not disturbed by anymore. We have come home for a rest we walked many miles daily!! We will be returning summer 2026 for sure!
A really lovely home from home. Very comfortable and set in the most tranquil of locations. A short drive down lanes to reach the main roads but very quiet lanes which never posed a problem.
Tranquil setting being at the end of a private driveway, with ample parking and fantastic views. Walk available from the bottom of the garden along the estuary. Short walk down to the centre of St Mawes. Comfortable seating and dining for our party of 7. Beds quite firm but overall very spacious well equipped accommodation. Amanda very helpful with booking queries. Good directions given to the property. Consensus from our party was that we loved our stay at Seagulls and St Mawes and also taking the ferry to Falmouth.
Amazing views and a comfortable, well equipped cottage - we were super lucky with the weather & made the most of the hot tub!
A lovely place. Friendly hosts, beautiful views over the hills. Perfectly placed to be able to visit lots of places in North Devon and then come back to the hot tub, play pool and table tennis and sleep!! Prosecco an added bonus!
great house for family although when i booked i went by the photo advert and its further from sea than i initially thought and the hill to the beach is not for elderly or disabled. the house was well equipped and very clean . lovely to have an hot tub but it was far too hot and we couldn’t just it. just a few bits that could do either a bit of tlc.the patio leading off the bedroom needs a lot of sprucing up as as the nars around it were very rusty. There are a lot of weeds around the front of the garden(also the back)just a bit of tidying up is all that’s needed. And we would have loved to...more
Lovely property in pretty grounds, outdoor play area a bonus. Good use of space in the living area, well equipped.
Hi, i stayed in apartment 20, a one bedroom apartment. The whole location has been renovated to a very high standard, curtesy lights abound in the hallways and grounds so you never miss a step. Inside the accommodation it’s quality and new throughout, sharp knives, clean ovens, a very efficient and easy to light log burner, the heating is very efficient to so turn down the radiators if you light the fire. There is absolutely nothing that disappoints here. IMO, the only flaw/ drawback, is that it’s on a very high cliff, fabulous for views but if your not mobile then walking out to go for meals...more
Everything nice but difficult to do something by feed. I would recomment the cottage to other guests.
We had a good stay at the lodge. Need to read the conditions info as I missed the section on what is not supplied
Well equipped - spacious bedrooms and living area Good sized dog proof garden Well equipped kitchen and utility Ideal location for local amenities and beach
What a lovely place .. The owners and their daughter were so welcoming especially to my little girl who is desperate for me to re book it all again .. Can’t wait to go back .. Perfect holiday.. Thanks so much . Marcus Lilly and family
Best: Cooking on the AGA Beautiful walks direct from the house View, view ,view Atmosphere, open fire Multiple rooms to relax ( and some work..) The best housekeeper Jean, ever
Beautiful house in a wonderful setting with some really great views. On the whole we had a very good time and the bedrooms were very nice. Had to repair two showers and only one induction saucepan. The house is really a gem and would need just a little more care with a few things that would need to be a little refurbished. I would highly recommend it.
I’ll start with the positives, the views from the cottage are fantastic, the living area is open plan, modern and well equipped , comfortable sofas, all great for modern family living. Beds were comfortable and all bedrooms a good size, bathrooms modern and plenty of hot water. Unfortunately now onto negatives.. the ground floor bedroom was not as described, only a double bed and no wardrobe..,the upstairs twin also lacked storage…as said before the view is amazing but the cottage really needs comfortable outside seating to appreciate it from ! And our biggest issue was the wifi & so tv.. we...more
Haven’t been to Woolacombe for 4 years after previously going annually for 12 years - still a lovely family resort with fab beach but we thought some places had gone downhill unfortunately and without The Beachcomber to go to next year we think we might give Woolacombe a miss as there isn’t an abundance of eateries - we did enjoy Miss Fea’s Bistro in Morthoe, The Jube and The Meraki Coffee Co. The house is probably in the best location - it has wonderful sea views that I don’t think can be beaten by any other Woolacombe property. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely although it would have...more
Firstly we had a lovely holiday, the location was perfect for us. The house whilst needing a bit of updating (old rusty microwave etc.) is overall okay, with good bathrooms/showers. We had a number of challenges with 7/8 adults staying, which may not be an issue for smaller groups. There is only a very small under counter fridge, which wasn’t working well, certainly not large enough to cater for a week or two for 8 if you plan BBQ/cooking. One of the eight beds is actually a ‘camp bed’ so for an adult was not practical and thus was squeaky. A number of pieces of garden furniture were ...more
We enjoyed our stay at Lakeview, my husband liked the fishing, I did find a bit rural for me as roads very narrow.
The cottage was immaculately clean, well equipped, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. It is set in beautiful countryside and a short drive from both Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. The grounds are lovely, especially the lakes, and Janine was the perfect hostess, friendly and helpful.
Great location Parking and access cause issue for some Clean and tidy property Only 2 of us so cannot comment for larger group(s)
Old world charm country cottage , good size rooms . Limited access to upstairs. Staircase steep not suitable for the elderly. Quiet location with good access for parking but only limited roadway to cottage. I.e only room for one car on roadway on lane.
The cottage was nice, but dark inside always needed a light on in kitchen, very clean and comfortable beds very comfy only downside no mop and bucket no vacuum cleaner, nowhere to hang damp coats or damp towels, could do with some hooks at the back of the doors in bedrooms, but still enjoyed our stay.
Return visit to this beautiful location and amazing cottage, stunning views, right across the road from the beach, wonderful bars/restaurants and shops. Bright and clean and yet feels like home. Would definitely return, wonderful service from company, lots of nice extra's on arrival.
Lovely comfortable family holiday at Nuide house. Everything provided for and spacious house with all amenities provided
Having stayed in Kittiwake cottage previously (2018) we were disappointed to see it was no where as nice/clean as our previous visit. The property is beginning to look a little tired & in need of redecorating. The bed in the main bedroom is sooooooo soft, I imaging if you're overweight (we aren't & it was still very uncomfortable) you'll pretty much be sleeping on the floor! We had to ask for another tea towel (only one provided), washing up brush & kitchen surface cleaner, all of which were supplied the next day but really should be in the property already. I think we left the property cle...more
A lovely little cottage that had a beautiful view. In a very peaceful location, only about 20 minutes away from gorgeous beaches. A great central location for visiting Croyde, Ilfracombe and the local beaches. Clean kitchen and bathroom and very useful to have a dishwasher. The table outside was great for eating outside in the summer evenings. Our host was very helpful and responsive and kindly let us check out late as it was my son’s birthday. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Just returned from a week at the Byre. Very nice property, well positioned for exploring North Devon.
Great place xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
We had a lovely short stay in Bluestone Point in Mortehoe. It was easy to find and get the keys. The apartment was on the 1st floor. Stairs or a lift to access it. It was clean and well equipped. Lovely partial sea view from the balcony. Excellent to have a decent sized allocated parking space. Thank you for the welcome treats of fudge, milk and teabags. Very welcome after a long journey. The campsite shop 2 mins walk along the road was useful to get more milk, etc. The carpets showed some signs of wear and had a dog smell coming from them when we arrived, so that might be a considerati...more
We booked Diana’s cottage for a weekend with grandchild of 10 months to attend a 90th birthday party in Braunton. First impressions were that we’d walked into faulty towers…it’s a very old building and it looks like the decor hasn’t changed much either …reminded me of my grans house when I was a kid. The views are great and it’s a large property with a huge garden area so if you want quiet then it would be great. The bed linen was clean and crisp. The house was very warm heated by a number of storage heaters and mobile heaters, some of which set too high with a toddler roaming. However f...more
